The Portuguese tarts are excellent. Always a nice place to stop for a drink, snack, or ice cream.

I've been working in Burlington now for about a year and a half, and it's only today that I made my way to the lake and visited this coffeehouse.
It came highly recommended from a good friend, and he wasn't joking!
I ordered a small Costa Rican coffee and a chunk of carrot cake. The barista was great, offering to put whipped cream and caramel drizzle on top of the cake! I've been to many, many cafes and this was a first! I said "Yes, I'd prefer it if you did! "
The coffee and carrot cake came to $7.77 with tax. I just HAD to take a photo of my total and explained to the barista that 7 was my lucky number, which made him laugh!
There's a patio outside with about 8 tables. I sat at one and enjoyed my food and drink - delicious!
A true gem by the waterfront and I know I'll be back!

The owner acted cheap and was rude to her staff and to us. I asked an employee if it was possible to have my ice in a separate cup (instead of having it in my lemonade). The owner appeared out of nowhere talking over me and her staff, acting like I was trying to rob her of 9 cents worth of lemonade. She told me '' just buy 2 lemonades or don't buy any'' in front of other customers. It was so embarrassing. We bought pastry, a lemonade and coffee, all we wanted was the ice to be in a separate cup as we were planning to stay a while on the patio (hot day) and as I have gum sensitivities. She stopped her employees from giving me ice. I was speechless. A simple no would have been more professional. We spoke with other clients afterwards and we just all laughed at how cheap the owner looked. Otherwise, great location and the other employees had a great energy. You know, it's just water, it's just ice! On a hot day. Very surprised!

Great location wasted on an owner who clearly doesn't know anything about what he's serving and has 0 customer service experience. Just because you can own a business doesn't mean you should. I give the location less than 2 more years before it's got to close its doors. Coffee somehow tastes stale even though it's poured from some all in one machine, staff seem miserable, pastries look dried up and old. Everything is overly priced, and it is probably to pay for the coffee machine.

Ordered one black iced Americano and one dirty chai latte. Worst coffee I've had. The espresso was poured right over the ice and water added. Not shaken at all, and iced coffee should be shaken and strained over fresh ice. The dirty chai latte is not terrible but mostly syrup. It was $16 with tip for two coffees. Waste of money! Do not recommend

You have no idea what you are talking about sir, even your staff said that you tell them not to shake, which is ridiculous. I am a barista in Toronto and that is how EVERYONE does it. Your business should be boycotted because your staff looks miserable because you're probably a really delusional boss. Good luck in life

Great atmosphere, nice music, great location (close to the lakeshore)! But the vanilla chai tea latte had a strong taste of the syrup, and the pastries were mediocre… The scone was too soft in my opinion, the almond croissant was alright.

The coffee house has a cosy environment. If you want sweet coffee without sugar you can try vanilla latte. Latte was also good. You can try this place.

We stumbled upon this place as we were looking for a coffee shop. Didn’t even know this place was here.
We grabbed a couple of coffees and some baked goods; croissant and a muffin. Both were excellent.
When we went there, there was a line up, with one person behind the counter helping.
The service was pleasant. The cafe is very clean, everything is self service, order and find a place to sit.

Beautiful place to spend time with your family and friends. The owner is friendly and kind. The interior is different as it is not luxury or modern, but it is cozy and calming.

Only had coffee but this is a nice coffee stop. Coffee is delicious and the food did look really yummy.

My husband and I dropped by while riding our bikes The desserts here are so tempting. Portion sizes bigger. I had a mocha and my husband had a cookie and tea. The mocha was really good. Not like a canteen type taste to it freshly made. I would definitely come back

It's a quaint little cafe, great vibe at this place. However the food and coffee is okay. The coffee is directly from the coffee machine, maybe that's why it was okay. Croissant was okay too. However the sandwiches are good because they make it fresh.

Their baked goods! Wowww so amazing this place tasted as delicious as it looks. Would recommend coming early and having everything right when it's freshly made! My soul feels very happy. And they have many latte options as well!

Great location. Friendly customer service. However, it cost me $32 for 2 breakfast sandwiches, an iced tea, and a hot chocolate. The drinks were fine but not great and the sandwich was completely underwhelming.

I wasn't feeling welcome. A guy just pushed me away. Place was empty.
After I got coffee, guy told me about their policies, I got a small cake from the ribfest and wanted a coffee. Guess what?
Guy proffered to refund me instead of allowing me to stay.

Asked for a latte, charged me 5$ for a coffee done with an automatic machine, it taste like burning water and milk.but no coffee.

