I went to this shop for an oil change, and I was not happy with my experience. They advertise low prices for oil changes, but they end up charging you more than you expect.

The service was rushed and didn't seem thorough. It felt like they were more interested in making money quickly than doing a good job. I wouldn't be surprised if they used cheap oil or cut corners.

The customer service wasn't great either. The staff didn't seem to care about my concerns with the pricing.

In short, I wouldn't recommend this shop. They advertise low prices but charge you more, and the service isn't up to par. There are so many auto shops nearby. AVOID this one!

I had a really disappointing experience with Alan's services for exhaust work. Despite being recommended by a local mechanic, I found Alan to be anything but honest. He claimed to only make necessary recommendations for repairs, but I felt pressured into agreeing to costly repairs that I'm not convinced were actually needed. Alan's poor communication skills and lack of transparency further contributed to my dissatisfaction. Overall, I would caution others against seeking his services and suggest looking for more reliable professionals in the area.

I had a troubling experience at this exhaust shop where customer records were not maintained, and there are allegations of tax evasion. Despite my request for an invoice after a month, no record of my transaction was found since I paid cash, and the shop owner denied any knowledge of my existence as a customer. Committed to accountability, I will be reporting this incident to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to ensure proper investigation and address these concerns regarding compliance with legal requirements and the potential for tax evasion.

These guys are a joke. I had dual exhaust installed on my truck and have had nothing but problems with it since, first, all the hangers were breaking off because they were installed wrong, after the 4th or 5th time, wasting my time, I had to take it somewhere else to get it done correctly, also not even a year later they are trying to sell me a whole new system because mine was junk, they wanted to charge me twice as much as the first time. Also, when they did it the first time I wanted to keep my old system, and they couldn’t find it like 3 hours after they did it, wouldn't let these guys fix a go-kart at this point what a joke!

I usually go to a car shop nearby, but yesterday my regular shop had fully booked. So, I randomly pick this L&G, which takes walk-ins and no lineup. Somehow, I was not satisfied with the service and the tied selling. They keep selling me the service I Don’t need, and in the end, they charge higher until I agree to pay in cash. Now I know why they don’t have a lineup while other shops are busy. As some of the before comments mentioned, there are a lot of similar shops closely, so it is not necessary to come to this cheating shop. Be CAREFUL of their tied selling.

Honestly, avoid getting your car fixed here! They stole my catalytic converter & would not give it back. They did not contact me back after about any updates. They will try to scam you out of your money. After like a week my car started making a loud rattling noise. If you do decide to get work done here watch everything they do! Do not leave your car! Check your car before you leave!

If you don't have much knowledge of the exhaust system of your car, don't go there. They won't guide you well and rip you off. Again they will RIP YOU OFF. You worked hard for your money, and their guidance will cost you a lot. BE CAREFUL!

Did the exhaust modification without appointment, just want increase a little bit sound for my car. The result is louder than the owner Alan suggested. Got a traffic ticket because of the loud sound. Cops said this is street illegal. If proper disclosure happened, I don’t have to pay the ticket as a lesson. How come this kind of service can exist? All this shop just wanna money they don’t care if you will got a ticket！

Alan from L&G specialist is a very kind and responsible owner who is very accommodating to my unique automotive needs. His staff such as Emma, Tango and Steve, were very nice and professional. Highly recommended!

I am very happy I chose to go to L&G for my first ever custom exhaust on my Audi S5. After explaining to them what I was looking for in terms of volume and tone, they fitted Magnaflow mufflers and tips paired with my x-pipe. The car now sounds perfect. I am very happy with the craftsmanship and customer service provided.

Got quoted to fix the leak in my exhaust system, but after they started the job, another problem just kept coming.initial quote of $300 became $500+ by the time they finished the job. I know they know what they are doing since they do this job daily, but they play tricks on ya. Be Aware, They are Quick but also very "quick" to get money from my pocket. I used to like and trust Alan but my last visit did not impress me. I felt like he was a bit of a con artist.

I like the payment method here. When pay by cash then no tax. But no invoice provided that is why I rate them 2 stars. Cost is a little pricey if top up HST compared with the other muffler shops. Shopping around the price before coming by so you guys will have a rough idea.

Spent $1200 CASH in electric exhaust cutouts for my Car in July. I did got a traffic ticket in August since the cop said it illegal to have an exhaust cutout in the exhaust system that produces excessive noise. However, the owner Allen never mentioned this before doing this job. Now I need to pay the traffic ticket ($110 plus 2 demerit points) and was required to reverse the exhaust system to original. Basically, I spent thousands of dollars for nothing. Clearly this garage just want the money. No more trust with this shop anymore. Stay away!

Just had the flex pipe on my VW GTI replaced by L & G Auto.
They quoted me 2-3 hours to replace the flex pipe, they had it done much quicker. I arrived 1/2 hour early, as I actually am not even close to their shop. They got me in right away. They pretty much stayed on the quoted price for the job as well.

