I recently had problems with one of my seats coming apart at the seams. Not being sure if it would be covered under warranty base on the age of my boat, I posted the question on the Legend Boat Owners group. It didn’t take long before a Legend Staff person responded and provided the process details for the seat being covered under warranty. The next morning, first thing I received an email from Legend advising the warranty application was completed and a seat was available for pickup, by 2pm I had a new seat. So, less than 24 hrs my issue was resolved. Big thanks to the two Legend employees for their fast and excellent service.

LEGEND IS NOT ONLY THE NAME, IT'S ALSO THE EXPERIENCE!

As a first time boat buyer, I was a tad nervous walking into the lion's den. I had researched my boat online and was super excited to take my son and make a day of it at the Toronto Boat Show. I was immediately introduced to my sales associate, Anthony Nichols.

Talk about professionalism. Anthony let me be the boating rookie that I am. Every question I had was quite novice and I never ONCE felt any kind of sales pressure. Literally.

When I felt comfortable in moving forward with the purchase (which did not take long), the process was a well oiled machine. Everyone in the process had a smile. They offered my son crayons, colouring book, apple juice, Spiderman glasses and a hat. More importantly, Anthony asked a lot of questions about my family. It was genuine. He also answered a lot of questions that I had about his as well.

I was then moved over to discuss financing with Lisa. She is super down to earth and full of smiles as well. Super informative and followed up the day after with a thank you call. I look forward to speaking with her again.

I also received a call the next day from Tony who is the Director of Customer Service. Legend's customer service is beyond the "norm".

I have been in sales for well over 20 years. I can spot a money hungry associate a mile away. This team and company is the genuine article!

Their boats kick F@#%ING butt as well.:)

Legend provided the best customer service and pricing on comparable boat models out of all the other boat companies while at the Toronto boat show. We were made to feel like VIPs at every step of the process! Would 100% recommend becoming part of the Legend family.
Our “memory maker” Josh was knowledgeable, extremely friendly and genuinely appreciative for our business. It was so refreshing to experience quality customer service and receive an amazing boat at a fair price. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with Legend.

Talking about customer service - Nancy went over, above, and beyond to help us in our recent boating scenario. We recently bought a boat from a private sale and were having trouble transferring things over. In the midst of everything we reached out to Legend Boats Barrie as we thought the original purchase was from them - despite us finding out it wasn't - Nancy still helped me track down all the information we needed while also respecting the previous owner's privacy and reaching out to them to verify it was okay to provide me with the info. She is an exemplary example of how kindness can go a long way! Thanks so much Nancy!

To be completely honest. I found these guys disorganized, not up front with their customers, lack communication amongst themselves and you kind of get left in the dark, Until they need something from you like insurance (which i have an email stating wouldn't be paying until the trolling motor is in. But its not and I've been paying since January)

Also when asked about the motor and other parts that were backordered sales manager Henry told me to “hurry up and wait”. Which he admitted isn't the best customer service but all he can do.

Now if i had just waited i would be here with a barebones boat, but i sourced 90% of the parts myself.

Lastly i picked up my boat today, to find out when i got there my sales Rep Jeremy was not on site (which he was) and wouldn't be able to do the delivery. So i had Brandon my specialist, and a gentlemen I believe named Colin.

The reason I'm giving these guys two stars is because of the last minute sales rep who had noticed pieces missing himself and went to get the pieces put on my boat then hand washed my covers on his accord not mine.

I could go on but I do understand people have better experiences with them. But it wasn't the case for me. I do hope management finds this review and uses it as an example to better their customer service.

I was a Legend owner prior to this, now I decided to get a new boat, I was treated like a Queen when I order the boat then the lies started. I order the boat in May, I was supposed to get in June, I was told the boat was in stock and to make it short I got the boat at the end of August 2021 with no cover, I asked them to provide something for the transportation, no help, my partner went to pick up the boat and had to go and pick up a basic boat cover at Canadian Tire to transport the boat to our place over 3 hours drive. The engine starting giving us problems from the beginning, the boat will lift and wouldn't come down no matter what, not even three weeks had passed and the screws where popping all over the place, one of the covers of the live well caved in completely, ignition lose, key was spinning all over, and so on. The sales manager was rude beyond any understanding he even told me, return the boat I can re sell it tomorrow! I found a different legend dealer locally here and they are taking care of all the repairs. Terrible experience and they still haven't given me the original cover not even a phone call to update me. Today I called to request a change in the payment method and they hang up on me.

