Lazeez Shawarma

Beef shawarma is meh. Dry, and felt like it was over cooked. Has no fat sir.

The chicken one was better. It's hard to maintain proper beef shawarma without lamb fat

Beef Sharwarma plate tasted like dog food, and wife didn’t eat chicken sharwarma wrap cause dry and didn’t taste good

I am a fan of Middle East food especially falafels. Tried so many places so thought to give it a try to lazeez shawarma. I tried falafel on rocks. To be honest falafels tasted like rocks and their rice was stale and uncooked. The staffs not wearing masks and gloves when preparing the food. My food was dripping in grease and sauces were too much. Had to throw the food as the food was not fresh and it was stale and not fresh.

Before ordering please make sure that the food is fresh

Amazing vegetarian falafel platter with Rice, falafel and salad. Loved it. Great service even so late at night and food was fresh.

I was discriminated against for my medical/physical disability and denied service at 6: 30 PM on Thursday November 4th 2021. I am a regular customer who will not be making any purchases from this restaurant in the future. Not a great team you have working at this franchise.

Everything is fine but the food is too salty for my palette, sorry guys! I would say give this a try and decide for yourself. The portions are great and the prices very reasonable. I prefer Shawerma Plus and Ace Shawarma in case you're looking for other Shawarma places.

I came at 11: 40 pm. They close at 12: 00 am. The staff had already locked the door and were laughing inside and ignoring me and my friends who were at the door. If you can't serve AT LEAST SHOW SOME RESPECT to people who come at your shop. Highly not recommended

Good hangout for quick bites! Their spice level is a tad bit higher than usual, but they have some great wraps!

I didn’t order anything, good thing I didn’t. My buddy ate half of his chicken on the rocks and left the other half for later. When the time came around to eat the other half he found a dead fly in the middle of the rice. Id avoid this one.

Look out Osmow's cause Lazeez is taking over. They're generous with their meats and toppings and their fries are so much better.

Filling of course.they don't really give much meat. It's okay, they kind of drown the dish in sauce even when you ask for less

This is really good shawarma and the people who work there are very pleasant. Their hot sauce is hot, but I didn't get the sweaty eyeballs from it. I've tried both 'on the rocks' (a bed of rice) and 'on the sticks' (a bed of fries). Both options are great.
I am a pretty big guy with a big appetite and I was quite satisfied by their medium. I ordered a platter today thinking it would be about the same as a medium portion of shawarma with a salad but I was wrong. It was a large shawarma with a medium size box of salad. I'd recommend you bring a friend to help you finish it

I don’t even know why u guys stay till 2: 30 like “late night heroes” it was my first and worst experience i order from uber eats chicken and falafel, the chicken was so bad and some of it wasn’t even cooked well it was the baddest chicken shawarma wrap i’ve ever had the falafel wasn’t cooked and i tasted so bad because it’s not enough cooked it. Like bro either be the late night heroes ok close early without giving people the worst experience it’s probably my first and last time.

The worst food ever. I bought chicken plate yesterday it was not GD at all. I couldn't sleep easily because of the stomach pain. I'll never go back

Ordered from here via uber eats and it was worst shawarma we have ever eaten, seems it was not fresh even, will never order again.

Try their chicken shwarma on the sticks. Just delicious, I've went to 3 of their locations and all were really good. Don't forget to get a barbican, I recommend pomegranate, raspberry and peach. But the other barbicans are good too.

During my most recent visit to the store, while ordering half&half they were sweet enough to not only pack my fries separate to the rice as per my request but also flavour it up with extra sauce and meat! Simply love it! A must visit for any shawarma lovers out there!

A series of unfortunate events:
Forgetting my order exists at all
Getting the order wrong
and finally, the resulting food didn’t even taste that good.

We ordered a chicken shawarma bowl and another one with falafels. Disappointed on the taste overall. They put WAY too much rice. The white sauce they use has no taste, it was super greasy when we reheated the leftovers I ended up throwing it away.
I thought of giving this place a try but honestly will stick to my favourite shawarma place so far which is on Highland.

Food is good but the last 4-5 times i ordered food, i got a ton of rice or fries (depending on the base I ordered in each order) and only one small spoon of chicken on top.

It did not even cover the rice, multiple times it has been one small spoon (like a small dot of chicken on a huge bed of rice/fries).

