Lepore & Co Chartered Professional Accountants

All of the staff are professional and pleasant. I can't say enough about how courteous and knowledgeable the staff are at this accounting company. More importantly, I have never had the slightest issue with any of my business or personal tax returns.

Lepore & Co Chartered Professional Accountants is a reliable, trustworthy and professional accounting firm. I have been more then happy with their excellent service over the years and never hesitate to recommend them to others. As a business owner, they are always pleasant to deal with, helpful and very knowledgeable.

I started working with Lepore to have them help with the books and returns for my federal corporation. They did good for the first year, but in the second year I got an invoice that was about 2000 above what I was expecting. I asked them why, and they told me that they billed me more because of the time of year, (they said they were really busy) and because my company made more money than the year before. Neither of these reasons was acceptable in my book so I asked for a breakdown of how they came to this new invoice amount that was nearly double the previous year, and for easier, more organized accounting that the prior year, despite my income increase. They gave me and my wife the run around, unable to provide any sort of evidence as to how they came up with a number nearly double the year before. Furthermore, they shared another of their clients books with us (by accident). Yet I read online that other companies had their books shared by accident. My final conclusion is that they are NOT A SECURE OR SAFE VENDOR. Nor can they be trusted. If you like getting a disproportional bill and you like having your books likely shared with others 'by accident', then by all means go ahead, but if you value your business' privacy and clear billing practices, then steer clear of Lepore.
In response to the response, I'd like to point out that my requests for a breakdown of the invoice were never fulfilled. Sure, I was told multiple times that they bill by the hour, but I didn't ask for that - I asked for a breakdown of the charges, not an explanation about how in x years no one has asked for a breakdown of an invoice. Secondly, the other company's books that were shared with us by accident was in writing, in email. So it's not like I don't have evidence of said lack of security. The staff told us it was a human error on their part. So yeah, I must be malicious for wanting people to know that your staff share company's books like it was no big deal (I'm sure the plumbing company whose books we saw would be highly impressed), and it must be malicious of me to mention that I never got the breakdown I'd requested, just excuses and repeatedly telling us how long you've been in business. I don't care how long you've been in business. I asked for a breakdown of the invoice and never got it. Furthermore, I don't feel safe with an accountant whose team can't even keep secure documents secure. That's not malicious of me to warn others. You should respect clients who don't understand your obfuscated billing practices instead of talking down to them about how you've been in business so long and none of your customers has ever asked for an invoice breakdown. Too bad, maybe they too should start looking deeper like I did.

I cannot say enough good things about this firm. Truly an amazing team filled with professional staff who give sound advice and they truly never miss a beat. Ever since I worked with them I have nothing but good things to say and they are always one step ahead of you. They know everything and anything about the tax code and they truly work with you to make sure you owe nothing to the government and they keep everything in check so that you receive your money that is owed to you from the government on time. Glad to be your client and will always refer people to you!
