I have bought most of my furniture and all my appliances here. I love dealing with Cathy Roberts she has always looked after us and the mangers are very reasonable. I have three daughters and one that will be buying a home soon and she will need furniture. I always recommend them to buy at Leons in Owen Sound and they will always be treated fairly. I would never buy anywhere else, but Leons in Owen Sound, and always deal with Cathy Roberts.

In May, I purchased a new LG washer and dryer set to replace my existing failing units. The sales process and price match were excellent. So, I placed my order. None of this is related to the sales person or that process.

I was told upfront that there would be a wait, I work in the car industry and can appreciate supply issues. I was patient, but had to do all of my own follow-up for updates. The units came about a month after the ETA.

The day finally came for things to arrive and there was damage to a pedestal, a front corner was beyond acceptable and was bent outward. It needed to be replaced and was going to be several months. Both the dryer and washer had small dents in the bottom center from improper tilting against shoes. I received a 200 dollar credit.

After waiting two more months, this morning the replacement pedestal arrived. It looks nothing like the other one. The other one was discontinued and not available. No communication was made prior, the delivery guys "didn't know or notice" tried to get my wife to sign without looking at it. After a phone call my wife was told they will "upgrade the other pedestal to match". However from the picture older style is nicer, but what I want is something that matches ultimately.

Given what I've been told by others, reading similar reviews, and my own customer service experience, it will be some time before I consider buying anything from Leon's again.

But here's the punchline – this fridge's performance is closer to a comedy act than a functional appliance. It's more interested in turning our groceries into room-temperature science experiments than in actually cooling them down. Thanks for nothing, fridge!

Fueled by frustration, I dialed up the Owen Sound Leon's location, hoping for a lifeline. The first round ended with me getting dumped – not by a significant other, mind you, but by a phone call. Refusing to let a mere disconnect crush my spirit, I called back, and this time I managed to convince someone to stay on the line. The outcome? A rollercoaster of emotions when I was told that the only way out of this fridge fiasco is to contact Whirlpool directly. Surprise, surprise!

So, I embarked on the epic quest of reaching the elusive Whirlpool customer service, braving an hour-long hold battle. The result of my valiant efforts? A promise – not a resolution, mind you – that a technician might just grace my doorstep after they're done pondering the meaning of life.

In a stunning plot twist, I've come to realize that the store's grand master plan is to evade accountability like a master escape artist. Their ingenious solution? Push me onto Whirlpool's turf, where the chances of getting an actual resolution are as likely as me finding a snowball in the Sahara.

A round of applause, please, for the unexpected challenge of managing my family's fridge needs without a functioning fridge, all thanks to this masterpiece of comedy and chaos. And to you, Owen Sound Leon's, for proving that a copy-and-paste response might as well be your only trick up the sleeve. Here's looking forward to that promised non-resolution, or should I say, the grand finale of this tragicomedy!

*Quick update* Since I left this review whirlpool, has confirmed they’re sending their own technician tomorrow. Also the store manager was also friendly once I got through to him and mentioned he would do what he could to help, gave me a tip on how to take it out of demo mode (which it wasn’t in) and train his staff better, but up until that point I was left to basically deal with a broken fridge on my own with the manufacturer. Aaaand my family of four is still dealing with a broken brand new fridge 5 days after the fact…

*Update 2* A Whirlpool representative came by and told us that the fridge is defective and cannot be repaired. Whirlpool is sending a fridge to Leons, which will be delivered to my house in 3-4 weeks time. In the meantime Leons has offered a $200 refund for the problems. They've also arranged to have a loaner fridge dropped off middle of next week and are trying to get it to us sooner. It would have been nice to get a loaner fridge sooner but at least this is getting better.

*Update 3* it’s now been over 5 weeks since our broken fridge was delivered. We were given a loaner apartment size fridge about 4.5 weeks ago. Grateful for that. Throughout this time I’ve received no updates. I sent an email to them a few days ago that got ignored. I followed up today over the phone and they said the fridge is out of stock and they still don’t have it… waiting for a resolution.

