The buying experience was fine but the delivery of sofas was ridiculous. The sofas were not covered with any protection and it was raining that day. There was other furniture piled on our sofas in the truck and there was one foot torn off. The delivery guys were really rough handelling them. The sofas were supposed to be new not floor models but there was no protection on them so I wonder if they were really new. Now it's six months later and the sofas have lost alot of support in the spring and cushions. Customer service has been contacted and they are trying to remedy the issue so we will see what happens next. So to update on the sofas, they sent over new foam for the cushions which helped a bit for about a month but nothing was done to help the lack of spring support so basically same as before. Absolutely garbage sofas, do not purchase anything from this retailer. Zero stars and do not recommend.

Sooo disappointed in Lazyboy. We have a 20plus year old recliner that is still like new. On that experience we bought 2 more new recliners. From the delayed delivery through the issue around getting the bases replaced with what we actually order. The worst though is that both of them squeak when you sit in them. This has been an issue since we took receipt of them. Service has been out twice but claim they are fixed but the problem has never been corrected. No help from the service department even if you can get ahold of them on the phone. This used to be a great company but not anymore. We are so disappointed with our purchase, issues happen but it is how they are dealt with that says what a company is worth. Sorry to say, Lazy boy to date has failed us.

Lazboy Review of Oakville store
We were looking for family room and living room furniture and wanted a better quality than most retail stores, so we looked into Lazboy and were happy with their selection.
We bought our furniture (2 couches, 2 end tables, a coffee table, plus two recliner chairs) last April and were told our products would be delivered in September. This was not a problem as we were told of the delay and accepted these conditions. The experience at the store was very good, our salesperson was very accommodating and helped us with our purchase.
When we received the couches in September, there were numerous stains on them which contradicted the attached pre-delivery inspection checklist stating they were free from visible damage or defect. What we later learned is that Lazboy receives their furniture wrapped, unwraps it for inspection and then sends it to the customer without wrapping them again. So, your couches get delivered to you with stains and need to be cleaned. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for a new product only to have to get the dirt, oil, ink, marker and blood (yes, that is what the cleaner told us he found) scheduled to be cleaned.
Getting past that, we still had to wait for the recliner chairs. One was received in perfect condition, the other one was delivered with a large gouge through the wooden leg. We immediately contacted the Customer Care department. Lazboy said they do not replace the furniture by their policy and send repair technicians to site to repair vs replacing the damaged goods that were delivered. After waiting for 8 weeks, (the first replacement was totally off in colour so both sides of the chair would look different and waiting for another replacement leg to come in) when the technician did in fact come into fix it, the material on the side of the chair had a “wave” in the material to it due to the poor repair. We paid $1300 plus tax on a chair that came damaged, got repaired and left us unhappy with the outcome because of a Lazboy policy.
The customer service at Lazboy is a joke. There were a lot off “sorry” emails, explanations how tailoring variances occur and were offered $150 for our inconvenience which is a slap in the face considering the time spent to be home for all these repairs, phone calls and the emails going back and forth.
Lessons learned:
• Lazboy will not replace a product if you receive it damaged. It is their policy to fix it and they will tell you it is acceptable and in accordance with their standards. Good luck if you do not find it to your standards.
• Any furniture moved into your home is not wrapped. Pray you do not have a rainstorm happening when you have a delivery scheduled.
• Expect your furniture to need a cleaning after receiving it.

The store is warm and comforting, everything that the brand stands for in my opinion. The staff are knowledgeable and not pushy, which I like. I like to shop on my own for a bit, and then when I’m ready ask questions. If you hav ever owned a lazy-boy, then you already know their quality is top notch. What has happened over the years is that their styling has caught up as well! They offer sectionals, stands sofas, and yes the old style grandpa lounger as well! Greg my sales rep was helpful and extremely knowledgeable about seating in general. I had emailed the store a couple days prior our visit with our layout and booked a meeting with Pam from their design studio. After trying out the options, we met with Pam from their design services - which are complimentary, Pam does a fantastic job creating a rendering of the sofa options in your room. This really helps you understand what the sofa of your choice will look like in your space. Afterwards you can select from their hundreds of fabrics and truly customize your furniture. Finally, Greg came up with our estimate and without me asking already discounted the options we selected. I haggled a little more and left with confidence knowing that shopping around at places like restoration hardware, or even ethan allen, will still bring us back to close the deal at lazy-boy! The icing on the cake is their 7 year warranty- nothing like it and as a previous owner of lazy-boy furniture.truly worth it and a game changer!

