We would like to thank you for the wonderful service we have been receiving during our stay. I would like to especially acknowledge Tyler and Nicole in the restaurant, Jason the Chef (best food in Canada), and two porters. I did not catch their names but we saw them on Wednesday and Thursday. One was a young gentleman and the other a young lady with long hair. They made our fires in the room and in the sitting areas. The lady brought us fresh teas after making our fire this evening. The piano players were wonderful, as were the maitre d'. We also sincerely appreciate the non-alcoholic cocktail and wine options, as they allowed us non-drinkers to participate in the dining and cuisine fully. Thank you for these options. Keep up the great work! Everything has been perfect. Please do us a favour and forward to ownership and management. See you again soon.

This place is just wow, so gorgeous. Love the fireplace dining, the menus are always great and the desserts are to die for. This is one favorite places to celebrate special occasions. Have never had a bad experience.

Went for lunch.very much as advertised. Eclectic and delicious food with superior world class service. Qmbiance second to none. You pay for the privilege, but you know that going in.

This rating is purely for the spa. I want to start out by saying that the actual spa service I received was wonderful. I got the body scrub and the entire experience was relaxing and my therapist was truly lovely. As for the spa rooms, they are very basic. No thought put into the decor or ambiance which was surprising. As for the jacuzzi and sauna, they are in a very small room where some patio tables were placed around. This is also where they serve Spa lunch. As you can imagine, the smell of chlorine is very strong and we actually had to step outside a few times because our eyes were hurting from just sitting at one of the tables. There was also a severe shortage of sitting areas in general here, so people were hoarding entire 6 person tables while going to get treatments upstairs while others had nowhere to relax. The jacuzzi also had a lot of hair in it several times, but it was cleaned only when we had asked. The women's change room was not appropriately stocked, and the blow dryer would only work for about 30 seconds at a time before shutting off. There was no staff coming to check in on the change rooms. While some of these details would go unnoticed at a cheaper/less 'prestigiously' marketed spa, they did not go unnoticed here. Overall disappointed and will not be returning to the spa.

We have dined in the dining room previously and the experience on that end was much much different - in fact, I highly recommend their dining!

I’ve been visiting here with my family on and off since I was young as well as visited recently for a work retreat where I truly had one of the most amazing fine dining experiences of my life! I will forever keep coming back and thoroughly enjoying my time spent at this beautiful place!

If You have never. You must try! Great History. Beautiful architecture. The grounds are breathtaking. Staff are the BEST!
31 January 2022 13:23
While the location is nice, a couple of things didn’t go as planned. Confirmation for the booker service itself was never sent, and that’s despite my calling them back asking about it. On the day of the service, what I thought was a 90-minute service was booked as a 60-minute service. Even within that service itself, the entire thing was rushed and was like more 45 minutes than anything else. Had some good hopes for this place but left disappointed by the lack of professionalism and courtesy. I left more confused than relaxed I would say.
16 January 2022 12:47
The restaurant was exquisite. We came here for lunch. I have a 9 year old, which occasionally makes things a bit difficult, but the staff was awesome and took excellent care of him. They also had a children's menu, which was helpful.

For us adults, the hard part is choosing what to eat. Everything sounds amazing! But we managed, and we were right, it was all amazing! Appetizers, mains, and desserts. We also enjoyed all of the non-alcoholic cocktails, of which there were four choices, and they obviously put thought and effort into crafting them. It was a treat.

So happy to have finally come here. We've been wanting to go for years, but we've been blocked from entering the country for a while due to the pandemic. Now that we've come, I feel like it'll become a tradition.

Langdon Hall has earned and deserves their excellent reputation. Lots of trails in the woods on the property, great upkeep, rooms are large and comfortable, fine dining. Professional staff - friendly not pretentious
12 January 2022 20:33
An unbelievable stay. The service is unmatched and the food is unlike any experience you will have in any Ontario hotel/lodging space. They have thought of every little detail, and it truly makes your experience unforgettable as a result. Thank you to the staff, and in particular Evan in dining, for such exceptional care.

Absolutely can't wait to return!

