BUYER BEWARE:
Laughable customer service and communication. Leon's should take a page out of Costco's playbook when it comes to scheduling deliveries and informing customers.

I purchased a dining set on around Nov 20,2023 to be delivered in London. It's now almost two months later and I still have not received it. Leon's only contacted me once during Christmas saying they have stock in Kitchener and will arrange delivery shortly. 3 weeks later, still no phone call from Leon's. I physically went to speak with customer service in store and after voicing my displeasure, I was told that delivery will happen on the Thursday of the same week. I requested for and was promised a late delivery time range of between 3 and 6 pm due to work scheduling. I then made arrangements at work so that I can be home during that time. The day before, I get a call (finally a call) saying that the delivery time will be between 8 am to 11 am. I was frustrated and explained to them my previous agreements with them. The delivery manager said either you be there from 8 to 11 or it's no delivery.

It's a shame that I quite like the dining set which I still have not received. But the people and management who work for this franchise don't seem to care about basic customer service and communication. They just take your money and leave you hanging.

Tip: save your money and spend it elsewhere where you'll get more happiness and satisfaction.

Delivery was on time and the 2 guys were very professional. Took time to measure clearances and ensure no damage was done to walls and floors. Removed my old fridge and placed it into my garage where I wanted it.

Everyone from the sales rep to the cashiers and delivery guys were extremely professional and nice to deal with plus we got a great deal and the furniture arrived 2 weeks earlier than promised Wich is amazing

When you tell a customer that they are getting a delivery on Sunday - don't call 30 minutes before and lie to your customers about the driver being injured when you only deliver to St. Thomas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Geesh. Bad business.

The salesman at this location was slim to none. The guy helping us was straight up a joke. He had to go look up answers.simple questions that they should know by heart.
I don't know who is hiring them. But I seen 0 female employees and the guy looking for a quick answer said that he would be back in a min or 2.well 20 minutes go by and I had no guy come back. I found him and he was at the desk joking and hanging out with the other kids.sorry I ment staff.
Then we walked down a few more isles from there thinking that he would be back checked and nothing. This was another 15min of waiting and my mom was in the bathroom and a different staff asked me if I needed help and I said no. We had a rep helping us but we had not see him in over have half a hour. Well I will get him for you. Before I could say forget it. He was gone! The rep came back and said sorry I couldn't find out the info but I'm sure if you go on the website you can find it. What a waste of time! Yes I went back again and got worse Treatment and he knew nothing about the job.

I think that you need to know that you really need to look into who you are hiring. You can NOT let your staff do the hiring and you need to train your staff big time.

Ps. As management for years of experience talking here. So I know what I am talking about. You will loose your business if this keeps up.

Service? What is that. Promise price match, but complete lies, and run around. Just pass you on from one staff member to another. Each one has their own things to say. Nothing done. Continuous delays. No notifications of delays. Sectional the complete opposite configuration. My family have a sectional. In a room they cannot enter. Which they've waited 3+ months for. Owed 900 back for a price match. They got 300. So.now a useless room, wrong configuration sent, did you re order it even? When are you picking it back up? Another 3 months wait? When will you honor your price match? Is this called good service? Do what is right Leon's!

Me and wife came to Leon’s shopping for furniture for our new home. We were greeted by a sales rep named Christine. She was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. My wife is very picky and Christine was very patient with us. She made the experience very enjoyable from the moment we walked in until we left the building. If you go to this store I suggest you request Christine for the best experience.

Great experience with Mitch from appliances and Christine in furniture. Both listened to what we needed and helped us find the right products that would work within our budget and the spaces we have at home. Would definitely recommend both of these great people if you’re shopping in either department.

We ordered a sectional couch and was told it would be available in a couple of weeks. Those couple of weeks turned into 4 months as it was ordered from another country. We ended up canceling that order and purchased a sofa, chair and ottoman that was stocked in Canada. We received the new order within 1 week. I will never buy anything that needs to be ordered again. If it is not in stock than no sale. Thanks Gail Long

They couldn't get my couch that i had to wait several weeks for into my place. Sales wasnt willing to do anything to help. Now have to get a loveseat for basically the same price, and wait another month for it. Thumbs down. Ill be getting some chairs and all futurepurchases elsewhere. Update, decided to go elswhere and they still charged me for the couch i never got. Honestly, worst customer service ever!

