We adopted our cat Lucky (aka Baboo) in August 2020. She was our little Covid kitty and we are so thankful for how accommodating they were (we were moving apartments at the time and they kept her for a week so we didn’t have to stress her with multiple moves) tonight we were laying in bed petting our perfect little fur ball And we felt the need to express how thankful we were for this facility! They helped complete our small family

The people who work and volunteer here are great. They.are kind and certainly loving towards all the animals.
The compassion they show for the abandoned, abused neglected and surrendered animals is not only visible but heart felt.

It's a shame when greed/money is of higher importance than giving a cat the opportunity of being adopted into an excellent home.still looking for a black cat!

Not the friendly open shelter it once was. To consider adopting a dog you need to apply on line and if they feel it's a good fit arrange a time to visit. I remember when you could just walk in, see the dogs and after interacting decide to apply. The shelter is only open for cats/kittens meet and greets. I don't understand why it's okay for cats and not dogs. I think that's why it's taking so long for a dog to be adopted. At one time I frequently donated to LAWS. I can't anymore when I learn of these ridiculous policies.

Adopted 2 kittens who were about 13 weeks old. They are part Norwegian Forest cat. Dee contacted me immediately when I said I was looking for a long haired kitten, and when we saw them, we had to bring both home. They looked after everything, immunizations, fixing, starter food, etc. Great process

Staff was wonderful and patient with me as I picked out my perfect companion. Definitely a great place if you are looking to adopt a pet! I now have the perfect companion. Claire settled in and was comfortable in her new home almost immediately. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great place but some of the staff can be rude. They do do a great job rescuing and rehoming animals.

What a fabulous experience adopting our 2 little fur babies Ash & Maple! This shelter raised these 2 kittens from birth and you can tell all the love that they received and the experience of people that know what they are doing! I recommend highly this shelter and supporting them in any way! Shout out to Dee & Lindsay and also to Zoe for having such a great team!

The friendliest staff I have ever met! I adopted a kitten in February, she was in a foster home so I set up a meeting with her at the shelter and brought her home day of, the process was quick and easy and they were very helpful as I am a first time cat owner! Setting up appointments has been super easy and if I ever get another cat I hope it is from this place:)

Didnt realise how much was there! Will be checking back more often; very reasonable AND it helps the animals!

The staff were very nice to me and my friends when we were visiting. The cats were pretty nice too!

This is a wonderful place to stop in if you are looking for a pet. Go online and see who is waiting for a home and then make an appointment to visit. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
We made an appointment to get the nails shortened on our dogs. Our dogs love the way they are cared for and the treats are delicious.

Staff are friendly and clearly love their job! Got a cute kitten and they supplied a lot of the starter stuff. Even some toys!

Our family recently visited LAWS to meet some kittens. I have a lot of loyalty to LAWS because I got two kittens there 17 years ago. Both then and now, I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience.

I first saw photos of the kittens on their Facebook page and website. I contacted the kitten coordinator who took time to ask what our family was looking for in a new pet for our family. We made arrangements to look at kittens from 3 different litters.who were all being fostered. Each foster family brought the kittens to LAWS for our visit.

We had time to spend with each kitten and then also while we deliberated on our final choice. The staff and volunteers at LAWS were knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The kittens were up to date with their shots, heartworm/flea/tick medication, and were microchipped. We also got voucher coupons ($75) towards a neuter/spay.

In the end we left with 2 sister kittens who are a wonderful addition to our family I highly recommend LAWS! They are a charitable organization that I will gladly put my money behind. An excellent experience all around.

What a wonderful experience we had adopting our kitten. Dee went above and beyond to help us. She took the time to explain everything very well and take us through our next steps. You can tell how much love she has for the shelter and all the animals there.

The staff are warm and friendly. My wife and I foster newborn kittens for them now. (my wife does the hard work I get to play with them). We had found 5 babies and I had one at my work that I tamed and they helped us find good homes for them. It's very hard to find good homes for cats. They are doing a great job and don't let irresponsible people adopt them. Their process helps ensure good homes

Animals there are well taken care of people are always decent gotten a few cats there through the years
