2nd time trying this place. Salty. Every pasta dish was salty. Bruschetta was good. Won't allow you to split bills.

Aneta was our server and she made our experience so postive and went out of her way to make our evening special. Simply amazing food and decor and views of the lake and downtown.

La Vecchia offers an unparalleled Italian dining experience by the Lakeshore. The menu caters to various diets with a range from vegetarian to gluten-free options.

Despite arriving 15 minutes late for our reservation, we were promptly seated. The table was a tad long, and the low chairs posed a challenge for conversation due to ambient noise.

Our server was both efficient and delightful, remembering our requests flawlessly. We indulged in two appetizers, two pastas, and concluded with a pizza that doubled as dessert – every dish was a culinary delight. Fresh ingredients and distinct flavors left us craving more with each bite.

For an exceptional date night, La Vecchia is a must-visit!

Went here for an engagement celebration. I have numerous food allergies, and the staff was so accommodating to my needs. The food was wonderful. Lovely place for a meal or a gathering. It's right along the MGTrail, so it was very nice to be able to take a stroll after a big meal.

One of the best Italian place I’ve been to. The food was just so good *chef’s kiss* the vibes are immaculate.

This is our go to spot on Lake Ontario in Etobicoke. Right across from Albert's Bay, the safe boat haven party area.

Yesterday we were @La Vecchia with group of family members. Although my wife reserved the restaurant and I told waiters to bring me the checkout to pay, 2 very unprofessional waitresses accepted another family members payment without notifying us. Very unprofessional, much dissatisfied with the experience

Great restaurant atmosphere BUT … we had a reservation for a birthday dinner, I asked the hostess if they would be able to bring a ballon & a small box out (which I brought) when they bring the dessert/cake out for the birthday girl & she was rude & had a attitude. I then asked the server & asked for them to put the ballon & small box in the back or somewhere hidden & it was left at the front of the restaurant, (being visible) according to the other guests attending the dinner.

The food was okay, some of our food was cold which leads us to think that it has been sitting there of course.

When it was dessert time, the hostess brought out the ballon & small box. WITH NO DESSERT & THE BIRTHDAY GIRL WAS IN THE WASHROOM. The hostess then had a attitude once again when I let them know that 1. The birthday girl is still in the washroom & 2. Why is this being brought out without any dessert or cake at the same time?

The washrooms weren’t the cleanest.

Overall I wouldn’t go back which is disappointing because I had high expectations.

We are always happy to be back to La Vecchia. We've been visiting lakeshore La Vecchia since they've opened and it's always a Yes Yes place to go. You can never go wrong with this reastaurant. Everything is good, service, place, people, neighbourhood. Thanks guys! We'll be back again and again!

Please be wary of the fake 5 star reviews.we had a reservation for two on a previous tuesday evening and it was quite busy when we arrived.our server, which we don’t know the name of because he never introduced himself, was very rushed and distracted.as someone that’s been in the restaurant industry, we didn’t hold it against him as it seemed like he’s had a long shift and too many tables.as soon as we sat down, we had a server associate bring us 2 dishes that were obviously not our orders.she was setting the food down when we told her we hadn’t even ordered yet.from a food safety perspective, food that has been touched by a guest cannot be served to another table.this was a celebratory dinner, so we let many things slide.this also happened with our two appetizers when the busser went up to another couple, circled around the patio, then finally came to us.i’m very wary of our food being set and/or possible touched by other guests, especially in this new covid age.nonetheless, we really liked the eggplant and liked the bruschetta, and our entrees were enjoyable.what was not was the hair embedded into the ice cube in my partner’s drink.we brought it up to our server who was apologetic and brought us a new glass.by then, our appetite had diminished a little.when i asked our server for a water refill, he refilled my empty glass and somehow skipped over my partner’s empty glass right beside.even at the end of the night with our bill, the server admitted he was tired.again, not faulting our server at all as it seemed he tried his best with what he had.i don’t mean to make this about race, but our experience here has made this the most obvious conclusion.we saw our server laughing and joking and taking his sweet time with a table of white women.additionally some hygiene things: the first water glass i received had a laughably noticeable lip mark on the edge.the bathrooms were in squalid conditions: flies/insects buzzing around toilet, sticky floor, handles, and towel dispenser, a smell comparable to a literal outhouse.alright if this was mcdonalds of queen and spadina, not so much when we’re paying $150+ for a dinner for two.we’d recommend the good son at queen west which is a similar price point and offered a much better experience overall.i like to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt, especially in these struggling times post-covid, but i feel compelled to share my experience as a warning to future diners.