We visited Leon's in London and Walt was excellent. He was welcoming when we arrived and helped us find the product we were looking for. He helped us measure the end tables to ensure the product would fit. We would definitely come back.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Ordered a headboard and matching frame from them that was delivered on Aug. 5. I called a guy and paid him cash to assemble the bed for me. When we opened the packing, it was missing key items like two legs and screws to the headboard. The assembler charged me even though he couldn’t complete the bed for me. I was out of a bed for three days including weekend, slept on the couch!
I immediately notified Leon’s. If it wasn’t for me following up on my matter regularly, Leon’s didn’t provide me with timely updates. They tried to get me spare parts which I had to wait for a week! Even the exchange wasn’t going to arrive before a week. I didn’t want to face the inconvenience and asked for a refund. They wouldn’t issue a refund, were evasive and didn’t take responsibility until I launched a complaint with BBB. Although they have agreed to issue a refund finally, I’m still out of $150 for assembler cost for a defective item, which they refuse to reimburse me for. I’m not even asking them to compensate me for the inconvenience I suffered thanks to them. Save your money and peace of mind and go to Arrow or the Brick!

After a long day furniture shopping I was so happy to find something unique and my style at Leon's. I should have gone there first! Zabi was very helpful explaining the delivery process and everything else. My loveseat was ordered and arrived in great time. The delivery team was friendly and remarkably quick in setting everything up. It was a great experience start to finish. I even recieved a thank you card a couple weeks after the delivery. I will definitely be shopping at Leon's again in the future!

We just recently ordered a mattress from Leon's. Jeff was a great sales rep. He was both really funny and also super knowledgeable. They made sure we got the best deal possible and walked us through the process step by step. So far the service is awesome and we cant wait to get the new mattress!

I went here around 5: 30pm tonight. I walked around the entire store looking for the animal ottomans they have on sale right now. Not a SINGLE employee asked me if I needed help or came to help me while I stood at the section where they were located. They were all just standing around talking to each other or sitting on the furniture talking.or on their phones. So unprofessional. You lost my business and I've never purchased from you before I usually go to Teppermans. This is why. Don't recommend this store at all.

Three years ago, my husband and I went to Leon's and had a horrible experience with a saleslady. She lied to us about the delivery date and continued to lie each time we checked in. It got to the point it was ridiculous and we swore we'd never go back to Leon's again. However, my mother went there to purchase some furniture and was fortunate enough to be assisted by Laura, who is beyond amazing! Her customer service skills, honesty, integrity and pleasant personality made us customers again and from her, we have almost totally furnished our whole house from Leon's. Now, we decided to purchase a new washer and dryer but unfortunately, Laura doesn't sell appliances. Fortunately, Rickie V.does. Rickie did such an excellent job in assisting us with our purchase. He did not pressure us, but was very knowledgeable about the products; patiently providing us with the answers to our questions. He was so friendly and helpful and made this experience such a pleasure. No pressure to buy, just honest and open conversation about the products and installation fees. He even provided assistance to another employee who needed help to figure out something for her customer. Rickie just knew the information she was looking for and was able to tell her. Easy to see he takes his position seriously and has educated himself on the products he sells. While it was a surprise to hear he is a new employee there, it was no surprise to hear he'd been trained by Laura! She has definitely taught him well. They are both such amazing assets to Leon's and we truly hope Leon's treats them well so they stay with this company. As long as they are there, we will be loyal to Leon's, because these two wonderful salespeople know how to treat their customers right. It was also a pleasure to speak to the manager, when we wanted to give him the compliment for Rickie in person. I'm glad the former manager is gone because he was so difficult to deal with and was insulting and rude. This gentleman was a pleasure and was so receptive to hear our feedback. Good job on weeding out the bad apples, Leon's. I hope these three people get a raise, stores need people who care about providing customers with a good experience and these people do.

We are completely leon’s customer for past 10years. We are happy with leon’s but today we purchased few items for around 5000$ And then we went to the tv section and saw in a table it was written lg oled c1 65 and in the tv price tag it was 1999, me and my husband was discussing and suddenly one lady came to help us (we didn’t even ask for her help) and we asked her if that tv is c1 65 and price is 1999. She said oh yeah yeah definitely it is c1 65.we told her we want to buy that tv. She started billing and when i saw the bill she was trying to sell us a1 model, when we specifically ask her for c1 What was that. I mean this is fraud. That lady shouldn’t be on the floor.

