This firm does not care about their clients’ money and will gouge them for every last penny they can.

First I hire them to assist with settling a construction lien matter. This was already an unfortunate situation as I had paid the contractor whom didn’t pay their subcontractor. After months of just “administrative” work and watching my legal fees add up to more than the actual lien amount, I decided to settle the lien and simply pay the subcontractor, as I felt like I was getting more ripped off by Lexpand than the contractor. Whenever I’d bring up my concerns to Behrouz in regards to the unnecessarily high amount of time and legal fees being expended on this application, he would simply say “It’s going to get a lot more expensive”.

I was also using them for the sale of the same property. The private lender with whom I had a 2nd mortgage required 15 days notice prior to closing, otherwise there’s a significant penalty. Not only was this noted on the documents provided to Lexpand, but they had also dealt with this same lender prior and are well aware of this requirement. Still, they didn’t provide them with the required notice, and a hefty fine of over $10,000 was imposed. When I confronted Behrouz about this, he defended himself by saying they would have had to do more work by requesting an additional statement of account 15 days prior, and that this is their standard procedure. You would think at the very least they would learn from their mistakes!
