Food is tasty, worth a one time try, it was our anniversary and thought of trying something new, but the presentation, taste and quantity is similar to other restaurants in the market. For me with a family of 2 adults and 2 kids ordered way too much and had to pay a hefty bill of $230. It is overpriced I would say, but worth a try atleast once.
Literally the best lebanese food in! The food is amazing to say the least from the vineleaves (wara2 3enab) to the hummus to the grilled platter. However, what was even better were the desserts. The knefe is to die for. All the desserts were amazing. The owners are extremely hospitable and welcoming, I truly felt at home. I just visited and cannot wait to go back!
The food is always delicious when I come here. I order the mixed bbq plate for whenever I come with a group, the meat is always cooked perfectly and is flavourful. The breakfast is good as well, the fatteh is amazing!
Our server upgraded our salad order without us asking. It cost a lot more, but the worst part of our entire experience, she completely forgot a platter order. To top everything, it took forever to get our bill. There were only 3 of us, not sure why such bad service. We will not be going back next time we are visiting Ottawa. Do not recommend this place.
Very nice food. I requested for grilled fish (charcoal) which was really nice. Apart from food, best thing is they have water pots in washrooms + they have prayer room too. I would like to thank you management for providing facility!
What a great find! We arrived late on Ottawa and we're pushing it to find a place that would still be open. Saw that this place had great reviews and was close by to our hotel near the airport. Fantastic service, food and atmosphere! We ordered kebabs and an okra appetizer. Generous portion sizes!
Great Tasting food. Mashallah we enojyed our breakfast here coming from Brantford to Ottawa. The Owner is very lovely lady and the employees were also friendly and welcoming. May Allah grant you lots of barakah and success into your resturant
Great and delicious food, but the customer service is sometimes below average. And I think this place needs a renovation. The atmosphere is okay, but sometimes the restaurant seems not to be well kept. Nevertheless, I look forward to coming back sometime soon, because the food is still really good. And the owners are really friendly - they are more attentive than some of their staff. I wish the owners good luck!
The food was really great, got a lamb family platter & grilled chicken platter. Main course was delicious. Dessert - Kunafa was just decent though. Food was worth it, dessert wasn't.
We Had Our Last Business Meeting Their And It Was Amazing Food And We All Enjoyed What We Ordered And We All Commented Among Each Other How The Food Was Great!
One of the best grilled food I’ve ever tasted ever! Very fresh and great spices! The vine leaves were delicious and mousakka was amazing! Very welcoming and good service! I came all the way from Montreal and I’ve definitely enjoyed my experience! Its a must go!
Best chicken I ever ate in my life. I used to visit the old Holland cross location and I recently stumbled on them again. And there food is just as delicious as I remebered thank you guys for staying the same and serving healthy, quality food people from all walks of life can enjoy. Inshallah you guys open 20 more restaurants so everyone that hasn't had your food can try it. Thank you
Amazing food and service was great. The seating/ ambiance itself was more cafeteria style, but the rest made up for that. Our server was helpful and friendly. Family friendly. We had the mixed appetizer plate, lamb, and beef. I very highly recommend!
EXCELLENT! My entire family loves Lebanese food and were looking for some place special to celebrate my mother's birthday. I remembered going to Les Grillades previously and how great the food was. Being from the east end it's a little bit far - but worth the drive! The service was fantastic and the chicken was cooked perfectly. They start you off by bringing you a basket of pita. To that, we added the baba-ghanouj (spelling?) which was the best I've ever had. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we will definitely be making the drive back there again soon.
I loved the food. Mixed kabab, grilled fish, bread on the house. Grilled vegetables, salad, garlic sauce is awesome. Taste of Rice is average. Overall very good experience. Location is beautiful.
Took so long to get the food. Aweful service and rude staff. Super expensive considering the food portions. Food tasted good.l, though. Never ever coming back.
Oh my goodness! This place is legit! Grilled chicken and all the fixins, soo good. I recommend the garlic sauce in abundance. Friendly and welcoming staff. I could eat here everyday.
Absolutely love this place. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes, all of it is amazing. Besides their delicious menu, customer service there is the best! A group of friends and I got there and ordered at 9: 15 pm (kitchen closes 9: 30 pm and restaurant at 10 pm) We didn't end up leaving till 11: 30 pm and not once did we feel like we were being rushed. The owners let us take our time and enjoy our stay. Amazing service!
Place is great, fresh food cooked very well. Chicken beef lamb, and red snapper were done properly. Place is middle eastern food and puts all shwarma restaurants to shame.
I gave the 2 stars because their food is admittedly very good. But if this review was for customer service I would give them a zero if I could. We reserved tables next to the windows over a week in advance and we confirmed with them multiple times throughout the week. Then the day of they seat us in booths and the best they could say to our completely warrented disappointed is "what's done is done". Then they were late to bring us our food and kicked us out before we even had the chance to order tea! AND they over charged us on our meals.
I've had multiple events with them before but after yesterday I will never ever go to them again.
