They left my mother is her own droppings for more than two hours, multiple times. She also has bed sores which the excrement's seeped into. We heard it was the worst hospital in all of Canada and they definitely lived up to that title. Most of the nurses have an attitude problem as well.not to mention the way that they handle parking is a giant mess. I almost got ripped off. I had to go and get that fixed.
10 January 2024 12:29
Don't get me wrong staff were kind but be prepared to wait more than seven hrs just to talk to a Dr.

I was with chest pain and every-time I asked for help the nurses told me I’m the next. 6hrs later and multiple times being told this still nothing. The doctor passed me on multiple occasions, visiting different patients but any time i tried to get his attention i was ignored.

I watched as everyone who arrived after me was called in, treated and sent home.

Finally a nurse came and said sorry for waiting long time but it didn’t give me any relief for pain, and I left without seeing doctor after 7 hours.

Lakeridge Health Emergency, Critical Care and ICU Nurses, Physicians and RTs do gods work.
29 December 2023 14:58
If there is less than one star I will do it.
It is the worst hospital I ever seen.
Too unnecessary waiting time. Un clean especially the emergency rooms. The staff most of them they are talking and let the patients waiting for hours.
05 October 2023 22:51
This has to be one of the worst hospitals I’ve been too. DO NOT COME HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOUR SUFFERING FROM CHEST PAIN! They didn’t even give me a wrist band! There is absolutely NO urgency with the doctors and nurses and some of them just have attitude when you’re actually lost and in pain. If anything happens to me tonight it’s because of this hospital and their lack of urgency in emergency. Your honestly better off going to Scarborough Gen.at-least they take chest pain more seriously
29 September 2023 3:21
Took 3 days of returning and being stuck in the ER to be taken seriously about severe abdominal pain. 3rd visit they sent a referral to a GI specialist and told me to call the clinic by Friday at 1 if they hadn't reached out. So I did Clinic closed at 12. So had to wait 3 additional days in pain to try and contact the special. No instruction for pain management and no answers despite X ray, CT, and ultrasound.
24 September 2023 7:59
I wouldn't even give 1 syar, the wait times are horrendous. U sit and wait to be seen and watch nurses and doctors stare at a screen and do absolutely nothing for 9 hours. But they get paid good money. Absolute joke
19 September 2023 2:36
Having to wait 15 hours in a hospital bed in a hallway was so awful. Even with nurses, doctors, paramedics, and police walking by it was one of the most isolating experiences I ever had. Then you get set up in a room and it's prison-like. You can't use your phone. You can only see your parents during visiting hours. You can't leave. Uncomfortable beds. Terrible food. No privacy. The wait times are inhumane. I use to be able to walk in and get quick service for my mental health problems. I really don't ever see a reason to come here for help ever again. Free healthcare only means so much if the service is completely awful.
05 August 2023 14:23
A few months late on this review but woowwww… I had a c section in January and I cannot say enough good things about the nursing staff and doctors that took care of me and lil baby. The anesthesiologist was so funny, my surgeon and OB was probably the best doctor I’ve had. Every. Single. Nurse. Took the time to help me even though they were very busy. They helped latch my baby and get formula when needed. I could go on forever about my experience… only point off is hospital food didn’t pay attention to my dietary restrictions. By far so grateful for my nursing staff, doctors, and everyone else who truly made my experience here special and memorable. Shout out to the nurse who sat with me while I cried at 4am and talked me up. Shout out to the nurse who helped me use the bathroom and chill with me waiting to pee without catheter.love you guys
23 July 2023 1:24
What an awful, awful hospital. The mental health unit must be shut down and a thorough investigation done (unbelievably long overdue) … yet… it goes on… There is no organization in this society to do what’s required and that can be trusted to conduct serious honest investigations into places like this (and this is not the only hospital where it needs to be done). Very disturbing.
19 July 2023 19:35
