After visiting countless venues, I finally found the perfect restaurant to host my private party! I rented the entire penthouse which seated approximately 70 guests comfortably. The service was excellent, the views were stunning and the food was phenomenal! I would also like to mention Shannon and Ryan, owners, hosts and chef of Le St-Laurent who, both were extremely accommodating, flexible and provided invaluable guidance, showing patience throughout my planning phase. I highly recommend Le St-Laurent for your next evening out or venue for a private event.

The restaurant has an elegant and sophisticated ambiance, and the service throughout our visit was fantastic. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, which made us feel right at home.

One thing that really stood out to me was their great selection of gins. I'm a gin enthusiast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks they served.

The view from the penthouse of this building is breathtaking, and it offers a unique perspective of downtown Ottawa. We were able to see the Parliament building from afar, but also had an up-close view of the National Military Cemetery. It was an amazing sight to behold.

When it came to the food, we were not overwhelmed but not disappointed either. The dishes were tasty and had great portion sizes. However, the dessert of pouding chomeur was just fine - nothing special. It would have been next to tasteless if not for the ice cream. Those who remember pouding chomeur from their younger days might have been disappointed.

Overall, Le St Laurent is a restaurant that I would recommend you give a try for anyone looking for a new dining experience in Ottawa. The combination of the view, great service, fantastic drinks, and delicious food make it a must-visit for anyone in the area. While the dessert was not the highlight of the meal, it did not take away from the overall experience. I would definitely try this restaurant again in the future.

Amazing restaurant and staff. Food is always so good and the drinks are spot on. This is definitely a hidden gem restaurant in Ottawa that is not downtown.

Had a great experience last night. Appetizers (beat salad and the fois gras) were delicious and the mains (braised short rib and the scallops with pork belly). So good. We had a bottle of Ramsey (California Cabernet). Superb. Also had an old fashion. Everything was fantastic, from the staff, the food and the chef. They even gave us some nice ice wine. Highly recommend this place.

Great view! Fantastic service! Awesome food! I would say the place could use valet parking.

Overall the food and service is very good. I had the duck and my friend had the beef short rib as entrees. We loved the view from the PH.
They had “Pouding Chomeur” (my favorite French-Canadian dessert) on the menu, unfortunately it was disappointing - it wasn’t served with ice cream and it was rather bland.

The food was incredible. A true hidden gem with a view of Ottawa that I've never seen before. I'll be back!

Absolutely fantastic experience on our first time visit for dinner. The service from the moment you walk in the front door is incredible and remains throughout the entire meal. Everyone is friendly and happy to serve. Food is impeccable in flavour and presentation. Restaurant ambiance is excellent as well and plenty of parking. Will definitely be coming back. Le St. Laurent is an absolute lovely dining experience. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and romantic, with a spectacular view of downtown.
We were already entranced by the atmosphere, and then the food came. A happy surprise to have bread with the starters (yay) and the mains were delicious. I treated myself to steak & frites, while my fiancé had scallops and pork belly. We were both heavily impressed.
I highly recommend Le St. Laurent! It will definitely be a date-night favourite!

My brother recommended Le St Laurent to my husband and I. We just had an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner there. It was a set menu with 2 options for each course. Since this was our first visit we decided to order one of each option to get a full sample of the restaurant’s fare. We were very impressed with the service, presentation, quality and flavour of each dish. So much so we’ve already made a reservation for our next special occasion. This may just become one of our favourite places!

The food was great! Server was very friendly but the ambiance of the restaurant was lacking. Took my wife for a nice dinner but it was unfortunately ruined by the table of 4 beside us who were swearing the whole time and doing sports trivia on their phones. I feel like management should have said something to them as you could tell others were annoyed as well.

Enjoyed the food! The foie gras is so rich, with the peach puree taste so good. The pork belly is not greasy, wondering it is baby pork! The service is good. Enjoyed the sunset too!

From the first contact with Shannon to organize a dinner for 27 people following the Funeral of my Father, the experience was impeccable.
We enjoyed a spectacular meal amongst family and friends! An amazing view to amazing service from all.
Not one complaint! I recommend Le St. Laurent to all, but perhaps I should keep it a secret as it is a true an East end Gem!

Delicious meal with very pleasant staff and a beautiful view from the pent house. I had a main with rabbit and shared a few appetizers, all of which were amazing. The toffee dessert I shared was a bit underwhelming but by no means bad. Definitely recommended.

This is a very good French restaurant. The menu changes on a regular basis with limited selections each day. It has a beautiful view all the way to downtown. The service is excellent and the staff are very pleasant. I would recommend the place for a special dinner.

My husband and I enjoyed your restaurant very much this weekend. My only issue was the elevator service, we ended up in the main lobby opposed to the exit doors leading us to parking area. Lucky for us, a well nice dress gentlemen working at the desk that evening, gladly helps us find our way out of the building. We appreciated his hospitality.

We dined out last night at the Le St Laurent a Penthouse restaurant not far from the 403.everything in Ottawa is only 10 minutes away.

Great views of the Ottawa city skyline as well as the Gatineau.

We started with martinis.gin.for my Mom and brother.and Grey Goose vodka for me.

For starters James and I had beet salad.included in the salad were mellon ball size pickled apples.which were spectacular! Mom had the soup made with root vegetables and apple.she is still raving about it this morning.

We selected our wines to have with the entrees. James selected a Pinot Noir, I selected a Grenache (I have always preferred reds as I tend to find whites too acidic), and Mom after sampling the entire selection of whites settled on the Pinot Grigio.

For the mains Mom and I had the scallops and James the rabbit. Both dishes were great.complex tastes that were delicious.

Dessert was Sticky Toffee Pudding with homemade vanilla bean ice cream for James and Creme Brule for Mom and I. I will note the caramelized sugar topping on the Creme Brule was just a tad thick for our liking but overall it was delish.

Will definitely visit the restaurant again.special note.due to Covid-19, seating is very limited, and appreciated!

PS. I need to add the staff was great.they make you feel welcomed and special!

This restaurant is an excellent experience that I would recommend to those who appreciate excellent food, outstanding service and a captivating view. We hosted a dinner for 10 and Chef Ryan was so accommodating to help us put a set menu together. Our server was Jerry that evening and he was attentive to every guest at out table. This evening was the cherry on top to a perfect day. Thank you Ryan and your team.

Amazing experience! Ryan’s Rabbit was superb…. Many different flavors. The presentations of our appetizers and entrees were pleasing to the eye. The service was excellent and the views are breath taking!

It was our first time here, and it was excellent. The (very) friendly and professional service made us feel very comfortable and at home. They took great care with Covid precautions, but it still felt like a normal evening out. The view looking out over Ottawa was beautiful.

We shared a three beet salad with pickled apples and hazelnuts and a goat cheese croquet. Really wonderful. For dinner, we had the beef short ribs with brussel sprouts and potato pave. I'm not a big fan of brussel sprouts, but these were really tasty. The short rib was cooked perfectly, tender and melt in your mouth. The other main was steak frites. The steak was medium rare, cooked perfectly, and the frites were seasoned very nicely. The portions were definitely not small, and well worth the price. As an anniversary meal, and our first time out for dinner together since the pandemic started, this was really the perfect place to go. Apologies for the poor quality photos!

Ryan and crew are simply the best. Amazing food and the cocktails are truly among the best in the city. Treat yourself and enjoy the incredible view to boot.