We started out to visit several stores in Owen Sound. Starting at Leon's and met a sales men named Gunjan who was very polite and extremely knowledgeable around the item we were looking to purchase. He started out by showing us the most expensive brand and explaining why it was the best. Then Gunjan showed us three or four other brands of different price points and explaining the difference in the value and how they are made and where! Gunjan then gave us sometime to talk and try out the product. After several minutes Gunjan returned and asked if we had any questions. Wish he answered and we purchased the most expensive.
I then told Gunjan about a medical problem l had and he said l should try this item and see if it worked. Again Gunjan knowledge to have me try it with no pressure. Sold me on the item. Gunjan suggested before we started with any paper work would we like you protect your purchase and show us two different protective item and educated us on the difference between the two and there costs. We picked one and headed to get the paper work completed.

If someone was to ask us where we would suggests to make a purchase of furniture with a great deal if knowledge. It would be Leon's and a sales person by the name GUNJAN PRAJAPATI!

We purchased a mattress from this leons a couple of weeks ago. Our sales associate Gunjan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us the time to make sure we were making the best choice for us at a great price. We will definitely be contacting Gunjan for any future purchases

Bought a really expensive washer and dryer set in 2019 and purchased the extended warranty (which was not cheap)
Washing machine is acting up, spoke to service department at the store and they informed me that I would need to call the company that does all of their warranty work. The person from service was able to supply me with all the information needed to open a ticket with said company to have the work done. Was supposed to receive an email copy of the invoice but have yet to receive it. This was over a week ago.
I called said company and spent over and hour on hold with my call never being answered. Submitted a ticket online, response was that I would hear from them with in 72 hours. Week later and still nothing. I have tried to contact this company so many times, calling and sending messages via "their chat with our rep" on the website with no such luck.
I have tried numerous times to contact service at Leons, but no one answers, can't leave a message but send us an e-mail. So, it can go unanswered? Or for them to tell me this isn't their problem. But here's the thing, it is your problem Leon's this is the company that represents your after-sale service and frankly it is unacceptable. It should not be this hard to get a hold of a live person to get something fixed!
I have personally bought so many things from Leon's in the past but if this is how they handle warranty work, needless to say I will no longer be shopping at Leons. If there was an option of giving them negative stars I would at this point.

Be aware folks, they will be the fastest on earth to take your call and sell you, take your money, anything you need, but if you recieve a damaged item good luck finding an answer to any service call. I have been struggling for a week on a recent dining table which came damaged and with a wrong broken chair! Called daily for 5 days with no answer, drove to store and saw Cusmter service who promised, or should say lied, to give me an update and never did and the struggle is just going on.

Yesterday we visited Leon’s to look for a couch and possibly a fridge for a new house. Scott was the first person to come up to us and from the beginning was very helpful and listened to what we wanted. In the end, we ended up making a purchase for a fridge recommended by Scott which we fell in love with! Definitely will be returning for future furniture and appliances!

Another great experience at Leon's Owen Sound! My husband and I have relied on Leon's for the last number of years for all our appliance and furniture needs. We've always found we get prompt and helpful assistance on the sales floor and this time was no exception. On this visit to Leon's, I had the pleasure of working with Scott McGregor! I thought that I had made Scott's job easier by knowing exactly which item I wanted to order when I arrived. It was only after ordering that we realized the product wasn't available (yet) and Scott wasn't sure when or if it would be available. I was stubborn and didn't want to settle for another product, which Scott was graciously understanding of. During the waiting period, Scott continuously worked to provide me with updates on the status of the order and reached out even when he had no new information to assure me that I hadn't been forgotten. The item has now arrived and I'm excited to get it set up in our home! Scott is a great example of how the employees are what make a business renowned in a community and Leon's is lucky to have him. Thanks Scott! We'll be back.

The purchase and delivery process was fine. The after process has something to be desired. Granted I bought an economical grade recliner. Chair broke, I called, they sent a technition/photographer said chair was broken, took pictures. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for them to come pick up my chair and take it to fix it. 15 mins I put the piece in place replaced the screw that fell out and put in the rest of the screws that were missing. Tried calling to say I fixed it myself and to cancel follow up but no one to take my call message said to email or hang up and call back.