Dined here several times in the past, and I'm always blown away! But, I'm leaving this review because I had less than 1% battery remaining on my Tesla at 4am.and no adapter! It was pouring rain, and my car was dying in the lot. Vanessa and Anna were so kind and gracious in helping me find a solution - it felt like meeting two guardian angels in person! Their assistance saved me from being towed, and even if things hadn't worked out, their caring hearts made me feel so special and blessed. I'm so grateful for you guys, and I hope everyone supports Langdon Hall for being such an amazing pillar in the community!
25 December 2021 13:31
Visited the Spa to pick up facial products. I am a long time client of Langdon Hall and they are far superior to any other resort to the service and commitment of their craft. Will be back in November to resume my monthly facial regimen! Love this place.
24 December 2021 15:19
Beautiful hotel and setting but the pet friendly rooms are not very nice. They are off to the side, have the worst views of the property, badly decorated with terrible carpeting, and small. Why do hotels think that people traveling with a pet should stay in a sub par room? Not all guests are treated equally here.
19 December 2021 14:50
We definitely love this place and highly recommend it for a small getaway. The rooms in the main house have so much history, the grounds are stunning and complete with on property trails. Perhaps the best part for us is the carefully crafted delicious food. One of the best restaurants I've even at in Canada (and we go out a lot!).
05 December 2021 22:52
Perfect in every aspect! Meals were amazing. We had a room with a real wood burning fireplace! Spa was lovely, the grounds are breathtaking. Highly recommend for an exceptional experience that won't disappoint!

Staffs were great. However, some of the dishes were great and some were salty. Beautiful place the trail is amazing.

Everything here is amazing the food, service, property its ever so relaxing.if you've never been you have to come here.

I received an expensive gift card for a half day retreat at Langdon Hall Spa for my birthday. I called November 27th to book my spa retreat for my birthday, which is in a month and on a Monday (non guests of the Inn must book between Monday and Friday). The first question they ask when I call is if I am staying overnight. When I answered no, I was told they are booked for the next 8 weeks. Really? I'm not a second rate customer because I haven't booked a room, and I'm calling to book over 3 weeks ahead of time. I know if I would have answered yes to their question I would be booked in for the date requested without question. Be aware of this before spending big money up front on gift cards at this spa.

We hadn't been to Langdon Hall for many years and decided to book a night to celebrate our anniversary. It is a great property with the main building and rooms keeping its historic look and feel. The staff and service is at the top level as it should be for this class of real estate. The food at the restaurant were excellent but expect small portions. I suggest you book the package to include meals. Their wine list is extensive and should meet most palates.

We both had booked massages and agreed we had better experiences elsewhere although the service and amenities were great we felt the treatment did not justify the cost.

We were surprised at a few things, we had many dead flies in the room, we had a nice card on the bed mentioning the chocolates that they left for us however no chocolates were to be found and the evening cleaning staff removed our unfinished cocktails. When the above items were mentioned at the front desk all we were told was oh that's unfortunate. Most likely I assume this came from a junior employee still being trained.

Except for the few items above we did enjoy ourselves and do recommend the property.
20 November 2021 8:56
Was the most amazing meal I have had in years. Our server John was very attentive and catered to our every need. Room was impeccable. Knowing they grow their food in the garden makes this even more special. Fresh flowers everywhere beautifully appointed rooms. I felt like a Queen
17 November 2021 16:13
Attended a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue.thank you.staff were super efficient and friendly and all protocols were very smooth. Love Langdon Hall and hope to visit again soon. Cheers!
14 November 2021 3:53
I can't shower enough praise on the service, kitchen, and event staff at Langdon. We had a small 20-person wedding here (that had to be rescheduled twice) and Kate and her team took care of everything and made it easy. The food was phenomenal, the service was exceptional, and our guests absolutely loved the entire experience.
14 October 2021 9:42
I unfortunately can't book with them as they decided to only allow vaccinated people in their building even though that's not required for spas or going to a hotel. They are really impacting people's mental health negatively. I am very sorry you are going this route. They did say if I bring a documented negative test I may be allowed in. But does it make sense for me to pay for a test to them go into their spa and spend money? No thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere.
26 September 2021 2:17
I went for lunch and the Spa. The food and service was excellent. Thank you Chef Jason and your great staff, also many thanks to the girls at the Spa. It was an awesome day.
25 September 2021 9:32
It was my first experience with Langdon Hall, and it will not be my last. We came here to celebrate our 10th anniversary.and it was amazing surrounding was beautiful. Food was fantastic, great service. We had ours pick of 3 courses meal.each very unique and most of the ingredients were freshly picked from the garden. Amazing experience, thank you for making our celebration a great one. We will be back.
20 September 2021 1:22
The staff, all, consistently went the extra mile to make us feel special and our stay most pleasurable! Thank you for your gracious and generous hosting. To name a few, the observant Angel, the charming senior staff Greg, whom we’ve come to appreciate so much over the years, the lively, attentive Ashley, the thoughtful Nicole and the wonderful young man who Checked us out and did some on the spot research for us to help us plan our friends 50th wedding anniversary stay! Langdon’s facilities are the best; Plenty of activities, quiet enjoyment such as cycling, garden touring, Outdoor pool, lounging, spa, trails to hike, croquet, a library with very interesting unique book collections, horseshoes, pool table, chess, tennis and all in an intimate setting surrounded by some old and rare trees and Carolinian forests. The aesthetics, comfort, luxury, serene beauty are unique to Langdon Hall.
Chef Jason and his skillful team are among the best in the world! The food is amazing and eloquently delivered (including the tasteful music) in this relais chateaux estate at the top of the best 100 Rated restaurants. We have been patrons for 20 years. Staff have also helped us organize staff and family retreats a few times and with such flair! We most certainly look forward to our return in September!
04 September 2021 4:13
I cannot stress enough how terribly hard they work their restaurant staff. Sure, that’s the industry but having people work 80+ hours a week is cruel. They have little interest in finding new staff unless a resumee comes in that shows they’ll likely not have to train them as rigorously as most. Though most guests have a wonderful experience at Langdon Hall, it is at full expense of the hourly workers there, yet management and the sommeliers will take full credit for the work that was put in to create their experience. It really isn’t uncommon for heir hourly workers to work 14 hours a day, multiple days in a row.

