I recently had the laser eye procedure done by lasik md and the staff were thoroughly committed to providing me with best possible care. From my pre consultation to the actual procedure. Every staff member was professional and treated me with the utmost respect.

Excellent customer service, and every single person I have had to see and deal with has been very friendly. My experience with LASIK has been fantastic. From pre op, surgery and post op.

Overall a great experience from start to finish. From first consult to surgery was ~4 weeks. Everyone along the way was very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. I am currently 4 days post-op and very happy with the results.

However, the finance department leaves a lot to be desired and pulled a bait and switch on me. Lasik MD advertises financing through PayBright at 0% for 18 or 24 month terms, as well as longer terms at 8.95% for 48 or 60 months. I, at multiple times, confirmed that the 0% was an option for the procedure that I underwent, with my initial consultant at the Whitby Clinic. Both in person, and via email. I was then emailed by the surgery clinic, which contained the same financing information within the email, without stipulations. All I was told about financing, was that I had to pre-qualify and finalize paperwork in the clinic on the day of surgery. On the day of surgery, after completing the pre-surgery testing, I was called into the fiance manager's office, where we discussed payment and which procedure I wanted. I was then told that the standard surgery did not qualify for the 0% financing, only their advanced surgery would be considered at that rate and term.

After some back and forth with the finance manager about what was discussed at the Whitby clinic and what was in their email. As well as some shady sales pitch about upgrading to a surgery twice the price of the standard surgery. I reluctantly agreed to different financing terms. I had already gone through the pre-op process, gotten excited for my new vision, and spent ~2 hours in the clinic already, it's not like I was about to back out.

Again overall, all the technicians, support staff, and the doctor were excellent, but if you're looking to finance at their advertised 0% rates, make sure you are planning to go through with their Advanced package.

Staff were incredible at the North York location, especially Michelle Mundle who guided me through the whole process and made sure I understood everything leading up to and after the process. Dr. Hakim was amazing. Walked through the whole procedure and made a stressful procedure as smooth as possible. He had a great bedside manner and did a great job. So far 5 days after and doing well! And doing better each day! So far couldn't be happier with the results!

Absolutely life changing experience I can finally see the world in 4k haha! Dr. Bashour was amazing! Knowledgeable and kind staff! They were very helpful!

Wow! I was SOO nervous, but the procedure itself is so quick, and you can’t feel anything!
It’s only been a couple days since I got my lasik done and my vision is already amazing (and healing fast!) Highly recommend!
It’s true what they say.wish I had done this sooner!

I had my surgery in Scarborough location and the day went well, there is absolutely nothing for me to complain about, the entire staff is very professional and welcoming, the team took their time in answering my questions, it felt like I knew them for years. My surgery was with Dr. Vincent Lam. Day three for me today and I am doing great. Thanks again to the entire staff for making this experience one I will never forget for great reasons of course.

Had an incredibly disappointing and unprofessional experience with this location today during an appointment for an enhancement to a procedure I had done over eight years ago at a different location.

I had an appointment scheduled for 1400hrs, which I arrived approximately 15 minutes early to. Saw the first member of the team at the appropriate time for the initial testing. Shortly thereafter, I saw the technician for a few more standard tests. I was then told to go back to wait to speak with Matt for additional information with regards to scheduling of the procedure and additional information.

Another client, whom we'll call Karen, was sitting across from me. The receptionist happened to walk by on the way to the washroom, and Karen immediately got her attention and said she, "didn't realize this appointment would take so long, I have kids that I need to pick up from school". She is very insistent and demanding. The receptionist says she'll see what the next booking is.

Matt shows up, and the receptionist asks who is next. Matt says, very clearly, "My next appointment is Jeffrey". Karen immediately says, "That's me" and starts talking to both of them, claiming she is in a rush and, "she'll only need a few minutes", and is quickly led off.

The receptionist says nothing to me, until a few minutes later when she comes back giggling and says, "Aren't you Jeffrey? Did you hear Jeffrey? I heard Jeffrey. " When I confirmed, she went back to her desk and my assumption is she then dialed Matt who then confirmed that is what was stated.

I waited for nearly 30 minutes before Matt called me in. While he apologized, his body language, tone and laughter indicated he wasn't taking it seriously either.

So we have two employees that clearly aren't trained to or can't capably handle Karen, and are reinforcing Karen's behaviour while minimizing the impact to other clientele. It shows a complete lack of respect to other clients, a minimizing of the importance of adhering to timings, and a lack of professionalism.

I was finished with Matt in approximately three minutes. I never did see Karen depart the office while I was waiting and being led back for my very much delayed appointment.

If this is the quality of care the staff displays, I am concerned how the rest of the establishment operates.

A wonderful experience. Everyone you interacted with was pleasant and put you at ease about the procedure. I am one month post surgery and couldn't be happier with my decision

I didn’t think it was possible to see the world like this. My experience is just so surreal, it’s like I’m living in a dream. Lasik has changed my life and I thank the surgeon and the assistants for making my life better.

I booked my consultation in 2013 just to see what the procedure was and the costs. I was not able to do it at that time but was able to get my Lasik done just a few days. The experience was very welcoming and warm, every person who completed the tests before the procedure was very kind and informative. They were open to all questions and took their time to explain everything they did not rush one bit. During my procedure Dr. Omar made sure everything goes smooth and I was informed of all information before the procedure and during. I could not ask for a better Dr.than Dr. Omar to perform the procedure. He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure I knew of all information including risks and types of procedure for eye correction. I was a bit nervous right before the procedure but Dr. Omar made sure I do not panic and guided me through everything that I would be seeing during the procedure. His talk through the procedure made me at ease and I'm thankful for Lasik. I would highly recommend it as they aim for 20/20 eye sight but I was provided 25/20 a bit better than perfect at the end

I had Lasik done at North York clinic with Dr. Vincent lam. Dr. Lam was very professional and thorough. He took time to explain everything as things progressed which made me feel comfortable and confident. Procedure was painless! Im so happy that I got Lasik! It's only been 48 hours but it's been life changing.

I had the best experience with LASIK MD. Customer service was amazing from start to finish. Everything is so streamlined and the wait is minimal. My surgery went very well. The whole thing probably took 10 minutes! I wish I’ve done it 10 years earlier haha. My surgeon was great. Calm, knowledgeable and made me feel relaxed.

Super organized. Very thorough process and very well explained at every test/ step of the way. Everyone was extremely friendly and calmed my nerves. In the end the surgery was not bad at all neither the recovery itself.

I had my laser eye surgery done with Dr. Hakim. Coming in, I was very nervous and Dr. Hakim was very comforting and kind towards my feelings and anxieties. He even had me laughing by the time we started. He was extremely thorough with the entire procedure, and I also noticed how kind he treated his assistants as well. He showed genuine compassion towards me as well as kindness towards everyone there. And beyond all of that, I CAN SEE! My eyes did not once feel sore or hurt, I walked in with really bad eyesight, and I walked out seeing everything crystal clear. He did an amazing job and before I left he made sure to let me know if I had any questions and concerns at all, not to hesitate to contact him.
24 hours later, I had a follow-up appointment in the Whitby LASIK MD location where I had the pleasure of meeting Godwin once again. He as well was extremely thorough and respectful. He made me feel welcome and answered all my questions respectfully.

All in all, from the initial consultation up until now, I’ve had nothing but fantastic experiences with the LASIK MD team. Thank you all!

Just want to say how impressed I was with Godwin who was super professional and helpful in both my pre-op and post-op visits. Godwin was also very approachable and friendly. It felt great to be treated so well.
