Zlata was absolutely fantastic with the whole process and my son and I loved our service at the Carlingwood location. She was nice and efficient and it was a perfect fit for me and she helped find the perfect glasses for me at a good price. I enjoyed my experience and I wish there was more Zlata's at Laurier Optical!

Great employee and we loved her cute accent as well. My son said "where are you from". I like your accent. Ukrainian was her answer!

The staff was helpful in finding options for styles of frames we were looking for. They gave us space and time and to look on our own after greeting us, which supported my son to be at ease and not feel pressured.

Allison was so helpful. She helped us pick out frames and was so kind! She made sure we were getting the cheapest glasses but also ones that we liked! Truly great service!

Santa arrived in town but found his glasses needed to be changed.hard to read to the kids or the wonderful letters. Came to Laurier Optical to have them rush ordered for the busy season.

Great service. Optometrist spent 2 hours with my son teaching how to put in contact lenses. They were very patient and never pressured us to buy something or hurry up

I booked my appointment for my eye exam online. I recieved a phone call remind two business days before my appointment date.
The day of I recieved excellent customer service from the two ladies at the front desk. Filled out some paperwork and they did the initial pressure test then came back out to the main area and had the option to sit down and wait for the doctor to see me. I took the time to check out the frames - many selections and they currently had a promotion for their frames.
I was called a few minutes later - the eye exam was easy and painless. The doctor advised me on the changes to my prescription and what was causing my headaches and migraines.
After my exam I went back out and was told by the clerk's about the current promotions and different coat that can be applied to the lenses. They broke-down the expenses of each service. In the end I did get new frames and coats added to my lenses and left a happy customer. The clerk stated it will take up to 10 business days for my glasses to be ready for pick up. So until then.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Helped with every step of picking frames. Our family was very happy from start to finish. Will return for our eye glass needs

Unfortunately, a very negative experience. I took an hour off work for an eye exam, and had to leave after 40 minutes of waiting with my time wasted and no service rendered.

The optometrist was very late for my eye exam and staff estimates of my wait time were not close. I eventually told them I would get a coffee directly across the hall and keep waiting. Half an hour later I watched from 10 feet away as the optometrist finally emerged and took the patient in line behind me. When I asked why, I was blamed for not having come back. I was right where I said I would be. I asked how much longer I would have to wait again, but there was no solid answer. I had a deadline that should not have mattered based on the original appointment time, so I had to leave.

Nice enough people but attention to detail and respect for the patient is lacking. Never met the optometrist so can't offer much there other than this individual appears to overfill their schedule to maximize profit without regard for the inconvenience for patients. This was a big waste of time that I will never get back.

I would recommend avoiding Laurier Optical at the Carlingwood Mall. I'll edit this review if they follow up with any meaningful explanation, but I don't expect anything.

I finally found a great eye clinic that is accommodating (esp these days) that practices good safety protocols, convenient location, great selection of good quality glasses and of course knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Customer service was excellent, They helped me a lot in picking my frames and was very knowledgeable about all the products

They provide the best service, and they have the utmost care for their clients, I have bought one glass for my mom and two for myself and I am so happy with them I do highly recommend them

My experience with Laurier Optical at Carlingwood Shopping mall has turned out to be very disappointing. While I was on vacation i noticed that my very expensive lens were turning yellow and there is now a film on the lens. By the time I was able to get an appointment to see the manager I was told that it was 2 months past my 2 year plan for coverage. They offered my the opportunity to come back with a credit for another pair of glasses. I ask who would trust paying for another pair of glasses when a company won't accept responsibility for the poor workmanship of the glasses I am currently having to wear till I can get an appointment to get a new pair. I will definitely be going to Pearle Vision.

The man who served me I think his name was Frank and he is the manager.is the nicest man in the world! Also good at matching you with frames that suit your face! Great staff overall. Good prices.

The prices are great, and I like the options you have for customizing the lenses. I always get my glasses and sunglasses here.

Went a couple of weeks ago for an eye exam. Had to wait at least 45 minutes although I had booked in advance. Exam was fine. Some sales pressure to purchase new glasses which is understandable given COVID impacts and I did have some help to find a pair I liked. However my experience soured when I was given an incomplete prescription. When I asked for a complete version I was refused with little explanation - likely the reason is to ensure they keep some of my information so that I can only purchase glasses from them. Not impressed. Didn't buy glasses - left and will take my and my family's business elsewhere from now on.

Laurier Optical is great! There's a large selection of modern frames. The staff is good at picking out frames for you if you want some guidance. I thought the pricing was fair.

Came here today after reading reviews on here. What a great place! Best eye am exam I have ever had. The doctor was really thorough with his exam. I loved the attention that I received in selecting a frame. My glasses fit great. I am very happy with my new vision prescription. I definatly recommend this place.

Laurier Optical also has a pretty nice selection of trendy frames; they were just out of my current price range. There were some nice quality frames I really liked when I was browsing, and I'll definitely have to come back once I can afford them!

I brought in a pair of glasses in need of repair at lunch today. The front desk staff and the technician were highly professional, knowledgeable and cheerful! In and out in minutes with my faith restored in customer service. Bravo!

They charge for the eye exam before they complete it. IveInever had to pay for a service before receiving it before.

Saw the doctor a year ago, who said I should see a specialist. Waited 6 months, no call, so I contacted Laurier. They said wait a bit longer. Nothing. I called again, only to be told "oh, there is no note on your file for you to see specialist. It's time for another appointment. " No thank you. I have switched. On top of that at that same first appointment I got my first pair of glasses. I have been unable to get used to them despite several visits to review. Apparently I just didn't pay enough money for me to be able to read with them comfortably. Zero stars.

I would like to describe my experience at one of the Laurier Optical locations and you can decide for yourself.

I had used a previous Laurier Optical location a couple of years ago and had no complaints about my experience there. Unfortunately, they closed down so I decided to try this new location to purchase new Nikon progressive lenses as well as computer and single vision distance lenses.

I spent time with the optician getting all the measurements and ordered new Nikon progressive lenses with clip-on sunglasses.

I was called a few weeks later that the glasses were ready. When they came, they weren't properly calibrated and I had to tilt my head so I could see clearly. They told me to take them home and I would probably get used to it. I have made Nikon progressive lenses several times in the past so I know what works and what doesn't work. After blaming me, they finally agreed to remake them very reluctantly. On top of that, they don't have any appointments and you might have a very long wait if they're busy with someone else when you get there.

Finally, after several weeks, they called to say that the second pair was ready. I'm not sure what they did but the problem was still there, perhaps with a slight improvement but perhaps not at all. In any event, I still could not see clearly without tilting my head. Once again, they insisted that I would probably adjust to them and I should try them for a couple weeks before deciding they are no good. They also complained that this was costing them a lot of money and that they have to pay to make them again. This was different than what I had heard from the head office where they told me they don't have to pay to redo them.

I did take them home and it was obvious after just a couple of days that my older pair was better and I couldn't watch TV or drive with the new ones.

Now it's another couple of weeks of back-and-forth and seeing the manager before they finally, very reluctantly, agree to make them a third time. I assume that they actually did do the second one.

The optician had warned me that if they make the adjustment to center them, I wouldn't be able to read because it would be very narrow as well as distance would be very narrow. Actually, none of that is true and the final ones work properly.

There's a lot more I can say but this is already too long.
