Absolutely ridiculous prices. I know prices have gone up everywhere but this store is insanely high priced.save yourself the hassle and go to no frills 10 min walk away. 3 stars for cleanliness tho

Very rude store manager, didn’t let me in with my service dog! When asked for ID he didn’t have one! My one year experience with this place always higher prices lower quality and now rude attitude! Never shop here again

Don't buy anything from the Lakeshore location. I bought meat and chips recently and they made me sick for 4 days like throwing up

Like others have said, the little bald man who seems to be the manager is very rude. He stares at you while you check ingredients as if you are going to steal. I have been rudely confronted by him and only return because the cashiers are very friendly. Prices are too high and there is a small product selection, this place will just have to do when you’re in a pinch.

I would like to share my experience of going and buying 2 products at this grocery store, where I cashed out on their little scanners and was accosted by the boss thinking that I did not pay and directed me back over to the machine to show the machine just shows a receipt only to know that I had already paid, I felt Stereotypes that I was stealing stuff and I certainly wasn't and I would like to say that the bald boss needs a new job because he doesn't do his job very goodI would not recommend going to the store as they stand there and watch you thinking that you're stealing everything.

Haven't been to Value Mart in a while. Got there to find out, it's called Independent store now. They moved a few things around, but pretty much the same layout. Prices were pretty fair. I guess I will be shopping here more, since no frills shelves have been pretty empty. Come and try the store out!

Good value for money. Plenty of options, flyers updated every week. Plenty of discounts and offers with PC optimum cards.

This is my neighborhood grocery, it's clean, convenient, the staff are always so freindly.

Very convenient location. Clean and well organized. Has very good stalk.
Not crowded. Expensive, although it has nice sales on meat.

Lakeshore Valu-mart is our go to grocery store for weekly shopping. Staff is always friendly and helpful and we always find what we need.

Its a clean small grocery store.
The chicken barbecue is really delicious and good price.

Smaller grocery type version of Loblaws. Wasn't able to find all of what I needed but it was okay.

I am a loyal customer of this store I love the welcome of the cashiers but this Friday morning at 9: 30 am the cashier was really not nice or welcoming I am a little disappointed because I love this store

Not the biggest selection but there isn't a Loblaws near by. I don't always get everything on my list but go because it's convenient.

Online says close @ 9pm. Whent to to the store @ 8pm and women was standing at door saying they were closed.

I appreciate the old school vibe this place has. They bag your groceries for you and just seem to get it. Great service, prices and selection

This particular Valu-Mart is on both the smaller and pricier side but the negatives begin and end there. I've been shopping here for over 5 years now and the expiration dates are always correct, items are felatively easy to find in store, and the staff (who in my opinion are what give this particular grocery store its stars and warrants 5 if graded on them alone) are superb! They are friendly and helpful wherever they can be. They recognize repeat customers and are most often up for a chat if you are!

I am just always surprised how they have everything I need and in such a small store.and always it seems like the same but passionate team.

I just adopted a cat, I bought a few flavors of cat food. My cat chose the pc brand. I went back to get more the shelf was empty. I've called around and searched. No pc tuna and chicken anywhere. I am desperate called the manager where I found food and told him my cat won't eat and I can't find the flavor she likes. Can you order me a case I will pay for it. Nothing changed on the shelf. So stressed trying to find food my cat will eat. Manager won't help.

This grocery store has a small town vibe to it. The staff are great! A little pricey, but the produce and goods are good quality.

Very clean supermarket, with great variety of products. The owner of the store pays a lot of attention to the freshness of the product. Always satisfied, 5 stars!

O stars. I went this evening and produce overpriced and sub-par. Needs new management. They are price gouging.

Hassle-free shopping. Hand sanitizer conveniently placed for the benefit of shoppers. Traffic in and out was brisk, hence not a lot of waiting around. Bonus? Fresh merchandise!

Good store with okay selection, a great staff as usual with valu-mart stores in my experience.
Only drawback is pricing consistently rises above similar stores.
So not the place you may want to make a significant grocery run at.