The staff in ER do not have a single ounce of empathy. They treat people like they are just to cause them headache. 4 hour wait in ER and 1.5 hr for triage and all that without even understanding if the patient needs urgent care.
18 July 2023 0:26
Awesome place I find to get help even though the wait is a little long I respect the nurses and mental health doctors in this hospital Ik that it's not there fault it's because it gets busy so the wait is not there fault so I rate them 10 out of 10 and 10 out of 10 for mental health they figure out a problem and make it happen I officially put respect on the mental ward they handled a situation where I almost was in a fight with another patient because he was blocking my door from getting out thankfully the nurse calmed me down because I was about to get 0 to 100 but thanks again to the mental ward that helped me and normal me without meds wouldn't have been the bigger person but nurse's do there job to fix anything thanks again for your help because I feel like I'm a bigger person now
25 February 2023 17:05
The longest wait times for ER. 4 hours and still haven't been called in for my 18 month old
09 February 2023 2:04
Triage waiting reception person on Saturday Nov 5 early morning was rude, i felt that she could have been happier if she doesnt have to talk to any patients. There was another lady right infront of emergency entrance reception who was kind enough to treat us as humans. Also nurse understood error we made and accomodated us to see the doctor instead of waiting 6 more hours. Waiting time to see doctor was beyond reality, doctor was doing his best to look after everyone but one doctor is not enough in Oshawa ER anymore, taxes increase but not doctors? ! Cant blame nurse or doctor for delay but management/Gov should look into it. Again, ER triage waiting reception lady should receive people much better way so people dont feel sick for getting sick. Last thing that a patient or family expects from hospital staff is rude treatment. Just my 2 cents.
14 January 2023 14:00
Day staff were lovely. Attentive, upbeat, and caring. But as soon as shift change happened I was treated like I was a burden just because I wanted to know rough ETAs. They tell me they only have one doctor, but I saw the waiting room near zone 5 clear 3 times with the doctor talking to patients and yet after 3 hours of waiting in that area all they could tell me was 'soon'. I decided after 10.5 hours in total waiting, and the last bus back out to my area about to arrive just have them take my darn IV out so I could go home. I'd rather suffer at home than seek medical care from here ever again.
13 January 2023 6:07
My husband and my 22 month old son had visited the ER around 4: 15 am on a Saturday morning. My son had an infection in his left ear.at first my son was patient for 30-45 mins, the pain was hurting him so he started crying non stop…. I am 36 weeks pregnant and i had to hug him the whole time, it wasn't my fault he was crying and screaming.he was in pain! The nurse gets mad at me and insults me that I am rude.that's one thing, once our turn comes, the nurse inside asks me to stop walking with my son, because she had difficulty to heard the others patients.wow. I mean a pregnant woman with a 22 month old toddler what do you expect? ! So unprofessional
10 January 2023 14:24
Do not care to attend the patients with care. Lack of explanation. No sense of urgency but rush their time with their patients.
08 January 2023 12:17
Honestly it was way overpopulated, but considering there was a male doctor in blue scrubs, tall dark hair, and handsome, young, he was my savior. He did what other professionals have ignored me being there 3 times with my spouse in psychosis. He was involved, smart, and very efficient. I wish I got his name. He is the reason doctors have a good name. That man who works in emergency in the back. Thank you. So much. And the beautiful nurse who helped us too. Thak you both so much. And the security. I'm so thankful rightnow.
05 January 2023 22:12
Honestly if you can pull through and get yourself to better hospital I highly recommend that option. The staff isn’t all that nice (triage especially). The hospital is very disorganized, and just overall lack of care.
04 January 2023 11:26
My daughter recently broke her elbow. We were in and out in 3 hours. I think this is a realistic time to be seen by a nurse, a doctor, X-rays and consultation! From when we went in until when we left they were all so helpful and friendly! Great job!
30 December 2022 14:50
Can’t I rate no stars?