Amazing experience at this place! Not only do they serve splendid food but the atmosphere of this place is perfect! You’re enjoying good food with a nice scenery of the water nearby. Alongside with knowledgeable and friendly staff members, this is definitely a place you need to check out

I had a wonderful experience for dinner, the servers are nice and friendly while the food was AMAZING. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavour itself… so good! The atmosphere was also intimate, they changed the lighting when it got darker out and it had a relaxing, date night feels to it.

We had a nice dinner. Service was great, very kind and knowledgeable. The dishes have been tasty and portions sufficient. The outside patio is quite nice, it's just the furniture demands a full clean. Some of the chairs are sticky. As well as the toilet doors - quick deep clean will help for 5*

For movie and cinema lovers the pictures and decorations are really fun - esp Italian movies! The staff are friendly, bur nothing special in food menu- good to try it if you around there- not a place I plan to go for it

This place has been on our list for quiet sometime and we finally got to treat ourselves. Such stunning ambiance right on the Lake Ontario, the service itself was top notch. For the food we started off with Bruschettas as starter, for the mains we went with a traditional margarita pizza (wood fired) along with the chicken pasta which was filling and we ended our meal with a much needed espresso shot. Overall great experience and we would be visiting here again soon

Great food and service! Jennifer our server was attentive friendly and always smiling. Helped us with making choices from the menu. Atmosphere and decor really chic and pretty lively. You can dress up or go pretty casual. My only complaint is that the washrooms were not clean. When restaurant that busy they really do need someone to regularly attend and clean. Takes away from the beautiful restaurant that it is.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Great location across the street from the water!

Fantastic food, service and ambiance!
We celebrated a birthday on the patio on a busy Saturday and the evening was perfectly executed by staff and kitchen. Our party of nine all raved about the authentic Italian dishes served, the friendly staff and the beautiful space that makes La Vecchia so unique! Thanks for a wonderful night

Restaurant was awesome with lake view and outside dinning especially.
The staff was so good.
I really liked Tagliatelle Al Pollo paste and it is just awesome.

Loved the place.
I will come back again especially in the evenings.

Updated review: This was my first time dining in and I don’t think I would come back. We had a reservation for 8: 30 and our waiter reminded us several times that there was a seating time limit, to the point where it was annoying, not to mention the place was half empty by the time we got our food. Aranchini was okay. Pizza was also okay. The hot peppers are super spicy. The taste/quality of food just doesn’t feel like a 5 star experience for me. Overall, I feel like it’s a fancy place but the food is mediocre. I prefer Eden, just down the street. Better service and more flavourful food.

Older review: They have an outdoor grill right now and make hot sandwiches. The chicken with caramelized onions and fennel mayo was amazing. Highly recommended. The service is great and they also have gelato.

This is my family, and my favorite Italian restaurant In Canada. The food melts in your mouth, I promise you that.

Incredible date night at LA Vecchia Lakeshore. We love the menu, the food was perfectly prepared and the staff were attentive. We enjoyed a delicious private wine label which will definitely bring us back! Cheers!

It was a fantastic meal and the service was amazing. Our waiter was Dave and he was very funny, helpful and welcoming. We were delighted to spend our graduation dinner here and will be returning!

Why is it so hard to get the dish you order? Father in law orders a pizza and it’s the wrong one so he has to wait longer to eat. Then they bring out my wife’s meal. Wife tells waiter that the sauce is wrong. Waiter says no that’s what you order. The. Few minutes later the waiter comes back and says I think I brought you the wrong meal. Really why is it so hard for us to all eat at the same time time. During our meal couple managers come over and apologize. Why apologize while we are eating and let our food get even colder? At least the drinks are good.

Ordered a margarita pizza as an app. Got a bland Cheese pizza that looked like it was from the chidrens menu. Risotto was good. Eggplant parm app was small and overpriced.
But the service atrocious! Every person who brought food was extremely miserable! And the final straw was the rude face made by MICHELLE! When she saw she only received 18% tip! She did not deserve the $26 TIP!

Not bad. Excellent service with decent food. Maybe the food is a bit over priced but since they refer to themselves as fine dining I guess it’s fine.