If I could give it zero I 100% would. The very first shop to appear on the search, great reviews and super close to our current location, sure let’s do it. Coming in, asked if we could sit inside, clearly they had the patio. We were told we could eat and drink our coffee inside. Perfect! We bought our coffees, and after purchasing an older man comes very rudely to say we had to leave and couldn’t eat or drink our coffee. Far from that, at such a prime location, during a rainy day at the rib fest, there was two customers in all the facility. They ensured to waste coffee, lose money and lose customers.
It’s like I was so ready to let everyone know how friendly and understanding the staff were and within 5 minutes I could only wish that lakeshore coffee house was closed on a rainy day on Sunday. With that being said, let me refer you all to Tamp coffee company, perfect environment, friendly staff and let me tell you that my funnel cake went very nice with the vanilla latte.

You poor written response and zero engagement to the original post goes to show how little experience you have with people and customer service. People have left 1-2 star reviews not based on your food or coffee but your poor treatment and zero relationship to ensure you have returning customers.
My success is not influenced by you, so I don’t understand where in your closed mind that has anything to do with this. Unlike others I do not wish to go out of business but so that you realize that there’s more to this world than you coming to this beautiful country, leaving behind things you did not agree with (as did I) to come to a welcoming country. Sad to see that you lack that perspective in life.
Needless to say, you don’t care about your customers more so to sell and sell and even lose $7 - $10 dollars as opposed to gain service and people who appreciate good small connection and cozy like vibes.

The other reviews were right.rude staff here when I went in. They also argue with you.maybe take a hint when there are multiple reports of this. This is a local business not worthy of supporting. Just hostility all around.

This place is trash. You wait forever with everybody standing around doing nothing, ring everything through like it’s their first time taking an order, and then you wait forever to get the order, and then the order is wrong. Avoid. Asked for cream cheese for my five year old son and they finally got sliced cheese and made him cry.

Hmm, to be honest, from one side the coffee and ice cream were good, BUT! From other side we felt like waited forever for them to place our order because one girl was serving clients while other two were doing nothing. I know nobody liked to get bad rewievs, but sorry it was our experience in that particular coffe shop, so It is what it is

Today was my first visit to this coffee house. I got a caramel macchiato with soya milk - it is better tasting than the same drink at the big chain coffee houses. The server/cashier is polite. The place is clean.

My favorite coffee shop in Burlington, has the best lattes my favorite are the salted caramel and vanilla iced lattes, coffee, they have fresh pastries everyday and ice-cream, the staff and owners are also very friendly.

Always a wonderful experience. Great place for coffee and small bites (bagels and such), good tea and cider option too.

Such a cute morning coffee spot if you want to try fun flavoured coffee with friends, on a date, or relax on the adorable patio! Little pricey but it is also right on lakeshore with a great view of the water! Whenever I have friends over I love this spot:)

There’s old lady here who are very rude. Not a cyclist friendly either. Obviously I didn’t see the tiny sign so i tried to take my bike over the curb, she yelled at me so backed off and apologized. But she continued to be rude. Even the other people who were sitting outside told me no one would have noticed the sign because it was small.

I do not recommend this. Just look at the way she responds to 1 star reviewer here. Very rude.

Unfriendly and arrogant staff. I dropped in and asked for a washroom, they said they didn’t have a public one. The problem solved when I suggested to make an order. Go away from here, there’s no place for discrimination of any kind in this country

I used to come here often for the turkey blt sandwich and the coffee but not sure if the owner had changed as they now do “hot sandwiches” which sounded nice but to my disappointment, the hot sandwich came in a burger bun with cheap orange cheddar cheese and super salty turkey ham. It was nothing like what I had before at this establishment. It felt very cheap and underwhelming I had to throw it away after one bite…The coffee was alright but it came 3/4 full and I ordered a latte not a cappuccino. Wish they filled it all the way up. So ya we are assuming it’s a new owner or something. Just disappointed. The patio is very nice so it’s a great spot to just sit and have a coffee but keep your expectations low for the sandwich.

Update: The owner response is very hostile and unprofessional when I mentioned burger buns but mam.they were 100% burger buns. I wish I had taken a photo to prove it to you lol. It was Sprinkled with sesame and was NOT bagel. It reminded me of hot lunch in middle school thrown in a paper bag when we said we were eating in patio. That was the quality and that is an undeniable FACT. I am not making up stories why would I do that? This used to be one of my fav spot but clearly its taken over by completely different ppl.: (sad.