Save yourself and go to a better hospital.

Current wait time 4-5 hours for emergency.

No one is friendly. No one is happy to be here and I understand but this is no environment for healing.

Beaming lights and pointless television. No air flow. No care actually given. In out like rodents.

Staff “cant tell you” how long you’ll be waiting.

It’s really just sad.

I pity this city of Oshawa and it’s lack of upgrade to their hospital.
23 December 2022 16:33
Zero Stars! Seriously, my best friend has just finished radiation therapy. Waiting days for a prescription from the cancer centre and told not to call again! JERKS. You are in the wrong position. Find a new job and stop offending people who are hurting and trying to recover! Stupid app makes me give a star - but it is a zero from me!
21 December 2022 18:28
My wife and i had our son here will say it was the worst experiance i have ever had the nurses act like they are playing god and like to diagones the problem themselfs.if you are having youre first born go somewhere else not worth the stress these people put on you i have some advice nurses leave the diognoses to the DRs and you guys just keep cleaning bed Pans thanks
18 December 2022 12:22
What has our ER & Healthcare System comes to.when you're sitting in the ER with a very ill child for hours but because you know someone/employeein the ER, you get put in the front of the line! Witness this first hand at Oshawa, Lakeridge Health! Trust me, I definitely witness it all in person, the individual appears perfectly fine chating on phone walking around, looking way better that a lot others in the ER.but one phone call to a family member complaining she didn't like the fact she would've to wait so long, within minutes family member appeared and walked in the sevice zone and got another employee who was wear Hospital Scrubs, he went to the attending Nurse at the door and told him to let them in next! Guess what? The person's name was called next to go in to see the doctor.while we waited 5+ hrs with our sick child. Guess you've to know somebody to even get medical services in Canada.
16 December 2022 19:08
This team was amazing! My 18 month old was having trouble breathing. We arrived at the ER and registered (the system at the door was a bit glitchy). We waited in triage for just a short while. The triage nurse was wonderful! She took such good care of my baby and took us right back to acute care after her initial assessment. We had two fabulous nurses in the acute care, a visit from the respiratory therapist and a lovely doctor. We arrived at about 10: 30 and were discharged by 2am. I know not everyone gets through so fast but they took our situation very seriously. They were efficient, kind and reassuring. We had an incredible experience because of this great and caring team. They took such great care of my baby! Thank you so much!
13 October 2022 10:44
Had a total knee replacement performed on August 15,2022. I could not have been treated any better from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, by all doctors, nurses and orderlies involved. Special thanks go out to Alyssa, Tasha and Kathy who were my nurses during my stay, you are amazing.
10 October 2022 11:20

I mean a pregnant woman with a 22 month old baby, what do you want her to do wrong.
23 September 2022 21:06
Considering staff shortages, the delays are understandable. I was pleasantly surprised by the upbeat attitude of everyone from paramedics to nurses to doctors in what must be a very frustrating environment. I received excellent and caring attention and saw the staff do the best they could in locating rooms and services. Overall very pleased with the care given especially Zone 4 caregivers.
03 September 2022 9:33
On March 3 2021 I went to this Hospital to have the scan done for those who smoke more than 20 years and was 55 or older. Yes I was nervous but I wanted to quit smoking and wanted to be sure I was clear. I had the scan and on March 5th my doctor called and said they found cancer.
He said they also found a growth inside my heart which they would have to take care of first. My doctor at Lakeridge notified Dr Cusimano at Toronto General and Surgery for my heart was scheduled for April 23 2021. They did open heart removed the growth and had to put in a pacemaker. Three weeks later I was scheduled at Lakeridge hospital to have my lower right lobe of my lung removed.
So I give this hospital 100 stars for saving my life.
Thank you to all who helped me get through all of this
God bless you all

And to all you smokers who think you can't quit well you can.
I smoked 53 years and I have not smoked since the day I was told to quit.
I am feeling fantastic.
29 August 2022 12:49
Absolutely terrible. Brought our 7 year old in with 100 degree fever, can't stay awake, puking, shivering and we waiter without being seeing for hours. The nurse at registration was a huge B*+×÷. Refused to help in any way.

We left
23 August 2022 11:20
Everyone from the volunteers, nurses, health care workers and doctors were first class. Friendly and helpful. I am very happy to have received my tests at this hospital.
20 August 2022 14:17
I have been blessed to be a patient of Dr. Wood. I feel at peace starting my journey with him as my guide to heel me from my pain. He has been nothing but positive, and given me hope from the very first time I met him. He treats his patients like actual humans and not just another patient. He is very knowledgeble and takes time to explain it to you in a way you'd understand. You always leave his office feeling better than you came in.
25 January 2022 19:01
From the very first pain and 911 call I've never felt in better hands. After having a mild heart attack with the potential of a major heart attack the staff at the hospital were amazing answering all my questions and showing me the best of care. I honestly felt a bit spoiled here and I hate hospitals. Ive had not so good experiences here but they have really stepped up their game. They genuinely care about the comfort of the patient and went way above and beyond to ease my fears. I didn't catch the nurses name in trauma but Alison in the cardiac unit was awesome. Thank you so much for caring and the job you do everyday. I'm alive and healthy because of you
15 January 2022 21:27
I gave birth to my son on November 20th and I was so pleased with my experience. My first attending nurse was comforting throughout my wait for an epidural and was very attentive to my needs for comfort. The OB on call was so calm, his voice was incredibly soothing and he made me feel like I was in good hands. We avoided complications and a very big shoutout to Ashley, who delivered my son. She was so patient and encouraging and I felt safe and determined. I had a great delivery and these 3 truly made it what it was. Thank you to them, from my and my son Max
05 January 2022 8:28
Due to severe chest congestion, breathing issues and tough dry coughing my family admitted me in this hospital. From beginning the paramedic pro behaviour was so rude.

