Great place for specialty Italian goods and ingredients! Wide variety of Olive oils, spreads, pastas, and more. I visited a few times to buy different spreads, oils, and turrones and am always happy with the variety and authenticity. There is also a hot table that serves prepared food, deli goods, and baked goods. They make a fantastic sauce that you can buy with your food or buy to take home (highly recommend the sauce- it was fantastic!). One of my favourite places to go when I visit Windsor.

We have just launched our small business, "MANGIA Y'ALL" and serve a majority of Italian and southern American meat dishes. I have cooked hundreds of recipes trying to perfect taste and the number 1 common factor.the best foods I make start with La Stella Meats. I use the Pork Shoulder, Pork Butt, Ground Pork, Ground Beef, and Italian Sausages! I currently am at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market every Saturday and people ask what my secret is to good food. Great deli and butcher, along with an incredible selection of pasta, cheeses, and many other delicious Italian items. Very friendly staff who treat you like family. Always a highlight to come here and support a family-run small business that is one of the absolute BEST things about Via Italia!

Our "go to" store for many grocery staples. Impressive variety of all things Italian including the best variety of pasta I have ever seen. Got fresh sliced veal scallopini from the meat counter which was amazing to cook with. The owner and staff go to great lengths to ensure you find what you need. The cannolies are fabulous! The store offers ready made meals. This local family run business is a local treasure.

Just got home from LaStella! The owner helped me out what a great experience. I will be shopping here for everything I need! To the guy who left the review about the employees yelling at each other. I'm from a Swedish family in the USA and even I know.that's just how Italians are they talk loud! If that scares you off well then you are missing out big time because this place is awesome!

Friendly helpful staff that seem like family. Great selection of deli meats and 7$ for a custom cold cut sandwich, you can't go wrong. Highly recommend.

La Stella is an amazing store and so much fun to shop. Everything is fresh, clean and the staff is delightful. The green groceries, the butcher, the breads, the prepared foods, many types of pasta, condiments, dessert, and the deli are all extraordinary. The store is nicely laid out and the service quick and attentive. Shopping here is a must, not only for Italian items, but for everything. YES!

Do not go there! Avoid. Worst customer service. They dont follow the rules. I have 14 days to return items. They did not return it. It was used only once. Sure lost me as a customer!

Best place to buy Italian foods (meats, cheese, veggies) and different pasta noodles. Very friendly place, no other grocery store quite like it. Run by a family, people help take your groceries to your car.

You will find fresh produce, grocery and all kinds of great deli & butcher options for any meal. Not to mention, for a taste of Italy, they have a wide variety of goods that are pretty tough to find sometimes.

The Hot table is also delicious and makes for a lunch that will keep you going all day.

I really like La Stella. They have a great selection of unique items, good produce, meat and fresh baked goods. If you hate waiting at the big stores for lesser quality items, this place is for you. Lots of choices for drinks, coffee, cured meats.

La Stella is an Italian grocer more involved with selling to restaurants then direct to consumer therefore, does not offer the fine calibre of Italian products that could make it a wonderful grocer. However, it is the best that downtown Windsor has to offer with Italian products.

Great selection of specialty items, cheeses and meats as well as regular grocery items. The city's best selection of premium olive oils. Lots of friendly staff always available to help. Highly recommend this store A+

Not many of these types of places left. It's a shame. This little grocery store has everything you need plus just about any specialized Italian product you could want. A whole aisle just for pasta! High quality produce. Reasonable prices too.

Extremely well-stocked all the necessary ingredients to make an Italian meal or any meal. Staff is great. My go to place. Fresh meat, butcher on site. Family owned and run.

I've gone to la stella many times over the years, but I won't ever be going back. Today while I was shopping, I counted at least 8 employees not wearing masks. They were all helping customers, checking people out and stocking shelves.maskless! THEN at the checkout, one of the main ladies who always works the cash began ranting about an earlier situation, when a customer complained about her not wearing a mask. A customer who was maskless replied 'the whole mask thing is ridiculous', to which the cashier replied 'I know, we should start coughing in delivery boxes'. The level of entitlement and ignorance I saw today was through the roof. When I told them I thought they were being out of line they laughed at me. I will be reporting this to the city. I wouldn't recommend this market to anyone.

Lost me as a customer.gotta say, I love the goods in the store but you guys clearly don't care about the health and safety of your customers. Masks are either not worn, or not worn properly at all.
I love to support small and local, but you guys are making it hard at this point. Not worth the risk, especially when it doesn't take much at all on your end to take proper precautions. You don't care about customer safety - I don't care about your survival as a business

Just ridiculous to say the least, not one employee wore a mask and I saw only one other customer with a mask. Wake up people.

I just love this neighborhood grocery store. It reminds me of back in the 80's and living in Toronto. LaStella is a friendly store and shopping as it use to be and glad it's still around.

Italian for the "The Star", this place really is one! The selection of products is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable, but what makes this market special is the people who own and run it. They are always helpful and very warm toward all the customers. Try the rapini sausage - amazing!

The best grocery store, period. Has everything we need, and is so local that it feels like visiting family every time we go shopping. Also, major points for the great selection of cheeses. Try their arancini, they're a great snack for after you're finished putting all your groceries away!
