Lady at the front was extremely selfish.
Karen is a female dog

I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

Cheap park -No wifi

Disappointing experience
21 September 2023 2:16
The lady and man at the front think they are government workers or something.

The man was acting mr. Tough security guy being extremely rude and inconsiderate.

The man at the front tried to threaten me and wouldn’t let me in the park.

He gave me the finger as I was trying to leave respectfully.

Do not bring your family here.
12 September 2023 1:58
Absolutely ridiculous park!
DO NOT COME HERE!
Don’t recommend.

Drove 4 and half hours to come here, booked reservations. Ended up arriving late due to truck complications.

Had to park on the side of the road for the night without any place to sleep after I reserved and paid for my spot.

In the morning, Karen at the front desk wouldn’t let me in. After I was willing to pay and came in the morning like they have asked.

This park is filled with nonsense rules.
They turn the wifi on you at night due to them being cheap.

Absolutely horrible experience.

DO NOT COME HERE

There are only two (!) showers for the entire campground. Both operated by coin machines that don't work most of the time. Not a great experience at all.

The campground is located in a swampy area and there is a lot of mosquitoes even late in the summer.
14 August 2023 18:44
The hosts chose to reject our 10 minute late arrival and charged us the full weekend. My family experienced a fatal car accident on the way to camping at this location. We thought an exception may have been reasonable

We travelled 190km to Tobermory and it was well worth it. Not only was the site beautiful but so were the attractions in the area. We stayed in a regular serviced campsite for 7 days. Across from our site was a frog pond where we heard frogs croak every night! It was very lovely and cool to see, especially for kids! During the week the site was quiet and very well kept, there was no one camping in the sites near us during the weekdays so it was also very peaceful. We went mid June and tried to rent a canoe but was informed they do not have them open yet due to cold water. We weren’t really sure why the water temperature affected this, we also did not find the water cold at the beach as we did swim but we carried on. The park store was also a bit small but had most of the essentials needed to camp as well as a variety books and sports balls to borrow! This park came with a playground, a volleyball and soccer field, cabins, a beach just across the road and much more. It was approx $60/night in the busy season and I had a great time! Would definitely go again. (Be prepared for bears!)

Horrible experience. Don’t go here, overpriced for what you get, and rude and unprofessional staff. We arrived late on Friday and wanted to have a fire to cook dinner, but the fire pit had no grille. Had to go to an overpriced restaurant instead. As soon as the sun goes down you have to run for your life because the mosquitos are ravenous. You can’t stay out after dark unless you wear full-body netting. The following afternoon we were rudely spoken to by an older man who claimed he works at the park, we were so upset by the interaction that we decided to leave that instant. On our way out, we explained the situation and the lady at the front desk refused to refund us the second night. She was aware of the aggressive behaviour of the older man, didn’t apologize or take any responsibility, and spoke rudely and aggressively. If you like rules, being spied on, accosted verbally by belligerent staff, and made to feel completely uncomfortable, definitely stay here. If not, look elsewhere. Not a family or dog friendly park.