We purchased a Miracle Platinum Lift Chair for our father who lives in a tiny suite in a retirement home. Unfortunately the chair failed within the first month. With it stuck in the eject position, dad had nowhere to sit. Dad had to lay in bed!
A repair person couldn't come for a few days then it was diagnosed with a failed motor. We had to move the chair to our house. It took 2 more service calls to get it repaired - it also needed a new control. A month elapsed.
After this experience, it was clear to us that Lazyboy were not able to support the needs of a handicapped person, so we tried to return the chair. The policy is return within 2 days for a full refund - 50% refund after 2 days or more. Even the regional manager would not budge on this policy.
Although sales, customer support and service staff were great, the product quality and service and return policies left us with a frustrating experience with Lazyboy.

Customer service is such a disappointment. The lack of communication (amongst the staff and with the customer) after the sale is awful, like they don't even care. They spend more $$$ hiring people to hold promotion signs on the street, than taking care of their customers.

Along with Audra who was mercifully aranging partial delivery of our order.

The telephone systems programming is set for irritating agrevating loop going nowhere.

After nine month wait we can't wait to revieve our first chair tomorrow between 12: 00noon and 3: 00pm.

I’m writing this on behalf of my mom who is a senior. While our experiences started out well in store with a designer who was helping us, as soon as a sales person got involved, things have gotten progressively worse. And she hasn’t even received her order yet….

Many mistakes were made while we were in store. Starting with a quote that had to be revised over and over again as the sales person kept forgetting to include all the details of the order. These mistakes were repeated at the cash when my mother went to give her deposit. It was a long, painful sales experience, echoed by the frustration of the woman at the cash who had to fix all of the sales persons multiple mistakes.

When we left, my mother and I joked that at least no other mistakes can be made now that the order is with the manufacturer.

We were wrong!

My mother received a call by the salesperson on the weekend explaining that she has been undercharged by $200 and that the manufacturer wouldn’t start making her furniture until she paid up. My poor mom didn’t know that this is illegal and that if Lazy Boy advertises a certain price and you enter into a purchase agreement with them, they are accountable for their mistake, not her.

We will be escalating this issue further, however, in the meantime we feel it’s important to leave a review (without mentioning the name of those at lazy boy who are involved) so others are aware.

Huge disappointed by La-Z-Boy and its customer service, we spent thousands of dollars for a brand new recliner, and even purchased the extended warranty, but the recliner they delivered to us is with multiple green color glued stains on the fabrics.

We contacted the customer service, the representative Nav said since glue stain is not deemed as defect, they usually only send a cleaning crew to clean the fabrics but they agreed to exchange a new unit for us as a "Courtesy" for us. Well, thank you so much for such courtesy, they exchanged twice, and the two units they brought to us are both with green glue stains on the fabrics!

Even the delivery team knew that there is no way that the customer will accept such defected product, and the delivery team took pictures of the stains and uploaded to their internal system. But when we contacted Nav again, she denied received pictures from the delivery team and said the new unit is good and clean, then why am I calling you again if we exchanged a clean unit? If the recliner fabrics are white color, would you consider the glue stains as defect or not? Would you suggest again to send cleaning team, or even suggested us to do the cleaning by ourselves to fix this problem? Now we are waiting for their callback to solve this problem, which seems unsolvable to this company as all of their recliners are with glue stains.

Beware of this company, DO NOT buy anything from them, as you won't get what you paid for, even worse, their customer service will make you feel you are making things up and creating troubles, and they will request you to clean their mess by yourselves!

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

Edit: added the pictures of the stains. Not very easy to spot them during the first sight, or we will reject the delivery on the first time.

Some nice selection of furniture (from couches to fridges, from patio furniture to arcade games) and, at the time, a nice selection of sales available. The store was clean to the naked eye, but I imagine it would be difficult to clean all the furniture after one customer sits on a couch. I know most people would prefer to browse in peace, but I would have liked to be acknowledged at some point during my visit beside the staff member greeting us at the front to see if I needed help with anything, or help guide my purchase. Did not end up buying anything, but overall, not a bad experience.

