I rarely give 1 star to anyone but my experience at this hotel was nothing short of terrible.
This has never happened in my many years of using hotels. The hotel only allows you one towel per person in a room. We asked for extra towels and the front desk staff flat our refused and said they simply "don't give extra towels at all". The front desk staff person (a male) and the manager (also male) were incredibly rude to me, didn't even try to provide service or understand where I was coming from. On top of that, the room was not the cleanest and the shower door didn't close so the water from the shower pooled on the floor outside the shower which instantly soaked the bath mat. We couldn't even exchange the wet ones for dry ones.
The manager said "it costs us money to wash the towels" to which I responded with "it costs me money to stay here, and there is a cost to doing business". He also generalized and also said people steal our towels.to which I said - "so youre assuming I'm going to steal these crunchy, bleach soaked towels? ". We are a travelling band and the venue recommended the hotel. The venue manager went over to the hotel and reminded them that they send people there weekly and that they would stop doing so if this was the issue. The hotel said they would provide us extra towels at an extra cost to which the venue manager said no to. They assured him they would out extra towels in the room to which they did not. We had to use hand towels to dry ourselves.

The downtown is not the best place to stay in, but the hotel is good, front desk are perfect, in case you need any help or guidance never hesitate to ask GAYAN, he would help you with everything and still smile to you and your questions, stayed there for 3 weeks

Overpriced and disguising rooms. The showers all had black mold. The hallways smelled like smoke. And on top of that it's ridiculously expensive. I would avoid staying here again.

Very nice and cozy room. The room service is friendly and does a great job. Downtown oshawa is a bit unsafe at night and the area around it during the night may feel tense. There are a lot of nearby food places though as well as buses to utilize. I stayed for a week and had a great experience there.

I recently had a less-than-satisfactory stay at La Quinta Hotel in Oshawa. Here are my main concerns:

Noise Levels: My room was located next to the lobby, which meant I experienced constant disturbances from the door being opened and closed throughout the night.
Cleanliness: The room left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. I found myself needing to clean the bathroom floor upon arrival, and the carpet had torn patches which can pose a safety hazard.
Amenities: The air conditioner in the room was not in the best condition and there were fruit flies throughout. When I requested an iron and ironing board, I received a broken iron and a board without a cover pad.
Overall Value: Given the issues I encountered, I didn't feel the hotel provided good value for money.
I hope the management of La Quinta Hotel takes this feedback to heart and considers making improvements. I believe it's important for booking platforms like Expedia to ensure they list properties that meet certain standards to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Stayed for 3 nights recently while helping my brother settle down in an Oshawa college. Perfect location to all business offices - banks, Ontario service centers, malls, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was ok considering the limited staff, but the service was good. Staff was quite friendly and we enjoyed getting to know few of them over the 4 days we stayed here. Parking is free, and the lot is behind the hotel. But it gets full by late evenings. Room quality was meh with hair dryer and TV remote not working. I’d still stay here given the budget and location of this hotel.

Nous avons choisi cet établissement pour être proche de la gare de train Durham College Go. Cet hotel est très propre, le service était bien et les lits sont confortables. La chambre était équipée d'un mini-frigo, un micro-onde, un écran plat avec un grand choix de chaines et une machine à café miniature. L'odeur de lo chambre était agréable et le climatiseur fonctionnait très bien. Les murs avaient des imperfection, quelques trous et il manquais la grille du ventilateur dans la salle de bain. Des petits détails sans importance pour nous.
Le stationnement est petit, mais le stationnement étagé qui est tout juste en diagonale de là est gratuit si vous demandez à l'accueil. Je recommande fortement.

It was a terrible night, we paid $200 and didn't even use the bed. The smell was gross, everything in the room was very old. Never returning here

Very nice little hotel in a nice neighborhood
Rooms were clean but hair dryer wasn’t working,
Bathrooms were clean and spacious, rooms, common areas were nice and maintained
Complimentary breakfast was alright- not too many items but they were being stocked up well
Parking is limited on site but they provide vouchers for a public parking down the street when it’s full
Staff were nice and courteous and helpful

Would not recommend at all. We stayed in room 112 for two nights. The first night everything seemed fine aside from no tv remote but I woke up the next day very itchy with red spots. Thought maybe it was mosquitos and carried on with our day. That night, I became very itchy around my ankles and backs of my legs. Got up and investigated to find bed bugs.

I captured one and brought it to the front desk. The employee moved us to the room next, 110 and stayed the manager would see us in the morning for a refund.

I documented everything. Took photos of the bites. Catalogued every item we will now have to throw out or pay to have steam treated.

Spoke to the manager the next morning when he arrived. Was told we would not be receiving a refund, nor any sort of assistance with our belongings that now need treatment. We are from Alberta. We now have to deal with this mess and possible contamination before heading home.

Absolutely unacceptable by management. I'm covered in bites on my legs, itchy as hell.

Guy at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Bed in the room was clean and comfortable. Location was quiet. I needed a place that was close to a particular location in Oshawa and this was pretty much the cheapest option on the night.

Hotel itself is tired and dirty. Actually filthy is probably a better word.: (

Damp smell in the hallways and the room. Heater / A/C in the room was filthy with dust. Mould all over the shower in the bathroom. I had a late check in and had to park in a garage across the street and corner. Making the walk back from there at 2am on a weeknight was an experience I'm not keen to repeat any time soon.

I don't regret staying there, it was cheap and a clean quiet bed gave me what I needed, but I will not rush back any time soon.

The room was clean and front desk was friendly. My problem is LOCATION. Very sketchy part of town. There was a lot of beggars and clear drug users. I had two kids with me and felt very uncomfortable going from my car to hotel. Also the lobby and halls reeked like weed.

The staff are ignorant, rude and do not stand by their word! Got hung up on when I called twice! Disgusting service

The fridge was not plugged in, the air conditioner was not working well but over all the room was clean and the staff where friendly.

Chambre propre. Eau de douche coule à l'extérieur de la douche. Impossible de fermer la lumière de la salle de bain. J'oserais pas sortir seule à l'extérieur.

I am not satisfied with the room they gave me. Broken door locks, bathroom door is full of scratch, AC is full of dust, very dirty, and the bed itself makes my skin very itchy.

Oh boy.to keep it simple, it's a place to stay. We won't ever be returning. The room was damp, the floor was oh so gross.not sure how they can be renting rooms for $200 and be sold out but that just shows you that there's not much in the area. I would recommend if you want to have a nice evening maybe stay at the casino hotel.the positives - pet friendly & available parking. Sounds like a lot of people don't check the room or ratings as even we were a little surprised about this hotels condition. ALL NIGHT & heard in the morning people will be rumbling down the hallways & voices will be heard as if you were right there with them. I just wouldn't if you were on the fence about this one.

We booked a room and found a maggot laying on the comforter under the cover. They wouldn't even give us a new one so we grabbed our own it's quite a place

Pire hôtel que j'ai visité de toute ma vie. Odeur de marijuanna dans les chambres. Aucune insonorisation.
Chambre vraiment sale.
Plancher et tapis collant.
Bruit assourdisant jusqu'à 1h du matin.
Plancher de la chambre vibre quand des clients passent dans le corridor.
Je ne conseille à personne, sauf si vous êtes dans le pétrin.
