Friendly and fast service. Took my taxes in, at peak tax season and they were done in less than two hours. Highly recommend.

Booked an appointment online, was not made aware it was a “drop off service”. Then upon completion they ASSUMED I wanted to file electronically so I now have to wait an additional 5-10 business days.
Should have just went with my original tax person as I’ve never had an issue like this before. Horrible experience

I file my tax here since 2015 and its a great pleasure for me to share my experience with them. Their customer service is the best I could get for filing tax. This time Allison helped me with my filing and she was so generous in explaining to me the whole process.they have the cheapest service charge and I got good tax return.

First impressions are everything, from my first phone call 2 week ago to coming in person the lady behind the counter (I'm so sorry I cant remember your name) has consistently surprised me with how happy she is and more than anything how helpful/informative she was with any questions or concerns I had. I highly recommend this place!

Been coming here for about ten years now. The new owners are amazing you can come in drop off your stuff and leave they take care of everything. If they have any questions for you or you for them they are always available by phone or email. Their response is either same day or next day. Super fast and friendly.

I've been coming to Liberty Tax on Ontario street for a couple of years now, and it seems each time I go it gets better.

The staff are super friendly, I've always had 100% accuracy when it comes to them doing my taxes, and honestly the price is really good. This year, obviously things were a little shaken up with COVID-19, but they had all the sanitary/health stuff in place (i.e. "used pens" disposal, shields, sanitizer) and they called me when my stuff was ready.

Another thing I might add, I was super worried about CERB causing me to lose my return that I normally get, which would've been pretty bad considering the kind of financial year many of us have been having, but the absolute lads at Liberty did it again, and they worked their magic so I got my return despite my worries!

Go check them out, you won't be disappointed.

I dropped off my income tax information at 1 oclock and they called a couple of hours later and said it was done. I could not believe they did it so fast. I will be coming here again next year for sure.

I was lied to, asked if I owed money was told no so I went ahead and did the taxes having to wait for a refund to come in the mail as I was just laid off and really couldn’t pay but if I was gonna get money back why not of course I owed kept the refund but you got paid so you lied to me I don’t recommend anyone going here don’t bother replying it doesn’t matter I definitely won’t be back how’s that for a review

Taxes here are easy and helpful, if they mess up it’s never a fault of yours and you can walk out knowing you’re all square with the government.

Liberty Tax was a big help in filing my taxes this year! Staff were incredibly friendly and we shared a few laughs! Family members of mine referred me, and I'm glad they did! I will be referring my friends there from now on! Thanks for everything!

Do Not Go Here!
We went in for an instant refund, only because our car broke down so we NEEDED cash fast, (normally we do our own returns).
Our prepper seemed to be in training but he was quick and a supervisor double checked everything twice so we were thinking everything would be fine.
Then after everything was signed and they were cutting us the cheque they informed us that we would only be getting a little over half of our "Instant Refund" and they dont know why. We would likely get the rest from head office who actually handles the money. We were at first told it usually takes a couple weeks but really could be any day and if we hear anything we can call back but if we dont receive anything by mid April then definitely call him.
We heard from CRA a week later stating that our assessment was complete and the $$$ would be sent to the tax preparer on March 18th. We called back to notify them but they had to talk to the representative who prepared our taxes. He (manager? , never once got his name) returned my call on the 17th to inform us that we shouldn't expect anything in mere days, that he; "never would have said anything less than four weeks" since it has to be mailed. He then tried to open our CRA account to verify our info but it was not working. He said to just wait.
The next day (18th) our assessment was made available to view on the CRA website and it said that the $$$ (full amount) was sent direct deposit to our tax preparer (liberty tax) minus any fees they would have charged.
I then called their head office to see if any answers could be offered as to why we would have to wait four weeks for them to mail us the remaining half of our "Instant Refund", they took our info, opened our file, made a "report", and told us that it take 24-48 hrs for someone to get back to us but gave us a ref number if we would like to check back in 24 hrs. Today upon calling to check back, we were told not to call them, someone from the local office would call me back.
We are quite unhappy. Having to wait for any amount of time for a check that may or may not be in the mail (they dont know) is ridiculous and False Advertising. We paid for an "Instant Refund" and continually are getting the run around. 4 weeks is a slap in the face! If we had done this ourselves we would have received everything in full, without fees, and we would have received it direct deposit.
Liberty tax received the full amount from the CRA, and the fees they charged us for their "service", there is absolutely NO reason for us to have to wait four weeks for the mail to show up (if it shows, they dont know).
Seriously people, go elsewhere, everyone's been paid I full except us! You dont need the stress.