I admitted here 6: 45 pm. I was waiting 4 hours in emergency sitting area. I go through 7 times very massive breathing issues and 2 times almost falling situation. After 9: 30 pm they call in waiting room. But by this time they send me for x-ray. Only 2 people waiting. I am waiting first and they call me after second patient who is playing there. No problem. Now i am waiting for doctor again. Now 11: 123pm. I don’t know how long it will go.

I will rather die in home but will not call again in emergency.
31 December 2021 12:08
Labour and delivery turned away a surrogate/mother of four at 40+ week pregnant because she didn’t look pregnant enough. Even though she was able to show ultrasound video from September 2021 showing that she was over 21 weeks they didn’t believe how far along she was and sent her back down to emerge to be assessed while she was in labour. She left immediately and was never helped. Now she sits at home day two of labour trying to deliver her own baby after only having c-sections. This place is not for regular people. Seems like they’re only an ad to people with addiction looking to overdose. This was the same experience at Ajax-Pickering hospital as well.
27 December 2021 7:31
Someone was brought in by ambulance and police with suicidal ideation actually he called the police himself this morning as was going to act on it. He was seen in the ER and was released without seeing a crisis worker and on top of that was discharged to home with no way to get there. As a crisis nurse for many years I can’t fathom not putting him on a Form 1 and admission to hospital when this person was seeking help. Yes he was on heavy drugs but for God’s sake help the young man. This has happened before. He is seeking to go to a drug rehab centre and is getting no help

I may be an older nurse but can still do crisis psych. So I would like to know why the majority of reviews are very negative. Perhaps the hospital CEO and Board of Directors need to see these reviews. Obviously something is very wrong.
25 December 2021 11:02
Nursing staff were instructed to ignore a patient because a nurse thought the patient was just "pretending. " That patient died shortly after. Time of death unknown.
18 December 2021 23:21
The worst hospital I have ever gone to. One nurse specifically has absolutely no compassion with her job. Being in the medical field, I am disappointed with the staff specifically the one I encountered on Saturday night. You would think a nurse who's fully educated would understand when someone is having a panic attack, but NO she decided to make my anxiety worse by arguing with me. If I could I would report her for being unprofessional but my anxiety was off the roof to even get her name. I was with my 2 year old at the time and she didn't even care that she was crying because of the situation. She's Asian with long black hair. She had the odacity to role her eyes when I asked her how she has the nerve to make my anxiety worse after I told her I had one. Thank God her colleague made her leave. Everyone in the waiting room was disturbed with how unprofessional and IMMATURE she was. Once I was called to go see a doctor I encountered her and seeing her with her colleagues she was loud and obnoxious and made me feel so uncomfortable being there. I'm sure she told them the encounter she had with me in the waiting room. I would love to have her name but it's not worth going back to that hospital
07 December 2021 10:44
After I was hit by a car as a pedestrian, l was unfortunately taken to Lakeridge; being the nearest hospital. I lost consciousness during this accident, hit my head and many parts of my body were injured. They did absolutely NO imaging, NO scans, NOTHING. Prescribed me pain killers and sent me home. I was asking them to do imaging and they said it wasn’t necessary. I came to emergency the next day with severe pain, requesting they do some sort of imaging just to make sure I’m ok. NOPE. Emergency doctor said I should just take the pain killer prescribed earlier and go home.

