Lee Valley

I bought a solar light from Kitchener Lee Valley and it was great. I wanted another one. They didn't have any more (promotion item) and didn't know if there would be more, so I put a note in their suggestion box that they try, as it was a good item. I suddenly got a call from them saying the lights were in how many did I want? Wonderful service!

Lee Valley Waterloo is the best. The service is head and shoulders above the big box stores, you'll never want to shop anywhere else after coming here! They even spent a bunch of time sorting through a pile of odds n ends to find me a specific dowel that I needed for a project. Thanks a ton, see you again soon!

Update 2023-10-12: still nice and quiet. Staff approached me but wasn't pushy. Picked up my online order with zero hassle, and dude made sure I knew the process so my next pickup will be even faster.

The store is quiet like a church (hallelujah). Expect to spend an hour worshipping items you wish you needed, then to pay a premium for the best tool around. I just spent enough on one chisel that I could have purchased seven or eight from Home Depot - and I don't feel badly about it at all.

Some items (precision planes) are so small an infant would find them hard to grip. The router bits are available small through large - be careful to get the right shaft for your collet, as they carry both Imperial and metric. I've purchased incorrectly before and was stuck waiting for a metric collet to arrive.

I have been shopping at this location for the past three years. The service provided has been consistently better than what I have experienced at other retailers. There are always staff on shift who can provide insight and feedback on products I am interested in; much of the staff are woodworking enthusiasts!

Pricing is competitive when comparing apples to apples. The staff here are knowledgeable and professional.

I went in close to closing but lady still cheerfully helped me with my purchase of a quality bird feeder. One can always count on getting the best at Lee Valley

Wonderful tools. Easy to spend way more than you intended. Helpful staff.

I came in looking for a certain product and maybe some helpful advice when an old employee with knee high lookin compression socks came to "help". He told me they didn't have the product, and told me to go to another store and to "try doing more "research" as if trying to actively get me of the store. I decided to try and ask if I could use something they did have as a substitute though he said it would be too hard for me to use, and I'd need a "level of skill"in order to have it look nice. I finally gave up and said guess I'll just do some more "research" to which he replied, "Yeah, I think that's best. " In the most patronizing way possible and looking down at me, literally as he was taller. I left extremely annoyed and a terrible sales man he was. Fine store other wise though

Great quality garden and home goods. Found a fabulous stainless kitchen waste bin.love it. Well made and well priced too.

Very cool store. I plan on returning when I have more time. I'm a fan of collecting knives with interesting history. Found the Douk Douk and Opinel 8. I think my next purchase is a decent axe.