I’d also like to point out the blatant disregard to gender equality policies. All female FOH workers have to wear that ugly green dress? What year is this? Seriously. Have uniform options. I am shocked no one has reported you to the labour board.
26 August 2021 16:50
We had lunch there. The ground is beautiful. The appetizer was great. The main good and dessert okay. For the price it was not an amazing meal.
10 August 2021 2:32
I’ve been to this establishment a couple times - for high tea and lunch. My most recent stay was with family and it was quite disappointing.

If you are a racial minority, beware of the service of this establishment. I was treated with the utmost disrespect by the spa staff, particularly the massage therapist, Shelly, who was immediately extremely hostile toward me the moment I came into contact with her. She was extremely cold toward me and made assumptions about me based on my race. Her behaviour was completely prejudiced toward me and she didn’t even try to hide it. But hey, this is your typical uppity establishment that comfortably caters to a specific demographic and if you’re not part of that demographic, you’ll be treated significantly differently. This is also reflected in the lack of diversity among their staff.

The experience completely ruined my stay, and I’ve vowed to never set foot on the grounds again. I would recommend a chateau in Toronto as they are used to serving a more ethnically diverse clientele.

Consistently wonderful food, spa and accommodations. Terrific for girl’s getaways as well as romantic weekends. Time really does stand still when you are visiting Langdon Hall.
03 July 2021 10:37
The food isn't good here that's an understatement and insult to the kitchen. Words cannot describe. The trails and nature is beautiful. Top class service. Rooms are neat and tidy.
13 June 2021 11:57
Awesome people, awesome service, and epic food. Thank you for the great experience and special thanks to Mark and Esther - everything was perfect
29 May 2021 5:42
I recently photographed a wedding there last week and I have to absolutely give it 5 stars. The staff was amazing, very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was also amazing! The rooms looked so nice to stay in and the atmosphere was just very friendly all around. Beautiful grounds as well:)
25 May 2021 10:20
Food, staff and accommodation are exceptional. A special acknowledgment to Stephanie who went above and beyond in customer service.
24 May 2021 12:37
If anyone is searching for bargain deals for hotels go over to ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ reserved a hotel room on there and these guys had the best rates anywhere!

Have actually only done high tea here a handful of times but it’s excellent. I would love to actually have a “proper” meal here or visit their spa, it’s honestly such a luxurious place I feel like royalty when I come here.
10 April 2021 11:50
My grandparents drive from Windsor to go to Langdon as it's one of their favorite places in the world. The staff are what make the experience unforgettable. It touches my heart to see how special they treat my grandparents and make every part of their stay an "above and beyond" experience.
22 December 2020 8:12
Langdon is always a wonderful experience and their staff and service are good. However, their menu and kitchen needs a major 're-think'.   All of the food options are essentially a bland meat with carrots, and lots and lots of root vegetables and then some type of jam. Literally just a bunch of combinations of all of that. Despite specifying my dietary restrictions, I spent a week recovering from their oversights and restrictions that were not accommodated. Also, as the courses go on, the plates get larger and the portions are smaller (maybe that's what being fancy means).

If you have food intolerances or allergies, I don't suggest dining at Langdon. Or maybe triple check before you eat anything. I am still in pain from their oversights.
Last thing, the manager told us they'd make it up to us and we just inquired with them about this and their offer was a bottle of wine.