Very unethical business practice by Leon's. Bought a wardrobe for 1299.4 days later there was a 20 percent off for day before Black Friday but they increased the price to 1499. I checked it the day before online before the price increase and it was 1299. With price match guarantee for I asked for the discount. The discount is from the new price, I was told. I went to the store and they still had 1299 tag on the unit, they forgot to take swap the tag in the morning. They apologized for NOT swapping the tag on time. The manager honored the 1299 tag price and gave the discount. But the fact that they increased the price to give discount and do not tell the customer is very unethical. When I pointed that out to manager, she said agreed with my point but she said she only works there and cannot make a change. It's her day job.
This tells you alot about Leon's leadership philosophy. Honesty, transparency and integrity is not part of their values. Employees obviously does not have much say, it's the bosses way or high way. That's the impression I got. I felt sick by the fact they are cheating customers like. Had to get out of there. I don't think I can do business there knowing how disrespectful they are to their customer. I am thinking if I should cancel my order. I will let this sink in and decide. Had to get this off my chest. Thanks

I purchased 5 products from Leons: Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, Laundry washer and dryer. I paid for the products and their installation.a month later they said you only paid for the installation of dishwasher and nothing else. When i purchased i remember specifically asking for installation of all products. I FEEL CHEATED AND I WOULD NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM LEONS AGAIN. UNHAPPY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE.

The TV salespeople were chill and very knowledgeable, and explicitly asked if we needed any help. Just be aware of common sales tactics like false urgency.

Mattresses was a completely different experience.

I just wanted to test out the mattresses myself and feel them out, but then a predatory salesperson came and injected herself without even a greeting or even *asking* if we wanted help. She gave us no information about the beds except firm/soft and kept trying to sell us on the "discounted" prices. The fake sales prices aside - I'm buying a mattress. I don't care if it's free; it needs to support my spine and feel comfortable. So she shouldn't be treating it like we're getting 50% off a brand new car that will function the same for everybody.

It's not the 90's. If your entire strategy is just to come out of nowhere and pressure the customer then the customer is going to walk away because they didn't like the experience. Either way, none of the mattresses I particularly liked. I'd recommend Sleep Country, they've got lots of fancy new mattresses with loads of different options and salespeople that aren't obnoxious.

After having an amazing experience purchasing a new fridge and range, we were confronted with what they call “loss of stock” leaving my boyfriend with the prospect of months with no appliances, after a anxious wait everything was corrected, the staff at the London Leon’s super store had located the exact appliances at other locations! I would like to give a great big thank you to Emily for making the entire experience enjoyable! And the rest of the staff that assisted in today’s win!

I have ordered from them before but picked up and it was easy. Today they delivered my washer and dryer. They were friendly and QUICK. Their service is top notch all the way around and they also have a live tracking app to see where you are on the delivery list.

I have never been so excited to do laundry

If you are planning to buy any furniture from Leon's with "warranty".

Please ask them if the warranty company is "Zucora" if YES it is the same company. Please don't get Zucora's warranty.

This company's phone never works, they e-mail back after weeks with NO info to contact them back!

Very sad that Leon's does not share/tell anything about this company. Leon's does share once their product is SOLD not before.

Horrible experience with this Zucora - Don't know that how this company is existing with this kind of unprofessional customer service.

Would not recommend this business if it was the last appliance store left in London Ontario. Purchased a Washer and it leaked from day 1. There’s more water on the floor than in the machine. Called Customer Service in London and Head Office (Weston Ont.) and received the same scripted response from both. “call General Electric C. S”…. If this is what it’s like to be part of the “Leons Family” i’m leaving home. No genuine offer to help, no offer to replace, just deflection of the problem onto someone else. Do yourself a favour, buy from a local family owned London business.at least they will care and most likely pick up the phone to call and advocate for you…. Not just send an email and hope the problem goes away

Good service, quality products, and good deals when there is a sale running, but never buy the extended warranties the salespeople try to push on you. Those only exist to make them more money. Their sales tactics are way too obvious. Just say no thanks.

