The chef makes delicious, delectable.yummy food that you need to try again and service so welcoming.

I went there on Tuesday for lunch with my friend. We ordered mix shawarma platter and chicken shawarma platter. We waited for 40 minutes for food and it was served cold. It had big, burned and hard chicken pieces, it wasn't like shawarma chicken.
And very overly priced very much. Doesn't recommended. Don't waste your money and time.

Excellent ambience. Food was okay. Kebobs were dry and salty.

Sheesha smoke filled the air making it very difficult for the kids. Not an apt place for families with young kids.

They wouldn't give any tap water, and customers are forced to buy bottled water.

Will never stop coming back here, the service is amazing. Especially our server lekaa, he’s always so attentive and welcoming. He has been our server many times and his service never lacks. As well as the manager, he is very professional and caring. Would 100% recommend checking out this place, the food is great!

Went there with the family for lunch. Great ambience and food was delicious. Customer service was even better. My new go to place for middle eastern food at Ajax!

Tried this place recently on my lunch with some co-workers.

Very nice big and clean place. Service was a little slow and it did take some time for the sever to come take our order.

We tried the shawarma mixed plate with rice and the chicken shawarma with fries.

The food was good and I would for sure come back to eat again. One thing yo note is that people are in there smoking shish-a, so if you don’t mind that while you eat you’ll be alright.

Shawarma sandwiches were below par and not worth 30 minute wait.
Meat and Chicken was dry.
Tahini was salty.
Saj bread was stale.
The sandwiches lacked flavor and fell apart, likely due to the stale bread and poor execution of wrapping the sandwich.
Sever was not helpful when asked about the menu, only insisting we scan the code to load the menu to avoid answering questions about the food.
The only other people in the restaurant besides the 4 seen employees, was a couple smoking sheisha.
Last I knew, smoking is not permitted indoors at eating establishments. This business is not listed/registered as a Sheisha bar.
It was not pleasant smelling or inhaling 2nd hand smoke while waiting 30 mins for our take out order.
Too bad. A proper Mediterranean Restaurant was something that would have been nice.

Food is delicious! Not expensive very reasonable! The highlight is the staff and customer service A+. Been there twice never disappointed best atmosphere in Durham! Go check

Amazing food! For recomendations the shishtouk platter is amazing and it is Halal great service and spacious to sit.

It was my first time here and I waited 2 hrs for the food. All I ordered was a shawarma plate with fries. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was a disappointing experience. Don't come here for food.

I come here often, worth it coming here. Food is excellent and excellent customer service excellent. No complaints. Very welcoming.

Though it was crowded, being valentine's and our food took 45 minutes to reach the table (thankfully we got our juice and bread in like 10 minutes of ordering), loved the place.
Hope it was a one off day. But its not a place to go and dine in when you are in a rush.

The food here is epic. Every item I’ve tried so far is amazing. Especially the beef shawarma wrap. This is truly a hidden gem!

The most dog trash restaurant I have ever been, food took over 1 hour and the place was even that busy, the food came in and the chicken was raw almost like the cook made it last second, I complained and they brought me a new chicken, raw again, then the waiter tried arguing with my sister that the food wasent raw, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

Wow food was exceptional; the staff most friendly and explains food that I cannot pronounce and the atmosphere is like nothing elsewhere

Loved the service and staff members. The food was authentic and tasty, would definitely recommend the chicken shawarma wrap and plate. We tried the Arabic ice cream too which was pretty good. They accidentally brought us a Kunafa that we didn’t order and they let us keep it, and it was delicious.

We tried their Kiwi Mint shisha as well, very high quality European shisha and comes with coconut coals as standard.

Overall, very good experience!

Had the chicken and beef shawarma plates, and eggplant tomato salad. All were delicious! And the portion more than we expected, for the price. Servers were friendly too. Will definitely go back to try more.

Hi good food my suggestion is they need a separated section for shisha lovers. I went with my family we had babies and elderly and its not healthy. Shisha lovers can enjoy invtheir soace. No offence

Amazing. I can see why this place has such high ratings. We went in expecting decent food based on the reviews, but they surpassed expectations. Probably one of the best restaurants we've been to since moving to Pickering. For a group of 4 we spent about $90+tax and tip and were satisfied and very happy with the meal and service. I'm already excited to go back to try their wraps and plates.

I had a wonderful experience tonight with friends. First and foremost, the staff are out of this world! They were attentive, patient, friendly and kind. They checked up on us several times without being overbearing, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and relaxing.
Now let’s talk food. We ordered about 8 different items. Fatoush, trio dip (Hummus was to die for, delicious, creamy texture with just the right amount of Tahina). The shawarma pizza bread was unreal. The server suggested it to us and she was spot on. Imagine pull apart Cheesy bread but with all the goodness of a proper shawarma. We ordered all the Manakeesh. The Zataar one was my favourite. So delicious, it was my first time having Zataar and it will not be my last. So amazing. Overall, Laymoon has quickly and easily become one of the best places in Durham with some of the most delicious Middle Eastern cuisine that I have ever had! We were sad that they were out of the Labneh, but weren’t too worried because we will be coming back again! Gems like this need recognition and I will do my best to support this business and spread the word. I’ve already told all my family and friends about this place, so they can expect to have some new faces that become familiar ones! My two Arab friends said they felt like they were back home because the atmosphere felt like they did at the cafes in Jordan. Thank you to the staff and chefs at Laymoon for the exceptional hospitality and food! We will see you again soon!

One of the best middle eastern restaurants we have visited in a long time. Location was easy to find close to the highway, lots of parking, family friendly. The food was amazing but even better was the excellent service we received. Every single one of them were friendly and genuine. Always making sure we were good and all was ok. To top it off it
is super clean and spacious. Thank you to our servers Jocelyn, Mirna and Lina!

Food fairly priced and cooked decent. My only suggestion is to use 5% more fat in the kafta kebabs and supply butter and sumac with all dishes. Honestly it should be a 3 star rating but the reason I bumped it up was because of the fair pricing and excellent customer service by the server today (he was syrian). He was quick, friendly and presentable. Food was once again fairly priced for the $85 Platter. Feeds up to 5 people but 4 very comfortably. Coke cans were priced well at $2. Salad was delicious. Rice was not a 4 person portion rather more like 2. In general I would go there again as it is not easy to find good places to eat halal kebabs

I would recommend McDonald’s across the street or even better try out good pho you, that plaza has a few restaurants actually that’s good but this place is terrible an insulting, a lil kid can cook better