They give customers an extremely tiny portion of chicken and cover the rest of the body with a ton of sauces so you cant tell if it even has chicken.

Paid for multiple meals multiple times to only get rice with one dot of chicken and a tsunami of sauces.

Being a regular customer, i would imagine they would be more consistent, but there was a huge lack of that

- tiny protein portions on a ton of rice
- tsunami of sauces to cover that they give u a dot of chicken
- fries are usually really cold and hard rock.

They used to be excellent, but overall downfall is very clear now

It is delicious but the chicken is a bit dry. We ordered platters and wraps. These would be by far the best platters if the chicken was not dry.

We just went there at the University Location and the guy preparing the food neither had mask or the gloves. I don't think this is acceptable especially in this covid situation.
We did not order and just walked out of the store. I guess many more ppl will not order if the staff do not take care of the health issue in this time of crisis.

I went to this place to order food but I saw that the person making food was not wearing mask or gloves and was preparing the food. I think this should not be happening especially in this COVID situation with critical thing like food. How does 6 feet even matter when you are serving the food without any gloves or masks on? Very unsatisfied.

Lazeez is the staple restaurant here in Waterloo, everyone here knows and has tried it.

The Mediterranean Platters and Shawarma Wraps are a blessing for meat lovers and you can't go wrong with them!

They have a lot of different options even after being limited to Mediterranean Cuisine, and their pricing is perfectly affordable!

The only issue with Lazeez is that you can get used to the tastes of the food they provide. There isn't a lot of variety hence I am giving them 4.

Definitely try them out though if you haven't yet, you won't be disappointed at all

I ordered two beef Shawerma meal combos from Waterloo location, I was very disappointed of the quality of the meat used, chewy, lots of fats and under cooked, I payed about CAD39 for very bad food.
I definitely would not recommend it

These guys are scamming sooooo hard. First of all they sell shawarma but illegally buddy in the University location is selling cell phones under the table, theyre faulty and don't work and he won't refund you back. Either this is investigated or we will.

Normally I would recommend a Shawarma place for their Shawarma. Not so with Lazeez, oh no. They make these exceptional, crispy, soft and fluffy fries, onto which shawarma is piled, doused in sauces of both a gloriously spicy and garlicky nature. Needless to say, I would slide right back for rounds 2's someday.

The night duty staff at University Plaza is very rude.
I ordered a pickup from SkipTheDishes 2 days back and the fries I got were all burnt. I didn’t complain on Skip since I didn’t want them to have bad ratings as I have friends working on other lazeez locations.
Today when I visited and mentioned it to the night duty supervisor (who claimed himself as the manager) he said I should complain on SkipTheDishes and it was different staff that day so they don’t take any responsibility! Like seriously?
Didn’t expect such behaviour from lazeez employees. Lazeez at King plaza has better staff and are very welcoming always.

Excellent place for a quick meal. I usually order the chicken shawarma on-the-rocks, which is chicken shawarma, rice and sauces. I usually ask for ‘less than hot’ for the hot sauce, which is 6 lines. Enough for a medium on-the-rocks. The small portion is pretty sufficient too, go for the medium if you are crazy hungry. The large is pretty huge for 2 meals. The falafels are pretty good too.

Food is good but staff is rude if you ask them to get some garlic sauce to make taste better they are ready to charge you more 0.50cent that’s actually not worth it
If you paying 11.99 still they can’t give u sauce

No student experience at Waterloo is complete without dining at Lazeez on long study days, after exams, between classes or when you need a food coma to forget how you bombed your assignment. Regular chicken on the rocks with extra chicken and two lines. Over. And over. And over. Never gets old.

I love lazeez. I love the way their food clogs my arteries and I melt in that 10-line, mayonnaise-covered rice with such delicious pieces of meat spread all throughout.

To be honest, their food is pretty inexpensive considering it lasts around two meals. (Or one if you're like me and grind CS350 from sunrise to sunset and don't eat at all during the day)

Best Lazeez location in the whole tri-cities area. Have tried all of them in kitchener/ waterloo/cambridge this is by far the best in terms of friendliness, cleanliness and consistency

The shawarma's delicious bit the place is kinda dirty. And the bathroom is in the corner. Like it's hidden or something.
