Terrible food along with poor management. Don’t waste ur time. Not a one time experience, more over the ambience is messy and male staff are very rude and pathetic towards the customers and other colleagues. Everything looks chaotic there.

Worst experience! Cheapest quality and very low quantity food. Never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone hereafter!

I bought chicken biriyani and beef fry. I would say both of them were horrible, but beef fry was the worst.

Chicken biriyani: very oily and no flavour.

Beef fry: completely burnt and overcooked, had charcoal among pieces, very hard and inedible.

Before writing this review, I called the store and a lady told me that the manager/owner is not there at the moment and took my message and my phone number. I expected the manager to call me back with this concern but no, there was no call.

Waited almost an hour when they said it would be ready in 20 and even after the wait didn’t receive the complete order.
Food tastes too salty and awful.
Not recommended.

Really expensive.please improve the food quality.i bought for takeout but really flat taste. I got a chicken biriyani.really disappointing for the price.

The place where we get good Kerala food in Toronto. Curries are good.
But the biryani is too oily and felt like it has more essence and flavours.

The above was my previous review with 4 stars, about few months back.
But recently we ordered chicken biryani, but that was terrible. Disappointment. And chicken 65 was brunt.
Porotta didnt felt like a fresh one.
And when we called them to tell about our experience, the owner was so rude and he told"it will never happen and you are critisizing purposefully and shortly come back to the shop itself for bying food. "

The food is always dry with no flavour and overpriced for the quality. The restaurant’s food should be held to a better standard when being put out because it’s barely edible and overcooked. Wouldn’t even feed my dog this and will not be buying from La Kochi again. This is not Malayali food, this is kolayaali food. Might as well have bought some fast food for a cheaper price and better standard.

Very bad experience with uncooked mutton and sauted onions in tomate paste gravy as mutton biriyani, food poising chicken biryani and burnt black chicken 65. When i told them the next day they spoke about refund but I got another call and had to reach out to them thw third day and the response was no refunds but will "TRY" for some discount. Please maintain better customer service and provide food to public. Thanks

Food took forever to reach us after ordering a takeout. Had to wait out in the cold during a pandemic (in case you didn’t notice) for nearly an hour and half. Was told 15-20 minutes wait time. If you want to brave this order at least an hour before.

Wait time 30mins for pick up.got kottayam fish curry, beef fry and kerala parotta.taste took me back to my childhood.perfect blend of taste.people who can't take heat beware although it is a thumbs up for me

Been there thrice now.they have variety in their menu.friendly service. The dish.stuffed fish wrapped in banana leaf is to die for!

Such a poor customer service and staffs are not friendly. The foods are below average. Never will come back

When it started in 2016 the restaurant was great unfortunately the quality has declined drastically. Went there today 12oct2020 and ordered a king fish fry but was served a stale one. I returned it and was offered a refund but they have lost a customer today. Wont be returning in the future.

Ordered takeout. Kerela portta the size of a saucer $1.40, beef curry with barely 10 small cubes with a lot of fat $13. Beef fry dry again mostly masala barely a dozen pieces $13. Taste is nothing to write home about. There are so many better authentic Kerala joints in Toronto where you get your money's worth. Will definitely not go again.

Ordered masala dosa, sambar.was tasting rotten and stale.never had such bad south indian food in GTA ever in my last 20 years here

Delicious, High-Quality food, Excellent service and Great Hospitality. It's the best Kerala restaurant in town. Must try for anyone looking for the most authentic tasting of Kerala food. (hats off chef)

Great place for South Indian food, especially the chicken chatti curry and the fish curry. Perfect place to go with family.

As an international student, i was missing kerala food. But this restaurant had the same amazing food, flavour and spice combinations from back home. We had a wonderful time in this restaurant. We liked the excellent environment and the menu.

Exploitation of employees working (especially international students) and not paying money for their hours or paying very less as compared to basic pay in ontario. Extremely Poor management.
Be aware and stop working for them and if possible boycott this restaurant.

I tried this restaurant for the first time and after having food I am super confident that its the last time. I ordered dosa and it was SUPER spicy. Additionally, the crust was sweet. Not only this, the samber appeared to me a thick gravy with potatoes with no taste. UNREAL, I am sure it could be anything except dosa. Sorry, but definitely NOT AT ALL a good restaurant for south indian specially dosa.

