EDIT: I’m updating my review from a (2) to a 3.5), as following my initial review I received a call from Lazeboy management who had seen my review and wanted to help alleviate some of the struggles we’ve had with our purchase thus far.

We had issues with getting ahold of our salesman, and overall just a lack of information about what was going on with our delivery. We were originally quoted 8 weeks for delivery, which then turned to 10 weeks with a delivery date another 2 weeks out (for 12 weeks total).

The manager I spoke to was very helpful and seemed to want to fix these issues. She is helping to advance our delivery date to the next available opportunity (hopefully next week) as opposed to the first week of April, and has given us a free delivery as well for our troubles. It is nice to know that Lazeboy cares about their customers experiences at their stores, and so I’m happy to modify my review to reflect that.

Not sure of the employees name but there was a gentleman in the warehouse that was absolutely incredible to my grandmother. She wanted to see her chair before we brought it him. He set it all up helped her up the stairs with me as she’s in her 80s. Was the best service I had anywhere. Long black hair with a beard. Whoever he was he is the reason I’ll be back. I have been buying there for ever because I love the way they take care of there customers. They are friendly, easy to talk to and solves problems… i highly recommended them after buying 3 lazy boy and dining room set

Do not ever shop there if you want good quality and good customer service… i ordered 15,000$ worth of furniture and the service has just been terrible. Causing constant stress… and phone calls to no use. We waited 5 months for only half the order to come through… and both recliner couches broke within the first month… that has to be UNACCEPTABLE. When you ask for compensation or simply to just return the furniture as I am done i do not want it anymore… they threaten you with a penalty fee? Absurd.

Simply do not shop there.

I’m writing my review here, because La-Z-Boy has decided not to publish my review on their website – I guess they only publish 5-star reviews. We bought the Clover Premier Swivel Occasional Chair in the Mist colour on March 15,2022 (with the 5-year protection plan) and it arrived September 24,2022. My husband and I immediately smelled a very strong chemical odour, which we hoped would go away on its own. After 1 month, we still can’t sit in our living room without smelling this horrible stench. As other reviewers have mentioned, it has been impossible to reach someone at La-Z-Boy to deal with this situation. Definitely not the service or quality we are used to as long-time customers.

Excellent service. Let us look around without the pressure of making a purchase. Wrote down dimensions of the couches we were interested in so we could check measurements at home. Went back a few days later to make the purchase. No issues. Will shop there again.

Kanata Location did not honor price match in add claiming that Sale price applied to Rocker rather than Recliner (as clearly stated in add)
After the claim was reviewed by La-Z-Boy management, it was concluded that it was valid and a refund was issued.
I'm glad that La-Z-Boy honored the price match and showed that they care about their customers.
La-Z-Boy remains top of my list for buying well made and comfortable furniture

Very happy with the furniture that our salesperson and designer helped us select. Don't buy extended warranties on product, as trying to get someone to come to service it is proving to be a challenge. Since July, an 2 emails, 2 calls and one in-person visit has led to zero contact from the service department. I guess they are too busy with their renovation sale to deal with service calls.

We ordered a full set in October and received the couch November, being told that it would be February for the loveseat and chair recliner. Next, we were told May. Called again, and no answer on an ETA. Long story short - don't order unless they actually have it as they actually don't know when their stock is coming in. VERY disappointed for the price we paid and to have gone this long without our set. Poor communications, as we would expect to be told if there are delays.

July update: We now have the loveseat, and the chair is on its way (mid-July?). The couch recliner is seizing on the right side, and a support bar fell off the left recliner of the couch. Seriously disappointed in the quality.

Nancy and Magaly provided an invaluable service. With the help of pictures, Nancy solved a furniture placement problem we've struggled with for years.

With that solution, Magaly was able to help us create an entirely new feel for our living room that that still feels true to our aesthetic.

We'll definitely draw on their expertise again for accessories and complementary pieces.

They're about to renovate. They have the old activation buttons for the doors and they don't work at all. Pressing the buttons hurt because they aren't sensitive at all. The store has enough room for people with mobility aids to pass around but not everywhere. Some spaces with couches around is to small to have a wheelchair turn around. Yall are on the right track to make it fully accessible! I hope the renovation will also be changing those door buttons!

Purchased a couch and recliner in early February for end of March delivery. The couch is great; very comfortable and pleased with the purchase. That said, the recliner leans forward and is not usable. We noticed it immediately after they delivered (first time we sat on it, minutes later). A few days later, we went back to La-Z-Boy to explain the situation and they said it would take 18 BUSINESS days for the service appointment. A month later, the technician came and said it was a spring issue, but that he's have to come back for ANOTHER service appointment. After no news for 2 weeks, I called them and they scheduled the service appointment, which I had to cancel a few days before (that was on me, but they should have been able to reschedule it right away not "call me back"). Since then, I've called every couple of days, left several messages, when the phone was answered they took my name and number but I still haven't heard back. It's been over 2 months and I still don't have a functional recliner. La-Z-Boy has quality products, but if you have any issues the service is terrible (something to keep in mind).

