They've got so many games, whether it be board games or video games, from new to retro/old games. The service is great. Staff is very friendly. Food taste amazing. Great experience overall, highly recommend for group outings, even for a date.

This is an EXCELLENT place to bring friends, visitors or a date. Any day but Saturday and Sunday you can stay as long as you want. An excellent, well organized selection of board games for all interests and abilities. Their cocktails are fun and tasty. The food is not very good but they offer gluten free and vegan options. The nachos we ordered were stale and unseasonably, but ample toppings. Fries were kinda soggy and just ok. Not a great spot for food as the main attraction. If you're looking for a fun place to hang out though this should be on your list.

This place is amazing. The atmosphere is lively & fun, the food is delicious (has GF & Vegan options!), and the staff is extremely friendly & knowledgable. Great for date nights, afternoon games with friends & perfect for rainy days when you're looking for something to do. The game selection is out of this world, both board games & video games. 5/5 would recommend!

The only downside, is parking is hard to find.but that goes without saying with anything located downtown. There is street parking, if you're willing to drive around, however we find it easier to park at the Rideau Center & walk down.

The staff was so nice and the food was great Definitely a must hang-out place in Ottawa if you're a local, which is unfortunate for me

My friends and I went to the loft last night, and while we were a large group and could not all be accommodated at one table, the gentleman on the phone said that we could be seated within close proximity to eachother, dividing the group in two. This was totally understandable as we had not made a reservation prior and did not expect to be seated all together. When the second half of the group arrived and began to sit at the table next to ours (as we were told by different employees) they were greeted by the rudest, most unprofessional employee named Matt. He quickly ran over and yelled at us saying they we could not sit at one of the tables as it was being used for trivia (this table was empty and two other employees said that the group could be seated there). Instead of politely telling us, as we were informed differently on the phone, he proceeded to cut us off when we tried to explain ourselves, being extremely condescending. When we began to tell him about what his colleague had said, he blurted out “well I’M the supervisor TONIGHT”. I don’t believe anyone with a short temper like Matt’s should be working in customer service. Our waiter on the other hand was extremely delightful and he really made our night much better after we had been yelled at by his colleague Matt.

EDIT: The owner, Mike, reached out to my friend and I to fix the situation, and we are extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism and respect we have received from Mike. Despite the situation from a few nights ago, we will be returning to the Loft.:)

Had a wonderful game night with friends! They have so many different games lining the walls, it's so hard to choose. The staff are super knowledgeable and nice, plus they recommended us games based on what we were playing all night. Cocktails and food were awesome (expensive, but definitely worth it) and the atmosphere was welcoming overall. 100% will be going back

+ The atmosphere at this place is great! They have lots of boardgames and there's someone helping you choosing and understanding the games. The videogames room have different consoles (including vintage ones).

- Food was not good. Burgers were burnt and tasteless, and my "not virgin cocktail" had no alcohol at all. It was disappointing.

As of April, there's a playing fee of $8 per person in the boardgame room.

This is a food only review, never been inside.ordered on uber eats because i saw they were giving free pierogis $20+ spent.was expecting mediocre bar food.i have ordered their chicken tenders ~10 times in the past 2 weeks.