I ordered Masala dosa. It was so spicy as I could see big green chillies in it and sambar was as thick as gravy with lots of potatoes in it. Coconut chutney was OK but not authentic. Doctor has strictly asked me to avoid chillies as much as I can and told at the time of ordering to make sure that the dosas are not at all spicy and I thought it would be like guru Laxmi.but when I received it and had it. OMG? I had palpitations.their service is OK as they were very gentle in speaking no concerns for that.unfortunately this is the first and last time for me to have something from this resturant. I am sorry if I am rude but i stated the fact.

This review is for the Mississauga location, specifically about their buffet menu. Generally a buffet menu will have an even distribution of vegetarian and non vegetarian food but this one had a heavily leaning non veg spread with just one vegetarian appetizer, daal, moru curry (butter milk) and paneer. Even the rice was just plan rice. This in comparison to nearly 10 non vegetarian dishes and chicken biryani. So if you are a vegetarian I would stay away from this place as the owner himself said they don’t cater to the vegetarian clientele. Upon making a special request they reduced the price of the buffet from $15 to $13 but if not they would have charged us the same amount for really three dishes, two of which are what we typically make at home (daal and butter milk curry).

As a Keralite, I really went with great hope to find at least some of the vegetarian delicacies in the menu (kerala porotta, appam, avial, kadala curry, kurma etc.) but all I had was disappointment. Further, before ordering they mentioned they will be serving kerala porotta but once we sat down and started eating they cancelled that as well.

I won’t comment on the taste as this review is more about the choice of the food.

Mississauga restaurant does not serve Kerala style food. If you are expecting good fish fry/ fish curry/ beef fry/ prawns/appam etc in Mississauga restaurant, you will be disappointed. They serve only buffet. Brampton restaurant is the best.

Wait time is very long. We came here at 4 o clock and waited till 5: 30 to recive the order. There was no staff employed in the front end and no response from anyone.

The flavours were great but the amount of food for the price was very little. Couple pieces of chicken and a whole bowl of sauce, same with the mutton. We left hungry.

If this review was written in 2016, I would have given the place 5 stars, even with the wait. The quality of the food was amazing. I used to crave their chicken chatti curry. However, the standards have gone downhill since then. Instead of raising prices and maintaining quality (it used to be worth a long drive), the owners strategy seems to have been to cut down on the portion size and quality.

Customers aren't coming back. The place went from being packed to being nearly empty during Friday and Saturday nights. This is unfortunate because they just expanded their seating. Dishes aren't as tasty, meat portions are lower quality, perhaps reheated from previous nights, and service is slow (even when the restaurant is almost empty), and last time our family got food poisoning.

I've tried going back a couple times over the past year with the hopes that it was just an "off day", but the new normal is consistently disappointing.

The best and authentic South Indian Restaurant with rich Keralite culture-touch in the GTA. We had a birthday party yesterday. Our guests and we enjoyed the Kerala food and atmosphere. Above all, the staff and their service are exceptional; Joel, the manager and his assistant Philip were very professional and supportive. The service staff were profoundly pleasant and helpful. Especially, ‘Nidhi’, the support staff who was assigned to working with us was an amazing personality. Owners of the Le Kochi, I certify and guarantee that, Nidhi, as her name means, is certainly a ‘Treasure’ to your organization. Keep up the good work! I’ll, certainly, recommend Le Kochi to all. I've been here a few times and tried a few dishes. Some of them were really delicious and a few were very very plain. But I come back for the tasty dishes like their railway chicken bryani. My last visit I was so disappointed and for this reason I will most likely not go back. I called for pick up and the lady says 30 mins, I got there in time and the front cash lady tells me they are still packing my order. So I waited over 10 mins to COLD FOOD! When I got home ALL my dishes were COLD! It was horrible. I had to microwave all of them for over 5 mins each. It seemed like they cooked it really fast and just left it there. Sad, just sad.

The Key point to keep the standard of a restaurant is to update the menu on time before presenting it to the customers. We choose items or combos from the menu which was discontinued to serve 1 year ago as per the words of their own wait staff. Also the staff should aware what is available to serve before they approach a customer to take the order because we had to change our order 2 time due to unavailability of items which they came to know after they took the order.
The Shap Fish Curry and Gopi Manchurian was good and tastey. But Meen Pollichathu never seem like its actually fried on the pan or flat top inside the banana leaf. It felt like they cooked the fish and add the masala and just wrapped in the banana leaf. Which is a whole different method of cooking.

