La Paloma Gelateria & Cafe

Being here for the ice cream with my server is continuously on the phone on her earpiece and not even focussing to serve us. Gelato was ok. Not worth coming so far.

Customer service is horrible and has gone down hill at this location one lady is on her phone with no care in the world, the other was extremely rude as well. Customer service makes or breaks a business it comes before the product it’s self. Very disappointed even more so being part of this community and coming to this location for so many years.

Always have to grab some gelato at the car meets. The hazelnut was delicious, cars were also dope

We have enjoyed the Espresso and variety of Gelatos from this place for around 20 years now. It could get very busy here at times, especially on summer weekends. Espresso always tastes good. Cappuccino is also good here. Lets not forget about their cold lemon water they offer. They dont have too many varieties of cookies/pasteries, but what they do offer are pretty delicious. Their biscottis are bomb.

This place is always clean. It is a large place with plenty of tables. It is also family friendly.

I always try to hold back from posting bad reviews when it comes to bad experiences but after reading all these reviews here, I strongly agree that the ladies that work here are not friendly at all but we still visit from time to time. Just wish they would take all these reviews into consideration and care about treating customers better. A little smile and just a hello when greeting customers goes a long way.

Espresso and their cookies are good. Variety of different Gelato flavours that taste so delicious. We have made a lot of good memories with friends throughout the years. I'm only taking one star away until I notice a possitive difference with the staff.

Absolutely overrated! Customer service was ok but the gelato’s are not worth it. There is no taste and flavour.

I'm not sure why the owners are still operating when they clearly show contempt for their business, customers and staff. The older lady (the owners' wife or girlfriend I believe) is a horrendous woman. I thought maybe I caught her on a bad day the first time I witnessed her abuse. However, in 3 visits I've witnessed her berating her poor staff for minor things, while screaming at customers who ask for extra napkins. She crossed the line of verbal abuse in my opinion. It's no suprise why they have trouble retaining staff. Not sure why people haven't boycotted this place yet. Gelato is good but I'd never go back. As a small retail business owner myself there is no excuse for the ownerships repeated abusive behavior and sense of entitlement. Sell the business or stay home if you're miserable! Family is complicated but ask your wife to stay home if you care about your business at all. She's toxic

Worst customer service ever. The owner is extremely rude. When asked to remake the coffee because it was not good he said it would cost him and did not end up remaking it. Worst place.

I’ve been here a few times over the years but it has gone right down hill from what it was. The customer service might as well be non-existent, the staff that works there doesn’t even make an attempt to be polite. The flavours have changed and not quite as rich and good as they used to. It is quite unfortunately but definitely will not be coming back here.

I haven't been to La Paloma in ages and when I came here, I was slightly disappointed. I did not find the staff to be very friendly, and it costed me $10 for a waffle cone with two flavours. The servings were not generous, like they are at Baskin Robbins. I don't think I will be going back to this place.

The gelato variety is great and whatever we tried tasted very good. The place itself is spacious with a lot of seats. The prices are reasonable but the staff need training. There was a long lineup but the staff didn’t seem in any rush to try to help. I asked a few questions as i wanted to decide weather to get a bigger portion for take out or the individual ones. The two girls at the cash were chatting and not really aware of the store’s ice cream portions. They need a bit of training.

Good selection of Ice Cream funny to see they have a limit of 1 sample per customer. Prices have gotten higher and there cones have changed they really cheaped out. Everything else ok but not satisfied 4 star only.

The gelato is excellent. Lots of flavors and tastes great. Customer service is quite bad however. The young girls working here don't greet you as you come in and have a miserable look on their face the entire time they serve you. They must not like working here. Advice to the owner, train your staff to be friendly or replace them if you can. I see alot of people writing the same thing in their reviews. If you are a good businessman you will listen to customer feedback. Would have given 5 stars if the service was better.

Customer service needs serious improvement especially when it comes to children. Taking a child out for a special treat should be a pleasant experience, yet when a child is treated with poor AND impatient level of service then the outing purpose is ruined for both the child & disappointed parents! Level of service makes or breaks the success of any establishment regardless of the product taste/quality!

This is my fav.place for icecream but i am giving only 1 for the staff they have.

Today when i went to get my icecream near to the closing time, the lady with blonde hair was taking care of my order. She was super rude and arrogant. Store needs to either train their employees or replace them. The only reason why would i not like to visit this place again is their untrained and arrogant staff.

I love the authentic Italian Gelato at this place! Many varieities of gelato flavours, sorbets and dairy/sugar free (5 flovours).
Tried soy Hazelnut and Soy Espresso. Both tasted great! They are serve coffee/espresso, some pastries, etc.
This place has customers always! Free parking in plaza.

Suggestional add on: to offer a dairy/gluten free cone as an option.

Great staff and lots of gelato flavours! Very delicious.we will definitely be back for more. Plenty of indoor seating to cool down on a hot day! Highly recommend.

Amazing selection of flavors. Seating area, good service. Call me cheap, but it seemed a bit pricey. Once in a while kinda deal.

Very quick service and very friendly and courteous staff. I take one star back because I tried the torrone gelato. Note that I have tried it at other places.this one was missing flavour and more crunch from lack of almonds etc.

The Gelato is delicious. I had mint chocolate and the Ferrero rocher flavors. Delicious and light. Staff were amazing and very pleasant.

I came with my mother since it was a sunny place. The gelato is good but the serving is garbage! I paid $15.50 for 2 ice creams and I got barely anything.it’s so disappointing. They put hardly in ice cream in the cup.they are cheap with how much they fill the cup!

This ice cream is way over priced and taste awful. This is not what italian gelato should taste like. They have weird cheap flavouring and way too sweet. The young girls serving are not friendly at all, and their attire for a family eatery was inappropriate.

Gelato was good but not worth the price paid for 2 small cups that were 30% air instead of gelato. Service was very cold both at the cashier and by the gelato scooper. Will find somewhere else to get my gelato in the future.

I love Italian gelato and Italian food in general. I come to La Paloma everytime I am near. Eating gelato makes me happy. I recommend buying the medium cup.

You changed the recipe for rocher Catarina my heart is broken I’m so sad. The new recipe is no where near the original I hope you reconsider! My husband and I drive up once a month from Brampton and buy a liter of gelato to bring home. The last two times I have been so disappointed? It’s my favorite please bring it back

My sister got way more gelato than she could possibly eat but she soldiered through it. She ate a third in the store, a third in the car, gasping for air as she filled up the brim with delicious gelato, and then the last third in the walk through Yorktown mall. Gelato so good it made her immune to the upturned noses and tut tuts of admonishment over her gelato-y face from of the kind of people who shop at Yorktown. Oh she's 35 btw.
