I have been a extremely pleased with my 5 years as a resident here in this bldg. It is quiet and always clean with the best management and tenants anyone could ask for.

This place just raised our rent WAY above the guidelines that's permitted in Ontario and it's become all too common of a pattern over here. Before Skyline Corporation took over these buildings, they were a terrific place to live. Staff and tenants were friendly, there was no over crowding and cutting corners due to attempting to reduce expenses and any work they have done has mostly been for exterior cosmetic purposes, meanwhile some units (including mine) has yet to be updated from the 1950's. There's many safety hazards and very unfortunately our rent has now been raised so far above the legal limit that it's going to effect whether many of us can even continue to afford to live here anymore and the public has a right to know about this situation! It's corruption on a whole other level and most tenants don't even know how to fight for their rights which became quite evident yesterday during the hearing that no one even remembered was taking place or how to try and stop them from doing this to us! For shame Skyline! How these people sleep at night, I will never know. I have attached a picture of the notice given to us that shows/proves what they are getting away with and also made sure to erase any potentially sensitive information in order to put this warning up for everyone so I truly hope that this horrible treatment will discontinue at some point in the future but as of right now, that does not seem to be the case. So unfortunate and sad for all residents who live here.

Moved into a 1 bedroom apartment during Covid. We told the superintendent Sharon that when we were eligible to move we'd really like to have a 2 bedroom unit. She said she'd put us on the waiting list. 9 months later we moved into a 2 bedroom unit. 20 months later to help out a family member struggling to pay their mortgage, we moved in with them. Skyline was never anything but good to us and we really were sad to leave. We would move back again should the opportunity arise.