Have always found the man who appears to manager this store to be so friendly and welcoming, and accommodating to customers. Too bad his employees do not share the same customer service attitude.
Store Hours indicate open until 7Pm, yet today "Alice" and another woman (blonde) and miserable indicated the store closes at 6: 45pm.

Realize it is Friday night, however if your hours of operation indicate a closing hour of 7pm than honour that time. It is always amazing to see people abuse their "manager" duties when the real manager is not on duty

This is such a high potential store, with a lot of changes. First things first the staff is rude arrogant and just an all around unpleasant, which means the customer service is not ever available.

Over priced for this area. There was no valu at valu mart would never go back. Dirty and old inside. No frills is way better. Nicer staff and better prices.

Lakeshore valumart is just an awful store. I heard that lineups are very short so i decided to go today. I had my personal cart. The security guard was nasty. She pointed at me and made a gesture to leave my cart there. I didn't want to touch the baskets but no choice, there was no one there to disinfect them. If they're afraid of theft then have a security guard inside the store walking around or loss and prevention staff, floor walkers. I was so mad. How do I know if anyone sneezed or coughed on my cart? This wasn't very smart, the security guard wasn't thinking either. Anyway, beware of this store, short line ups because of many reasons.

Just the average grocery store. They have a baked goods section, with no packaging.normal selection, but missing a few international things like curry paste. The checkout conveyors are pretty small.

Fruits and veggies are not the best quality, meat doesn't look great either. Milk isle smells like rotten cheese for the past 2 years, I don't go there often but when I do I usually buy packed food that I can't locate at my No Frills.

I was employed here. When I quit the managers became vulgar and verbally abusive! Contacting the labour board to inform them of how they treat people and gloat that I can’t do anything about the way they treated me! Unbelievable how these people are managers.

Very good store. It's a little small, so some selection might be lacking. Overall it's a very good store. The staff is great as well.

Prices is not that much lower than metro or Sobeys in terms of quality is a bit lower quality, great helping staffs and graet management.

I can't buy food in a store that is drenched in super cheap antibacterial/hand sanitizer. I bought a great steak from this store but it tasted like it had been marinated in petrochemical based product. REVOLTING AND DISRESPECTFUL TO THE CUSTOMERS

I have been shocked when I go through the cash out and pay less than I expected, and this has happened. I've liked all I've bought from here, and the staff is great.
Their food cafeteria thing is nit bad either, I had good wedges!

Cluttered. But close to home. Very expensive hardly has sales. Some of the workers are okay but there is one at the deli who no matter what will always say they do not have the stuff to make chicken sandwich meals witch they have for 5$ there. And this happens everytime no matter what I called and she said no they did not have the stuff I went there the next morning as soon as they opened almost and all of the sudden they have the ingredients I am very displeased with the service she provides and someone in there staff should handle it because they are losing money and business.

I've been wanting to review this valu-mart since I now visit it more! I really love the amount of selection here as well as the quality of meat. My husband and I found that the prices are really good and we even got two pork loins for only $5. An excellent sale and we are really enjoying them! I'm really happy that they included sandwiches for lunch easy take away. For only $3.99 you can get a very good size sandwich. I'm really happy for the lunch selection as well as the hot bar.their chicken dinner is very good and I would highly recommend it I would even go as far as saying that is better than Metro take away chicken! Also the price very good.everything else is in pretty good order they don't have a huge selection here but they have usually something of pretty much everything. I have yet to try the calorie free mayonnaise I saw here. Hmmm. Sorry! Anyways yes! Good spot. Small mention of the staff for the most part I have met with really nice people here so no mean cashier's. People who work in stock seem to work very hard so kudos to them!

Had a quick peak in this Valu Mart grocery store once and, it appears it is a bit rundown. But, for people in the area, it is a very conveniently located location in the heart of Mimico. It also just so happens that the place is a bit more expensive than other grocery store opitions in the area.

Convenient but way overpriced In addition, as others have mentioned, staff are incredibly rude. Staff member (older lady with red hair) will not acknowledge you at all and makes it seem like she is doing you a favour for being there. Other older staff members are also clearly miserable working there. Management should address this with internal support of some sort or customer service training.