Legend Boats Barries has amazing service. I needed to replace the wheel bearings on my trailer and didn’t know what size it was. Manager went out of her way to find the part size for me which was very nice of her. Guys at parts and service are very nice and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend

Had such an amazing experience the first time buying a boat I bought my second from legend boats Barrie. Very professional and family friendly, great experience in every way. Henry my sales agent kept me updated on the entire process and went over and above in every way. When the time comes I'll be buying my third there as well:)

I bought a used legend boat last fall and thought I would take it into the legend dealer in Barrie so they could go over everything report back to me, and get it winterized. What a mistake that was!
When I got home and started to review my invoice I noticed I had not received all paper work pertaining to the work that was to be done.
I called the Peter who was my service contact, when I confronted Peter on the missing printouts he assured me that all the work was completed.
When Peter went to check with service they said that part of was not done due to not having the correct tools. But on my invoice it specifically says all the work was done and the report was printed but nobody could provide me with said printout!
After an hour of talking with Peter he assured me that if I contact him in the spring they would ether complete the work that was not done in the fall or gladly reimburse me for that. Which did give me a little comfort.
Well, spring has arrived and Peter is not there so I had to speak to someone else, Brandon,
We spoke for about half an hour and to my dismay Brandon would not honour the agreement made with Peter.
After this I was left frustrated as hell.
I paid for a service that was never done,
Legend boats in innisfil lied on there invoice and have charged me for work that was not complete.
I would never ever recommend this location to anyone.
If you are looking for fair and reputable service on your boat go someplace else do not take your boat to legend boats in innisfil as you will be charged for work that is not being done.

For the record I called 3 other marina’s and boat dealers to get a quote on the service that legend charged me for but did not do and the average price for the incomplete work would have been $150
And for the record my total bill for all that was done and said to be done was almost $ 1800
So for the sake of reimbursing the $150 for the work they lied on there invoice about doing they have lost a customer and any good review they would have hoped to get

My wife and I came to see a pontoon, but they wouldn't let us into the showroom unless we payed a $500 deposit. If I have to pay some clown $500 to get in I'd rather go to Cirque du Soleil. I will take my business elsewhere and never visit this place again.

Bought my boat last year and service was great. I am now having issues with my fish finder and guess what I can’t get a return phone call now. I’m looking to upgrade next year to an 18 and it won’t be from them.

We received our new Legend Pontoon a little over a week ago and I would have posted a review earlier but we've been too busy enjoying it! Our experience with Legend Boats and in particular Henry Nguyen was top notch! This being our first boat purchase we were a bit lacking in the knowledge and experience needed to ask the right questions and to get the right answers. Our top priority was to find the perfect boat to fit our lifestyle! From the very onset Henry seemed to anticipate our every need and together we found the PERFECT boat for our family! He continuously went above and beyond and never made us feel like we were the inexperienced new boaters we actually were. I cannot say enough about this salesman! His knowledge, experience, dedication and devotion to his customers and clients is truly inspiring and we are beyond grateful! Thank you Henry and thank you Legend Boats!

I have been a part of the family for years. Up until this year I would always recommend Legend boat to all, and I think I will moving forward. The place where I have an issue is with service. When dealing with Chris no problems always returned my calls and produced a great customer service. The manager great person to deal with. Henry an absolutely percent knowledgeable person and great people skills. But there are people on service that need to go to school for their people skills. I am a proud owner of an F19 but had issue with gas tank was told two weeks i would have it done. I'm now going into week 4 with no boat. I was asked to give a survey on service and am now being ignored by this service person. Not a sign of good customer service. But like I said I can't judge legend boats because of 1 bad apple.a courtesy call on status does go along ways just saying.