I have never been so disappointed in a product before. I have never written an online review before but I feel compelled to share so that others don't have the same experience that I did. We went La-Z-Boy and received great service from their sales staff. We were looking for leather furniture but after much conversation with their staff, we were convinced we could buy fabric and have no worries about wear & tear even though we have kids and a dog. They assured us that if we buy the extra 7 year warranty, everything will be covered and the fabric will not stain. We paid close to $10,000 on a couch and 2 chairs just over 2 year ago. I noticed there is a tear in the fabric on the one chair - a high-end fabric that cost more for the chair. I submitted the picture to the warranty company and they indicate they do not cover tears or rips in the fabric. I contacted La-Z-Boy and they indicate there isn't anything they can do because it is past the one-year manufacturer warranty. The guy was trying to be helpful so he pursued it more. Finally after weeks of back & forth, they came back that they would install a new seat on the chair (for no charge) but we need to buy the new seat. So labour to install it would be covered. I am so upset that I believed them when they assured us that the warranty would cover all issues with the mechanics (recliner) and the fabric. It was VERY expensive and we have a tear on the inside of one of the cushions (between the seat and the arm). It isn't noticeable yet, but it will be and is a sign of what is to come with this fabric. DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO buying their warranty - and for the price of their furniture it should last longer than 2 years. I should have listened to my friend who had an issue with her sofa from there. She complained about the fabric within months of buying it and was told that she just needed to use a sweater shaver and there was nothing that would be done about all the pilling. Not worth the price or headaches.

Spent 3500 on leather greyson power rocker w lumbar and swivel. The sales lady ignored all of my requests. For example i said i had 44 inches to work with- she then takes me over to 56 inch wide chairs, i said i needed something firm that doesn't wobble, as im replacing a dx racer gaming chair. Now they had their rockers on the wall so i didnt notice the wobbling. Anyways they did a terrible job making sure i got the right chair for me. I actually thought i had purchased the maverick until the greyson arrived. Anyways i gave the chair to my parents they have more room for it. What i should have been guided to by the sales lady was a maverick standard wall saver
recliner. But hey u live and learn. The electric chairs are wobbly by2.5 inches standard. The neck and lumbar support for an extra 1800 is a gimmick its uncomfortable. And the rocker recliner slides all over the place even w rubber felt pads and destroyed my wall because of sliding. More expensive does not always equal higher quality is what i learned the hard way. The online customer service is quite rude too. They adopt a take it or take it mentality make sure what u buy is what you really want because dealing with them is a nightmare

Moving to home and went to check out La-Z-Boy chairs. We walked in and were greeted by Erik. He listened to our wants and began helping find the right chairs for us! This is not your average sales kick. Erik really wanted to make sure we walked out happy. We both chose a chair that fit our individual size and preference and cannot wait to sit in them. Thank you Erik for the attention and for caring about us!

Our recent experience at La-Z-Boy Furniture was very nice. Our sales person Frances was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She asked us some questions and then had ideas about what we were looking for and lead us to some examples which was very helpful. She was not pushy at all. We found her to be very nice and very helpful. She knows the product that is for sure! She answered all our questions and made us feel very comfortable. We have already told friends who may be looking for furniture to look at La-Z-Boy and ask for Frances! We will be back to purchase at least one more item from Frances.

Bought two recliners from La-Z-boy regretted my decision as the quality is deteriorated. After only 2 months all kind of creaking noise coming. Called Technical support and guy showed up after several calls and what he said its NORMAL. Told to contact Manager of store where you bought, Contacted Mississauga store who said Sorry we cannot do much. We already bought Extended warranty but no respite, please dont waste on LazyBoy its no more same quality as they used to had.

Spent $3000 on a sofa with extended warranty. After 2 years the sofa has worn down and is uncomfortable to sit on.

I was given a $250 store credit because the warranty paid $280 for was useless.

Don’t buy anything here. They’re not as good as they used to be.

We had a really good experience dealing with Daniel. Daniel was very helpful and extremely courteous. He also had very good mannerisms. Definitely ask for Daniel the next time you are at the store as he was very pleasant to deal with and helped us get a really good deal on the furniture.

Dianne was very helpful and patient with us as we took our time to look around and in answering our questions. When given the layout of the rooms, Dianne helped point out furniture that would work with the rooms and in our own seperate style. The help was greatly appreciated.

Extremely helpful sales staff in picking our chair style and fabric. Our delivery was actually sooner that expected and delivery personel were polite and careful when carrying in and placing the chair we ordered. All in all a very positive experience and I wouldn't hesitate to shop La-Z-Boy again.

Be careful of this company

We had very bad experience with them. They delivered the donning table with wrong color and refused to change it to the one we asked.

Also, we bought warranty on it, but when we called to use it, they said send email with pictures. We did, a day later they send an email back saying that they refuse to accept our claim and closed the case. Tried to call them, but they lady was very rude and acted like it is not her business and there was no one to help and manager too busy to answer my phone.

They should be awarded worst service ever.

Lazy boy is a pleasant place to visit, lost of great, fashionable and best quality furniture. Staff is great, they don't put any pressure on you at all and they are always there to help, it is just always on the expensive side.

The best store I've dealt with in a long time. La-Z-Boy prioritizes the customer interest/goals above anything else! And the relationship doesn't stop there. Follow-up during and after the delivery service.what you end up receiving exactly matches what you saw in the store or on the website.