Just wow! What an amazing experience! We ordered mandi, bamia, kebbe, and grilled sea bass. It was delicious! I really had so many kebbe in my life but this one was incredibly good. The staff is great, sit Fairouz's voice makes this place magical. I will be back again soon for sure. Thank you.
Reminds me of restaurants back in the Middle east. The food is superb, friendly staff and good environment for families. I look forward to enjoying a family dinner when the pandemic is over.
Exquisite food. Had the mixed appetizer to share and the salads were all amazing with extra fresh pita. Kafta Khishkhash was also terrific. I'm still stuffed and we ate at Noon!
Came here this weekend for brunch. Servers were constantly taking off face shields and servicing customers without masks/face shields. The owner came out and brought customers food with his mask around the chin. Customers were walking around us without masks and nobody said anything to them. I counted five customers walk past me without a mask on to either talk on the phone or walk around. The restaurant was super busy. Being in a field where I work with customers daily not impressed with the protocols that were in place. Yes the food was great but not impressed in the middle of a pandemic
I went here for my 10-year anniversary, and it was the first restaurant I took my wife to when we first got married 10 years ago and I got to say they come a long way I mean I was just in awe at the quality of the food and the level of the services. Staff was welcoming and helpful. 5 star definitely recommend!
Food is really good, service not so great. Waiting almost half an hour for a coffee refill. Or maybe they got it fresh from Columbia, either way, waited too long. They came and apologized which great. I forget that it's different times now and they're short staffed.
The food here is unreal, some of the most flavorful meals we have found in the city. Every aspect of the plates are bursting with flavor. Absolutely love this place.
Food is phenomenal, following appetizers: Hummus with Tenderloin Meat, Kebbe, Baba Ghanouj are amazing. The Fattoush salad is fantastic, it would be perfect if they used Purslane with the Romaine lettuce. The Kebbe Nayeh is great but most people won't love the idea of eating raw meat. Whole grilled boneless chicken, 1 kilogram of mixed BBQ the lamb chops, shish taouk are all perfectly seasoned and cooked. Finally the Seabass has a 50% chance of being amazing and the other 50% just good from 8 orders, half the time a little overcooked. I will be trying breakfast in two weeks and looking forward to try Ful Mudammas, Soujouk omelet, Labneh and Fried Halloum.
I went with my family after hearing about it many times from friends and i gotta say this place is great. The food is delicious, quality and the service is awesome. The owners introduced themselves and made us feel welcome.
Shish kebab was fine. Appetizers were good but salad was too salty. Knafa was terrible. Not sweet and it was different what I expected. Different type of knafa.
Great, clearly family owned business. Really nice staff, excellent food, great atmosphere. Decent for kids, and not too loud. If there's more than a couple in your party, take a look at the kilo bbq plate, good mix of food, and fed 4 adults (and a toddler) with a couple of appetizers tossed into the mix.
Our group ordered 3 of the large platters with Beef, Kafta, and chicken, as well as hummus, salad, falafel, and a few other items. Everything tasted great. Very pleased with the large platters. Everyone was full and there were leftovers, which people took home.
The food is beyond delicious but service can be slow and disorganized. Also the portions are alittle ridiculous for the price you're paying. If they improve on these things, I'd automatically give it 5 stars.
I've only ever been here for brunch but every single times I've been, the service has been great. Always welcomed with a smile and a warm welcome. The traditional Lebanese breakfast is also great.
The owners/management were very friendly. Unfortunately, their staff don't seem to be very attentive or organized. We waited 15 min before we decided to go get our own menus from a neighbouring table, and another 15 before we could flag someone down and request to order. We found it strange that customers who had arrived after us were already getting their food. Water was forgotten. The food didn't take too long to come after ordering and somewhat made up for the delays because everything was delicious. We would've liked to try the coffee and desserts too, but feared we'd be waiting too long as no one had even come by during our meal to check in on us. We decided to just pay and leave. I would be hesitant about returning to this place.
Food and service are both very good. However the appearance of resturant is kind of cold and you does not give you vibe. If owner upgrade the decoration I can give it a 4.5 star.
Also they do not serve alcohol (for religious reasons) which I respect but I wish they did.
I’ve been going to Les Grillades since holland location. It’s kinda upsetting to see how they keep on decreasing the portions. It’s a complete ripoff now, would rather go somewhere else, even at my work we used to order form les Grillades but now we gave our business to pita bell instead.
Good day, Finally, a place that process will keep you submerged in Lebanon. With real, savoury and loving food. Make sure to call in advance to put a hold on a table and be ready to be amazed.
Have been going here since it was on holland avenue. Love the new location much more space and accommodating. Same great food, great family owned business. Only spot in Ottawa I go for Lebanese cuisine.
Love the owners. I have been a regular. Occasionally have had some not so great experiences but the owners and servers are genuinely wanting for clients to get their money’s worth. Love the bbq charcoal chicken!
Amazing food but waiting half an hour without getting menu's and another half an hour for the food to arrive is a bit much. If the service was better this place would automatically get a 5 star.
