Lakeside Park Beach

Lovely sand beach. Parking is now 3$/hrs though so I'd imagine it's why it wasn't busy

Good beach with amenities, like washrooms. Lots of trees to sit on the shade. Water is very shallow. Perfect for children.

The only downside is there's a maximum of 3 hours parking ($3 per hour). What do you do after 3 hours? Do you need to leave? Next time I'm there I'll ask the parking enforcement officer. (they always seem to be around).
I actually paid for 2 hours. Then I tried to get another 2 and it only allowed me 3 total hours.
So I left after 3 hours. Not impressed by that time limit because it's a beautiful & peaceful place and wanted to stay longer.

I would have rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for the parking time limit.

The clean up the city has done is a 100% improvement over what was there before. Clean Sandy Beach with a new boardwalk. Huge picnic pavilion and a shelter for musical groups. And of course, the marvelous carousel still going. It was a treat to spend the day there.

Small Beach but clean and lots of shade. Lots to do in the area water is perfect for kids and adults.
Parking on municipal lot is $3 an hour maxes out at 3 hours so have to re-up every 3 hours but it’s not a far walk.

One of my favourite places in the region. Ample parking, and connected to several great spots to eat, drink, and be merry. Great for kids, as there’s a merry go round (one of the first in Canada!) and playground equipment. Beaches are often used for volley ball.

Driving through the area I wanted to take my young boys (2 and 4) to a park to play. What an absolute surprise this place was. A beautiful beach on Lake Ontario, great park space, newer playground and best of all a century old beautiful carousal! A must stop for anyone visiting or who lives here. Only downside, $3 an hour for parking.but worth it!

Beaufitul beach that is well maintained. The carousel is a nice experience and Iove the way they have kept the history of the desrination preserved.

Sur semaine. Assez calme. Stationnement à 3$ / heure max 3 heures. Très beau sable. Des arbres donnent de l'ombre. Eau avec un peu d'algues sur le bord.

This will always be a favourite beach! We love to come here … there are lots of mature trees for shade in the park area, ice cream, and lots of parking. We still always ride the carousel. Feels like home!

Very nice well maintained beach with plenty (albeit not free) parking. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, coffee etc.

Sit on the beach, in shade under the trees or stroll down the pierce. Clean washrooms, dog friendly, checks all the boxes.

Very clean beach, beware of the parking police. Not worth getting a ticket. Overall a great day.

This is a beautiful Lakeside Park with two nicely coloured light houses, and a very long walkway that takes you quite far into Lake Ontario. It does have a beautiful beach if you’re into swimming in the lake or tanning and also has an ice cream place where we could get really good ice cream.
It also has a huge seating area that is also shaded and suitable if you want to have something to eat and be protected from the sun. The lake, the marina and the lighthouses make it a nice and picturesque place. You’ll enjoy it if you visit in a warm day!

Je n’ai pas compris le 4.8 offert pour cette plage… peut-être avons-nous été malchanceux? L’eau était très froide et il y avait énormément d’algues.
Par contre, l’accès est gratuite et la plage propre. Seulement, le stationnement est payant pour un maximum de 9$

Amazing weather. Nice walk along a flat breakwater with a great view of the lake. Ice cream. Best part was the old carousel!

Definitely not the ocean but a decent small beach. Nice restroom/changing facility. Parking $6.35 for 2 hours

Was there for a couple of hours the other day.enjoyed my time there. You can't really say much about a beach and a park. I like the fact that I got there fairly early so the beach had been recently combed so there's no junk and debris in the way the section where all the children was full they were having a loads of fun the far end with the volleyball posts was still more or less empty. Yeah on a clear day you can see Toronto if you look straight Dead Ahead

Great views of Lake Ontario and beachfront. Good for adults and kids and great for picnics. Loses a star because wonky parking meters don’t deliver receipts; so, you’re unsure if your payment has been processed. These need to be fixed!