I have never been more DISGUSTED by the negligence of treatment in my life.
05 December 2021 22:21
If there was an option to put a 0 I would.
This hospital has extremely rude staff who shows zero compassion for patients. The staff, doctors and admin need a lesson on kindness.
01 December 2021 1:28
I went to emergency twice within a couple of weeks. Neither time did the doctor take the time to try to solve my health issue which turned out to be DKA which is a life threatening condition related to diabetes. Thank goodness my family doctor sent me to Centenary emerg who admitted me for SEVEN days and solved my problem. Lakeridge Oshawa could have KILLED me. If you can go to another hospital. DO NOT GO TO LAKERIDGE OSHAWA. Their patient experience staff who call you are completely useless.
22 November 2021 19:58
My mother passed from cancer. They overdosed her on Morphine. Then she had a stroke. The staff were horrible. I had to argue to get them to change her d. When we arrived we thought there would be treatment. Mother walked in with us. Lucid and erect. Nervous but positive. We had no idea she was in Stage 4. The doctor was very vague on her condition, since she prescribed the overdose, we did not see her again. I confronted her calmly and that was that. I could go on and on. Don't let distance make you go to the nearest hospital. Read their reviews before you go for friend of family.
21 November 2021 22:53
Worst staff for ER! No manners what so ever! Terrible Terrible customer service! ER STAFF NEEDS TO VE REPLACED. If you can find another hospital
18 November 2021 2:22
Covid rules really need to be rethought. They wouldn't even let me into the hospital to walk my husband to be checked in for surgery. For SURGERY. Meanwhile they are allowing visitors? But I can't just make sure everything is in place for them to call me? Had an anxiety attack in the parking lot because of it.
14 November 2021 22:27
Worse hosiptal. Brought brother in twice and i am power of attorney. He is blind on one eye, hard of hearing so hard to understand questions is a diabetic and on dylasis. Face and throat swollen couldn't stay with him but allowed 4 white vistors in with there family members but not me. And nurse rude when I called to check in. Disgusting
09 November 2021 14:04
A poor experience with taking someone in for mental health complications. Management is investigating. Hopefully good things come of it.
31 October 2021 10:45
USE A BUDDY SYSTEM, keep in touch with your loved ones while staying in patient here this hospital is not safe! I had a horrifying experiences here. Back in September of last year I was admitted to the psychiatric ward at the Oshawa location where things were going okay until one of the nurses (Gina) offered me a medication that I was not prescribed by any medical professional at a relatively high dose letting me know that I was on the medication when asked when I wasn’t. Bottom line she gave me medication that I wasn’t prescribed and then came back to my room like nothing at all happened.
I was admitted back again in February and my treatment was even worse. The staff treated me literally like garbage. Giving me disposable trays oppose to plastic trays like everyone else, being sworn at, having medications left in my room multiple times and being put on several different medication without being told or informed by the psychiatrist.
I wake up with nightmares about this place, it really has torn my mental health apart.
17 October 2021 5:44
I was a patient at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa from August 16-19,2021 when I had surgery performed by Dr. Chin. Overall, my experience with the entire staff throughout the process of preop appointment, surgical admission, actual surgery and recovery from surgery on the 7th floor was extremely positive. I was treated with the utmost in professional care and attention from every staff member who came in contact with me and I am grateful for their compassion and expertise. I really want the community to know about my positive experience as the staff needs to be commended.
12 October 2021 22:08
Endless waiting time even at Emergency room. If you need immediate help please don't go there, you'd probably have to die before a doctor comes to see you. One of the worst hospitals i've ever been
06 October 2021 1:42
Last November I experienced severe pain in my front left side I called 911 and was picked up by Ambulance within a few min I was admitted to Lakeridge right away I was given Toradol for pain which didn't work but then given morphine which it did, I then had a CT scan which revealed a kidney stone, the doctor mentioned it was almost done passing and that it should come out soon which it did, all the doctors nurses and paramedics were awesome and caring.
01 October 2021 22:24
The wait time in this hospital is very long, many hours will pass before a doctor see you. In this country Canada people are sold lies that we have the best health care system. No we have one of the worst health care systems in the world.
30 September 2021 3:01
The worest hospital staff and security rude racists wait time forever even when they not busy please someone bring some changes.
27 September 2021 4:43
I took my son to the Emergency Department today. I was little leary about going to this hospital after reading countless negative reviews about Emerg but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised about the care my son recieved here. All the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. There was a long wait (4 hours) but they were busy and I kind of expected a bit of a wait. All in all I think the service/care was exceptional.
15 September 2021 3:30
Had an amazing experience delivering my first born, the nurses were excellent especially with the pandemic. Appreciate all the labour and delivery and post partum nurses.
06 September 2021 15:35
My 84 year old father was taken by ambulance, he ended up in a chair for two hours in a waiting room!