Sorry about the lousy review. Again, service was spot on, but the culinary component was weak.
06 February 2019 6:04
I can understand why they make the top 5 list for restaurants on many travel magazines in Ontario. We have been here now 3 times and will continue to return. Although we enjoyed the tasting menu experience, their usual menu is also exceptional. Having eaten at many of the provincial critically acclaimed restaurants (includ Alo), Langdon Hall is definitely placing first place for when we want fine contemporary dining.
24 January 2019 20:53
While the setting is lovely, it is average compared to other Spa such as St Anns' or the Royalton. I personally will not return as I feel I was treated poorly due to my race. I have visited this place 3 times to give it a chance. Once for High Tea (which they have no clue about). I suggest some proper research. Another for lunch with colleagues and the receptionist in the restaurant, was very cold and unwelcoming. Most recently I went as a birthday treat from friends for a massage (which was very below average, again a demonstration of sub-standard training). The massage therapist asked me if this "was my very first massage"? I thought what an odd question, but really did not want to waste my time with negativity. But a very condescending question to ask a client. Rooms at $1000 per night does not ensure class, it simply means you are a business interested in profit and aiming to secure these by pretending to be something you are NOT. Marci Ien, CTV news reporter, recently did an interview on racial profiling, interestingly enough Marci was also at the spa that day. I might reach out to her for a follow up story.

Always delightful to visit, Langdon Hall is the quintessential expression of charm and service, our favourite place to spend time is Wilf's, the bar, for great food and exceptional cocktails, highly recommend a visit
16 January 2019 2:12
My Fiancée took me here for an overnight stay and spa visit in October. The food was very good and the staff were very professional and helpful. The dinner service was excellent. The property is beautiful and perfect for a nice walk. The rooms are beautiful with a nice real wood fire place ours had a walk out as well. The spa is beautiful unfortunately the whirlpool was not working when I was there which I was looking forward to after hiking for a lot of the morning. I used the steam room instead. We had a couples massage, the massage I had was great and I loved the peppermint massage lotion. I also had a body wrap which was nice but not the best I’ve had. The spa provides everything you need (robes, sandals, locker) and towels are available by the whirlpool.

Nothing compares to this gorgeous Relais & Chateau country manor just outside of Cambridge, Ontario. Fabulous world-class spa, the best menu and wine list in South Western Ontario. Fresh, locally produced ingredients, many from their own garden, and food that melts in your mouth. Service is second to none and the rooms are gorgeous. I always prefer staying in the lovely spacious Cloister rooms on the second floor overlooking the gardens. This hotel consistently wins top awards in Canada each year for a reason! A real treat, so romantic!
07 January 2019 5:14
I think everyone should treat themselves to an overnight stay at Langdon Hall at least once in their lives, this was our second stay and we live right in town. We have stayed in room 61 both visits which is an amazing space especially if you're staying with little ones. There's something about the shower in that room that will keep us coming back for the years to come, it's the water, it's the pressure, it's the lovely products and the luxury towels. All of it. I can't wait for our next excuse to go back. Thank you Langdon!
04 January 2019 9:46
03 January 2019 1:36
Beautiful grounds and delicious food! Rooms are a mix of modern and classic which some might like. Love the wooden fireplace in the room. There were a couple of minor oversights during our meals but nothing that couldn't be rectified by bringing it to the staff's attention.
01 January 2019 23:57
Everything about Langdon Hall is a great reason to visit. With impeccably maintained grounds, hotel and guest rooms, endless gourmet delights in the beautiful dining rooms and service second to none, hiking trails and expansive gardens on the property, a visit will quickly become part of your most cherished memories. The beauty of the outdoor gardens was spread throughout the hotel in stunning arrangements and the menu was as beautiful as it was delicious - even the staff were excited for us as they brought out each course of the tasting menu. It truly felt like our experience was important to everyone. This is a bucket list worthy hotel - I hope you add it to yours.

Lovely in every way. We stayed overnight for a birthday celebration. What a perfect time we had. We stayed in an Original Master which was spacious, comfortable and luxurious. The towels were my favourite of any hotel we have stayed at, and there have been many! The bed was comfortable although the topper seemed to be feather and my husband has allergies so we didn't have as sound of a sleep as anticipated. Great claw foot oversized tub and beautiful marble tile detail. Very clean of course as you would expect staying at Langdon Hall. A wood burning fireplace was a nice touch. My only complaint about the room was the coffee maker, I think it was not working well, really loud and terrible coffee. Also the cable messed up late at night but we needed to sleep anyway. The staff is amazing. They are ALL friendly, engaged with anticipating your needs from the minute we arrived to holding the door for us as we left. We felt lost in time at Langdon Hall and had fun imagining what it must have been like to live in such comfort and beauty. The mansion is gorgeous and you can feel the history, which we loved. Everywhere you gaze there is beauty and exceptional attention to detail. The food was outstanding although a little rich for our palette, we will ensure to pace ourselves next time! The breakfast was good and the croissants were amazing. The quiche could have been warmer but still delicious. The wait staff where simply the best. I loved how they whispered in each guests ear prior to ordering dinner, asking "do you have any allergies? " As my husband does and seems to be a little shy when a run of the mill waiter doesn't ask or blurts out this question and stop all conversation at the table. It was a very thoughtful and nice touch. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a late night bonfire which the nice gentleman on the front desk patiently tended to so that we could enjoy the experience, even at a late hour. Thank you to everyone at Langdon Hall for a great memory for my dear friends 70th birthday celebration.

