Thank you for an amazing birthday celebration for my wife this evening, we shared the seafood platter for 2 and everything was on point. The presentation was excellent and the flavors were amazing. What made it really special was our server Jenny who was very attentive and a true pleasure to deal with. We’ll be back for sure!
We have visited this restaurant several times over the past few years and have never been disappointed with the service or the quality of the food which is always beautifully presented.
Great service and atmosphere. Had the fall licous price fixe menu and my partner had the tenderloin. Food presetation was beautiful but the flavour was just ok, with my snapper being too salty and my drink too sweet. Flavours weren't well balanced. Dessert (pear trifle) was the redeeming feature and it was not too sweet and various plesant textures. The robotic host was kinda cute and unique.
This place is a GEM! We visited to try the fallicious menu. It was amazing. Our server Jenny was amazing. Best time ever. Will definitely be back soon.
Amazing meal and atmosphere! The fallicious menu package was outstanding! Would highly recommend to go here! One of the best meals I have had this year for sure!
My family and I frequently visit Lakeside as one of our favourite places to dine. Amazing food and ALWAYS friendly staff. Highly recommend for both tourists and locals.
Very expensive with no WOH factor, just go to compatible and better restaurant and you will pay half the price. Steak 10 oz was $70 same cut steak at Montana is $35. Will never dine at this place.
We had a wonderful dinner. Oysters, Calamari, Caesar Salad, Mussels and the Surf and Turf. Brad our server was absolutely fabulous. Thank you for a wonderful night.
On a weekend getaway with my daughter. Had brunch here price for this was fair & food was good. Just wish the service matched the food.server was slow despite restaurant being fairly empty & proceeded to remind me about tipping expectations upon payment. I am happy to tip appropriate to service quality, however, do not appreciate being told how much tip is expected.
Hello everyone, first time going to this fancy restaurant, went with my wife for our anniversary, my wife ordered the pork tomahawk meal, looked good and she was happy. I ordered the ribeye steak with a lobster tail. I would have to say I was in shock when I got my dish, the steak cut was horrible, it was 98% cooked on one side, seasoning was all over the place, lobster tail was rubbery and over cooked. Veggies and mashed potatoes were very good.what upset me the most was this meal was $93.00 I was honestly better off eating at my own place with a way better cut steak, I understand the food inflation has gone up but for the price of the meal and for the cut of the steak and how it was cooked, they shouldn't have this on the menu.thank God I didn't order the tomahawk steak or I would have probably been really upset. Hope you guys have a better experience than I have because I don't think I would never go back again. Thank you
Food here was amazing. Ambiance is great too. Shout out to the red haired waitress that was so nice making my elderly parents feel comfortable by getting us an umbrella. Her service was top notch. I would come back here any time!
Our waitress was amazing, friendly, without being pushy, helpful with all our questions. My hubby's dinner (steak) was good, but mine Cajun shrimp was so bland I just couldn't finish it. The lobster was good. The wine we wanted was out of stock, but the waitress did recommend a fairly decent (cheaper) substitute. All in all, an ok experience, but expensive for not being able to finish it.
Disappointed with the service we receive at this restaurant. My sister made a reservation and was on the waitlist and when we got there the person in front said there were no tables available even though the restaurant was full of empty tables. The person at the front didn't bother taking my sisters name and info down to check the reservation. After 20 mins my sister gets a call from the restaurant asking if she's still showing up for the reservation. Why? Maybe because the name on the reservation was a typical white name and POC showed up for the reservation.
The appetizers we ordered was okay, the mussels had sand in it so it wasn't properly washed to get rid of the sand.
