Cute little restaurant, friendly staff and the food was incredible (so was the margarita). I'll definitely go back, the menu is pretty big, so there's lots to try.

Lots of great options for everyone. They have a vegetarian section in their menu, but many of their other dishes can also be made vegetarian or vegan thanks to their amble vegetarian protein options. I really liked the enfrijoladas.

It's very difficult to find such great tacos in the city. We totally recommend it. Also the staff is suuuper friendly.

My wee family went for lunch yesterday after reading all the great reviews. Sadly 2 out of 3 of us were quite disappointed. I really wanted to like what I was eating, and perhaps I would have had it been served hot instead of lukewarm, and if I hadn't found hard crunchy bits of rice mixed in with the more edible bits, or if my beef taco had been shredded beef instead of ground beef which was so greasy it made me feel queasy. I couldn't eat it. The beef thing was my fault since I didn't ask about it, but rather made an assumption that it was not ground beef.
Bottom line - it was mediocre in flavour, we, who had the tres taco plate were served room temperature food so I wasn't compelled to finish my cold beans or crunchy rice. One of chicken tacos was watery and cold and the other had potato mixed in which I wasn't expecting, and because I had given my beef taco to my partner, which left me with probably less than an ounce of protein my my plate, I ended up buying a sandwich in the mall an hour later because I was so freaking hungry. That was $77.00 for lunch for 3 that I actually regret.
The woman who served us was lovely but she did not come by to check in with us about the meal. I doubt I would chance going there again.

Came here May 3/23. Very, very good. Good guacamole, had tres tacos and plantain, and beer. Everything was good, each taco was tasty, each sauce was delish. The waiter was super helpful, and left us alone once our party was chatting. Maybe the best meal of this kind I’ve have in Ottawa. I will be back

Though I have nothing bad to say about this place I should mention that the food is on the pricey side for a portion you'd hope would be bigger. That said the soups they serve are delicious but the chilaquiles lacked the flavour I had hoped for and this goes for their tacos. Overall pretty decent but if you come from a Mexican background this might not meet your expectations.

Very solid breakfast/lunch spot. Visited on a Sunday and the place was packed. Good and responsive service. The food - Sausage Eggs Benedict, was excellent. Nice ambiance too.

There is plenty of good Mexican food in Ottawa, but this restaurant is AUTHENTIC! It definitely stands apart from the others I have tried.

Every bite brought back memories of the South and Central American restaurants I used to visit in Texas.

Food was so good. High quality. About $20 per dish average. The staff were such hard workers and so sweet. Would def recommend this place. The decor and vibes were so nice also.

I've been wanting to try this little place since I moved to Ottawa a year ago. My only disappointment is that I haven't tried it sooner. I stopped in yesterday on a whim; I think maybe the restaurant was closing but the sign wasn't turned yet; they were happy to serve me for takeout. I had 3 tacos (2 pollo & 1 carnitas) with a side of plantain. The flavors were INSANE. Arguably the best tacos I've had in Ottawa so far. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items.

Came here for lunch. The wait time for the food was almost 30 minutes and the food arrived cold. Food did not have taste. Totally disappointed with my first visit.

The character of this building has made me want to try it for a while! We stopped in around 7pm and had a quiet dinner for two. The prices are good for dinner - $20 each and we were good and full.

We ordered the tostitas plate and tacos + yuca fries. The chorizo taco was amazing! The yuca fries were also very satisfying with a crunchy outside and soft inside. We also loved the refried beans.

I read through some of the negative reviews (a bad habit I have) and a lot of people complained that the dish didn't match the menu photo. I took photos of my dishes and compared them with the menu and I'd say they're pretty accurate, so the owner must have fixed something. I attached photos of the menu vs our dishes. (The menu photos don't have utensils)

Recommended by Mexican friends and food are indeed really good. The friendly waiter gave us cakes as a little gift for our birthday!

Dined in with a friend recently, I ordered Enchilada Roja and added on beans and rice. It was delicious, I ate the whole thing! Also loved the service, definitely returning sometime soon.

I can't say enough good about this place. Finally I've found good Mexican food in Ottawa!

I am so disappointed I haven't been here sooner! Tried the Chicharron en Salsa Verde (with cactus), and it completely surpassed any expectations. Perfectly balanced, made with love and care, and absolutely delicious. Sides were equally amazing. Yucca fries are fantastic.

I cannot wait to try more of their menu. This is by far the absolute best Latin American (not just Mexican) food I've had. Seriously awesome. Thank you William for your wonderful service.

Amazing food and superb service! I am vegan and my girlfriend is vegetarian and there were a ton of options for us. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. This will definitely be a new fave for us.

I got the milk cake (idk if that’s the name but he told me it’s a milk cake) so yes the milk cake was amazing <3 I wanna go back and try more stuff <3 the guy at the counter was very sweet

Very polite young man greeted me, took my order and the food was delicious! The best Mexican restaurant in Ottawa. The inside is very pretty. You have to go try.

It was my first time going to a fiesta latina and when we arrived we were greeted by a woman who gave us water but never brought us the menu until I asked for it later I kept plating with my friend we are both Mexicans we saw that time passed and our food had never been When we went out, we only ordered tacos, we sat for 25 minutes, Canadians arrived and they attended to them until I decided to get up and cancel my order and a person came out and told me that they were busy that if I stayed he would give me the food, I really felt discriminated against. I was going to pay for my food and leave a tip I don't know why they didn't even bother to tell us that they were behind on the orders.

Fantastic! September 2021, went with parents. Huge menu with lots of selection for tacos. I think there were 15+ fillings? ! Enjoyed cactus for the first time, and the staff was really helpful in making decisions and exceptions for my family. Definitely coming back here to try out the whole vegetarian section.

Came back in June 2022 for a hasty lunch pickup. I was a little nervous without a time estimate but they actually got everything through the door in about 12 minutes which was great. Birria soup was a fun thing to try, I'd recommend it. Very hearty with chickpeas.

We showed up after closing time and the super friendly staff welcomed us and still served us with a smile! We eat a lot of Mexican as we live down there for part of the year. Their food is authentic and delicious, we are visitors to Ottawa but would definitely recommend!

Ordered the Picada for takeout, which had a whole bunch of appetizers in one dish. Was really good! Yuca Frita were the best I’ve had at a restaurant! And their plantains were different from what I’ve had, but I just kept eating them! Also had a few tacos and enjoyed them - especially Cochinita Pibil. Definitely will be going back again!

One day coming home from work I decided to stop by La Fiesta Latina. What I thought was going to be a tasty Thursday treat, turned to a terrible turnout. I ordered two large chicken quesadillas. The cashier said it would take 15 minutes. It took half an hour, the food was bland and I was alert wondering where the chicken was. Service was friendly.

I ordered the tortilla soup and enchiladas with the green sauce. I waited 25 minutes, and the server said there was no green sauce. So I opted for the red. The red sauce was not traditional, more like a marinara. Very disappointing. The tortilla soup also had corn which doesnt typically come in this soup, at least in my many travels in mexico. Don't recommend.

Real tacos! Can’t wait to try their other foods from down south. Claudio is the man! In his tacos we trust.

Great food, will be back to try more. Loved our server who was honest and full of sass - I would come back for him alone.
