Driver is very unprofessional.wanted me to bring the barrel to the road.first words when he called me was I’m not coming down there he is driving a truck and it’s dark.and my reply was I can turn lights on for you and there is more than enough room for the truck.his response I’m not doing it so if you’re not going to bring the barrel to the road then I don’t know what to tell you.so unprofessional

Waiting for my box to be picked up. The schedule time was 10am to 2pm. Received a call at 10.30 to confirm my details but still waiting. Its almost 5pm.
My entire day is ruined as my other stuff is held up.
Would not recommend this company

Is it normal practice to ask the overall cost of the items inside the barrel? I know the items inside the barrel is a normal question. I've never been asked the cost before, I assumed that was a question asked by customs. Just curious.

LaParkan opened its Toronto office in 1983. One would think they would have their Pickup service down to a "T". Unfortunately, they don't. Was supposed to have a barrel picked-up on Sunday. My time was confirmed between 12-3pm. Waited all afternoon, called the office number at 5pm, left a message, hoping someone would be monitoring the phone lines. At 8pm I got a call from the driver saying he was in an accident and could not make it. While I empathized with the driver and understood, I also learned he was the only one picking up Barrels in my area. I called the office the next day, of course I missed the shipping day and was told I have to wait 2 more weeks for the next shipment. I asked how can a company that is in business for so long not have more than one person picking up Barrels? How it is they have no customer service line after 4pm on a Sunday? The girl didn't seem to care, she just wanted to know if I wanted to re-book the pick-up. Truly, this part of your business needs to improve. Then again, maybe you have too many people who continually ship with you that you don't care. Keep in mind, there are many other companies in this business now, it will just be a matter of time before people go elsewhere. This is not 1983 when you were the only "kid on the block".

Extremely poor service, first they called and scheduled pick up then after waiting hours i recieved a call that they were running late and they may have to come the next day. They did show up the next day and i was very understanding however i was reassured that my barrel was going to be shipped off within that week. Now 2 weeks later i find out that my barrel is now only going to be shipped off and no one informed me that it didn't go out within the scheduled time i was told and when i called they were dishonest and didn't want to admit that it was going out later than i was told it would be. They didnt express any remorse for their inefficiency.

The warehouse staff is very courteous and helpful the front office staff are professional also.

If anyone is using company to ship a barrel to Guyana don't use Laparkan they are unreliable I shipped with them and my barrel reach to the recipient 14 weeks after.

Always professional staff very helpful on time with your parcels an always reachable i highly recommend them if you have items to be shipped or picked up

If I could give less than a 1 star for this service I would, staff at the Toronto location were extremely rude, unfriendly, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never use this service again. Management, you need to review your hiring process and ensure that you put people with the appropriate skills in customer facing roles. Not only will I never use you again, I will encourage all those that I know to also never ship through you again. Very disappointed!

They take 3 months to take my barrle from canada here to guyana and the take out stuff from my barele dont use then there are thief

In very disappointed 3 barrels sent from my home address I received late due to covid 2 also lost and found and returned with contents missing and start seen seems clueless in assistance.

Want to send stuff to Guyana and the Caribbean? These guys will do the job for you at reasonable prices. Warehouse/shipping staff is very friendly and helpful. Office staff is great at helping to fill out the shipping documents.

I Recently changed addresses of the place that I’m sending my Airfreight and Laparkan has been my cargo shipper for more than two years now and all of a sudden I was told that the driver had to pick up my barrel on a Sunday between 12pm and 3 I called multiple times and the driver did not pick up those times I’m very disappointed as my family are waiting for the barrel ASAP.

I shipped a motorcycle to Barbados with no issues at all.
Bike arrived in a timely manner and the cost was very reasonable
It was also very simple as far as paperwork went.

Laparkan is the place to go for international transfer of goods or money, especially to the Caribbean.

You guy need to get rid of Lee Baker in Edmonton Alberta, can't be taking customer money and barrel storing them at his home before shipping them, then it take 6 month to reach Jamaica. When u call Toronto they say call back Lee. People Stay away from this man.use the order guy representing laparkan.

Been shipping for sometime with laparkhan and im very disappointed and heartbroken, with that being said i have a widow aunt who is also a pensioner who resides in guyana, i taught it would been nice to spread some cheer since its CHRISTMAS! However my aunt received 2 barrels yesterday and 3/4 of the items are missing, this is so not fair, never shipping with this company again

I use them often, so far never an issue and my packages it arrives within the said time frame. Happy with their service.

Great prices but horrible service. When calling to get schedule drop off and pick up off barrel, the lady asked for my address of which I gave her. “I doh need dat, what’s the major intersection” she said in a very aggressive manner.
Now when ready for my barrel to be picked up it was confirmed that it will be picked up between the time of 10 & 1. I call at 12: 45 to confirm that he is coming. “Give him more time & if he doesn’t come we will reschedule” is the response I got. When I further explained that I leave to go abroad the next morning & have prior appointments schuduled for 2 later that day of which were arranged around the pick up of the barrel, I got a response of “give the drive more time to see if he will come”
NOT ACCEPTABLE.