He felt faint with no staff checking on him no one to help you, and of course no family because of COVID-19 protocol. Finally he was taken to a cubby room on a bed where he stayed for two+ days! He was then moved up to the 9th floor to a semi private, where the nurses were excellent!

Unfortunately, we can’t say that about the doctor in charge of his case. The doctor, that I wouldn’t name did not visit him, we asked for him to call a family member to give an update, the call never came! There was one specialist that saw him after a procedure but of course he could not comprehend what he said!

A 2 star is a fair score! It appears that there are too many doctors and nurses using The pandemic for their laziness and lack off caring!
04 August 2021 23:27
Arrived at 11: 15am, sent me for blood test, return sitting, call back for ex ray. Send me back at waiting room. 5: 15 PM send me in for urine test.
Have not received resold, it's 6PM.
Staff were more interested in ending there shift.
18 May 2021 23:33
The nurses, crisis workers etc here are amazing. Petra, she is a nurse, nicest lady i have ever met.i sat in ER for 8 hours after a attempted od, she brought me sandwiches, snacks, she made sure i was okay.she was absolutely amazing. Tom, he was a nurse too i believe, also such a nice guy, he told me i was gonna be okay, and gave me a fist bump, just that gave me more courage to keep pushing through.that hospitals workers truly restored my faith in humanity.
12 May 2021 2:07
Staff was kind. Came in by ambulance and was then made to wait in the waiting room (which was empty) cause they said they had no beds. When I finally went in there were tons of rooms empty with lights out! I heard the staff talk more about them picking their summer vacation then they actually interacted with patients! I was sent home in tears in pain with a prescription that I can fill!
30 April 2021 7:41
I've had to spend lots of time at this hospital over the past few years for some pretty serious treatments and surgeries. I have always been treated with kindness, compassion, and professionalism, and my medical care has been spot-on. I am constantly amazed at how they treat some pretty rude people with dignity and respect. Thanks for your great care.
28 April 2021 18:55
I had a very bad experience at Lakeridge hospital ER. Few months ago I had a miscarriage and I was new to this & the closest hospital was Lakeridge so we decided to go. My husband wasn’t allowed to go with me because of COVID situation so I had to wait there by myself more than 3 hours with BAD PAIN and yet no one showed any compassion, no care. At least they should take care of their patients. I just needed small help. I was throwing up and was alone in all this.
25 April 2021 2:09
Terrible. I am waiting from.past 3 hours to just hear back on my test results. After I checked with them whats taking so long, they are telling me that they have my results but don't have enough room to call me in. Another lady got screened with me and was a freind with one of the nurses and got called 2 hours ago. Plus the nurses are rude. Most of the ppl in waiting area are coughing and sneezing so be ready to be exposed. I know they call on urgent basis but I am in a compromised position too just don't want to mention here. I know they are doing it intentionally now. Crazy people. Don't waste your time here, find a different hospital.
21 April 2021 13:52
Was admitted to facility March 6 2020 and discharged April 1st 2020. My care was excellent and my stay was made bearable by the the kindness of all staff.
18 April 2021 23:19
I had to go for emergency and day surgery staff and dr Galante are awsome I had the bestest treatment cannot be any better I also had biopsy awsome awsome kind staff
17 April 2021 1:55
My friend broke her arm and they discharged her with no diagnosis. Had to go to a different hospital to get the diagnosis and proper care! How do you let a patient leave with a broken arm? ! Disgraceful! Absolutely unbelievable.
15 April 2021 1:32
On Monday February 1, my wife had a Bilateral Laparoscopic Hysterectomy.
My wife said, the doctor, surgical team and all of the nurses, receptionists and others were very kind and patient. She would like to thank each and everyone involved.

Yesterday was my first time at this hospital since I moved to Oshawa and everyone was very kind.
Starting with The triage nurse who was very sweet and the nurse who did my ECG & blood work & x-ray they were super nice and Dr. Blair Bigham is such a kind soul (got his name from referral paper otherwise I'm bad at remembering names).
God bless you all.

I dont recommend this hospital at all, they are the worst. They treat their patients unequally.