I purchased an LG fridge in April of this yr which was delivered damaged. I called Leons and they offered me a measley 100.00 off.there is a dent in the fridge door that is very visible. 100.00 does not cut it when my eye is constantly drawn to the dent. I have been consistently corresponding with leons ever since and when I did not get any satisfaction I went into the store and spoke with Joe the manager who promised me a call no matter what on Monday.no call came. I had to call and follow up with Joe a number of times and was then asked to send in a picture of the dent which I previously did x 2. I then called Joe x2 and left voice mail messages asking for a call back which I am currently still waiting on. If I could give a negative scoring I would! Extremely dissatisfied with the service to date and very disappointed. I have been a loyal Leons customer for yrs.

Bought a fridge and microwave wave from Leon’s Owen sound.
Delivery drivers were Ok. But what place does not put the appliance together. They would not put the handles on or level it. Dropped it off plugged it in and that’s it. I asked and they refused to put the handles on or level it. Just wanted my signature and bolted.

The worst experience I have ever had with a company. Sales person "guarantees" a range and fridge within the month or so. 2 months go by with constant calls weekly, with the promise "oh in 2 weeks" everytime and then a call saying we don't even know when. Absolutely pathetic! Then told we will offer something similar but below what you are offered of course. Do not go here and if you are dumb enough to do so, do not buy from Mitch the sales guy. Lots of fake promises and stories about how he has been there for 11 years so he knows when things are coming in, with no follow through. I would only remove this if my problem was rectified which it hasn't been.

Went in to purchase a refrigerator and we were not acknowledged for over 25 minutes even though the staff saw us standing in the appliance section looking for help. Two staff members across the display room continued to stare without a single word said. We decided to leave and purchase elsewhere that had been excellent customer service. Leon’s is without a sale and we will never be returning.

Would not return damaged appliance, or help with dealing with manufacturer either. Leon’s had me take my appliances before my renovation was completed so the appliances sat until the reno was done and by then the appliances were over there 30 day return that. Was never mentioned to me or in any paperwork I received, the lady on the phone told me it was common sense for me to know this information. I’m a local contractor and customer here, I’ve spent 10s of thousands of dollars at Leon’s over the years. They said they didn’t care about my business anymore, a shame over a $600 range hood. Would not recommend this store.

They put a Tizen 43" TV in their boxing day special flyer for $200. I showed up at the advertised opening time of 10: 00am, their normal opening time on a Sunday to buy one. The sales person told me they sold out by 9: 00.when they opened at 10: 00. So you know there was no $199 TV. You decide if you think you can trust them.

I ordered a GE fridge in May told it would take 10-12 weeks, supposed to be in mid august, than September, now it's the start of December, Robert asked if I wanted to cancel now.
Bought a sectional in June, I'm trying to see if it will be here as discussed when I paid for it, by end of September, Called today and was told now manufacture is discontinuing that line, call back tomorrow to talk to Mitch, I hope he has better news

We went in just for a look. Found a great deal (better than the liquidators with free shipping). Dustin was a great help. Found the sectional we wanted as well as a deep freeze we needed. Eddie assisted him and was easy to talk to and relatable. Had a few laughs. No pressure sales. Just friendly conversation. Very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended the location and the staff are excellent.

Can't say enough great things about working with Salesperson Scott McGregor from the Leon's Furniture store in Owen Sound, ON. My wife and I bought and changed many things over the last two months and Scott helped us every time. He was always quick to respond to a question (even by email after hours) and made the process very easy. We found some great furniture there for a good price and were able to make decisions without any high pressure sales. We definitely give Scott and Leon's Furniture our highest recommendation and will absolutely be shopping with them again as the need arises.

Purchased a specific fridge under the assurance that it was the ONLY one that could be delivered in time for us to have when we moved into our new house (about two weeks). Was told it would be in late that week (bought on a Tuesday or Wednesday). Called the following week, when we were told to expect it by, and were told "there's a huge shipment of them coming in this week and one's got your name on it! ". Hadn't heard anything by Tuesday of this current week (today, worrisome as our closing date is tomorrow), and was told "there's a huge delivery coming in this week so late next week at the latest". So, now we use a mini fridge and the freezer at my mom and dad's house for the groceries of our family of four. Really poor communication on their end. Completely understand that Covid has delayed things but had we not been told in confidence this fridge would be in and trusted them we would have looked at other options.