I please request the management to take this comment on a possitive way and improvise the service little more because you guys have such a good restaurant and nice ambience.

Worst service and low quality food. Waited for 50 min to get one basic item and what they brought to the table was cold curry and not bothered to reheat. Nothing is there in the restaurant. When a customer order a dish from menu they say they don’t have it. When I ordered Kerala Porotta, they brought reheated frozen porotta. Such a waste of money and time going to this restaurant.

Authentic indian good restaurant in brampton.food was tastefull and good quality. Good customer service.i really enjoy my dinner. I will give 5 to the food and the service. Espically they have south indian dishes its very tastefull. Thank you all lekochi members.i visit again soon

I went to Lekochi today and the experience was quiet amazing!
i had fish elayilpollicathu and it was delicious and authentic which was also enough for 2 of us. The one meter tea is one of their specialty. Good service and timely delivery especially NIdhi. I would definitely come back to Lekochi again.

I am so happy to extend my gratitude towards Le Kochi to have wonderful time with my family and all friends over there to celebrate my grand daughter ‘s birthday last week. SUPER FOOD, SERENE AMBIENCE, GENTLE STAFF, CLEAN ATMOSPHERE. Nothing more to say to the Management for maintaining such a quality!

Great place to have authentic Indian food at reasonable price. Perfect place for someone who is badly missing home food. Had two parottas with generous amount of the meat of choice between each parotta that is so delicious. It's worth the money too.

Stay Away if you don't want food poisoning.

Writing a bad review for the first time, bought food from the restaurant yesterday night. Including me four adults and one child, under 4 years, got food poison, and all are still going through same bad condition.

Went through the reviews now and saw many such same experiences. Please take the reviews seriously or else it can even lead to very serious issues!

We are still trying to call the restaurant but no response yet! Hope will get a response soon

Not looking for a refund!

Best kerala foods ever had in my life.food quality and quantity is amazing. I was bit concerned seeing many negative reviews about the food and service, as I went with my dear ones. But the ambience was very serene in nature. We ordered a wide variety of foods. Though it took 35 mts for us to get the food which was ordered, the taste of food did worth it. My kids loved the mutton biriyani!
Staff who attended us was very polite! She didn’t forget to apologize for the delay. The washrooms were so clean which is very unusual in such a busy restaurant.
Way to go! Keep it up guys!

Do u guys even have dosas ‍️‍️. Always ran out of Dosas. That’s supper weird. Even while making reservations no one makes it clear ahead of time that they are not carrying it anymore for the day; Super unprofessional

I reserve 5 star for the exceptional now a days. The restaurant has expanded so there is enough place for everyone. Amazing friendly staff, great ambience and good food gets them 4 star. I can give 4.5 for this place. Their Mango smoothie was ridiculously tasty. Meen polichathe, paratta n gobi machurian was second in my list. Biriyani is third and beef is 4th.

My family and I always come here, however the quality of the food and its service has greatly decreased within the last year. We came just today and told the waitress about how the last time we came to the restaurant the briyani we got was cold and asked to ensure that the briyani was heated. When we got it what ever was on the top was warm but the rice and mutton was cold.

It’s wonderful experience.we celebrated the labourday with lekochi I thank my dear friends for recommending me one of the best restaurants in gta.we will come back again

I used to like this place. Have recommended to others as well. I speak to the owner everytime I go there. But it was in January when I went there with my friends, 12 of us and the food was tasty.but the moment everyone reached home we started throwing up and had to be in the washroom all night.we thought it was just indigestion and did not bother much.
We went there yesterday, had a mutton biryani and chicken biryani.aside from the long wait and not getting the beef curry which we had also ordered.we loved the biryani.as usual.the moment we reached home.me and my wife started having stomach ache. Until now I must have been to the washroom 5 times. I also had packed the remaining biryani and I had left it in the fridge.the moment I took it out today. I could smell that it had gone bad. I feel the Food is just reheated when it gets busy or I am not sure what they are doing with the food or how old the food is or even the food is not prepared in proper temperature. It tastes good when it is hot but the moment it is left for a bit it would start smelling.

My request to the management is that you really need to look into the food quality and freshness as it used to be in the beginning! AND I hope we are gonna be ok by tomorrow or we may be going to a doctor.