So the chef won Iron Chef Canada.went for supper. The foie gras was salty. The lobster gelee was adequate. Two pieces of lobster were chewy; one was perfectly cooked. I asked for espresso corto.it was bought in a aperitif glass with no sugar. I called re: dress code and told semi formal. When seated, a group of people came in.you guessed it dressed in jeans. I asked the sever “what gives”. She just shrugged. If you’re going to have a dress code, enforce it.or are you one of those pretentious restaurants that just pays lip service to dress codes. I guess the inmates have taken over the prison.so disappointing.

What a lovely place and less than an hour away from Mississauga. I don't know why I haven't been here before.
The lovely large main house has a reception area and the dining room and bar. Our conference group was given a private area in the dining room with a set dinner and buffet breakfast. The food was good and is all made from scratch on site.
They have a huge selection of teas as well.
In the meeting room (off to the side beside the main house) we had a variety of drinks, coffees, Teas and snacks. The croissants are heavenly (yes I splurged even though they were not gf). The room was cozy and had 5 tables with 5 seats and 2 screens.
The room I stayed in was on the 2nd floor in the same area as the conference room. It was large and beautiful. An area for coat and shoes, a closet. A washroom with toilet and sink, another washroom with tub, sink and shower, 2 double beds and a sitting area with sofa, tv and nice view of the yard.
There is a spa on site, hiking trails, stables and lots of parking. There is also a pool and outdoor dining seating.
Great close getaway place with lovely staff. Can't wait to come back for a leisure trip vs a conference
Food was good and they did have some gf and vegan options. The entree at dinner that was gf and vegan was quite bland.
10 December 2018 4:52
I would have given Langdon Hall 5 stars had it not been for one issue - and for me it's a major issue. They are not allergy friendly at all. Some of the waiters are way too casual about it and they even messed up once with one of my desserts. It's a good thing I'm vigilant or I would have ended up in the hospital. I still got sick so I think there must have been traces of the allergen somewhere. Otherwise, it's a beautiful hotel and the food and service was overall fantastic. I just think they need to have a good full-proof system in place when it comes to life and death matters because they clearly don't.
26 November 2018 9:00
Beautiful property and building. The spa was OK - massages were meh would not recommend. Service was excellent throughout the hotel except for the front desk personnel who were quite rude on the phone when making a reservation and also late at night when coming back into the hotel.
18 November 2018 23:57
Very inattentive staff at the bar area. No one checked on us or offered us anything after we ordered our bottle of wine. Had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. For the reputation of this establishment, I would expect much more. Beautiful building however

Excellent restaurant
. Carefully with king beds as ours was two twins pushed together.bug ridge in the middle.not acceptable for a 6 star hotel. But manager did make an adjustment.
26 October 2018 8:53
Exquisite food, expertly prepared. Friendly service staff. Rated one if the best restaurants in Canada and deservedly so. Make some time to wander through the grounds, especially if the weather cooperates. Overall a great experience.

Sorry I have read the reviews and can't believe it.we are at a wedding and it's the worst food I have ever had.totally not worth it. I am so hungry after this event. I am 61 years old and this is a first.

This is an amazing SPA. The location and the spa are amazing. However, I feel very differently about the staff. I paid a lot of money for a relaxing day that turned into a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. Reem was very unprofessional considering we were strangers and I didn't need to hear about her sex life for my entire spa visit. She also disclosed to me how she was having a relationship with a married man. Not sure if she thought I would sympathize for her as the other woman but I felt this was very immoral and wrong.
Staff should have been better directed to keep their personal lives separate from their business.

Our friends celebrated their wedding yesterday, the food was amazing, and service was excellent.venue was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. A great time was had by all!

Beautiful oasis away from the city tucked in a relaxing countryside location. Rooms are large, have fireplaces and the pool and spa are a definite recommendation.
