My experience with other staff were great, except this one. I am very concerned with one of the staff’s practice and my health and other patients’. After the lab technician cleansed the vein site with alcohol swab, she touched the vein site again with her gloved hand before taking the blood with the needle. The glove is not sterile, she introduced bacteria to the vein site again! It happened so quick that I did not have the chance to tell her, that she need to clean the vein site again and not touch the vein site again with her gloved hand before needle insertion. After the vein site is cleansed with alcohol swab, only the needle suppose to go to the site. If lab technicians want to double check the vein site, make sure they are cleaning the vein site again before inserting the needle. Patient should not have to tell lab technician about this. The lab technicians should know what is the best practice and not to put patients under risk of infection! I hope the management is actually reading this and fixing the wrong practice. Staff needs to be re-educated and making sure they are doing the best practice. I hope next time when I visit the LifeLab, I can see every staff doing the best practice and don’t have to worry about bacteria going into my bloodstream and get sick!

4 or 5 ladies in the front reception chatting away. Nobody in waiting room. Was asked if I had an appt. Lol. Then told to sit in the cubicle for my bloodwork. Listening to all the chatter for 5 minutes. Still waiting. 10 min and only came after I asked for my paperwork to be returned.

Even though walk-in clients are now allowed and appointments are no longer required, I would strongly recommend making an appointment whenever possible. It will usually mean a 5-10 minute visit rather than a one hour long visit!

Great experience! I came to this location after being at the Davis Drive location where I was told they “couldn’t perform 2 of my required tests”. They brought me in as a walk-in, I was seen within 20 minutes, minimal discomfort, didn’t even come close to passing out (like I had just experienced at the other location). They were friendly, skilled and I would highly recommend this location.

Absolutely 0, personality. No "hello" no "how are you? ". Took my rec, took my card. Told me to sit. Called my name. Told me to go into room 1. Told me to make a fist.poked me then Told me to have a good day.
As a Licienced HCP. I'm embarrassed for my industry if this is now the standard.

Oh almost forgot.room 1.blood splatter on the wall. Embarrassing.

Staff were EXTREMELY rude, especially at the Front desk, they gave attitude to every customer that came in. Also a lot of eye rolling. It seemed like they we’re doing us a favor rather than their job. I’m so disappointed i always come here and see the same things every time. Infact a lady was yelling at a man because he couldn’t speak English. Disgusting.

Had a blood test done today. This was my first experience with Lifelabs and I believe it's the last one as I've had a bad feeling about this location and the standards. I did my blood test and when headed back home I receive a call from the technician asking me go back to the lab as 2 tests were missed! Unfortunately I came back and let him done the last tube; he was shaking while taking my blood test and at the end of the day wasn't able to get enough sample, later I realized I have had bleeding from where he was taking blood (I normally close my eyes when doing blood test as I'm not comfortable). Now I'm really concerned about the entire experience; right now I'm over the phone with lifelabs call centre since an hour ago as 17330 Leslie St.is not answering and no luck so far to talk to someone.

I stay there since 7: 30 am to 11: 50 pm, just for blood test! Getting appointment is useless!

This is worse place and service. Being preganant I waited for line up 1 hours to talk to lady in front. I was there by opening 7: 30 am. Finally I spoke to her and she asked me wait until 11: 45am that meant almost closing time so basically I waited in lab 5 hours to lab work done because I don't have online booking. I don't have word to express my sadness and disappointment to this location.

Went 7: 10 am and was out by 8: 30 am which was great since I was walk in. The only disappointment, there was visually impaired man who I assisted to speak to the person who checks your documents and tell you when to go in. He was having problems connect to the site using his voice recognition and obtain an appointment for himself and his brother who is also visually impaired. Please LIFE LABS please try your best and facilitate the differently able especially the visually impaired. And he was very understanding, polite and willing to accept any help once given.

After reading the "horror stories" on the reviews, I postponed going to this location until I couldn't anymore. I arrived at 7: 30am, ready to give my name and wait out in the cold. For my surprise, there's an organized line in front of the lab, and the person screening the patients before they could go in was EXTREMELY nice. There were 4 people in line outside, and a few already inside, so they only let you in if there's enough space inside - that said, there are plenty of safely distant chairs outside. I got number 12, and was able to wait inside. In less than 15 minutes I got called, and the person who collected my blood was very professional and light handed - didn't feel a thing. In summary, I was in and out in less than half an hour, and had overall a great experience!

I never had any bad experiences with life labs. Staff was always nice except this location. Everyone seems nice except one lady who did for my blood work. I don't know that's how she talks or was just being rude to people. I made an appointment early in the morning so I can enjoy my rest of day off. She ruined. If you ask her something, she will give you attitude with loud voice like yelling! I don't know why she is working there if she is not happy to work.

I believe the worst life lab is this, they had one hour delay and the nurse who try to get blood sample she really hurt my hand, and still after more than 5 days my result is not ready i will not going there any more although it is closest location to my home

All online appointments booked up till next year so in order to get anything done you need to line up before they are open at 7.30 and book your slot for the day. Kinda defeats the purpose of not getting many people in the same spot at the same time

2. Didn’t give me my health card back, had to come back to get it and it took awhile for them to find it
3. Card reader would not work to pay for tests

Had a full panel of blood work done at this location today. Total time took around an hour and a half, most of which was spent waiting in line. Yes this was long but I presume the longer times was due to it being a Friday afternoon and with the extra COVID related safety measures.

Try coming earlier if you would prefer not/cannot wait as long in line and forget about the online save a spot thing - not accurate according to fellow line waiters. Staff are trying their best to process everyone in an orderly and SAFE manner.

Nurse who took drew my blood was patient and gentle despite my veins being notoriously difficult to find. Kudos to them for keeping their cool when they were so backed up!

Only recommendation is for this office to put up better signage to direct folks to the appropriate line: walk-in vs.appointments.

They are doing great job, especially with the new rules under the Pandemic. The guy doing the walk- in appointments is doing awesome work. Keep up the good work

Worst customer service! I reserved in advance through “Save my spot! ” and was notified that it was not working for them for 6 weeks. The lady was rude on answering questions and only demanded yes or no answer to wait. Definitely not recommend for people who are tight on schedule.

They lack customer service skills especially when politely trying to clarify the information given. In addition, they posted a sign on the door saying that they would be back in 15 minutes and after coming back 30+ minutes later, they took people in random order.

I tried to tell them that my newborn was waiting in the car and would start crying for food soon and they placed me in room and made me wait 15 minutes longer.

Everytime i have gone in, the guy at the front Mack is his name (i think) is just awesome! He is always in a great mood and he does his absolute best to accommodate you.

Waited over 35 minutes for a 9: 40 appointment only to get in at 10: 10 and only AFTER watching people going before me who's appointments were allater than mine and all I got from the staff was a shoulder shrug after brought it to their attention

Even with an appointment the wait was an hour long and no one available to speak to until called in.

Staff here are rude and clearly lack customer service skills. They only care about leaving on the dot and won't service you, even if it takes an additional 5 minutes to do so - and to be clear I arrived 2.5 hours before closing.

The South East Asian lady (from her accent she sounded like Filipino) very rude, disrespectful, no customer service skills at all and very unprofessional. She tossed the laboratory requisition paper that I received from my family doctor back to me before I even finish my question sentences and luckily I was able to catch the paper right away. Then she called the next customer in line without giving me a chance to ask further questions. Hope LifeLabs management will correct and discipline unprofessional staff like her.
