Loved their Doubles, it’s just whoever you go to that facility they have something going on, like they do not accept credit cards but overall experience can be improved
Called to order over the phone and it's like I couldn't talk fast enough for the girl on the phone. It was like I was bothering her by wanting to spend my money and pay her salary. Food was good as always but the service is getting to the point where I don't know how much longer the pros of the food will outweigh the cons of the poor service
When visiting Mississauga always go for Roti. Sometimes busy, definitely worth the wait. This trip packed 4 goat roti and 10 dal puri to bring home to PEI. Looking forward to roti all winter!
We stopped by Leela's for dinner. I ordered the Boneless goat, it was not goat, it was dry beef, who know from how many days, definitely not fresh. Rude customer service.
Love everything i have tried here and I think i have tried almost everything. I have been going here for years. The food is always consistent in taste and quality. Give this place a try if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.
I placed an order at 7: 10pm (and offered to give deposit). I told the individual I spoke to on the phone I will be there by 7: 30pm.my wife and myself were on route.our gps said we were going to get there at 7: 41pm. I called them to notify them we’re stuck in traffic. I was told nothings is ready and I had to come there at a certain time and they hung up.from a small business owner.how management dealt with the situation was horrible.the food is great but the customer service and management is complete trash! Trash is an understatement
Food was great, their vegan options (doubles, veggie platter) were delicious and worth the money. Definitely going back, loved their hot sauce, it was fresh and spicy.
I use to come here once a week when I lived down the street. Very kind family owned business with great food that I no longer can enjoy since I’m moved to the west coast. Now I recommend this spot to my friends when they travel to Toronto!
Made an online order, 20 minute prep time. Arrived, waited another 15 minutes inside a very crowded space. Travelled an hour back home to find order was wrong. Can’t PERSONALLY comment on food, because they replaced my food item with something I cannot eat, so I didn’t eat. The veg platter we bought for breakfast next day was missing an item. Not a great first experience. I saw three people handle my order and it still got messed up. Better part of 2 hour round trip for the wrong order…disappointing. 3 stars is generous.
I'm a picky eater when it comes to Carribean restaurant but Leelas never fails to surprise me. My mom introduced me to this location over 10+ years ago and whenever I'm craving Roti I travel from Toronto to Mississauga. I'm happy to see how successful they have grown, word has got out and Leela's is the place to go!
Flavors of Southern Caribbean.rich in spices and very delicious. Wakes up every tastebud.just like mom used to. Located just west of Mavis and Rathburn. Your go to place for Caribbean flavors.
The fry bake was good, but the tomato and saltfish could have been better as there was no salt in the saltfish. Nevertheless, I would come back to try another dish on their menu
Best Trinidadian food in Mississauga, great specials during the week! Be sure to try some of their lunch items! Delicious all around and family run, you can see the pride and care in the food, service, and cleanliness of the place!
First time trying Leela’s and I was pleasantly surprised at how similar Caribbean food is to South Asian food. I was told to order “doubles” which was lentil wrapped in roti (very much like a south Asian Puri”) the lentil was channa. I also tried their jerk chicken with rice and peas and while I asked them to make it spicy it wasn’t. They did however provide a spicy sauce with it which complimented the rice and jerk chicken very well. Overall I would say you must try it if you haven’t had Caribbean food. But for me I think this was the last time I’m visiting it at least this year. The food and taste wasn’t something that I would have wanted seconds of.
I think I will stick to my usual place for roti. This was my first time ordering from Leela's. I ordered boneless goat roti, well I got a lot of roti but not so much boneless goat. Once you get past all the roti and find some actual goat the taste was alright but like I said I will go to my usual place that stuffs the roti with plenty of goat. Not worth it in my opinion.
Heat level is weak. I asked for as hot as they could make it, and got at best a 3/10 on the heat scale. Roti and double were fine though, tastes ok, but if you like heat this isn't the place for you. Make the trip up to Lenas, they know heat, this place not so much.
The lady sweeping was so rude. I know it was the end of the day. When asked politely at least have the courtesy to reply nicely. I drove from Vaughan to be treated so badly. The food is great but the service is very very bad.
It was my first experience at Leela's today. The experience at the counter was pleasant & mostly professional (because none of us are perfect). The food items I had were tasty and fresh. I would definitely use Leela's again and recommend them to others. Keep up the good attitude and never slack on your customer service from the door entrance to the counter. Thank you for a pleasurable take out experience
This place has the BEST jerk chicken and doubles (make sure you ask for the hot sauce - it’s deadly!). The only issue is it’s near impossible to get a hold of them for a pickup order. Have to call several times which can be very frustrating. I really wish they fix this issue.
