This is a fun course to play at and the course is in great condition. It is a private golf club and because I an an affiliated member at another golf course, I got to play at this beautiful course. Will definitely be back
It's great to have this golf course in the area. I'm both surprised and disappointed at a couple of churlish reviews I've read solely based on the essential groundskeeping and maintenance work that any golf course has to perform day in and day out. The negativity is specifically related to the noise created when clearing leaves. An activity that is both normal for a golf course and perfectly legal.
The average course in North America covers 150 acres. Almost 100 acres is covered in turf grass. Turf grass on a golf course serves as a filter for runoff to control flooding. Turf grass also filters dust and pollen. All golf course open green space provides a cooling effect for the surrounding property. The remaining 50 acres of a golf course are devoted to forests, woodlands and water bodies. Prime habitat for to support an abundance of wildlife.
Golf courses are a thing of beauty that have great value to a community. It's sad that a couple of disgruntled residents, who presumably did their homework before moving to the area, take advantage of all the benefits of having a beautiful green space nearby but whine about the efforts made by others to maintain it.
Was driving down Scarlett Road and was hit by a golf ball - cracked the windshield. I informed management and was told they weren't responsible because it didn't happen on their property. Thank goodness it didn't hit a pedestrian or cause an accident! It was bouncing in huge bounces down the road (like it had hit the road with great force and that's why it was bouncing so high). Seems quite dangerous to me, and a demonstrates a very disappointing lack of concern for their neighbours and the public.
I was rear ended and my car was pushed a couple of feet on st Clair ave west in April by an employee of Lambton. She was at fault She was driving without insurance and told me she had the money to cover the damage, I chose to report it I had to pay $300.00 to my insurance company because she was an uninsured driver I tried contacting her to ask her if she can reimburse me the $300.00 and she is just ignoring me just like she ignored my insurance mpany when they tried to get her to reimburse the total damage to my car, close to $3000 Is this the type of responsible employee you have on staff?
Great golf course. Well maintained and interesting to play. Had a delicious salad lunch on the lovely patio overlooking the 17th and 18th holes. Beautiful July day.
Beautiful location and very friendly staff. Very well manicured grounds and greens. The round is a little pricey but you can't beat the location. It's a mature course and is fairly challenging for the average player. Well laid out course and very picturesque.