Had our boat winterized last year and shrink wrapped.brand new boat.the boat deck was left with muddy boot prints, the engine cover was scratched, the spedometer didn't work in the spring. Still having it winterized there but covering it ourselves this year.

**** I strongly recommend using your own finacing, as I wish I did and now im looking to get a company to take desjardins loan over. Great experience in terms of being helped out at the shop with any questions regarding the boat. Great boat. Few minor dings and scratches on a brand new boat. One on my motor, one on my dash and one on the side of my window arm. All minor and cosmetic but supposed to be brand new. Also floor model boat fishfinder had navionics and side scan. Not on my fishfinder when I picked up my boat. Otherwise the staff were very helpful and friendly. They informed me of stuff needed that wasnt included in price like travel covers and motor support arm for travel. Also suggested proper electrical plug ins for downriggers which makes for a cleaner connection. Overall good experience I just expected a little better shaped new boat and the fishfinder to have all the features as the floor model.

Bad service when I picked up the boat Braden said it will be washed and cleaned
And did not happen lack of communication not a good way to take care of paying customers it makes me go to to other boat dealers to buy equipment for being a Canadian company

Got ripped off and regret my purchase. Fuel tank came filled with water and drivers seat collapsed in on me. Had to paddle boat ashore on first trip out. It was a used boat but was priced as ready to use and advertised as "ease of mind backed up with warranty" which was useless. Repairs came out of my pocket to get motor working and fix the seat. Kevin was great dealing with in sales, however they do not back up any issues if they occur. Manager not accommodating at all. Fuel sample in image was after I topped the tank with fresh fuel as recommended when picking up the boat.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff made buying our first boat very easy. Dealt with Henry, John & Jeff and they were all very helpful. Even going the extra mile to give us there phone numbers to text/call directly if we have any issues as we are first time boat owners.

Very friendly and comfortable atmosphere to begin with. I was offered to look around the show room and take as much time as I’d like with no pressure behind me. Then when I needed assistance they came right to my aid and help me to find the exact boat I was looking for.

The sales guy Jake answered all my questions no matter what kind I asked. He took his Time to assist me with my needs what I wanted and even specific sizes from height to storage

I am one of those guys that become very uncomfortable when I walk into a car dealership I did not get this feeling walking into legend boats. Instead I was welcomed with a coffee and proceeded to look around.

They really do stick behind their boats and have a pride like no other

I would recommend anyone who is looking to buy a new boat to make your first stop legend boats. You will not be disappointed as a matter fact I believe it will be your first and last stop then a purchase of a new boat.

All pricing is upfront no hidden fees and straightforward one of the best places to deal with

We purchased a 2018 18 XR from legend boats in Innisfil last June. Unfortunately I'm inexperienced in boats and I purchased it for my husband as a surprise Father's Day gift. I relied on the salesperson's expertise and honest opinion. I asked him to recommend a large fishing boat but small enough to fit in a standard size garbage. He recommended the 18 XR which does NOT fit in a standard size garage. My husband tried to make it work last summer but it was inconvenient having it stored elsewhere. I called today to see what our trade in options are. We'd be losing more than $10,000. And apparently, the salesperson I dealt with last year got fired. Well that doesn't really solve my dilemma and losing $10K+ because of someone's dishonesty isn't fair. I wasnt even offered the option of someone coming to my home to ensure the boat would've fit before purchasing it (I was only made aware of this today. Too late). Very disappointed with the costumer service. Legend boats should take responsibility for their employees dishonesty

We highly recommend Legend Boats of Barrie. Our recent sales experience was excellent. We purchased a Legend 16 XCalibur hybrid fishing/ski boat. Jake, our sales representative, was very pleasant, professional, informed and mindful of our budget right from the beginning. We wanted a used boat, and he listened to our requirements and found us a quality boat that met our needs and budget! Even after our purchase, we were still comparison-shopping to validate what we bought. Jake went the extra mile and provided us with detailed comparisons to show us what we purchased was of great quality for the price! John, the finance representative, was very easy-going and personable when discussing extended warranty. We even met folks from the service department who were also happy to help in any way possible. We never felt pressured or offered any features we didn't need. This dealership puts the customer first - we can't wait to get our boat in the water! Thank you team Legend, well-done!