Mary. The owner and the cashiers are very, very rude. They screw up orders and blame the customer. I spoke to all three after realizing tge order was not what I requested and they said sorry we can't do anything for you. I drove from brampton to pick up my order only to be met by incompetence. Do not eat here!
Some of the best Doubles I've had, and my Trini friends seem to agree. I also loved the goat and the chicken roti in a dhalpuri roti (chick peas inside). I love me a good Caribbean roti and this is definitely the best or second best in the GTA.
Heads up, the pepper sauce is legit. I can handle my spice, but their pepper sauce will make even the most macho men and women cry. I love it!
Totally amazing boneless white meat chicken Roti. My favourite! The small is so filling and the large size is super large. Excellent. Super tasty. A fan favourite with the East Mississauga locals. Super amazing menu items! Great friendly service.a nice eat in or take out spot. They also have a special on certain days for people who like dark meat boneless chicken Roti.
I ordered 4 Tuesday specials and 4 doubles. Just horrible! Chicken curry with rice. Like 2 boney pieces. Goat was bland and mostly bones. The Tuesday special in roti wrap. Literally has 1 piece of chicken. Spent like $40 and barely any food. Doubles had no flavor. Will never eat there again. Super dissatisfied and disappointed.
Rodney Thompson, was giving poison in his fish dinner, Nov/8/2018. Leeela’s Roti & Doubles restaurant owners and staff are part of a secret terrorism network in Canada. Was poison by this restaurant in behalf of the secret terrorism network. Harper & Associates, and ISIS.
Really good Curry Chicken Roti. My wife had the Jerk Chicken Roti, she loved it! My son had Curry Chicken Roti, Says it's the best roti he has ever had! I rank Leela's #1. I will be back.
They are in the top 5 roti and doubles in the GTA. Been a few times and it's consistently good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pretty clean place. Take out syle ordering system.
Its the only decent roti shop in this immediate area, prices are a bit high but due to the scarcity of these restaurants in the Mississauga area, the price is what I'd expect.
The search is over. Best roti in the GTA. Loved my experience in Montreal and couldn't find a comparable one in Toronto. I came across Leela's accidentally, and I'm so glad decided to try it out! Flavour of the boneless chicken was But the roti wrap had such great texture and flavour! Will be back with friends!
The food is absolutely delicious. It's fresh and you can tell it was made to order. The place is pretty small, and seating is limited. They do have deals of the day which are reasonably priced.
Consistent traffic of customers and the food is typically very fresh. Though the curries aren't as flavourful as other Caribbean spots, the doubles, and roti are consistently good. The service is friendly, and the pepper sauce is fantastic.
I ordered 300 roti’s stuffed with either chicken, goat or potato chickpea curry for a family event. Leela’s was great! I had given my order in with short notice and they were still able to deliver. My family is a huge Guyanese family and of course we have other cultures too and everyone loved the food. My aunt that lives in Toronto wants to order from them now for her anniversary. Very impressed and thankful for their service and help.
First time coming to this restaurant. Very nice and welcoming experience and the food was great. The staff was also friendly and patient with us as we decided on our order. The wait was a little long but it was worth it once we got our food. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to bring their family out for a nice Caribbean meal!
Food is represented of great Trinidad good. Would highly recommend their food. We order all the time for work and their quality is always consistent. Best rotis in Mississauga.
The food was delicious, fresh and served quickly. It’s a quality sit down place for a quick bite or for take out. I had the veggie plate with fried okra, fried beans, tomato salt fish and mango curry. The goat curry could be more tender or fatty. Each dish had its own unique flavour and texture. The best part about the meal was the paratha roti. I would recommend this restaurant if you are craving some comfort food!
I've been long over due for some roti and let me tell you I'm never disappointed here. Its was late close to closing I received a little extra on the side. Made my day. Love you guys. Always a good talk or something happening. Reminds me of my great grand ma's cooking.
Great place for Trini foods. Foods is always fresh and tasty. I always take doubles and Dalpuri with boneless chicken curry or Dalpuri with potato. The food reflect the Trinidad culture and maybe north east India and do have a similarity with Mauritian foods especially the curries and Dalpuri. I enjoyed each time.
It's hard to find a roti stop that is open on a Sunday or even Monday. The craving for my nephew and I came on a Sunday and we looked up and found Leela's. We were both pleasantly surprised. The pricing of everything was great and the food was also excellent. I tried doubles for the first time. What a treat! I would definitely return to Leela's in a heartbeat!:)