2.5/5 mixed experience:

1. Purchased the Pinnacle power recliner with lumbar and neck adjustability many years ago and have been very happy with the product. The foam has stood up and the leather is just as soft and same color as when we bought it.

Salesperson wasn’t the greatest as when I explained to him that because I was in a car accident that I needed the foam to last and that it was the most important part of the chair for my health, he flippantly remarked while walking away that 300lb people have owned lazy boys for 30 years and been very happy with them so I can take it or leave it.

2. A few years later we purchased the same exact model for my wife and the chair has been terrible. We notified the store next day after delivery that the leather seamed off and was crumpled in one area and they said it’s random and they won’t replace. A year after and the leather became dry and discoloured and foam is compressed and useless. Tried for 2 years over pandemic to get the issue resolved and they did come to put a bit of foam in the neck portion and a piece above the springs on the seat to try to add support, even though the extended warranty technically didn’t cover that; they also came a couple times to look at it and were very nice on the phone to try to resolve the issue. But in the end the issue persists and they claimed they could not tell the color and softness of the leather was different and made excuses that they don’t guarantee foam. Everyone who comes into our house notices the color change and thinks it isn’t even leather. We just want the same quality of chair as the other older one right beside it…

The salesperson for this purchase and the manager were very nice.

Here’s the thing, the company needs to either stick to their reputation and quality claims, especially if they use it as a sales tactic, and admit when they’ve delivered a lemon, or stop leaning on the supposed quality of their products so much and then sure refuse to actually fix the item. Cant charge $3000 for a chair that you brag about the quality and then refuse to stand by it. And although it’s nice to send techs to look at the chair and have manager talk to you on the phone, all of that just wastes time if it doesn’t fix the problem for the customer. We were very nice throughout the entire process but at this point we just have to fix it ourselves and won’t be shopping here again: (

No pressure sales people, however extremely knowledgeable about all the items on the floor when asked.explaining in detail how the product of interested was constructed. Although we purchased an extended warranty, we felt no pressure to do so, sales person just explained in detail, what it covered and left it up to me

Dealing with the sales people are interesting a lot like car salesman listen to what you want and then try to upsell you as best as possible…

The only part I’m disappointed with is the fact I have to wait three months for my chair to arrive because of shortages in shipping

I was certain I'd be walking in and walking out, la-z-boys are too expensive I always thought. After talking to their super knowledgeable sales staff and her showing us the real durability of a la-z-boy couch, I was hooked. Not only that, we were able to customize our pieces at no extra cost! If I need another couch in the near future I will definitely be going back and I've already told so many people that the price is definitely worth it.

Customer service was good. But there was a huge misunderstanding about the 299.00 you charged me for a warranty that was not fully explained and covered. On the fine print for warranty you cover next to nothing. Had to fight to get warranty price removed.

We were aloud to come in the store with our small dog so that was a bonus for us.
We waited like 5 seconds and we already had sale rep offering his service to help us.
We looked around, saw a few recliners we liked and asked our Rep a few questions that he answered without hesitation and he then went and checked to see if both recliners were in stock and available for delivery.
Finally we signed the bill, paid for our purchase and are anxious to get them delivered next week.
This is what i call good service and a good price anda great store.

Fantastic experience at La-Z-Boy. As soon as we walked in the store, we saw and decided on what we wanted. Storm greeted us with a cheerful hello and we proceeded to her order desk for completion of order. Once there, we noticed the area rug (bought as well) on display which would go beautifully with the chairs we were purchasing and the color scheme at our house. Warranty, maintenance, protection, delivery were all explained and Storm answered all the questions we asked and didn't ask. Storm Shields made our day and La-Z-Boy provided the furniture we needed. Thank you.

What a great experience we had going to La-Z-boy. It was our first stop of the day and right away we had the best experience with Marianne. She made us feel so comfortable and took the time to show us exactly what we were looking for. We decided to leave and look at other sofa stores, but nothing compared to the comfort of La-Z-Boy and no one was like Marianne!

Good customer service experience, had what I was looking for, pricing was right, able to deliver within a reasonable timeframe. Delivery itself was fast and convenient but the delivery team, though taking proper COVID-19 precautions, did not follow my delivery instructions (deliver to garage as per the wording on the invoice - not communicated to the delivery team, apparently). First - they had the chair in the front door of the house before I could ask them to leave it outside and that I would take it from there (due to family member in house with serious medical issues not wishing to be exposed to anyone - for any possible infection - not just COVID). Could have taken two seconds to ask: "OK to go in"? Second - when the truck arrived, the chair was unpacked, ready to be hand bombed into the house. While efficient, I had immediate concerns about the state of the furniture coming off the truck - e.g. Had the chair come from the warehouse unboxed like that? How long had it been unpacked like that and how much had it been moved around during the delivery run? First experience having household goods delivered unboxed like that both as a customer and as a shipper/driver in the past. Very unusual practice to not let the customer see the unboxing. Had to spend extra time going over the chair for any damage/distress. Again, take the two seconds to let the customer see the goods come from the box. Fortunately no apparent issues with the cleanliness/state of the chair when I got it positioned where I wanted it. We'll see about any infection for my family member with serious medical issues.