Possibly one of the worst hospitals! The ER nurses are incompetent and lack compassion. They neglected my father while he stayed in ER for 3 days, not giving him food for 3 days. They kept transferring him to different ER zones becuase they didnt have a bed for him for 3 days! The nurses thought my father had Alzheimer's disease and neglected him. No, he does not have Alzheimer's disease! Anyone who hasnt eaten or slept for 3 days will get symptoms similar to Alzheimer's disease for Gods sake. You will come out of this hospital feeling worse than you entered. Do not come to this hospital! Go somewhere else. They have caused my family a lot of stress. No one cares about you here. Period.

Terrible hospital. Avoided medical malpractice as patient was mute for 3 years from trauma (2 years to from moment of incident to sue) but will not slip criminal charges of assault, illegal detainment and administrating drugs into a patient causing allergic reaction.

Tried to refuse to give the list of drugs administered and then when demanding them by law to give them recieved a sticky note?
Unprofessional.

A 90 year old woman who was treated terribly there refused to go back there even after breaking her hip.

If you have to go to a hospital, go elsewhere. Do not let this hospital traumatize you out of your future health care.

PLEASE READ: My statement can be summed up by saying, if I was hurt and needed help ASAP I would NOT recommend stopping near this hospital. The nurse me and my girlfriend dealt with was not at all qualified for her job in the position she was in. To have a nurse LAUGH at a patient in a mental health crisis and to argue with her parents who were looking for help and care for their daughter. I would walk to Ajax with a broken leg just to stay away from this hospital. Highly do NOT recommend.

Truly the worst hospital i have ever received care from, the staff does not care about a single patient in there and it is more than apparent. Their mental health department is a joke, i have never felt as though they listen to any of my concerns. Lake ridge hospital is just trying to get you out, they are not there to help. All of my friends have had the same terrible experience at this hospital as well. Do yourself a favour and drive over to a neighbouring city and get help at a different hospital it will save you time and trouble.

My husband complains about the nursing staff and doctors. He hates coming here, yet he himself is the only one landing himself in the hospital (no exercise, poor diet, fast food, mixing naturopathic with pharmaceuticals, etc)

I thought the nurses and staff were great but I have never been here only for a checkup.

My father-in-law, who has advanced diabetes, was in ER very recently with a staph infection on his foot was seen and treated very promptly. A few days later, he received a call from the ER doctor checking to see how he was, and to confirm any other follow-up, including the home care the ER had arranged (which started the next day). Thank you to the very dedicated doctor, and the whole ER team.

Where to begin. Nurses that don’t care, or a place where when the doctor wanted to wash his hands he didn’t have soap (this is in emergency room and during the pandemic). I have always said I am sure there are some good nurses out there but not in this hospital, if one could call it that

No problems! Thank you for being there!
They are growing again and I wish them every blessing in the New Year!

I will say this is a review of the emerg experience, as I know that departments can be drastically different. I was here beginning of 2020 experiencing a miscarriage. I didn't know what was going on, the pain was intense, and my husband and I were left in the waiting room for about 4 hours while the pain just got worse and worse. It got bad enough that sitting hurt more than standing, my hands were going numb cause I was hyperventilating, and it was so frustrating watching others be brought in before me when they seemed not to be in immediate danger or pain. I understand that if they suspected that it was a miscarriage, then they know they can't do anything to stop it, but I definitely felt very ignored and the whole ordeal was beyond terrifying and stressful. I was basically convinced I was dying (in denial about what may have actually been happening), and when I FINALLY was called out of the waiting room, it was just to get blood work done and then I was told I had to go back to the waiting room again. That's when I felt a gush of water and the bleeding started, my husband hurried to tell someone and we were told that we still just had to go to the waiting room. Nurse gave me pads and underwear and just sent me back, where we waited another 3-4 hours. At one point I bled through two pads, went to ask for more, to which the response was 'oh, you're still bleeding? '. Ummm. Yes? It was a nightmare of a night before we finally got an ultrasound to confirm what had happened, and it wasn't made better with the way that the nurses seemed very apathetic and there was nothing done to try and ease pain or discomfort.

This hospital has been a lifesaver for me. I suffer from horrible migraines since I was a baby. When I get them the pain is so bad I can’t talk I can’t see I’m vomiting everywhere. The nurses are so kind a lot of them understand what and how I’m feeling either because they suffer or they have family who suffer. The doctors want me to get treatment fast. They are wonderful here. Not only for emergencies but I had 2 of my children here and the experience was beautiful the nurses were caring and loving️thank you for working through such a horrible pandemic I appreciate all you do for everyone?