I am just amazed on how they welded the flex pipe in. Just unbelievably. The mechanic that welded in the pipe was just amazing.

I drove that car home not an exhaust rattle, sound etc. I actually stalled the car because it is so silent now.

Super friendly staff, was joking around with the owner.

I am not a review writing kind of person, rarely do I write one. I actually read a few reviews last night, there are a few negative ones. I almost called to cancel my appointment. I am so glad I did not, this shop is amazing! Not sure why the negative reviews this shop is great.

I worked for a national exhaust chain and the chain would not even attempt to have done what L & G Auto did. The chain store would sell a $1800 after market down pipe with catalytic convertor not replace just the flex pipe. These guys measured tons and cut once. This is why the car sounds like it did when it was new and no rattles. My quoted price was not even a 1/4 of the $1800 a chain would want. Best thing is I still have the OEM catalytic convertor. Needless to say very impressed with the quality of work.
I have some custom stainless steel exhaust work coming up and L & G Auto will be my first choice

L&G has been my go-to exhaust shop for the past 8 years and continues to be so. Alan is honest, knowledgeable, and takes time to explain each aspect of the repair while taking in consideration your expectations. He works with you to develop a repair solution that is tailored to your needs. Whereas at other shops for example, they will just try to make a sale based on low prices. They'll just grab the cheapest possible aluminized exhaust parts (that just don't hold up and they don't tell you this!) put together using sloppy welds or cheap exhaust clamps and send you out the door.

The experience of my appointment today was no different from the past. Brought in my car to have a rotten Y-Pipe replaced. They were able to fabricate a custom stainless steel replacement from scratch (including all the proper bends) and have me on my way in just about an hour. Not to mention, they took time to adjust my mufflers so that the orientation of the tips were to my liking before fully welding the pipe in place (talk about attention to detail!).

This is just a short example of why I continue to vouch for and recommend L&G to friends, family, and users on various automotive related forums for exhaust work.

I agree with the below Cheri review. Moreover when I checked Kiijiji I saw my catalytic converter was selling for $450. Also take that part because it can be sold for hundreds of dollars. Can’t believe the original one and the after market pieces has that big gap. I wish I keep that part and saves myself $450.

Steve and Alan are helpful. Took my car in to get it checked for an exhaust leak. They did not charge me for it. Alan is the owner and well mannered, whereas, Steve helped and confirmed that there was NO exhaust leak. Very happy and I would recommend everyone with exhaust issues to see Steve and Alan.

Good stuff, in this place, you can bargain the price.pay cash gets 25% discount. Well, kind of save money, but hopefully it's not they increase the original fee.btw, after discount, no receipt, that's why i rate it 3.

They are fast and pros when it comes to exhaust. Price was okay-ish. Would not say cheap or expensive. I guess there is a flat rate for flange change irrespective of make and model. They honoured the time though. In and out in 45 min. Appointment is a must.

Feb 25: I had my new exhaust parts installed here (Vibrant bottle resonator and Vibrant Streetpower Oval Muffler part#1046). Everything went really well, excellent welds by Steve and the install look really nice! When I was driving there was a lot of drone inside the car (it really hurt my ears! LOL). The next day I contacted Emma and told her about it the problem - she was very helpful. I ordered a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator (part#1140).

March 2: I returned to the shop. I talked to Emma and Steve in regards to the problem – both very helpful. Steve said he would move the bottle resonator to the rear and install the new resonator mid-section. There are now two resonators on my car and the inside my car noise is a lot better!

Great service. Friendly and knew exactly how to fix my exhaust issue. Replaced the pipes in my dual exhaust and made everything super nice and quiet. I come from an hour away because there is no one better and it's worth the drive.
On my second car installed an X pipe to replace the original rusting pipe and again excellent service and fast.
I send all my friends here for exhaust related issues on our cars.

Discovered this place via Kijiji as they had a special for doing timing belt and water pump. They do more than just fix your broken exhaust systems!

The staff (Emma and Allen to be specific) were absolutely amazing with communication and sending me pictures as the work was being done and providing me with recommendations for what I have to look at next.

The price was definitely more than fair. Allen and his technicians were very knowledgeable about what they were doing and the recommendations were on par with what I have researched and told by other shops. His team is a solid 10/10!

Give them a shout and you won't be disappointed! Thought the work they did was so good that I had to give Allan a big hug when I picked up my vehicle. Thank you L&G team. See you guys soon!

Really an unbelievable experience. I was recommended this place by two people within a matter of minutes. One of which doesn’t live close to Markham at all.