Getting service help is frustrating as you have to deal with the salesman first who doesn't follow through for customer satisfaction. My 2 month old lazy boy rocker recliner needs repair for lumbar support or replacement (the foam has suddenly flattened out and is now uncomfortable to use). This is very unexpected and disturbing to me as I have owned several of these chairs over the years with no problems.
I have sent several emails back and forth but there is still no technician in sight and phoning is not any better. Today the store told me I would hear from Service in 3-5 work days (really)!
I will not be buying anything from them again because of their poor customer service and hope this problem gets fixed soon.
I spent just under $2000 for chair to end up with this dissatisfying outcome.

I went shopping for a La-Z-Boy recliner for my nephew Jake, someone with special needs, including when it comes to seating. Accompanied by my two adult daughters, we worked with Ghada Shaheen who was both patient and knowledgeable about the products. It tells you about the kind of service you get when you're inspired to send the salesperson a picture of your nephew in his new chair to let her know what a difference she had made. He was smiling like he hadn't smiled in some time. Thank you.

Large facility and easy to remain physically distant. They have directional arrows between couches and chairs and stickers reminding everyone to remain two meters apart. Staff were all wearing masks, disinfectant station at the front door.

We have recently completed the purchase and delivery of our new La-Z-Boy Furniture for 2 rooms in our home from the Cyrville location. The dedicated staff was extremely courteous and professional. Our Design Consultant Cliff and the In-Home Designer Magaly, were extremely helpful and made the purchase and design choices extremely easy for us. Dan the Store Manager, made the final payments and delivery scheduling very easy. The delivery personnel Corey and Jason exhibited the utmost in professionalism and provided that attention to detail that was second to none. We are extremely satisfied with our experience at La-Z-Boy and our new furnishings. We would definitely recommend the Cyrville location and we will definitely be returning for future purchases. Well done everyone!

In store experience very good. Shopped around and soon negotiated a fantastic deal on a glider for our newborn daughter. Due to the pandemic, there are major delays, and store manager Ron fixed us up with a rocker on loan until our piece is ready. Fantastic customer service like I've never received. Thank you so much! Looking forward to our new glider as we're enjoying our current rocker.

Mega Sale is on. Made a great purchase at the Cyrville Road store, a sleeper chair, perfect size for a small bedrooom now being used as a home office. Very friendly staff. Service was very good. Teba was a great help. Social distancing and safety practices are in place. Delivery arrangements have been scheduled. Looking forward to my new purchase.

My name is Damien Ouellet (I am using my son's e-mail) My wife, Lise, and I were at the store on Cyrville Rd.in Ottawa this afternoon looking at what was available in the store for a sofa and rocker recliner. We were simply there looking around when salesman Greg Tomlinson came to us and asked if we were ever in this store before, and when we answered in the negative, he explained the layout of the store. After asking what we were looking for, which was sofa and recliner chair, Greg was very helpful in explaining how to choose the right one for both of us. When we left the store, after about one hour, we had put aside what we may purchase if after measuring it fits at our home. Overall Greg went over the top to help us in any way without being pushy and making us uncomfortable. All salesmen should be like him. In all our experience at La-Z-Boy was very good.

This was our first and will be our last experience with La-Z-Boy. We have NEVER been this frustrated with customer service. We were promised a 5-6 week delivery, we are now on week 10 of waiting. No one has had the courtesy to call us to offer solutions. We have been checking in weekly for updates that end up being vague at best to then find out that they only deliver to our area (which is only a 30 minute drive) on fridays. To then find out the next few fridays are already accounted for. Frustrating call after frustrating call. They always say they are leaving a message for the delivery team to see and that they would call us back. This has not yet happened, not even once. Keeping this review short but please save yourself the headache and purchase elsewhere. I hope that after all of this that our 5000$ couch does not disapoint.

We purchased a red leather electric reclining sofa and 2 matching chairs in January 2016, along with the Extended Warranty. We were advised that the extended warranty would be very valuable if the leather were to get any fabric transfer, ink or other on it, as they would send a technician to try to remove and if it doesn't come out they would replace it.

Within 2.5 years, the leather has turned purple on the seat/leg rest where denim has come in contact with it but according to La-Z-Boy customer service, denim will not stain leather?

La-Z-boy sent a technician over to "assess the situation" (after several calls and even a visit to the store). He tried to remove the "blue staining" and was successful to remove some, but not all; told us it is denim transfer and it is a manufacture defect. When the "customer support" called to give us their tech's report, they said the tech told them NOTHING was wrong with it and it's not covered that the leather is supposed to be purple in places? See photo AFTER it has been cleaned

In 3.5 years, since we purchased this new, we have already had to replace the seat foam on both sides (at our own expense as this is not under warranty). This is with regular use, and average weighted people.

Bottom Line: Shop around - and if you do go with La-Z-Boy, DO NOT waste your money on La-Z-Boy's extended warranty. It's not worth the paper it's written on!