Placed an order on the web and it was transferred and assigned to this location. Stove took 2 months since my full payment was taken. No communication from the store nothing and when they did asked for wrong person at wrong number their error supposed to be already fixed. They blame everything on covid including their lack of updates or contact. Dissapointing expected better from Leon's. Covid may account for delays but not your appalling lack of care or customer service.

Last week I was informed by a competitor of Leon’s Owen Sound that the product I purchased at the beginning of August would not be in till end of Sept or Oct. We just moved here Mon Aug 31. We had no appliances at all and no beds. We were given excuse after excuse why things were the way they were but at no time was there an alternative offered or suggested. We slept in a local Motel till mattresses showed Wed. Only 1 bed frame for two new beds? We were told we didn’t order two. When I was told of the ongoing delay I went to the Leon’s in Owen Sound. What a nice surprise when I was asked by “Julie” if there was anything she could help me with. I explained our situation that we were in. Julie stayed I will get you everything you need today! Wow wow wow! What an excellent finish of my day. She communicated extremely well on types of products she could get us and worked tirelessly on the computer and checking floor models etc. We could not get the brand we wanted but at this point I was happy to be able to tell my family that we were going to have appliances. I was so happy at the end of the time that Julie spent with me sorting out washer dryer stove fridge and microwave and bed frame. We ended up picking the appliances up with our trailer the next day. We spent more money on a few items while finishing payment process! What a great customer experience we had and will only shop at Leon’s Owen Sound going forward! Thank you Julie for your great service, your understanding, your focus, and attention given! Well done!

I recently bought a sofa & am very dissatisfied & unhappy!
I called within a week & wanted to exchange it. The girl in service did not know the return policy & had to research it. She did return my call to inform me that they don't typically return merchandise but I could for a 50% restocking fee. (which is ridiculous) I think at the time of purchase the return policy should be made clear & staff should also know the policy. I have asked several times to speak with a manager & to NO avail.
Your customer service is very poor & customer satisfaction is non existence!
I would think in a small town & in this day & age your customers should be number 1 priority.i will not return to your store & will discourage any one i know to shop elsewhere! Very unhappy with with Leons Owen Sound!

Nothing but frustration dealing with Leon's while purchasing a dishwasher. Promises and guarantees were made by both sales staff and then management personnel but then not followed through. They even managed to screw up the delivery schedule and delivery agreement

A very unhappy customer in a time when customer satisfaction should be key to proper business relationships

Service in-store was prompt, the salesman was helpful and attentive. The delivery crew was friendly and punctual as well. The sale price I paid was a good deal, however, quality of the set I purchased was rather disappointing.it doesn't feel sturdy at all. My furniture also took more than twice the promised time frame to be delivered, which was frustrating as I had expressed that I needed something that would arrive quickly. I also paid an extra fee for assembly, but there were still some things we had to assemble ourselves.

We ordered 2 sofas and a recliner back in January, were told it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery which was fine. They called my husband on February 6th to let him know that our furniture would be delivered on February 13th. He took that day off work and by 4pm there was still no furniture. He phoned Amber (who we placed our order with and who phoned us on the 6th with the delivery date) she seemed confused that “no one” phoned us because one of the sofas had arrived to the store damaged, ok, so why not deliver the other two pieces? She told my husband she would find out what was going on and would call him back. She did not. The next afternoon my husband called and asked to speak to the manager but he would not be in until the next day, my husband had to phone back again and finally spoke to the manager who was not at all concerned or apologetic. He too said he would find out what was going on and call my husband back.he did not! On February 17, my husband phoned Amber back to tell her to refund our money and sell the furniture to someone else, her response? “OK”. At no point did she OR the manager try to make things right to keep our business. We would have gladly taken the other two pieces until a replacement came in for the damaged sofa. A simple phone call to let us know what happened and offer to deliver the other two pieces would have restored our business with Leon’s but from now on we’ll take our money to Smitty’s, Conway or The Brick.

