Lemongrass Restaurant

Our appetizers were good, came out fast, and then before we were close to finishing, our main dishes came out and got cold. I ordered the pad Thai with no chicken.it was different it came with cocktail shrimps. I would have rather had a few big shrimps than 30 cocktail shrimps. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and nice restrooms.

I love their food! Curry to die for. Inside, my mouth starts to salivate as soon as I smell their soup (s) of the day.

This place used to be our go to spot for Thai food. However, over the last few months they’ve significantly reduced their portions, and after a 3rd consecutive disappointing experience in a row, we’ve chosen to boycott this place. 3x in a row our green chicken curry has been filled with nothing but vegetables, along with very little scraps of chicken, so small in size that they’re hidden amongst all the vegetables. If I were to guess, they likely put less than a $1 worth of chicken in a $18 dish. So all you are essentially paying for is vegetables. They’re taking advantage of their customers, and trying to cut costs even if it means leaving their customers hungry. We experienced this exact same situation 3 consecutive times in a row. We are still hungry and not satisfied whatsoever after our meal. Really disappointed in this restaurant for trying to take advantage of their customers.

Had dinner tonight at Lemon Grass and it was amazing my husband had the large bowl seafood soup while I had and was forced to share the broccoli beef and house fried rice. The service was great by all staff from the young man offering us drinks to the many servers making sure our dinner was going well. We even had some to bring home. If you have never eaten here you must it is fantastic.

Pho was bland.rare beef came out completely cooked and chewy. Waitress wasn't the most pleasant. Food here used to be much better. Not sure if it changed ownership.

Always delicious here. I'm never disappointed! I usually get the Pad Thai or the Chicken with Cashew Nuts but I tried something new and loved it ️

Always a delicious place to eat. Way better then any of the bigger name style thai food places. My favorite dish lately is the sizzling beef made spicy.

Despite having VERY over cooked noodles in pick-up orders a few times. I returned to lemongrass for another try. And avoided the pad Thai.
Lunch was great. Fresh ingredients made super delicious. Dining in for the first time in years.

Absolutely terrible. Read the other comments people. We have been eating food from this Restaurant since it opened. Never a problem. This time.unbelievably bland. Tasteless. The same dishes we have always eaten. Phoned the restaurant and the 'supervisor' came on. Not interested in our experience. Said that it was no different than before. Told us that nothing would be done about it and hung up. If you look at other comments, you will see so many similar comments. This place is 'going down'. Don't waste your money.

We used to come here frequently when we lived in Dundas, always very good. We drove from Woodstock to revisit, awful! Red curry had hardly any sauce, no basil, tiny pieces of chicken and tons of vegetable. I ordered chicken, not vegetarian! They put so much onion in it, very large pieces and lots of horrid eggplant. Worst red curry I have ever had. We will never go back. Definitely not worth the drive!

Today's pick for dinner with my friends was at Lemon Grass. This has been one of our favorites in the past. Looks like the place was renovated but somehow it appeared congested. The waitstaff were extremely busy so it was expected that we didn't get served right away. Their cashew chicken was always my favorite, but tonight I ordered the spicy Pad Thai which was a big mistake. It was bland, and the sauce tasted like tomato-based and not peanut-based. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. And no crushed peanuts!? So I asked for some crushed peanuts and I got it, but I didn't expect to be billed. 75 cents for it. So beware! I ate about a quarter of it and packaged the rest to take home for the trash. I'm not sure I'll ever go back to Lemon Grass again.

By far, our FAVOURITE Thai restaurant for years. Always. Order anything you want - it's all good. Our favourite is the #7 appetizer plate #14 Bangkok soup and #115 crispy chicken with beef and shrimp. The peanut sauce will get you hooked. OMG.

I ordered 2 dishes and an appetizer. The curry dish was ok but the pad Thai was horrible. Bland and the noodles were so overcooked it was hard to even pickup (chopsticks or fork). The pad Thai was bad enough to throw out. The only good thing was the quick service and good portion size- too bad we didn’t get to enjoy it.

We have enjoyed ordering takeout food from Lemongrass for many years and on many occasions (even treated our employees at times) to their various scrumptious affordable dishes. However, this time was a disappointment.

We ordered for six people (2 guests) the same favourite dishes we have enjoyed in the past; though these dishes were hot, they did not taste fresh (even the jasmine rice was dry and crunchy) and we ALL experienced upset stomachs from the food afterwards.

The only selection that we ordered which had its same good appeal was the vegetable chicken salad rolls with peanut sauce appetizer. We wonder if perhaps the food just wasn’t as good this time because we ordered a hour before closing. Either way, we are disappointed about our eating experience. Even our guests commented that they have had much better Asian food elsewhere. We decided to be safe and throw out the remaining food rather than keep as leftovers.

We hope our experience was a “one off” for the restaurant and it does not signal a decline in their food quality. We wanted to let management know directly about our experience rather than post a public review online, however we could not find an email address online to use. So, a formal review it was…

If you are looking for a great Thai meal, you definitely need to try Lemongrass. We had the crispy pork rolls, beef salad, pad Thai, and tiger shrimp Bangkok style. Everything was delicious. Could have been spicier for our taste but they brought out fresh red chillies and that definitely added the kick we like. Will definitely be back.
