Awesome experience if you are truly eligible. The only thing is if you use a recorder for whatever reasons you have to disclose or stop the recording. I suggest finding out if you are in fact eligible before calling to avoid frustration.

Legal Aid has refused to help my daughter by not issuing her a certificate trusting in the word of a lawyer who dropped her case based on lies that she did not provide the requested paperwork in which she showed them proof she did when she proved that she sent all that she was asked to provide. This is a family court case my daughter is not a criminal and even if she was can you tell me when citizens are denied assistance to have legal representation? #ministryoftheattorneygeneral #legalaidontario

Barely any lawyers on the legal aid website are taking on Legal Aid cases. In order to be eligible your income must be under $22,000 which is ridiculous & it takes hours to speak to a representative.

Horrible I desperately needed legal aid and they told me a bunch of lies that weren't even true

If you don’t know I’ll let you know. Lawyers that take legal aid do the bare minimum and will even screw you over. Your best bet is to pay a good lawyer. If you have to use a legal aid lawyer be very cautious and question everything the advise you on. You will need to put in some of your own work and effort for the case to work in your favour.

She does not listen or acknowledge my requests or instructions.

These people worked hard to ensure that you have the best service. They gave you hope when you want to give up. They will continue to work hard for all their clients. May the good lord continue to be with them.

I left one bad lawyer and took her recommendation to come here. I wish I never did. Alison C Rhoades delayed me another 7 months for no reason except for the fact that she didn't want to work. Always blaming Covid as the problem. I went with another lawyer and received my decision from court in 1 month DURING A PANDEMIC. Also she was unprofessional and talked about my husband badly which had nothing to do with my case. She delayed giving my documents when I fired her.

Today I did a call, the girl that attended me was so lovable and patience and gave me resources that are going to help me a lot. I appreciate it. (Y)