Food excellent. Atmosphere terrible for dining. Too LOUD. Too dark. Could not have a conversation. Very uncomfortable seating. Good for a drink etc, but not for dinner with friends. Suggest they turn off the loud music. Waiters excellent.

I visited this restaurant with family and it was a great experience! The view is absolutely wonderful, the service excellent, and the food delicious! They have a great selection of wines too. The atmosphere is very chic as well. We will be coming back!

Disappointing. Heard good things but experienced the opposite. We had reservations for 9pm and we were not seated til about 9: 30pm. It was a busy saturday night but a long wait for a table that we had reservations for. A Lot of people waiting at the front of the restaurant for their tables as well.

Our server Alex was not the friendliest and seemed a little annoyed and a bit all over the place. One of our meals was the wrong order, and he made it seem like it was our fault that the order was wrong. The right order came out very quickly after that by a food runner but we were not offered fresh parm or pepper when that meal came out and our server did not come and check on us for a little while after our food came out.

Food was okay, nice size portions. Cocktails were really tasty. Love the location and ambiance was nice. I will give it another try but maybe not on a Saturday night.

I've been to this place multiple times already. This restaurant is perfect to visit for special occasions (I would recommend dine in area since they have much nicer tables and chair and the interior is so pretty). You can also go to the patio for more casual purpose. The only thing is I cannot bring my dog with me to the patio.they said I could but the space is very limited.
I think if they can improve the washroom area, it will be perfect because it was very dirty!?
Overall the food and service is great. I would highly recommend!

For the first time had a great bar service from Simon awesome person. Always on top of it. For the meal I order it was ok. Love the Glase Azul tequila. Will come back again and try other plates. I recommend a nice evening if u are near by. Great view and awesome vibe

Tldr: Decent Italian with an inviting modern atmosphere. Great food, decent service, except for a terrible miscommunication and attempt to resolve our issue.

Word of advice: bottles of water cost $7 each, and this restaurant makes no effort to distinguish this from regular tap water!

Made a first visit to La Vecchia. Great ambience, with a very clean, modern interior. We were served quickly and the menu has a great spread of appetizers, house-made pastas and pizza, pretty much on par with other Italian restaurants in the area.

We had an issue where our server failed to communicate that 'regular' still water is charged $7 per bottle. When we arrived, our server had only offered the choice of regular still or sparkling. Naturally, like all restaurants in Canada, still water or tap water is free.

We had several rounds of refills to our water over the course of our meal. The bottles appear generic and came open, so there is absolutely nothing to distinguish this water from regular tap water, as restaurants frequently do with used wine bottles.

Unfortunately, we were hit with a bill of $7 bottles of water. When we brought this to the attention of our server, he called the manager who blamed the fault to the server for not communicating this well enough. The manager was unsympathetic towards the issue and offered to take just one bottle off the bill. He admitted despite being the fault of the restaurant staff, it was our fault as the customer to pay for it even though we were misinformed. Quite the cold shoulder treatment, and said we could simply not tip to have the server 'pay' for the fault.

Overall, the food was decent, the atmosphere and location are great. It's a bit of a shame that the level of service was dismal to end our night here.

We arrived 1hr early and they accommodated us.gave us a front window table so we could literally graze on food. Was so busy. Food was delish. So awesome that we now have a great Italian restaurant in Humber shores. I only gave it 4 stars bc the service was a little slow bc there was a party of 20 that hogged our server but otherwise it was great! Love the decor and staff.so full and grateful

Called, spoke to a lady booked for brunch. Arrived at the time, they don't do brunch. Why would they say yes, and then not be open for brunch? Communicate to your staff please

Visited La Vecchia yesterday got a drinks and a bite. We had the Buffala pizza and it was delicious! Also had the tiramisu and lemon meringue cheesecake. All the plates were fresh, delicious and very generous in portion. Our waiter Aaron was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

Decor is beautiful, food is tasty although on the pricier side. I asked for basil on my pizza and they charged me $4 for a couple of basil leaves. Seems a bit excessive to me.

Had another great dining experience at LaVecchia last night. The house made pasta was outstanding! Service is attentive. This is a no rush place where you can enjoy the food and your dinner conversation!

We ordered the Penne Vodka and the Bianca fungi Pizza. The pasta tasted good (nothing special) but so small portion. The pizza without flavour, at all!: (

Great location, beautiful venue, good service, prices are fair (high, but it's a top notch experience). Food is good, but I wasn't in love. I liked everything, but nothing wowed me out of the 4 or 5 dishes I tried.