The only reason I'm giving one star is because zero stars is not an option. We purchased all new kitchen appliances from them in December with a delivery date set in early January. We received two appliances on the scheduled delivery date the oven and dishwasher were supposed to be delivered the following weekend. They did not show up, so I had to drive over to pick up the oven as we had a gas fitter coming to run the line for it and they would not deliver, still no dishwasher in sight. They called to let me know we got a free "upgrade" on the dishwasher if we drove to owen sound to pick it up, so I took off work early to get it. I loaded it up and brought it home to unpack and to find out it was actually the model below the one we purchased over a month ago. Almost two months since the original purchase date and still no dishwasher and we are unable to get a straight answer on its arrival. Very disappointing for such a big company.

Really disappointed with the service. My mother purchased a couch and chair over two months ago, and she is still waiting for the chair to be delivered. Every time she calls she is simply told it isn’t in, and she is never given a date that it should arrive. If you can’t get something in, don’t offer it for sale!

With everything happening during the quarantines our sectional wasn't going to make it until 2 months later than originally promised, this Leon's worked with us very well to provide us with a different option that was better quality and recieved it immediately, great customer service.

Great service while buying a new washer and dryer. Ashley did a great job and we’ll have it delivered in 5 days. First time I enjoyed spending my money in awhile.

Scott M was my sales rep and would highly recommend to work with him. I purchased all appliances and furnitures here. He helped in rescheduling a delivery later in the day (normally they don’t deliver to Port Elgin after 1400h).
They don’t install washer and dryer unlike Home Depot that include it with delivery at no extra charges.

I am beyond disappointed with Leon's in Owen Sound and their warranty company they chose to use.
A few years ago we purchased a new Samsung washing machine. It was a fiasco then, and in hindsight should've been when we walked away. We picked our washer and were told there was none in stock but that a number of them had been ordered and would arrive soon. Three weeks later we still had no washer. Turns out they had indeed been ordered but had no idea when they would arrive. We ended up taking the floor model. Fast forward to this January, our washer broke. We called the warranty company, King and State, and it took 3 WEEKS for it to be repaired. That means three weeks of paying to do laundry. One person in our household requires laundry done at least every other day. We spent over $90 those three weeks doing laundry. The man who repaired the washer said parts were over $700.the washer originally was $948. Not even three weeks later the washer is broken again. We call King and State and AGAIN we are stuck waiting on parts and spending money at the laundry mat. It's been two weeks this time. Our washing machine has been broken for 5 weeks out of the last three months. And as of today, I've spent $40 these two weeks doing laundry. That's ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLARS spent doing laundry when we spent $199 on extended warranty. This is unacceptable. The fact that Leon's continues to use King and State when the internet is filled with negative reviews of them, speaks volumes to how little Leon's values their customers.
It especially sickens me at this particular time when we are to be staying at home as much as possible, and yet I have to go out to do laundry multiple times a week.
We will never purchase from Leon's again and I urge anyone considering a large purchase to do your research first on what company is being used for warranty. The purchase of extended warranty is a waste of money at Leon's. It was $200 I could've had towards a new washer, plus what I've spent at the laundromat currently, would've went a long way.

When we had an issue with our couch, staff was extremely helpful in helping to resolve our issue. Wonderful, helpful staff!

Got some furniture in Leon's last week. Mitch Dentinger looked after us. Got a good price off him and he made everything with dealing with Leon's, very easy.

Look forward to dealing with Mitch again and would advise people who are shopping in Leon's, to ask for Mitch if they want to have the ''feel good factor'' after their purchase.

So disappointed bought less than a year ago Hunter recliner, with bonus Christmas money. The chair has sunk and sags at the one side, totally visible when chair is open or closed.it was comfortable and looked good. I should have did reviews on this item. Just so disappointed was looking to buy Love-seat this year again with bonus money. But will do my research.

Update. Leon’s was quick to respond to my post. I contacted customer service and they have reinforced this chair. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you.
