Food was served so quickly, it tasted like it had been prepared hours in advance. Chicken was dry and plantains were definitely not fresh. The food was hardly warm

Food is okay at best, service is abysmal. Ordered 2 chicken and rice combos prices at $12 each, and 1 order of fried plantain priced at $6. Please tell me why that came to a total of $48? After some back and forth it seemed like he just defaulted to giving me the order of full chicken AND full rice x2 instead of the combos that I clearly asked for. Was already made for me so I felt like I just had to take it, just to eat it and be very underwhelmed, like it’s just boring old flavorless chicken and flavorless rice. I truly don’t understand.

Bruv. Anyone who takes you here probably hates you. Better food is served in shelters. Zero customer service. Absolutely zero. Was served chicken which was prepared about five years ago. Rice was bland. Like who can’t cook rice. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I am a regular at le Plato. An authentic African cuisine restaurant. I always go for the Garba, allôco and chicken. Also recommend de drink bissap. You won’t regret it. Great service and great food

My husnband loved the grilled tilapia. I came a bit late, they were closing in a couple minutes but they accepted my order and prepared it for me. Thanks guys. Keep it up.

We went there with a cousin and her friend.the rice was completely rotten. Upon arriving we overheard girls telling them that they will end up losing customers if they continue their poor service. We should have listened to those girls. How you can serve rotten rice to customers?

Nous sommes venus ma famille et moi à Toronto pour le long week-end. Nous avions envie de manger la cuisine africaine. J'ai commandé 3 portions d'alloco (bananes plantains), 1poulet entier, 2 chevres, 1 fumbwa, 2 chikwanges. Malheureusement, nous avons été dessus. La chikwange avait un goût amer et n'était pas blanche. L'alloco (banane platain) etait dur comme ci s'etait precuit congelé, grillé seulement lors de la commande (Ce n'etait pas fait à l'ivoirienne), La chèvre etait passable. Le poulet, nous sommes très déçu meme pas braisé. Ce n'etait pas du mangeable. Ça a juste etait mis au four et aucun goût. Le fumbwa (je n'en tiens pas rigueur) car le monsieur au comptoir m'avait prevu de prendre une portion au cas je n'aimerait pas. Avoir dépensé 112$. Je m'attendais à mieux. Je ne recommande pas.

Tiny menu and food I ordered was tasty. Service is extremely casual and weird. The man serving, brother of the cook is extremely annoying and creepy. At first I thought he was being courteous and friendly. He asked super personal questions. He asked if I’m on social media and when I said no he asked what I was doing on my phone, asked what my ethnicity is, asked my status if single, asked how big is my home, asked what I bought in my bags from where and how much it cost and he peered into my bag too, asked my age and wouldn’t let it drop when I refused to tell, and asked if I want to go to Africa, etc.). Just get out of my face. Idk how long I was there maybe 15 minutes when I was waiting for the food being badgered. I will decide if I ever want to return since there’s stuff I’d like to try without creepy man working. It he didn’t work there or acted normal I’d rate higher based on food alone, but his creepiness is creepy and annoying. His sister needs to have a major sit down talk with him to discuss how to serve customers and act like a normal person in society. Ladies beware…it doesn’t matter what you look like or what you’re wearing you’ll not be left alone!

This place is cool. Open to newcomers and got delicious fried plantains. I’d recommend. Thanks!

Also they play music from all over Africa. I was introduced to and fell in love with Congo music for the first time

Amazing food and service. The owner is so genuine and welcoming. The goat melted in our mouths, truly incredible. Also, they definitely have the best jollof rice we have ever had! Highly recommend this restaurant!
