These people care about food and produce. You can really tell. Produce is fresher and better priced than most major/big grocery chains especially for items that are in-season. Dessert counter has some dangerously good items that I need to avoid! Staff are generally friendly and super helpful if you need help.

Great local Italian grocery store off Dufferin Street.

Not as big as a Metro or Fortinos, however considerably bigger than a convenience store. They have around 6 aisles for dry groceries, a back aisle for frozen goods, and the final portion of the store is dedicated to the fresh produce, meat, bakery, and delicatessen.

The store has been in service for greater than 60 years, and with good reason. While the dry grocery section can be a bit pricier than most, they make up for it given the imported goods and more niche products.

The fresh produce is absolutely amazing, and consistently fresh. The reduced section has incredible value, and often times is just as fresh as something from metro.

The bakery and hot foods are easily my favorite part of the grocery store. Always fresh, and great quality. If you go closer to end of day you can snag some pretty amazing deals for lunch/dinner the following day if you don't mind "day old" food.

While I haven't tried the delicatessen, the line is always packed so it must be good!

Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. It's also well staffed so you can always find someone to ask for help, if need be. Service is also very fast, but they don't rush you out the door either.

Great grocery store to shop in when you want a break from the bigger chains. While the overall bill might be a bit more expensive, you get the value back in both quality of food and shopping experience.

I was really surprised at just how good this store is. They had lots and lots of unique imports from Italy. The prices are very reasonable. The space is clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. I'll definitely have to go back there sometime and spend some time shopping around.

This was a disappointing experience. We happened to be shopping nearby and having heard good reports decided to try it out. Hardly anything compared favourably with purchases elsewhere. Not an exercise to be repeated.

Typical small supermarket.good selection of European food, but surly staff that don't want to be there make it a forgettable place to shop

Purchased lamb shoulder blades expensive Bartlett pears were at 2.29 a lb price of toast bread was at least 60cents more than no frills for the same toast bread the only thing they have going is quality, by the way I two weeks prior bought veal loin chops the server did not show my they cuts found two of them were under sized they should at least let you choose after all you are paying

You will find Everything Italian food. Home made sausages. Well managed. Also Loaded Imported Italian food.little parking space.

Well stocked. Deli meet always fresh. It's sad when a store with that reputation allows it to be tarnished by miserable and surly staff. I understand people have bad days, but what happend to professionalism? ! The hot food table and shelf stocking management need put more effort into costumer service. The cashiers and rest of staff are professional, so it can be done. Note, the pastries are way over priced. But what do you expect for a specialty store. Maybe I'll go to Nino Deversa for those. Lol

Great location for local and regional Italian product. My only grievance will always be the parking Lot situation. Front or back it can be scary.

Excellent selection of european/mostly Italian groceries and very competitive pricing! Nice produce section as well!

Well-organized, customer-friendly supermarket.
If only you'd widen the go-throgh lanes at your registers to make them wide enough for scooters for disabled to pass through, the shipping experience would've been truly great!

Lately is been hit and miss! They have good prices on usually their specials and once in there other items are actually more expensive! Sometimes their fruit and vegetables are good and at good prices sometimes they are stale and high prices. Tired of blaming quality and prices on COVID and the blockade. If it’s not right don’t put it out to the consumer!
Watch out Cataldi just opened up around the corner!? !? !

I love this store. Lots of variety of food from around the world. You can find food here that you never see in other stores. Can be very busy at times.

Lady York is very similar to Longo's. The produce is fresh and there is wide variety to choose from. The staff is always available for consultation. There are always several cashiers so there is usually little lineups; the cashiers are always very friendly.

Friendly atmosphere, very well stocked with a huge variety of fresh produce, everything a large grocery store offers, only smaller, which is what I prefer

Beautiful supermarket with traditional service, even the young staff are learning the old ways, if you can't find it here they don't make it Italy.capish

I was amazed at the extensive varieties of Italian products and fantastic fresh fruit and vegetable produce section. A hidden gem for grocery needs!

I buy my organic eggs here. They have a great hot table when I want some delicious and dont want cook. Only annoying thing is that they don't honour the 1 - 8 express line! I usually want to run in and run out and end up behind someone with a week's worth of groceries! Apparently it is the manager's call because they dont have enough regular cashiers! Really?

Believe me their tiramisu is really good. Better than other local Italian bakery near it. The building is old but they maintain it really clean and nice.

'Italian grocery" with good produce and meat, great deli, fresh breads/buns and all staples at good prices. Cashiers are fast and friendly. Can be crowded but is always well stocked. They also have a hot-table and desserts. Plenty of free parking.

Lady York is the best grocery store for vegetables, cheese, prsuto. I found good choice of healthy dry grains and beans. Frozen octopus is another favorite sea food that I buy in this store.

