Great spot in niagara for a relaxing meal and stunning views. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was tasty and delicious. Only complain could be that the menu needs a spruce up. The interior decor is very nice and the walk up bar is on point.
Suze was our server. She was so kind and friendly, I’d give her a slice of that key lime pie if I was the manager! Food came out super quick and was so good! Going back for sure
We had an absolutely wonderful family dining experience this past weekend at Lake House. After 25 years of living in Hamilton and driving past the Lake House, finally, at long last, we visited! I'm sad now that we waited so long. Yes, it was a splurge, but it is a great place for a celebration or date night. Elegant spaces and impeccable service support excellent dishes from the kitchen team. Three of our party opted for the prix fixe menu, and all, including myself, had the Moroccan Lamb Shank as the entree. I have lived my life until now, believing I did not like lamb, but was feeling adventurous. The lamb shank was so tender and flavourful - I've been missing out! Appetizers and a mini dessert are part of the prix fixe menu as well. My baked brie appetizer was delicious, and the tiny taste of the pesto pistachio feta dip shared with me was even better. The mini desserts were, after an appetizer and entree, plenty to finish the meal. Our companions both chose the Pecan crusted salmon and enjoyed it completely. We dined upstairs in a room with perhaps 8 tables, so it is quite quiet and has windows overlooking the lake. The server who looked after our party, Kaila, was tremendous. Attentive, helpful and very friendly, and cheerful even though it seemed like it was a very busy, hectic Saturday dinner service. Thank you, Kaila! And of course, thank you to the kitchen staff for that spectacular Moroccan Lamb Shank!
I have always seen this place driving by on the QEW and always wondered why the parking lot was always so full. I get it now. Excellent food, service, everything. They accommodate gluten free and pork free very well too. They do free birthday mini desserts that are pretty good too. We will be back. The gluten free bread was a big surprise. Not many places can do gluten free that doesn’t taste like cardboard.
Decent Mediterranean restaurant around the area. Can be crowded especially in summer time. Definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time. The seafood paella for two was a hit. Ample parking in front. It’s next to the QEW and hard to miss.
Good burgers and portions, but the service not so good, we spend more than $200 and they didn’t let us get outside to the deck just to take a picture, a waitress was very mean and upset because we open the door to get outside to take a picture and walk, she said it was a slipping hazard, which we didn’t understand because it was not wet or slippery at all. Other family had walked out from there as well and she didn’t said anything to them… Very disappointed…think twice before going here!
Slow service, terrible quality food I swear the French fries were macain frozen, the Mac and shrimp only had 3 small shrimp at the bottom of dish. My steak was a terrible peice of fatty meat that I couldn’t eat, brought home to dog! Not even a veggie with the steak meal…. For $56! I didn’t see the prices on menu as they put the numbers close to each meal selection and with no $ sign, Go to the KEG way better food and prices! Don’t waste your money here! Wish I could post photos for you
Amazing - a must try for those visiting the Niagara area and locals! Celebrated an anniversary dinner here last night and the food was incredible, we had the mussels, tiger shrimp fettuccine and bolognese and some local wine. Our server was great, very attentive, made great suggestions.
I had the baby spinach salad, and loved the caramelized pecans, then dressing was good - not overwhelming but tasty and just the right amount in the leaves. My friends all enjoyed their foods - especially the seafood gnocchi mac and cheese looked and tasted amazing (I had a bite of hers). They had a full vegetarian menu which was great and options for gluten free. They had a selection of small cakes in shot glasses for the birthday girl to choose from which was fun too. Waitress was kind. I would love to come back here for another special occasion:)
Our server Matthew was very friendly and efficient. The risotto and octopus with shrimp were both delicious and worth the pricing. The selection of mini desserts were nest and the creme caramel was amazing. Very accommodating to those with special dietary needs.
After passing this place on the QEW for the past 30 years, I finally made it inside. We were seated promptly at a table in the back with a beautiful lake view.still lively in winter! Both our wait staff and the food exceeded our expectations, and we will be back there before long.
It was ok but it felt like we were racially profiled because upstairs there was only 3 asians. So we felt a litte racially profiled but it might just be a coincident.