Huge selection of furniture and we found the kind of bed frame we were looking for here after not finding anything like it at other furniture stores. Sales staff were knowledgeable, available, and didn't push us when we were first browsing; had great interactions with Leo and Andrew, who both answered questions when asked and then left us alone so we could look around at our leisure. If we had asked for help looking, they would have been very affordable to lead to us around. Great sales model, and free delivery for our new bed!

I woke up today to a broken dishwasher, and a pile of dishes in the sink. I started doing some research and found a model that i thought i would like and called Leon's in London for some help. Emily Ayres was OUTSTANDING! Within minutes, she quickly told me all the great features of the unit i was looking at and a few of the things she noticed that i may want to know. Her knowledge on the product is great, and her customer service was exceptional. The whole transaction took no time at all, and Emily was not pushy, and was patient and supportive the whole way. What a great experience overall. Thanks Emily, you will have my business going forward!

If it wasn't for karwan and jeff I probably wouldn't go here. I call ahead to make sure these guys are working. Karwan is amazing I walk in he knows me by name and always ready to help me. However this year, we have noticed that lights have been turned of at night time not sure why. We will appreciate it if you can keep the lights on till 11PM on Saturday and Sunday nights.

We ordered a mattress over this second lockdown. It arrived when It was expected and I got called by Leon's before the delivery to explain the new protocols with covid. I was impressed by the kindness and professionalism I recieved from the employees. We will be back whenever we need anything for our home. Thanks again!

EDIT: After a phone call with the Store GM Allen, he was able to rectify the situation for me thankfully! Awaiting the delivery of our items patiently. Definitely a nicer outcome then last night.

Very disappointed. Ordered 2 couches and a chair in September 2020 and paid in full for them in December and was told everything was in stock and to call 1-2 weeks before we needed delivery to book a date. Called January 9th to book for a January 29th Delivery Date, and was told only one of our couches was in stock, and we'd be waiting till the end of February to get the other items. Manager was able to find a Chair for us, but still have to wait till the end of February to get our second couch. All of this after we were told in DECEMBER that everything was in stock and good to go for our date range. VERY displeased, and I understand the whole Covid excuse, but not after we were told everything was in stock and ready to go.

Bought a couch here May 2019, the couch is now falling apart and it’s just been over a year. We paid $2200 and paid for a warranty that’s supposed to cover the damages to the couch, it added an extra $200 to the bill. My springs are popping out of my couch, the cushions are ripped and I have a hole in the end of it, a bracket completely bent and broke so I had to take it off and now my frame is falling apart too. I called the warranty place last year around March and they had someone come in to take a look at the bracket that broke on it and said they might be able to replace the bracket and I haven’t heard from the company since and that was in August. The couches from this place aren’t worth it and I will never buy from Leon’s again, considering I paid $2200 you’d think the couches would be made better.

Currently having a terrible customer experience with Leon's. Excuses and deflection are words I would use describe service. Shane, a manager, was not helpful at all and contributed to the overall frustration. Instead of putting pressure on the manufacturers, they keep pushing out the date and saying they have no control. This isn't true as orders sent through to furniture manufacturers are put into a queue. The manufacturer can determine an expected receipt date based on the orders that are before it. Now if the sofa was being imported from Milan, then I could understand. The sofa is manufactured right here in Canada so I am not certain what the delay is. At the end of the day, the one star review is tethered to the company that sold the product. Im disappointed that the sofa has an overall lead time of 12-16 weeks regardless of COVID and would have like to have a better understanding of a time horizon at time of ordering. My wife wanted to buy an ottoman from the collection but I have serious doubts doing further business with Leons in London at this point.

My husband and I ordered a 33 inch Whirlpool fridge August 16th and were told it would be a 6-8 week wait due to covid - we said we were okay with this as we are both patient people. We paid for our fridge and were on our way. We started making jokes when the snow came that maybe we would have it by Christmas but literally still don't have it. We have had 0 contact with the Leons store we purchased from as they either put us on hold for hours or just do not answer the phone. I reached out to Leons on Facebook several times (like maybe once every couple of months to avoid harassing them) and they gave us updates however were also similar to "just a few more weeks". They told us that they would have the store/a manager reach out to us several times however no one ever has attempted to contact us. The last time I explained to them that they have never followed through and was told if they didn't try to reach out to us by Tuesday this week to contact them and they would get the GM involved. We did this and were told the manager would contact us yesterday or today and still nothing there either. We are extremely frustrated, living with no full sized fridge and currently having our first pregnancy experience and it has been a lot of added stress.

