We recently purchased living room, kitchen and TV room furniture. We received amazing service from our sales associate Jennifer Perry. Our delivery was on time and the guys were friendly and very respectful while setting everything up in our home. Highly recommend LayZboy. We have purchased in the past as well and their warranty is outstanding.

Good experience buying furniture with Chris Day. He allowed me to look at the furniture first, then made helpful comments to narrow down my choices. Chris provided options for clearance pieces, finding out if other stores had the ones I wanted. His price estimate was very close to the actual amount.

Love our new furniture. Jennifer was our salesperson; she was very knowledgeable about the products, and we valued her opinions. She was patient with us as we visited the store several times to look at various styles in sofas, as well as assisting us right at the end. We just received our new La-Z-Boy recliner and love it. Expensive, yes but you can see the quality. The reason we went La-Z-Boy was because we went with someone else earlier in the year (Way****. Cough.cough.grunt, sniff.) and the chair didn't last 9 months. You get what you pay for. We dealt with a gentleman named Leonard Del Duca. An absolute pleasure to work with and the patience of a saint because to be honest, the last person I ever want to deal with is ME. He was patient, thorough, answered whenever I called or emailed and constantly followed up with updates. Extremely professional and truly cared that we had a good experience. If you go into the La-Z-Boy in Barrie, ask for Leo. Tell him Ari sent you. Cheers!

Jennifer Perry was extremely helpful, as was the design team as well. It’s nice to not feel pressured by sales people. Wonderful experience would definitely recommend!

Recently purchased 2-Sofas and 1-Chair June 2023 approx costs $10K. Both sale's Rita and Jennifer were excellent. The 2 sofas were delivered however one was dirt and the other had a small rip in the fabric and chips out of the wood leg. When the guys were off-loading the truck I noticed nothing was wrapped or tied down so the product was just left haphazardly to move around. Customer service lacks some empathy when complaining. They recommended a parts replacement that will take 6-8 weeks. Had they taken some care in packaging the goods for transport we wouldn't be in this situation. Disappointed! - and will update this review to see how timely and what care they put in to remedy the problems.

Bought a couche last March 2022. After 2 months use.material is pilling! Called Lazy and customer service in Barrie, told me to buy a "pilling brush". This is due to poor quality fabric. Which Lazy feels substantial is fine to use, and I should have known better. This coming from TO head office customer service.

In May of 2022 my wife and son got me a new recliner. My family has been purchasing Lazy Boy for 50 years. We got a recliner that was supposed to be for larger men. Within a year the fabric on the sides has worn down to the wood. You can feel frame of the chair under the "cushion" and shavings of fibre board appear under the chair. I am well under the weight limit for the chair.
DON'T BUY LAZY BOY. They have ruined their reputation by building cheap garbage that won't last a year. It is a rip off unless they give me my money back, I will make sure to remind all customers in the future of my severe disappointment in the build quality.

I am absolutely in love with my new recliner from La-Z-Boy! This is the most comfortable & therapeutic chair I've ever sat in and I experienced exceptional customer service.

I've been on a 2 year journey of trying to find the right chair for my back. I have job-related upper back pain which gets aggravated sitting in most chairs. It was so bad I had to avoid using my newly renovated living room just because of the first chair that I had. The company that sold me my first chair has a very strict policy of not allowing returns or exchanges as soon as their furniture is delivered, with absolutely no exceptions. Even though that chair had me seeing a chiropractor. I had to sell it at a loss.

When I later went to LaZboy in Barrie, Carolanne patiently listened to all my concerns and recommended the ideal chair for me. So naturally, I chose a different chair. Which also gave me back pain (not due to build quality, it was just the wrong size/shape for me). Typically it's standard industry policy to not allow furniture returns after a couple days of delivery for obvious reasons. That said, the people working at LaZboy have a heart and recognized that this was a medical issue and was affecting many aspects of life. Even though I'm the one who made the mistake, Carolanne took the time to contact the owner and make the arrangements to exchange my chair for the original one she had recommended to me (the Astor). All I had to do was pay the difference & take some pictures to insure I hadn't damaged their original product. Both chairs were delivered ahead of schedule by the way.

I've only had my new recliner for a month now and today my chiropractor asked me what I did differently to improve so much from last visit!