FYI. Make sure you book weeks in advance if you want to do anything in Tobermory, and expect to pay over $30 a day on parking to access the parks. Apparently you need to book months in advance to get on the ferry.
22 November 2022 9:35
Top notch campground that is managed by professional and friendly staff who genuinely want your stay to be wonderful.
So much thought and clever design in the campsite and grounds design.
As a loyal, life long provincial park user, I was blown away by this lovely gem.
28 October 2022 6:17
My spouse and I spent 2 nights here in a trailer we went with 2 others that stayed in a cabin " garden shed " there cabin hydro went out so no heat we called the office a few times I walked up to front to let them know they came out it was out at the box near by but by then the others were cold and damp because hydro was out over 6 hours so they plugged in a small heater that was in the cabin it was full of dirt smoked so they ended up leaving after one night and payed for 2 the park would not refund anything. Camp site are very close together but charge $100 a night for cabin no heat and mattress that was ripped up and screens with holes
No thank you
16 October 2022 13:54
Absolutely lovely! Very clean space and welcoming staff. Sites are smaller but I found this preserved the trees between campsites for more privacy and natural habitat (saw some rabbits!). Quiet hours allow you to hear loons at night, crystal clear. Dog and baby friendly!
13 October 2022 16:43
A great place to camp. This is a privately owned facility that has all that Algonquin has to offer, it's actually better seeing as Tobermory is only 2km away. Caravan sites are private and have electricity and water hook ups, for $20 the "honey wagon " will pump out your black and grey water for you or you can do it yourself for free when leaving. Kayaks, canoes, bikes are available to rent, a little beach on the lake is a nice place to read a book. We've been there twice and have booked for next year.
26 September 2022 11:47
Beautiful and lush surroundings.
Sites are immaculate.
The playground is the focal point for young ones. It has a pirate ship!
We love to watch the kids at the turtle and frog pond with their nets, smiles, and squeals.
They offer bicycles, canoes, kayaks, and a volleyball sand pit.
They have a sandy beach too.
Their camp store has those little things you forgot to pack, and some local crafts too.
Lands end is definitely a destination must!
21 September 2022 1:15
Nice friendly staff, plots a little small, washroom a little dirty, cobwebs, not been cleaned recently, shower controlled by pliers?
19 September 2022 5:45

15 September 2022 2:00
Love our summer camping and usually it would be a Provincial or National park but now we have find a private quiet campsite that doesn’t feel like a trailer park. Great hiking trail, beach, bike and boat rentals and only 2.5km from the lovely community of Tobermory
08 September 2022 8:09
Do not go to this camp! Staff will invade your campground at night and if you ask them to leave you get kicked out! They need to be put in there place. Cant see this excuse of a campground lasting long. Spend your money at any other campground in tobermory, I promise this is not the site for you.
03 September 2022 21:59
Poor Service, Poor Space area for customer and the think they are GOD just because it proved place.they are so racist.i'm telling you dont put your money in garbage.
21 July 2022 12:12
Endroit super beau. Le site a des services à l'exception des égouts. Très propre. Le personnel est super serviable. Un gros gros merci à Ron.
20 July 2022 9:17
My fiancé and I stayed at the park in the water front cabin (cabin for two) for my birthday and did not have the best experience. The park itself is very family oriented/quiet and the actual cabin was great (super clean and new) - but unfortunately the cabin is right in front of a dock where campers and staff like to come hang out all throughout the day and evening. There wasn't any privacy only if we stayed inside the cabin so we ended up leaving a day early as we felt uncomfortable the whole time.

Also the shower only takes quarters and they don't have any ATMs or a way to get cash at the office so you have to go into town to get coins to shower.

Overall service was nice and the actual cabin was great, but if you are looking for a place to relax the waterfront cabin is not for you.
19 October 2021 9:52
Prepare to drive in circles around their maze of poorly marked circular roads. What's with the liability waiver you have to sign to stay? That's what insurance is for, and with the high prices, and crammed in sites, you'd think there was plenty of profit to cover good insurance.
I can't insure myself against someone else's negligence. Be very wary staying here. If you're injured, this park won't care, and tries to make you take unreasonable risk by putting all the responsibility on you, even when they screw up.
Close to town but will not return. Drive a bit further and stay where the business takes responsibility for it's property and services.
11 October 2021 9:51
They definitely stress "family park" when you're here. I was here with two of my friends, playing board games in our tent after lights out time had a staff member come and tell us to keep it down. (we weren't loud but I get it, family park)

Not much to do on the campsite. You have to go elsewhere to do anything worthwhile.