Had dinner & brunch at Lakeside during our stay at Living Waters Resort over this past Labour Day weekend. Our experience would get 5 stars for the ambience, the view and the service (the nice young lady who greeted us that first evening; our wonderful server Jennifer as well, who was the epitome of customer service with a smile. If we do come back I would personally request a table in her section again. Our server for brunch was Joe. He was equally as nice and friendly - no complaints). I'm taking 2 stars off though, for the young man (long hair, bleach blonde) working with the friendly greeter at the front. He had a bit of an attitude and handed us very DIRTY crumpled up paper menus! Not impressed. I'm also in agreement with a few other reviews about the bland food. We ordered the Halibut & the Cajun shrimp pasta. For dessert - the carrot cake & crème brule. The desserts were amazing - but the halibut needed much more flavour, along with the pasta (perhaps having some salt and pepper on each table would be a good). Brunch was wonderful - the Crème brule French Toast is AMAZING and is a must have - along with the Breakfast skillet. All in all - a nice place but will likely try a few of the local eateries in town on our next visit. Again - kudo's to Jennifer, Joe and the friendly young lady greeter in the evenings.
Well very poor menu ANDvery pricey 4 spring rolls and Trout with chickpeas over 70 dollars After visiting the restaurant I had to go to pizza pizza continue my dinner We were sitting outside in the sun. More interesting was when I noticed My bill was over 137 dollars I couldn't see it clearly so we moved inside away from the sun Waitress started typing allover again and came up to 72 dollars Sorry I will definitely never go there again I think she tried to rip me off because I didn't see clearly how much it is. . Well that is my review as a customer not being satisfied And I clearly saw different amount outdoor and indoor for what I was charged for Good luck to the Waitress who introduced herself as Holly
This was my second time at the restaurant and I have to say I was disappointed. We were endinh our long weekend getaway thereand sincerely ruined our whole mood. We were being served by a lovely young man. Toward the end of our service, hr was tied up at the bar so we asked the waitress that was on the floor for 2 expressos. She replied very rudely, asking who was our waiter. She then came with only one coffee, no spoon. When we told her we asked for 2, she rolled her eyes and said she would tell our waiter. She decides not to bring the other expresso and to stay and the counter looking at us sideways and complaining to her other colleague that was there. If people don't like their job, they shouldn't be there. Fro. My years in serving, as long as customers aren't asking more than one person for the same thing there shouldn't be a problem in asking someone else. We have a baby and we're trying to hurry to leave for his nap and had to deal with waiter attitude instead of leaving. Won't be going there any time soon.
Decided to stop here after someone mentioned the great ambience. The inside of this restaurant is amazing, people were well dressed, it reminded me of being in Florida or the Caribbean at a resort. The patio has some great breeze and is nice. We ordered 2 burgers and ceviche. The burger was cold, not room temperature, but rather cold. Not sure how or why. It was under seasoned as well. Definitely not worth the price. I swapped the fries for a mini salad. When the bill came I was charged $6 for this miniature salad whereas I thought it was a swap for the fries. If I knew I would have just kept fries and bought a salad. My friend said the ceviche was just ok. Generally it is a very pricy place but I’m guessing ppl come here for ambience or are staying at the hotel. May only go again for a drink.
July 9. Went for anniversary. I ordered 6 oz red wine but billed for 9oz. Couldn’t finish my rib eye $70 Polluted with salt. Same at 2 tables to my right. Told the waitress but nothing was done called next day. Left message for manager But no return call. Not pleased! Still waiting to find out why my steak was rolled in salt. Same comments both tables to my right. Why was I charged for 9 oz wine when I had and ordered 6 oz. I should have sent steak back. But didn’t want to wait another 40 minutes. This restaurant is way overpriced for what you get. These comments will continue until I get a credi in my visa for the steak and wine! This food WOULDNT MEET ANYONES EXPECTATIONS!
One of my favourite soups is clam chowder, and I make sure to order one whenever a menu at a restaurant has it. Their clam chowder was phenomenal. At first, I wasn’t sure I would enjoy it as it had corn in it but it was so creamy and flavourful that I wish I had another bowl. It was the best clam chowder I’ve had thus far!
Fish menu was limited. I wanted to order fish and chips, but it was marinated in beer. They do not serve non-alcohol ingredient fish and chips that is not good for people have nonalcoholic diet. I wanted to order tuna, all tuna options were finished. Finally I ordered trout that was somehow tasty. Thai shrimp bowl was too bad, we could not eat. Waitress was bossy, and interfered my choices without asking. Later on she changed her unkind manner to a better one. Overall, I am not very satisfied with the service and quality.