Big patio, nice inside, the service was good and the food was good too (portions are small though).

Sadly that this is the fourth Italian restaurant in the area and the menu is very very very similar to Eden and Scaddabush.

Definitely an excellent experience eating here! You feel like your in a classy italian restaurant, the ambiance is superb. The decor inside is too notch, and service is one of the best that I have seen in Toronto. Tonnes of staff and servers to ensure your looked after. It has the official seal of approval of the ospitalita italiana.

We shared a fresh pasta and a pizza, both were definitely italian quality and very delicious. Added side chicken to my gnocchi quattra formagia fresh pasta and it was superb! An extensive wine list as well, and of coarse they serve peroni!

Great large patio right on the lake as well. Overall excellent amazing experience and choice!

The expansive interior and carefully curated lighting is stunning. Combine this with their elevated authentic Italian cuisine and you have a night you won't soon forget. The new location is nestled up on the lakeshore, just north of the city. A picturesque and bustling neighborhood. Highly recommended.

I'm going to try to justify why I gave this restaurant such a low score (in my opinion). Let me start by saying that the location was the main reason for trying this restaurant. I had made a reservation for 5 people to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was very clear about my desire to sit out on the patio, weather permitting. When we got there the table had been set up inside. No biggy.we waited about 25 minutes. When we sat down they had squeezed 5 people on two small tables. Of course we asked to move. They obliged.
It's not like the restaurant was at capacity or anything. Both managers, or owners, not too sure as they did not really introduce themselves, tried to accommodate. Once we were settled in we ordered our appetizers. Mussels (very small but delicious), grilled calamari.again very small portion.but good. Two pizzas.very good. Unfortunately I found that the waitresses were not very knowledgeable when it came to description of food.as a matter of a fact I actually had to explain the dish to them. Their Italian.or lack there of.was much more irritating. If you are going to work at an Italian restaurant. Kindly learn how to pronounce menu words correctly. Unacceptable.
The main dishes were good. Portions average. Presentation very good.
We tried to order a bottle of wine.they ran out of the first desire.ordered a second one.then the waitress sent out a manager to tell us that they don't have that one either.so I just told them to bring out what they actually did have!
All in all I guess we laughed off the whole experience. I may have had high expectations of this restaurant. From the outside looks great.
I will also had that they did apologize for mixing up our order, not knowing the description of a dish, and not having the wines that are on the wine list.the bill did not reflect their mixups.

Unfortunately will not go back.

Food wasnt amazing.caesar salad very underdressed. Salads weren't impressive but the risotto was amazing. Decor was gorgeous. Restaurant is very new so management is breathing down servers necks. Made experience awkward.

I think the best part for my date and I were the tiramisu. It was so light and not too sweet. Perfect dessert.

Great quality food and nice interior. Nice staff at door. However not impressed with bartender as she used her finger to pour chocolate syrup into my espresso martini. Gross.

Lakeshore location took Open Table reservations when they weren’t open. Called the number on the reservation to confirm, which unknown to me was the other location. Disappointing. Look forward to properly reviewing when my reservation is taken.

Quality of customer service is excellent and so the food. This a very relax/european feeling restaurant. No one comes to pressure you to order, eat and then pay so they can fit more clients in. You can relax, eat chat and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Visited this location a few times. Always left with a full stomach and as happy client.

Awful, awful experience. Our entrees came before our appetizer. Calzone was warm and pitifully filled—one bite had a bad basil leaf. Risotto rice was overcooked, underseasoned, had a weird texture, and overall unpleasant to consume. “Grilled” calamari might as well have been called “boiled, ” and was not even hot.

Our server was also painfully awkward and unpleasant to us. We were not even offered pepper when our mains arrived (our neighbours, however, were), nor have had our finished bread plates taken away after he visited our table to refill our wines. We were also not offered a dessert menu after we finished our mains.

I’ll keep my assumptions to myself, but it’s shameful to know that the only saving grace of this experience was the wine. It was also shocking to see the stark contrast of quality (of service) given to other guests. We live nearby and were excited to see the opening of this location as we heard great reviews on its uptown location. Really upset to be writing this review.

Excellent food - a little pricey, but worth it. I like the vibe, you can go dressy or scruffy and still not feel out of place. I took off a star because there are very few vegan options.

The best restaurant in the Humber Bay area. Attentive service and great attention to details. The pizza was the best part of our meal.