If you're coming here with kids then I'd recommend it, but for adults just having fun you'd be better off looking elsewhere.
10 October 2021 1:03
We rented a cabin. It smelled of urine and I moved the bed to find a pile of garbage under it. We were situated directly across from another family. Little privacy.
08 October 2021 13:34
Great sites! Hiking trail was surprisingly long and interesting. Clean washrooms. Great location. Would definitely go back.
08 October 2021 12:12
Great campsite with all the amenities you will need! Sites are large and fairly spaced out for privacy. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Water stations throughout the park so you don’t need to walk far. Highly recommend!
05 October 2021 22:14
We lasted 5 minutes. Paid for a premium site. Barelyy fit my 21 foot trailer. On a hill with a drop and no fencing. My 3 yr old for sure would have tumbled down the hill. Fire pit was on a hill to. So when sitting your on an angle. Terrible service. Got a refund and went up the road. Found a much nicer Parc with great staff
28 September 2021 19:31
The red head at the front counter had an attitude problem and seemed to be on a bit of a power trip. We were denied renting a canoe on the nicest day because of the possibility of 20km winds. There wasn’t even a breeze. When we did rent a canoe we were only given 1hour. When speaking with other campers who rented canoes got 4 hours, felt discriminated against because we younger then everyone else camping and had no kids (28 years old). The park was nice but very strict, would not recommend if don’t go to bed at 9pm. No dogs or any alcohol on the overrated small beach FYI.
27 September 2021 8:02
Just spent 8 wonderful days at Lands End Park. It was our second trip to Tobermory in 4 years and we stayed here both times. The campground is gorgeous with a wide variety of sites (some very well manicured grassy sites with full hookups, as well as many that give more of a back-country/woodsy vibe). The facilities are kept VERY clean and the front office staff are super friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a pool look elsewhere, but their private beach across the road is very nice and clean. We'll certainly be back as soon as we have a chance!
15 September 2021 3:12
Loved our week at Land End! Gorgeous, clean campground, lots of trees providing shade and privacy, relaxed atmosphere with friendly people, lots to do like biking and kayaking. We really enjoyed kayaking into the Georgian Bay, stopping on a little island to pull our kayaks on so we could go for a swim in the clear refreshing water! Thanks for making our Lands End experience great!
14 September 2021 22:11
Great camping experience! Easy and COVID-safe check in - the owner was super friendly. Campsite was perfect and felt very private with the amount of trees in between and no other campsites in front or behind. We wished we had more time to explore and use the campground amenities. Will definitely book here again!
04 September 2021 19:02
Great little park
Roads are narrow and sites are tight would not recommend big trailers but great for small tent trailers and 20-25ft rv. Bathrooms are super clean. 1 shower in each bathroom cost 0.50 for 4 min. Very hot water. We had a bear walk through our site so do recommend putting food in cars. Great boat launch for kayaks. Biking distance to tobermory is 2.5km
Has a turtle and frog pond. Volleyball court, small playground. Small beach. Sites are very clean. Queit time is 11pm and it is dead silent at this hour. Has a dump station but its on a hill and is at back of the park. Sites are mostly gravel sites. Sites are close together so not much privacy if that is what u want. Great staff and would book again. We haď site M its a corner lot up on a hill. Great sunsets at singing sands
30 July 2021 22:31
Great park, horrible policies. We were told we would have to leave because the neighbors could hear the radio playing and even hear us talking though it was only 10 o'clock and we were playing scrabble Seriously this not a place to enjoy and relax. The sad part is that it could be a great park but the fear of even talking during a game of scrabble is too much. We will never be back.
24 July 2021 8:59
We just completed our first ever weekend camping at the park. I can't say enough great things about it. They take alot of pride in the cleanliness and organization of the park, all of the amenities are clean and in good repair. The park for the kids is alot of fun, along with the basketball net and a well stocked frog pond. The boat slips and great, and the beach is clean a d the waters brisk! This is all without mentioning being close enough to tobemory to be able to bike into town and avoid all of the parking and traffic issues! Will definitely be visiting again.
11 July 2021 16:55
Awesome little park, lots of trees and privacy. Pretty tight spaces for trailers at some sites. Nice and close to the town of Tobermory.

