The food was absolutely AUTHENTIC — it might be a bit pricy but it is worth it as you get such a variety on your plate. And usually pupusas are small and VERY oily but these are not oily at all and are quite large. The service was meh, like the poor servers are so busy as there were only 2 today and we had to work hard to get their attention. They also forgot to place an order we asked for which is why I took away 2 stars. The atmosphere is nice, good cultural music and there are so many memoirs from El Salvador in the restaurant
My first timw going and waited for more than 25 minutes to get served and nothing. I i didn't even get a menu or anything. It definitely needs more servers and to be more efficient. I end up leaving the place never coming back
It was my first time here, and waited for more than 30 minutes to get served and nothing. We didn't even get a menu or anything. It definitely needs more servers and to be more efficient. Ended up, going to different place as we never got served
If you want authentic Salvadorian pupusas this is the place to come get it. Everytime we come to the city we have to visit this restaurant and get some pupusas, they're the best hands down!
Pupusas were good, but it's not worth it because of the bad customer service, the food took 50 minutes to arrive. The blonde waitress who served us had almost transparent leggings and all her underwear was visible, which is not nice when you're ready to eat I drove almost 4 hours from port dover on the recommendation of a friend. I will never return to this place because the experience was not pleasant!
A few days ago I visited the restaurant with some friends, I told them that the popusas were very tasty, but we arrived at 11, it is supposed that if they open at 11 it is so that the restaurant is already in service, a lady with a bad temper arrived, just us I turned to see the restaurant was very dirty she was sweeping it the waitress took a long time to serve us and told us that our food was going to take a while because the kitchen was not ready I don't understand why they opened if their restaurant was dirty and the kitchen was not ready yet serve orders, terrible service I have been working in a restaurant for 5 years and the restaurant is swept at night or before opening for customers, not when customers are already seated and their waitress service is very bad and slow, I arrived at the restaurant at 11 we ordered only three popusas and they were delivered to us at 11: 45
TERRIBLE customer service. A woman later in the evening refused to give the owner/manager's name so I could share my experience directly. Would not recommend.
Attitude is a GUARANTEE. Tonight I was served stale, poor quality food & received absolutely terrible costumer service over the phone. I will most definitely not be returning
I have only ordered the shrimp ceviche from this restaurant but it's so good that I get it once a week! I haven't tried anything else because I don't eat meat but im impressed with this dish. The parking lot sucks. Super busy and huge pot holes but that doesn't take away from how tasty the shrimp is! The staff are always friendly. The restaurant is always busy with customers, it's very popular! My order is always ready in a short time.
Really bad service. We went in to make an order for take out, ordered 6 pupusas, 10 tamales and PAID right away. We were told to pick up in an hour because they were very busy. When we came back to pick up our order we were told that the tamales that we had already paid for were sold to somebody else.
We had dinner plans for New Year's Eve with specific food requested. There was no sincere apology and no other options offered to us for their own mistake. We even had to ask them for a refund for the tamales. It seems their were more concerned with serving the people that came after us.
We enjoy the food at Pupusa Loka, but this time has left a very bad taste.
Food is excellent. And pupusas are really inexpensive but call 30 min before to order BCS they are not fast food and normally have a few orders ahead of yours.
I love La Pupusa Loka. We went for the first time during the pandemic, so we have only done take out. I highly recommend any of the pupusas, though the plain cheese one is my favourite! Handmade and extremely filling. My boyfriend has a healthy appetite and three are enough for a meal for him. If you want to mix up your dining options, this is a great place to try!
The ladies serving are generally friendly, courteous, and always get my order right. Good customer service. The food is what makes me come back everytime!
We are vegetarian so we tried pupusas. They are so tasty and freshly made. We call ahead of time to order take out and they tell you how long will take. The salad “curtido” and tomatoe sauce that comes with the pupusas are good portion as well. 2 or 3 pupusas will fill you up. My favourite is cheese and beans!
Long waiting times, food is average, price is also okay but the staff are very unwelcoming, I was segregated and discriminated because I refused to show my private medical records, saying”it’s the law” is ignorant.
Food is fantastic. Cant go wrong. Hot and fresh. While the cost may seem over priced when compared to what I'm accustomed to paying for this type of food while traveling, the prices are standard in Canada.
My order was wrong. We wait more than half hour for the food. And when we get home was wrong. We try to support local restaurants, but people who work there just take it for granted! We travel all the way from Burlington. Never come back.
Amazing food and great customer service I always recommend anyone to come to this place if you want authentic Spanish food can’t wait till they have indoor dine in. I drive 2 hours just to eat their food can’t wait till they have conchas negras cocktail.

These guys have some amazing papoosas! I've been going here for a few years now and I travel a good distance to get there. They seem very clean and organized. The pork and bean papoosas are simply amazing. The sauce and the house coleslaw just tops off an amazing experience.
Amazing pupusas! I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. My whole family comes here instead of any other pupusa restaurant closer to them (we’re talking people coming from Scarborough to Vaughan just to get them from here). Big portions and tasty and homey food. Please never close!