So I just bought a 2019 F-19 Legend, tricked out for SERIOUS fishing and i have to say the customer service so far has been EXCELLENT. The up-front, on the website pricing is awesome - no guess work, no hidden fees. I was looking at a Crestliner in the same size and style, but in the end the up front pricing and awesome customer service made it a no-brainer: Legend was getting my money. John the financing guy - easy disposition, very straight-forward, very flexible, and just a pleasure to deal with - no high pressure package and warranty sales pitches - just a "how do you want your boat tricked out, and how can we help get you there? ". Chris, the service and installation specialist - a wealth of knowledge, very easy to talk to, eager to answer questions, gives you honest answers, and helps you work out how the features and tech you want installed will work together - he doesn't treat you like an idiot when you ask a question either. Jessie, the sales guy: honest pricing, honest answers to questions, willing to wiggle on items and costs to give you a reasonable price on an absolutely SICK fishing/fun boat. All in: quality product, reasonable pricing, and they will work with you. FIVE + STARS!

A while back me and my best friend decided to buy a boat, a little Bass tracker 170 pro team and while this boat served us well we knew it was time to upgrade. So after looking at many different manufactures I was pretty confident I wanted a Legend. After showing my buddy the website and doing a few online builds he was not hard to convince, and we decided to pull the trigger and go talk to someone. We are from the Brantford area, and while there are dealers in our area, we were not overly fond of them and really thought we would like to go the Barrie dealership that we have driven past on our annual fishing trips up north. We had decided that we were tired of not being able to do or go wherever we wanted and we wanted this boat to most likely be the last boat we had to buy. No more regrets, no regrets that we didn't upgrade the motor, have a wider or longer boat, more room, be able to fish in small and big water, troll, water ski, bass tournaments you name it, we just wanted to at least have the option to say yes. So one Saturday we drove down early so we could be there for open and after a brief walk around we sat down with Jake and began to build our boat, we added options, weighed pros and cons of every decision, we even took brakes as Jake would confirm with his associates all the changes we were making to this custom build, and finally around 3pm that day we had built the boat we could have only imagined owning. And thanks to Jake and the all of the amazing sales staff we pick up our new fully loaded F19 this weekend. I cant not say enough about how amazing they all were. From Henry the long time Legend salesman who saved us money on things we didn't need, to upgrades we we are so glad they recommended, to the other sales people offering up fishing advice, tips and tricks and future excursions, One guy even offered to take us out on his boat.and of course Jake who worked very hard to make sure every last detail was right. We talked numerous times over the following month while we waited for the boat to be built, he would call with updates, and every time I had a question he was always happy to answer questions, many times even after hours on his own time. We can not say enough good things about Jake and all his associates, so if your reading this review as I read many reviews while looking for a new boat, If I could give you one piece of advice it would be at the very least no matter what size or type or even make of boat your looking at, do your self a favor and just go check out Legend of Barrie, because if you have taking the time to read this whole review then my guess is that a good customer experience is important to you as it is to me and there is one thing that I think after my experience with Legend has taught me, if you go anywhere else and buy a boat from anyone else it will come with one thing that a boat and customer experience from Legend of Barrie does not. REGRET, that you didn't at least go talk to Legend first.

When we bought our boat that was all fine. Brand new 14 foot boat and motor and trailer. This year first time out motor would not stay running took to get it serviced. Spark plugs they said 130.00 later. Pick up boat on Thursday went out on Friday morning would not stay running took it back carbarator they said 307.00 later picked up boat this past Thursday went out this morning husband goes to pull out the choke it was not even attached he had to fix this. Boat would not even turn over. Now back on the way to the dealership again. Not happy at all. Terrible that this will be third time haven't even been fishing

The conclusion to this was when the carbarator kit was put in a seal was cracked according to service staff, if they had run the motor they would have noticed this and that the choke was not connected.

I feel this could have been addressed when we picked the boat yesterday afternoon. This is not about the cost I will pay for services however when that service is not acceptable and not addressing the issue which cost us time and money to travel three times back to the dealership that is what is bothering us.