We just drove across Canada and stayed in parks from Ontario to BC and this park was 50% more expensive then any other we stayed in. Average price per night across Canada is $45/night with hookups taxes included.

That being said we would stay here again at Land's End Tobermory.
11 June 2021 16:09
Great park! Great owners! Park is situated right on the water with their own private beach! Always clean!
09 June 2021 7:38
Friendly, curtious quick response time. I still have to make the trip as I only reserved are cabin, so far so good.
06 January 2021 1:56
The park location is excellent, you can ride a bike (about 10 mins) to Tobermory (well I could anyway). They have bike and boat rentals on site. Sites are well maintained (raked out after every checkout) and level. Privacy varies from site to site, but generally is excellent. Check-in with COVID was well executed and simplified with a reservation. Washrooms were a little dated, but very clean and well maintained (Showers were closed due to COVID). Most major attractions (harbour front, nature trails) are close by. This is the park for those looking for peace and quiet, if your noisy, feel the need to yell at someone 2 feet away from you, and can't respect your neighbours, stay away. Stayed mid September. I want to stay here again if staying in Tobermory.
26 December 2020 11:49
Great camping location. Keep very clean. Private beach for just lands end customers perfect during covid. Sites are a little small when you have a lot of equipment.
14 December 2020 11:37
Anytime I'm camping in Tobermory I book here. They have sites available for anyone wanting 2 tents, a trailer pull through, more privacy etc and the staff is very friendly and accommodating with your needs if they aren't totally full. Beach access sites are also an option. The firewood bags sold here are huge. This park is also the closest one to the business section in town. The washroom/shower houses are not dirty which is fabulous. Go here.
03 November 2020 22:25
Was nice and well maintained, the campsites were spacious and the facilities were in pretty good shape. Only downside was our neighbours playing Hotel California way too loud on their radio about 30 times in the 2 days we were there.
02 November 2020 21:41
Very clean, well maintained, good space between sites. Ten minute bike ride to town. A rugged but doable walking trail on the grounds. Pet friendly. Will definitely go again!
11 March 2020 1:52
Had an amazing time here, was my first first time too tobermory went the first weekend and june.was a bit cold but still really worth it! Very nice owners, clean washrooms and shower areas. A decent wifi connection and an awesome location! I would recommend this place for both a weekend friend getaway and a family experience! Saw a rattlesnake on the trail they had there! Thing was huge but was cool to see!
26 November 2019 1:28
I want give Thousands Million stars to them. They are so patiently kindly help us to find my 8 year old cat back in that huge land. Thanks to them! And it's a very good campground strong recommend!
21 November 2019 0:08
Cute cabin on the waterfront. Beautiful views. Clean. Lacks some privacy as there is a common area right in front of the cabin. Over all a very lovely place to stay!
17 November 2019 11:31
Very nice park. Staff was friendly. Great to have hot showers. Only things we really didn't enjoy was the none private site it was almost like camping in our driveway (Site 39) If we go again we wouldn't book this site.
09 November 2019 20:45
Amazing campground. Great facilities including clean showers, kids play areas, soccer and beach volleyball, and easy access to the beach. Staff are very friendly.
02 November 2019 13:06
Campground with decent sites. Some privacy between for most sites and a really good atmosphere. Some sites are serviced with hydro and water. Bathrooms are decently clean with showers. Beach onto the lake where you can swim or rent canoes/kayaks.
Playground for the kids was a lifesaver as it kept them busy when cooking. Staff even organized a scavenger hunt for the kids.
Will return for sure.
31 October 2019 22:33
This campground is very well maintained with a very courteous staff.
The fire pit doesn't come with a grill, but they sell them at the camp registration office.
The washrooms were clean and spacious.
There are bike, canoe, and kayak rentals available at very reasonable rates.
All unserviced sites come with a picnic table and a fire pit.
Overall a good experience.
31 October 2019 21:49
