Lakefront West Park

Just out for a walk. But tried to sit at the lakefront and there were red ants everywhere.

I come to this spot to do yoga with Bohemian Bliss. It's always so serene. Especially when the swallows start flying about. I used to play baseball, and the fields seem just as well kept as 15 years ago. The walking path usually has a slow to steady flow of walkers, joggers, and bikers of all ages.

Great for baseball or slow pitch. Nice biking path. But no shade if you are walking on the path. Very clean.

This place is a hidden gem - hardly anyone there, beautiful shoreline filled with Riverstone, and more native plants than I've seen in all of Durham. It looks well managed. Tons of birds, mostly swallows, flying over the baseball diamond and wildflowers. Will definitely visit again, instead of going to the overcrowded lakefront park beach.

Diamonds are pretty well kept, grounds are clean, but the potties could use more frequent cleaning.

Although it's cold this site is a good place to visit. If you need to stretch your legs, walk your pet or go for a jog it will meet your needs. As the weather gets warmer this location becomes only that much better.

Beautiful park by the water with a nice trail for walking, running, or biking. It also has some nice Stillwater areas for dogs to run into and splash around it. There is lots of filled space there as well baseball diamonds and other sports facilities as well.

Nice place to take a stroll and enjoy the waves whether during summer or winter.just watch out where you step during the summer- people like taking dogs.and tge garbage too

This park is a memorial park with a good beach, play area, baseball and playfield nearby, and a long time wonderful historical buildings, dance/banquet hall called the Jubilee Pavilion. A family can enjoy the all the features of this location including swimming or go for a walk on the pier or along the beach. The Lakeview Park is also along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail which is up to over 500 kilometers of bike paths along Lake Erie from near Point Pelee Provincial Park to near the Quebec border with Ontario.

Very nice park overlooking Lake Ontario. Quiet when we got there (around 10am on a Friday) and was extremely cold. We walked a few paths and hung out on one of the small cliffs overlooking the lake. Very nice and panoramic views.