Liquids are OK but tastes off (mimic Starbucks blends) and $$$$$. Sandwiches are bland and super $$$$$. Need to rob a bank to eat here. Dogs everywhere on the patio shared with shawarma neighbor and rarely cleaned.

First time visiter, I got a scone, Italian classic sandwich and honey lavender latte. Everything was SO good that I said "OMG" when I tried each item. Coffee was great, the scone was probably the best I've had. And deli sandwich is mouthwatering, gonna be something I crave from now on! Bonus cause they have soy milk.

Always my downtown go to spot. Simple, cozy, friendly. A perfect place on the Lakeshore to chill after your walk by the lake.

Bad service nothing like before. Coffee is horrible. Even Tim Horton's tastes like heaven compared to this filth.

Not recommended. Not kid friendly. Coffee tasted horrible too. Bought 3 coffees from here and just got ice cream next door. Sitting on patio, owner went out of her way to say she doesn't appreciate outside ice cream for the children. It was completely empty, no crowd. Lots of open spots in the patio. Won't ever go back and don't suggest anyone else go here either.

UPDATE after owner reply: We bought coffees from this place and just had kids have some ice cream from next door. Completely irrational response and as much as I like to support local businesses this one is destined to fail with an arrogant owner who does not care for its own patrons.

Good coffee, but too much focus on Starbucks-like concoctions (toasted marshmallow cream latte, anyone?) Be warned that icecream portion are humongous (but very tasty). Patio directly on busy street is not ideal, but they had no other place.

Ordered a Salted Caramel Latte and it was. Price was reasonable as well. It was extremely sweet but I guess that's the Caramel, not the making really. Seemed pretty busy, took a while, but it was a nice sunny Weekend and everyone was out, so can't blame them either.

They have a big variety of quick breakfast sandwiches that are delicious. The coffee is good. I didn't expect their latte to be good seeing it was from an automatic machine but it was tasty.

Lovely little cafe with decent coffee and ample outdoor seating. Will look forward to returning soon.

Great coffee. Super helpful staff! Must try. Just across the street the the lake and pier. Lots of seating outside or on a bench by the lake. Expresso is excellent.

I found the espresso machine-produced coffee (americano) rather bland. Either barista training, coffee beans (when they were roasted), don't know. Gelato was fine.

I had a perfect Iced Cap at the Lakeshore Coffee House in Burlington and am glad I discovered this place:) V friendly staff, great coffee and great ambience too! I will give them 10/10.

Looove this place and come here regularly - the patio is great spot to work while enjoying a coffee and breakfast (although they don’t have wifi).

Good size. Big menu for a coffee shop. Very accommodating staff. The coffee was lovely. Great view. Take a friend for a walk in the park and stop here. It's worth it.

Nice and cozy coffee shop in downtown Burlington. Went there for some breakfast before heading to Hamilton. Ordered a medium chai latte and an avocado and chicken panini. Chai latte was good and the panini was tasty, however it was too small portion. Overall, nice coffee shop to grab a quick bite.

Stopped in with my boyfriend on a cold day to get something hot to warm up. The inside was quaint and cozy with a nice view of the water. There was a surprisingly large selection of drink options. I felt a little rushed while we were being served at the counter, but overall would visit again.

I went here with my partner a couple of years ago. Their coffee is average same with the food, but homemade feel to it. The place is cozy and they can be busy. Nice people works here. Not 5 stars because I am a coffee person, and I feel like this is just an average coffee shop. They should make their own signature drinks. People would love that.

Came here to get a nice latte before going to the lake and the latte was disappointing and tasted bitter. Paid $6.70 for a below average latte. Lady working was not welcoming or friendly. I asked her to make nice coffee art on the top like the picture on the menu and she just ignored my request. Do not recommend.

This coffee shop is super cute on the inside, and is in a great location to get a coffee or an ice cream before or after you go to the lake. I didn't love their coffee, and the iced chai I had was basically all foam for $5, so I wouldn't specifically come here for their drinks.

Had a very nice latte with friends. Hot and tastey with a biscotti. A nice variety of seating conducive to conversation. The staff are friendly, you should go here.

Coming from a small town, I often find it difficult to feel truly comfortable in the upscale cafes you generally see around these parts. Lakeshore though. Lakeshore feels like those small town coffee shops that you see in movies. The staff are all incredibly kind, they gush about their drinks and meals as they all truly love what they serve. The drinks are delicious and the upstairs seating is so cozy. Its a taste of community that I'm happy to have tried for myself and I would recommend to anyone.
