Contacted Paul Brooks for an employment issue my husband was having. Was told he would write one to two letters if needed to employer. Told us to send a $750 retainer. He sent paperwork to fill out. As soon as he found out where our income was coming from he said you can’t afford me”. He did not send the letter or letters like he said. He did nothing but kept the $750. Was told by another lawyer in Toronto that he had no business even suggesting he could help. He did nothing.

To start, if I had an option to give more than 5 stars, I would give Lerner's, specifically William A. G Simpson and his team 100 stars. In 2017 I was involved in a car accident; I was young and did not have much knowledge on how to go about this. From the start to finish I was always informed by William and his team. Their communication and transparency throughout the entire process made me feel at ease. Whenever I had questions or needed clarification someone was always there to get back to me, that's when I knew I had the right team. William is professional, personable and immensely knowledgeable. I highly recommend William and his team!

I have paid for various professional services in my time. Working with Alysia is one of the few times I felt someone was going above and beyond for me. My needs were her priority and Alysia made that clear the onset of our work together. The most important part is the follow through. She actioned what she promised!

It is OK to work 9 to 5, however, Alysia was available to answer questions or meet with me during non-traditional work hours, particularly due to my work schedule. I can’t express the comfort I felt in having retained her. It would be an understatement to say that Alysia will be serving my legal needs as long as she is practicing. The bar has been set!

I don’t recommend Lerners, they have billed us for a 4 hours conversation with a reporter that didn’t generate any press or had any impact to our case, we had no progress working with them, it was a money grab, never had a court date and our PNL was never filed, we used our resources and got nowhere.

Lawyer and lawsuit sound like scary words, but what is more worrisome is being in an accident. Not knowing where to turn, assuming that contacting your insurance company is all you need to do. After all their commercials tell you they will be by your side. It was a big step for us to contact Bill Simpson at Lerners LLP. We knew there was something going on with my brain from the accident, but we didn’t know what, and the tests that I needed were very expensive. Bill arranged for specialists, tests, therapy and worked with my family doctor to get the care I needed. Most of my therapists came to me at my house and supported my whole family. I did not have to worry about complex paperwork, or finding these amazing people who helped me. Bill, Melissa Schermerhorn and Sarah Culbert are knowledgeable, caring people who stood beside us every step of the way, through many emotions and lots of tears. I am not the same person I was before the accident, but I have come a long way from the person who was in that accident. It was hard work, and a long journey and we got through it, forever grateful for Bill Simpson and his team.

Following a slip and fall accident where I severely injured my knee, our daughter reached out to Karen to inquire if she would contact me to discuss whether or not I had sufficient grounds for a civil action against the company involved.