The moral of the story is, the team at LaZboy are well trained to make the best recommendations for you. And as long as you are reasonable, they will probably be willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are 100% satisfied. Fantastic customer service guys! Thank you, thank you for helping me. I know where I'll be buying my next set of furniture.

We purchased 2 Jay reclining couches March 2022. With our first extended period sitting on the couches, we realized that the arm rests were really uncomfortable. There is no padding toward the chair back at all, so elbows and ribs are up against a block of wood. To work in the chair on a laptop, I constantly hit my elbow on wood. They are very uncomfortable and something we did not notice when we were in the showroom. I called within the first week of delivery.

It took La-Z-Boy over a month to get back to me after a store visit and 2 kindly worded emails. They told me they were not able to do anything to help. Before buying this couch, make sure you lean against the arm rests! I would not recommend theses couches or La-Z-Boy.

Quality and pricing were amazing especially during the February "slow times" at the Barrie Lazy Boy. Our salesman, Chris D, was exceptional. Need be, we will shop here again and request Chris as our guide thru all of the options.

Absolutely disappointing. I bought this couch in 2020 with Scotch guarding and a 7 year warranty. According to LA Z Boy, these stains are not covered under the warranty. I think the Scotch guard was never applied. Even water stains it. The marks on it are not indicative of any extreme or out of the ordinary spill, but of a protective coating that wasnt applied. I'm extremely disappointed that La Z Boy won't stand behind their product and have informed me that the staining was due to missuse. How exactly does one missuse a couch? I will never buy another LA Z BOY!

We Bought a Lazy boy from the Barry store about eight years ago after about a year the cushions were getting very soft, by the second year the hide-a-bed mattress in the couch was no longer any good to sleep on and the seams were tearing by the third year it was so uncomfortable. I phoned and complained, after
arguing
for some time.the best they would do is possibly give me a new mattress for my couch, witch I had already payed extra for when I bought the couch, for an upgrade. I bought Lazy boy because my mom had one many years ago and we seemed to have it forever. They certainly are not made like they used to sincerely Darlene Morgan

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I had to write about my very poor experience. I purchased a couch in mid January from Carolanne Wells. This was the first and last time she would speak to us. Once the sale was done, we were old news.

Was told 4-6 months but we banked on it being 6 months so should have been July. We were never followed up with a single update from anyone at the store. We followed up a couple of times near July and just kept getting the same story that it was almost here. By the middle of September, I stopped in the store to cancel my deal as I had never been proactively contacted or updated, and I needed a couch at this point. When I was at the store I spoke with the manager Mary Hunter and I was assured that she would look in to my refund as she -as the store manager remember - could not issue it. Mary assured me that she would not leave for the day without contacting customer service and that I would have a call by the end of the day/first thing the next day. I had to phone back the next day and Mary avoided my phone call. After leaving a message for her, I was finally contacted by another manager offsite - Nitin - later that evening (around 8pm).

Long story short, it took many frustrating hours, emails, phone calls and multiple stops in at the store to get some of my deposit back (they did keep a substantial portion because they claimed that a piece of the couch was a "custom" order and therefore they would not refund me everything) even though it was just a standard sectional couch in a commonly stocked colour.

Lastly, Mary Hunter handled the whole experience in a very sub- par manor.considering she is the store manager. I say this because when I was in the store to get my refund, she made eye contact with me and proceeded to hurry to the back of the store with her lunch in her hand so she did not have to converse with me. When I asked someone that saw this happen to go get her, she was suddenly on a phone call (even though she had just rushed by within 15 feet of me not even 1 minute prior).

NEVER AGAIN LA-Z-BOY. Never again.and you should not make the mistake of purchasing here either if you are reading this.

We bought two couches at the Barrie location. The sales lady said they were their best quality pieces and described them as the Cadillac of Leather couches. Within one year the seats were sagging, called and went into the Barrie store. “Sorry, out of Warranty”. These couches were $5000 each. What a let down. Poor quality and very poor after sale customer service. Do yourselves a favour and save yourself money by not purchasing anything here.
I would have given zero stars if available.
What a let down. The Brick and Bad Boy have much better quality and stand by their products. BUYER BEWARE.