Just an advice! Keep your bill. I always get food that gets spoiled, even when the expire date is not even closed. Today was the ground meat. 3 weeks ago, the ricotta cheese was like vinegar. A while a ago was the milk 2%. First bag I opened out of the three, was spoiled. Got my money back. Not enough. Should give you some kind of compensation for the drive back. Its an exclusive store.that we don't drive there just because. If you have to go in and return some item.it's not fun at all.

I have been shopping at the store for about 20 years. The fruits and vegetables are always top notch. The store is well organized and tidy. There is always plenty of staff on hand for help.

I enjoy shopping at Lady York and buy my meat, cheese, deli, fruit and vegetables there. The freshness, big selection and friendly staff make it a great one stop shop destination.

Good variety of Italian food and groceries. Also found some cucumbers like the ones in Mexico. Haven't find those in any store.

Great for Italian grocery. Made a delicious shrimp pasta myself for the first time using great noodles I found from Lady York. Slowly becoming a regular customer!

Shopping here is like a voyage to the heart of Italy. There's pastas, huge variety of olive oils, sweets, coffees, without mentioning the breads and veggies. And then to top it all off the amazing meat counter, the cheese selection, cold cut variety, prepared food and to top it all off the sweets to tempt. Prices can be a bit high and scary for some things but careful selection will pay off. After many years coming here staff feel like family and know how to help and serve even in this strange time. Oh the olives, don't forget the olives. Chao.

Lady York has everything. Spotless and clean. Fantastic meats, fish, coldcuts and fresh ricotta and cheeses to amazing produce. Excellent Hot Table. The Employees are so helpful and friendly. My parents use to shop at Lady York when it was a tiny store located at Wilson and Lady York back in the early 70s and that was the only grocery store they shopped at. We are pleased the tradition continues and expanded to the Dufferin Location. Make Lady York your grocery store. You will not be disappointed.

My go to place for all my italian needs! They have a vast catalogue of imported product of really high quality for a reasonable price. Customer service could be better, but I love love love their products! Check their flyers if you're looking to save some money, there are always a bunch of good deals going on!

I cannot thank Chef Patrick for the amazing spread for our function. The food was amazing. Our guests were raving. I kept saying it's from Lady York. He prepared an abundunt amount and presented beautiful. He was professional, courteous and accommodating. Chef Patrick please keep up the fantastic work and service you have provided. Lady York is what I consider a true Grocery Store where the produce dry goods Italian Meats and fresh meats are well stocked and the staff are extremely helpful

Best grocery store this side of the city for fresh produce, Italian alimentari and unique Italian products. You can tell they really care about their products and their customers. The produce section inspires me to cook things I never cooked before. Love going to there!

Best supermarket in the city without a doubt. Best produce anywhere. Superb butcher, deli and hot table. Incredible wonderful staff!

Possibly the best local small supermarket for outstanding fresh produce, awesome baked goods and bread selections and great array of very very reasonably priced olive oils. Meats are not ti be ignored too!

The place is awesome. The people are awesome. But some times I felt a cold eye from a few of them I still don't understand why. But other than that the place is super cool.

I love coming to this store specifically for their deli meat selection! Great produce, and baked goods as well. Very friendly staff! Milk was a bit expensive here, not sure if that's because of the price its sold to them or otherwise, but watch for other good deals and hidden gems here.

Lately i noticed many problems at the cashiers levels. Not just at lady York but at another store too. The problem that is so frustrating is on 2 products i bought they charged more the product and did not even bother to see that i was reduced. I find that very wasteful of my time since i go out of my way to go to an Italian store. I will all them ask for a refund. Gees why do we hire cashiers for?

This one of my faves for produce. There is a great selection of items here for those who like their fruit and vegetables.

LY is a store with a focus on Italian foods. It carries a massive selection of locally produced and imported products. If you can't find it here they might be able to order it for you.

For motorists, its location is convenient to major thoroughfares and it has lots of parking.

If you have never experienced the place, try it. You'll like it

As an Italian living in Toronto I loved sometimes to have my grocery here at lady York. I can always find products from Italy that cannot find elsewhere.

After receiving countless fliers from this place along with our Italian neighbor raving about it, we finally decided to visit.

The pros - lots of quality Italian products. Decent cake options, cheese, huge sandwiches and friendly folks for the most part willing to help.

The improvement areas - it's a specialty store so don't expect discounted prices, while it's crammed with products some that may be offered in larger chains such as fortinos are harder to find.

All in all it's a staple of the neighborhood and worth a visit

Has a really good deli section with many prepared foods and Side dishes. Lots of italian foods and has surprisongly good selection of GF dried pastas.

Unfortunately the meat rice balls that I had weren't good.no meat, very sticky rice, tasteless, really very different from the real Sicilian meat rice balls. It is true that at Lady York you can find other interesting Italian product.

A truly great speciality supermarket experience. Long before Eataly there was Lady York! Worth the drive or Uber.

I love the variety of foods they offer. When you are looking for different and authentic foods, Lady York is the best place to go. A wonderful, unique store we're lucky to have in our community.
