Had an excellent experience with Denise from La-Z-Boy Markham as we tested some options for a sofa. She really took the time to get to know us, understand our needs, offer recommendations when needed, and respect our judgment. I've had many experience with salespeople at other stores who come across as very pushy. Denise was so respectful from start to finish. Ultimately we only decided against buying the sofa we picked out because it was too big for our space, but we know we will be back when we have a bigger space to buy from her.

Denise is a very friendly lady.she shows a lot of patient and empathy on our case. I highly value her service and would highly recommend her to my friends. She is the best sales person I’ve met in Canada, as a new comer to this country, she make us feel so welcomed! Diana

Ordered and received three pieces of furniture with paid for extended warranty service. Two of the three pieces of furniture have already needed repair service. The second one took over 1 month to get a service call, and then they told me that they had to order a part for it. I was then informed that they do not stock parts in Canada and have to order them. I was given a timeline of 4-6 weeks and then I would have wait for another service call. So it looks like I am going to be living with a broken piece of furniture for months. The rep said this wasn't normal but just said, "Well there is nothing we can do here in Canada. " When I asked to talk to a manager she hung up on me. In Canada La-Z-Boy warranty is a joke. For the price you pay and the sales assurance from their team (especially at this location) shop anywhere else.

Terrible quality, terrible customer support.

Dear Sir/Madam,

With this letter I would like to thank Denise Chan for the wonderful experience I had purchasing recliner for my Mom. Denise with professional knowledge of the products your store has gave me the best advice possible. I have 86 years old Mom at home and her ability to move is very restrictive. As she has a long list of diagnoses one of the doctor's advice was to keep her legs in horizontal position. As the situation was not a standard one and I could not bring my mother in store, I am so thankful to Denise as she asked many questions to understand what will be a best choice for my Mom. When I made a choice it took just minutes to check the availability of the product and making an arrangement for the delivery. It is important to say that all the possible discounts were applied. The recliner was delivered today and my Mom really likes it!

It was such a pleasure working with Denise and get the best possible product!

I appreciate very much Denise's patience, knowledge, professionalism and kindness!

My husband and I were very impressed with our recent experience at La-Z-Boy. We were immediately greeted by a very warm and friendly sales person named Bruce who promptly showed us the options we had in mind, never pressuring us and only being helpful. He made us feel like he was our partner and was very happy when we were able to find the right chair for us, long-term. To the manager/owner of this LazBoy location,

Good day. As a potential customer, I’m writing to report a not-so-pleasant experience with this Markham location. Based on the way we were treated, I would highly recommend the Chinese lady sales with glasses (sorry I did not catch her name as she did not introduce herself nor give us a business card) to take some training on customer service. We sat on a sofa for 10 minutes and was chatting, and this lady came up to us asking if we were thinking of buying, if not, “with us sitting there, she could not take other customers”. On Saturday afternoon, there literally was no customers at all, at least not in our section within 5m around us. We were chatting just about how comfy the sofa was and that was when we were treated like this, with no further arguments, we left disappointed. I might still consider purchasing in the future but definitely not in the Markham store nor if this was the way that folks are treated. I hope you seriously consider this,

I can't say enough good things about Steve Kalli at Hwy 7 and Woodbine. I bypassed other LBoy stores as I'd heard how great he was. He is one of the most helpful, knowledgeable and empathetic sales persons I've come across; and I'm an older senior, so I've come across many. Despite a busy day, his attention was solely on me, as I needed a new chair following surgery. My recommendation is, go to Steve and you won't regret it! (p.s. I chose the Rowan for comfort)

We love our new furniture, SO comfortable. The chair that we needed to special order was delivered about 7 weeks before the originally scheduled date. Very happy.

I places my order and paid the deposit, which the latest delivery date was Dec. 16. However, my sales person, Harish told me the vessel delayed to Jan. 13th. I have done the import and export over 10 years, and have never seen a vessel delays in one month. When I placed my order, their system shows my order was on Dec. 16’s vessel. The second vessel is on Jan. 13. Obviously he or someone else sold my order to other. This store cheated me. Do not trust them and give them an order.

I wanted to share my experience with the La-z-Boy store in Markham. We went in looking for a recliner, and were approached by Steve Kalli, one of the sales people on the floor. We took an extremely long time to make our decision. We placed our order and then changed our minds about 10 days after putting a down payment down. We called Steve to talk about making a change. Steve was very acommodating, and patient as he worked with us to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend this store, and especially working with Steve, he was very knowledgeable, professional, patient and did not hard sell, a real pleasure to deal with.

In September 2021 I purchased a beautiful table and now I wanted benches to fit underneath because my family has grown!