Hands down the best park we’ve been to. Staff was nice and accommodating. Lots were much more private then others we’ve went to. Landscaping for the sites was great and layout was well thought out. Nice and close to town as well. Will definitely book here again!
17 October 2019 8:27
Great campsite. Most sites are pretty private. They have boat hire, canoe and kayaks. We took a Kayak which was great.
15 October 2019 21:44
Nice camping, clean and quiet but not enough showers and wifi is not working if you are too far from the office.
13 October 2019 1:04
Amazing camping experience all around. My wife and I have retreated here several times over the past couple years. The walking trail is scenic and fun. The hot showers are a nice bonus. The staff are friendly. And the sites are incredibly well thought out and cozy. Highly recommend.
12 October 2019 21:47
What a beautiful campground. Designed like a provincial Park with gorgeous tree cover. Our site had A gravel to park on kept tidy with railway tyes. As soon as we left a crew was arriving on site to rake and clean the site. Would definitely go back again.
12 October 2019 17:45
Absolutely amazing experience! Stunning park, private campsites, easy to navigate. Fun hiking trail with lots of activity sites- volleyball, soccer and kids park. Clean bathrooms with lots of mirrors and also super hot water for showers. Beautiful, rock-free beach just steps from the parks entrance. Saw lots of kids enjoying the creek catching frogs and turtles. Fun for the whole family. The staff was so friendly. Slept great considering it was colder than I thought it would be for August. 10/10 experience.
07 October 2019 2:14
Excellent, friendly staff, clean and you can see they take great care in their campground.campsite was spotless and ready for us.thanks so much for your hospitality.awesome.
10 September 2019 21:51
Loved it here! Beautiful campground. Scenic sites, well maintained and clean, and very quiet at night. LOVED the crushed stone camping pads!
26 August 2019 13:53
This is my second year I’ve been back and I would camp anywhere else in Tobermory. The booking was so easy, they email you almost immediately to let you know if the booking goes through and suggest similar dates if there’s something wrong. The check in took 2 minutes. We stayed in the waterfront cabin this year and we were impressed. There was a heater/fan, lots of outlets, the bed was very comfy, table and chairs, a mirror, screened window and lots of storage space under the bed. We specifically requested the waterfront cabin because it slept 2 people with a queen sized bed and we were only two people. The beach on the campground is gorgeous and clear, with a floating dock to climb on. The campground is the closest you can get to the downtown area. About 20 minute drive from Bruce peninsula park but that’s okay. We are having a lot of fun and I will always recommend this place to a friend. The security are not rude and it would only be an issue if there was loud drunk people. I’m here to enjoy the sound of nature and it’s beauty so it’s perfect for me.
24 August 2019 6:13
Beautiful quiet location close to everything in town.
Don't be scared off by the negative reviews.
Quiet time after 11pm wasn't a problem for us.
Campground was spotless including the bathrooms.
Wifi was weak at my site at the back of the park my site was #71.
My neighbour pulled out and not five minutes later the crew was there to clean and rake the site.
(even though the only trace of them was their tire tracks.)
Thanks to the staff who loaned us an electrical cable (that someone forgot at home).
Very impressed with everything about Lands End Park.
09 August 2019 10:04
We were a little apprehensive about staying here because of the reviews that complained about the strict rules (we have a large dog and at 11 months she's not perfectly behaved. Yet). Everyone seemed to be having a great time. The only contact with management is when wee checked in and out, when we saw them cleaning vacated sites/washrooms and when they kindly loaned is a 30 amp cable (forgot ours at home). This place is beautiful, well taken care of, and the management are very nice folks who are getting a bad rap for ensuring the rowdy ones don't spoil it for anyone else.
03 February 2019 19:32
Clean, family camping area. Incredibly well maintained. The staff were alwats really helpful with directions or suggestions. If a site got loud it was taken care of. Maybe some security would have been nice as people were leaving food openand on tables overnight, inviting wild life.
01 February 2019 22:27
If you want to camp like a refugee, be stacked in with no privacy on small lots, and listen to everyone's music blaring all day until 10pm, this is for you.