Having owned a Smart car for a couple of years now, it is somewhat difficult to get service performed at a reasonable price. When the flex pipe on my rather expensive muffler blew out, I started searching for options and eventually I found L&G Auto on Kijiji and I am so glad that I did! I consider their fee to be very reasonable, their warranty is exceptional and I felt that they were very professional. They also completed a service that I know that I would not be able to get at many places due to the special nature of the Smart. You can be sure that I'll be telling my friends about the excellent service and the very reasonable price!

These guys hands down are the best exhaust shop in the city, I simply don't understand some of the negative reviews here some people are just never happy.

They did a full cat back on my Q50 a few years ago and allowed me to be part of the process to make sure everything lined up. Extremely happy with how they communicate and make you feel like one of the team.

I saw adds on Kijiji for custom exhaust shop. I called and they walked me through their process, told them exactly what I was looking for and they provided their recommendations. When I arrived, I met Leslie and Alan, both great guys. Alan knew exactly what I was looking for in term of sound and custom modified my my exhaust system. Let's just say that it sounds awesome, the way it was meant to be. No drone, not loud but very nice full sound for my Convertible BMW 435i. Love the roar as I step on it. Overall, the reviews are right, this is a great shop. Will recommend to many and will use them again in the future.

L&G Auto Place is professional and know what there doing but i had an issue where they kept my previous stainless steel piping which i paid for. Also it feels a little too rushed and there just trying to maximize profit and not maximize the customers satifaction.

A month ago, I had my SUV's front & rear rotor and brake pads (OEM) replaced at L&G auto service. I waited for several weeks before writing a review. Got my exhaust y-pipe replaced a few weeks ago. Really quick, friendly service and honest advice. Reset battery myself and the original issue of the check engine light due to leaky exhaust was resolved! No unnecessary repairs, awesome!

The good bit’s first. Their diagnostics is free. I came in for a suspected exhaust leak. They lifted the car and another person used a ladder to get up and rev the engine. Also didn’t check engine codes before trying to fix the problem. Anyone who does exhaust work should have a smoke machine to test for leaks. Car was dropped back but didn’t bother to sanitize it. Nice people, I hope they take this review to get a smoke machine and take better precautions in sanitizing or wearing gloves when handling customers car. I’ll move it to 5 stars if they reply and get a machine. But I suspect I’ll be told this is how everyone checks for leaks.

Great Service, went to repair my broken down pipe and flex pipe.
They looked over the car and gave me a free estimate, which was a more than fair price. Fixed it right away and made sure to show me prior to taking it off the lift. Definitely recommend.

My 2005 Toyota Matrix needed the rear donut replaced for the second time and the original exhaust is almost 17 years old. L&G exhaust are artists with stainless steel exhausts and went the extra step to do a robust repair. These guys are artists with cars made with stainless steel exhaust. Most muffler places will say that the muffler can't be repaired, recycle the stainless steel exhaust for money and put on a cheap metal exhaust that only lasts for about a year if you're lucky. A stainless steel exhaust can easily last for 20 years as it has on my Toyota Matrix. Occasionally it will need repair which nobody wants to do except for L&G exhaust. Kudos to them

I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix that had a exhaust leak at the gasket in the donut just before the muffler. My car was noisy but not overly so.

Took it to Toyota on the Park and they replaced the gasket and bolts and after 200$ they said there was another hole in the upstream clamp of the donut. I wasn't amused and my Matrix was even noisier after the repair. The suggested I take it to a muffler shop to get welded.

I did some research and L&G had a Internet site that exactly described the repair my Matrix needed. They did it and now my exhaust sounds like it should.

Had a cracked flex pipe, exhaust fumes, etc and I made a last minute appointment. It was a about a 2hr job, and tested the entire exhaust system for any additional leaks. The cars great ️

Overall they did a great job, and I'll definitely be back for future service to be done to my car. I highly recommend this place, and the owner Alan is a really nice guy.

These guys know what their doing. After getting my exhuast fixed by these guys i looked under my vehicle and the way they bent the pipes and welded them looks jusy like factory. Furthermore the price they gave was amazing cant beat it with the quality they stand behind.

This was great! I wanted to upgrade my exhaust on my 2004 Honda Accord. I wasn't too sure what needed to be done, but they walked me through the process, and told me what they would recommend. I love that they didn't rush me into this. I needed to take 2 weeks to decide, and they were totally OK with it. I did a full cat back exhaust, res delete, upgraded the mid pipe to 2.5", and got a magnaflow cat, muffler and exhaust tip. Since I did get a custom exhaust, it did take about 4 hours. But I knew it was going to be a while, so I am super happy with how it turned out! These guys asked me everything before they did it, even how far out I wanted my exhaust tip. Super professional, and would highly recommend them! They even let me take pictures of the final product when it was still on the hoist. I was super nervous before I saw the beautiful final product, because most videos I researched of my car with an exhaust didn't sound good. But these guys made sure it sounded good, and I got what I wanted.