I reached out to another local appliance dealer and they said they could have a fridge for us by Friday if we cancel with Leons however from doing this I also learned that we were flat out LIED to by the Leons employee. The fridge we thought we bought doesn't even have the features we were verbally promised. They told us they did not have a floor model available in our exact size and model but it would be the exact same as the 36" one just as 33" like we needed for our space - we found out it does not have an ice maker or a water thing inside the door as we were promised. So, now we are waiting for a fridge that doesn't even have the features we thought we were paying for on a 'special order' that we cannot cancel. We will be contacting our credit card company to dispute these charges and cancel the purchase due to straight out fraud. We have bought many things from Leons in the past without issues but will NEVER even attempt this again and will be sharing our story everywhere. Do not waste your time or money!

Ordered a Whirlpool fridge on July 12,2020 and paid for it in full the day we bought it. It is February 16,2021 and we have still not recieved our fridge yet. Our initial delivery date was 6-8 weeks but has been pushed back five times since.

There has been a total lack of communication between their staff and ourselves throughout this whole process. Our calls are never returned, follow ups never happen as promised. Inquiries about the situation are also frustrating as the information given to you is often inconsistent between their staff.

Edit: We've since been in touch with Allen and his sale's associates. The communication has improved on Leons' end and we now have some insight as to why Whirlpool has not produced our model fridge yet. However it is now February 13/ 2021 and have still have not recieved our order. We were told it likely wont be here until at least July which would be a full year from our purchase date.

UPDATE: Allen, the general manager, was awesome. I contacted the store and spoke with him directly. He took care of us and our sectional is being delivered on Tuesday! Thank you for listening to our concerns and for helping us out! It is much appreciated!

Not impressed. We bought a sectional from Leon’s on August 11th 2020 and we’re told 6-8 weeks for shipping. It’s December 19th and they have now told us that it’s going to be mid to late January. Whatever, I get it because of covid (but don’t tell your customers 6-8 weeks when it’s clearly much longer.) Decided to come into the store and see if there was a similar model we could buy. This was after I had spoke to someone from the store on the phone who said they would make a list of models they had in stock and get back to us (that never happened.) We saw our exact couch and asked if we could buy the floor model (we were laughed at and told no.) The sales rep told us that our couch had likely been in stock at one point but because we bought online a sales rep in the store had probably sold it to someone else and said never to buy anything from them online. Asked the Leon’s.ca chat for the number to corporate and it was an answering machine. So disappointing, we have been waiting so long and will have paid off half the couch before we even get to sit on it. I’ll never buy another piece of furniture from Leon’s again.

Very disappointed. My elderly mother was purchasing a refrigerator. She viewed the product in store. The refrigerator had a ice maker button and was mislead by salesperson that the product had one. After weeks of no response we found out that this model didn’t come with one. Manager was dismissive.

We purchased a fridge and stove at the beginning of August, and have been paying for both appliances since. At the time of purchase, we were told it would be 4-6 weeks. There was no mention of there being possible delays communicated to us whatsoever, which would have made a difference in how we are feeling now.
We waited 10 weeks, understanding that during this pandemic there may be delays. We then called several times, leaving unreturned messages. In November I finally got through without being hung up on by their messaging service and the associate “accidentally” under her breathe mentioned our stove was in fact in the London warehouse.and refused to tell me when it arrived, and why we were not contacted. At this point we had been without a stove for nearly 4 months. I arranged its delivery, then inquired about the whereabouts of our fridge. “Another 8 weeks” was the answer, then a story about how the pandemic has hurt their “small business”.
Let me tell you Leons.as an actual small business owner myself; the way you are conducting yourselves is ATROCIOUS. People (aka your customers) talk, and from these discussions, we have been informed of many stories of your shady business practices. From re-selling already purchased appliances (which I’m fairly certain has happened with our fridge, and would have happened to our stove had the associate not slipped up) to hang-ups and zero communication and having your customers experience the run- around treatment.
We now feel sick to our stomachs about investing in products from you, and we STILL do not know what is happening with the fridge.as we are back to not having calls returned.
You wonder why folks show up at your store/on your phones with anger?
How to avoid reviews like this? Honesty, communication and a good set of values. Let’s start there.
Oh - and I must also add; when the stove was delivered, your hires were not wearing masks.