I emailed Steve at the La Z Boy Markham location and he responded almost immediately! He contacted the manufacturer and ensured that they were able to make the benches just as I imagined them to be! I got the Black Friday deal which is a bonus!

Steve works so hard - 7 days a week and I am glad I could count on him for all of my furniture needs. What I am most impressed about is his customer service and how far he will go to help someone out! He also knows so much about the furniture at La Z Boy. It’s impressive really.

If you ever need any furniture advice or help, I would call Steve!

La Z Boy has great furniture selection! In September 2021, I was humming and hawing over a great Birch table at La Z Boy. I just wasn’t sure if it would fit in my space. I met the La Z Boy staff, Steve Kalli, who took the time to explain everything to me. He responded quickly to my calls and my emails.

Steve Kalli gave me with all the information regarding the table and the other furniture I was interested in buying and helped me to make an informed decision. I ended up buying the table and the transaction was done really quickly!

If you ever walk into the Markham La Z Boy location, I suggest you talk to Steve. He wont disappoint you - I promise!

I visited the store and was immediately greeted by Steve Kalli.
He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He helped us with our news and provided different options and recommendations.
Even after the purchase, Steve kept following up to make sure we are happy with our purchase.
He is always responsive and goes above and beyond to keep the customer happy.
The Markham store is worth the trip just to deal with Steve!

Was looking forward to buying from here as I was in need of a new recliner but my experience, specific to my situation was definitely not pleasant and left me questioning whether I will be returning. We had bought a table that was manufactured by a 3rd party and when the product was discovered to be damaged prior to delivery we were left bag holding and had to argue with management for a full refund, which we eventually got after a heated debate.

Whether we are in the right or wrong, it was a distasteful experience as a client. Instead of taking care of us, we were left to feel as though we were begging for our money back and backed into the corner where the only other option was to get another identical table or apply the balance owing to another item, which our original intention was to buy a recliner by La-Z-Boy. However, the situation was handled in a manner that, instead of retaining a potential client it went to alienating us and parting ways with everyone unhappy. The language and canto-slang used over phone conversations had us taken back. It's not now sales people should be talking to customers.

I just got my living room furniture delivered yesterday and it looks amazing. Steve and Lexie from the Markham store helped us choose it and we couldn't be happier. From the coffee table to the sofas and the rug everything matches harmoniously. Delivery service was very professional too.

Went in to buy a sofa set for my living room and was helped by Angela. She was tremendous and very nice. She went out of her way to give us the best possible deal. When I offered to pay with cash, she knocked 40% off the listed price, which amounted to a saving of thousands of dollars!
Highly recommended. Go see Angela, and she will always give you the best price!

Went to La-Z Boy to pick up some furnitures one weekend and was greeted by Steve. He was an absolute joy to work with helping and accommodating us every step of the way. Because of him we went back the next weekend to pick up more furniture and he recognized us from all the way across the store. Do yourself a favour and ask for Steve if you ever go to the La-Z Boy on Highway 7.

I went to La-Z-Boy on the weekend to shop for new furniture because I just moved into a new place recently. That was where I met Steve and I highhllyyy recommend him. He was extremely helpful, understanding, and was always there if I needed help. He's a great role model for what I look for in a salesperson, someone's who is there for you but not pushy or intruding, esp.when deciding what to buy. I went back again just last week to buy more furniture because of his excellent customer services. I will definitely be recommending Steve to my friends when they're shopping for furniture.

We didn’t end up buying anything, but this was the second store we visited in our 4-month-long search for a new sectional/couch. My fiancé has a back condition & the size of our condo is a challenge, but David was very, very helpful in explaining our options and what La-Z Boy could offer as a solution. Obviously they have a great selection of quality furniture. They just didn’t have the right one for us. Regardless, David gave us some great information to takeaway & helped us narrow down on what we would need to look for.

The salesperson had very little knowledge of anything, she spoke very poor English and kept pushing me to buy discontinued models. Most of the models on the floor had power recline and nobody told me they were available in manual and according to them only the floor models were available.

After 2 visits I was about to give up on La Z Boy but I decided to call the Vaughan Mills location. They had exactly the chair I wanted (new - not floor model) and I promptly purchased it. They also explained the differences and many features that the Markham store didn't mention.

I dealt with Steve Kalli, a very knowledgeable sales person, who was able to direct me to what I believe was an excellent purchase of a quality piece of furniture. He listened to what I was looking for, and provided me with the most suitable options by taking his time and explaining everything. The process was very much appreciated.

The service with the salesman David Ross was exceptional. The only 'problem' we encountered was with delivery. We were told between 9-12 which was great, but a phone call at 8 a.m. Saying there were coming in 10 minutes was not 'great'. We were still in bed, had not moved the old chair, we felt rushed. The set up was fine with the delivery men.