Terrible service. We were looking at getting a new matress. There was no one to help us as they were are pre occupied talking amongst themselves.

We bought 2 recliners 5 years ago and one switch for the motor stopped working. Contacted Leons and Pat the technician came out on time installed a temporary switch while part came. Pat returned and installed new part. He was very courteous and polite as well as d9oing a great job. Thanks. Gerry Davis.

I picked out a leather recliner from Leon’s and when it was delivered I couldn’t believe how uncomfortable it was. Also it was hard for me to close the leg area. So I called two hours after delivery and spoke with a customer service Representative. She told me she’d have the management call me in the morning. So I sat in another chair to keep the chair new so that I could exchange it for a more comfortable chair. When management called me next morning she told me nothing could be done for me. She gave an excuse that it was final sale, which was omitted when sold. So I asked her would she do something for me if it wasn’t a final sale and she confirmed that no, once you buy it, then it’s yours. They would not help me. Needless to say I was very unsatisfied and disappointed with Leon’s.

We needed another recliner for our living room so I went to Teppermans today and bought a very nice recliner. This time I asked the salesperson about their policy on returns. He said we have 7 days to return for another chair if we did not like it. Needless to say I’ll be buying from Teppermans from now on.

Got a mattress in the "as is" section of the store and when I opened the package at home it was smelling smoke in a string level. Couldn't sense it in the store since it was covered by a thick and transparent plastic and the tag that was on it informed that nothing was wrong with it.
Smell wasnt going away even after using andthose odor free sprays. Four days after the purchase I called the store and their answer was that I should hire a specialized company to clean it.
Cannot trust this store anymore. Won't buy anything there anymore.

I bought a sofa bed here.it was new but it came with bed bugs. I never ever had bed bugs in my house before and I was shocked to see bed bugs on the sofa. So I call them but they said they were not from them and there is nothing they can do. Bed bugs are only found on this sofa. Even though it took about 2 months to got this sofa, I want it returned but they kept saying the bugs weren’t from them. They may come from the delivery truck while delivering, but Leon’s furniture offers free delivery and they chose the delivery truck company so they have responsibility about these problems. When you buy furniture here and if you ask them a free delivery, think again cause they don’t care what’s in the truck. You might get furniture with bed bugs like me.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST FURNITURE STORE EVER, BEEN WAITING OVER 4 MONTHS FOR CUSHIONS THAT WERE DELIVERED ON BRAND NEW SOFAS WITH DAMAGE, SO UNACCEPTABLE. SONYA HAS BEEN HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH, SHE CLAIMS THAT SHE WILL CALL THE MANUFACTURER AND CALL BACK TO UPDATE US, BUT THAT NEVER EVER HAPPENES. HONESTLY PEOPLE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND SHOP ELSEWHERE.

We ordered a fridge, stove, and a new couch. Things went great except the first couch we bought was to big to fit so the delivery guys returned it for us, we went in about 5 days later and talked to service. The girls at the service desk were awesome and we ended up picking up a new couch.

Leo the sales rep that helped us pick out our new couch was amazing, we gave him the dimension and told him about the issues getting couches into our basement and he showed us exactly the style that we wanted but one that would fit in our basement. It went into the basement with no issues.

The order was placed wrong and we went a month with 2/3 if the sectional we ordered. Worst part even going up to the managers and headoffice, no one cared as they already got paid. We had to 'be rude' for them to listen to us.we will never go back

Excellent experience. Brian Klodt was my sales person, he was perfect, helped my to narrow down what exactly I needed, presented me with all my options, wasn't pushy, but provided excellent customer service and follow up. I ended up spending more that I had intended and it was because of the excellent service. I will be back for my next home furniture purchase. I looked everywhere for furniture, and I found Leon's had the best quality and selection, and delivery staff were much more professional then the competition- Tepperman's. Thanks again Brian!
