Appointments don't mean anything at this location. You have to wait atleast 30-50 mins.

Went there for a blood test this morning. The receptionists were polite. I went around 11 am. I did not have an appointment. It was a little busy and I was done in 45 mins. The lady who took my blood test was super polite. This will be my go to LifeLab from now on.

They charge extra $$ and they don’t give it back.

Visited the lab on 7 June for blood test and they charged $12 for vitamin D test. Later the day they called and told me that they have done some mistake in billing and I should come again and pay $41 or they will not process my results.

I visited again and paid $41 the next day and was informed that I will receive $12 back within a week.

1 month have passed I called them already 4-5 times regarding the issue and I haven’t received my money back.

Went on a Wednesday with 1: 30 pm appointment. Got there at 1: 30 pm for my bloodwork. They were done with me by 1: 35 pm. When I got there, there were only 3 people waiting. Not sure if they have appointments or walk-ins. As soon as I got into the lab, they ask me if I have an appointment and ask me to check if the info from my form is correct. They sent me to a room in less than a minute. The blood work was done in less than 2 minutes. Fastest service of my life.

I am a student and I had a full blood test and ECG done. The staff was very very kind, I didn’t have an appointment it was a walk-in. I waiting 40-45 which was very normal. They prioritize appointments first which is good. They are very steady and kind with patients.
The nurse that tested me was so kind, I was very nervous but she handled me so well. The reviews on this lab might say something else but if you have patience to go through this, it is definitely worth it. Very very very generous nurses.

I would rate this lab a 5 star because of a lady name Elleen, her profession skill surprised me. I walked in for a blood test at very early morning and Elleen took my paper while I need to do ultrasound from other clinic, when I came back, I did not need to wait, she prepared to take blood test for me. I was prepared to get 2 or 3 shot because my blood vessel is hard to find, that from my previous experience. She only gave me one shot and very quick to get blood, that so impressed me.

Halter monitor put on for 24 hrs. I explicitly informed them I needed the hypoallergenic stickers because I get a skin reaction. The technician said they were, yet I could tell within 30 min I was getting a reaction. When they were removed the next day, another technician confirmed they don’t have the hypoallergenic stickers there at all. Horrible professionalism too be dishonest about the healthcare I was receiving.

I had a really disturbing experience with one of the employees at this location, Eileen, was rude and unprofessional - raising her voice when we spoke so that people in the waiting room could hear my identifying information being shared which violates my right to medical privacy protected under PHIPA. She was rude from the beginning which, as a healthcare provider myself, I don't support this behaviour but I understand how difficult it can be. What I do not understand is when she followed me on my way out to confront me and yell at me - not a word of a lie. I know there is zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour from patients but this was aggressive behaviour from staff - as I was walking out looking down at my phone.

This was investigated by management. I was told that she was having a bad day. I quote the email I got from management " we cannot improve service if we are unaware of the lapses. " Eileen has been working here a long time and I was told that no other complaints had been filed so this just went on her record. If you are treated poorly by Eileen, you should bring it to management's attention, the supervising staff will look into it. I hope after this she does not do this again to another person - it was a jarring experience.

I wish I read reviews before coming here. This place does not respect appointment times. What's the point of an appointment if you don't stick to the time? I had an appointment but still waited 1 hour, as if I was a walk in patient! Ridiculous. And the wait room is extremely small and cramped. Only good thing was my technician Christine who was very polite and gentle while doing my bloodwork. My actual bloodtest took under 5minutes! I will stick to my usual lifelabs location and never return here.

Helpful staff, had no wait time for a walk-in that we utilized. Place was clean would rate them 4.5 and only deduction of 0.5 for not having small bandages for post blood work application.

Worst lab services available in this area. They accept walk in appointments but don’t have staffs to handle walk-ins along with scheduled appointments. Waiting time is way too long if you don’t have an appointment even if you have a priority test.

My go to spot. Love the energy from the manager. Shes so kind and funny. Most bad reviews are from peak covid era. Staff shortages are real. People dont get that. Its a small place for a large volume of people. Dont blame the staff.

Worst experience ever. I came on time for my appointment and then had to wait around in the winter cold for 20 minutes and then was told that I have to come at an earlier time because my blood work was going to “take too long. ” I don’t get why they even let me book an appointment at that time in the first place if they knew they wouldn’t be able to do it that late in the day. Waste of time

Went to get simple blood work done. The last time i went to this location the tech had to get someone else to find my vein after missing in BOTH arms. Same tech this morning, same result except when she missed in the second arm and said she was going to get help, I walked out. Wont be back to this location under any circumstances.

Worse Laboratory ever if you have to visit, please put right entry Sign in front of laboratory Entry doors, people's are running in and out to find out right entrance, please don't shout on old people if they don't understand English well, show your professionalism because you're part of essential medical service. There should be enough employee always on board so it will reduce stress on single receptionist.

Do not go to this place as they make you wait outside in the freezing cold for at least 30 minutes. Staff are very nice though. They should rent some open sided tents with heaters at least.

This place is not good.the main entrance in the Buidling is closed. So you have to wait in the parking lot at a side door which also is a patient room. There was a man sitting in the room waiting while I was waiting outside and people going in and out.

I booked a 2pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. To wait outside for more than 30 minutes. I knocked and no one answered. I called and no one answered.

I should have listened to the reviews this is a horrible location. Needs a complete overhaul.

Wow, this place is ridiculous. Today I have an appointment at 11: 40am and I called around 9: 45am to ask if I shall fast or not, after 20 minutes being on line, I was told this place is CLOSED today. No one had called me a day prior to reschedule my appointment.

Horrible service. Went on July 22. Had appointment for 11: 40 But was seen at 12: 20. There were at least 8 people in a tiny space. No one was standing at 6 ft apart. Not even the patients. I counted at least 10 people in line waiting outside the door. It was a horrible experience during such times where you are trying to avoid gathering with so many people. To add to all this, I had 2 requisitions. 1 was processed. The other was canceled and no one informed me about this. I call my doctors office and they told me my blood sample was canceled. Now I have to get a new requisition and waste time going back there again and getting potentially exposed. I was trying to limit trip to such places and now have to make more trips due to these type of errors. I went back to life labs and they told me that they were suppose to charge me for that test but when I asked them 3 times they said they already charged me for the test that needed to be done (which was a separate vitamin D test). In reality they didn't charge and didn't bother calling me back to charge me at least so that the sample doesn't get wasted. Things can be done more efficiently.

Always “running behind”! Lack of staff. Newest COVID Plan is to have patients line up outside (southern exposure) rain or shine. I’ve been rained on and also 42°C heat! Unbelievable when the is a perfectly adequate building lobby that could be utilized with lots of space for social distancing.

Awful service at this location. Went for an 11: 45am appointment and wasn't seen for over an hour later. Everyone was lined up outside in the blazing sun and we weren't addressed by any staff member until almost an hour later (they lock the door and ask you to wait to be addressed). There were pregnant women and elderly waiting hours in the heat. We specified that specific tests were needed when booking the appointment online and when finally seen the staff said that these tests were not specified and therefore they could not complete one of the tests. Very disappointing as we had traveled quite a distance. From line up to finish the appointment took over two hours. Avoid this location at all costs.

I would give this location ZERO stars if I could. I made an appointment for blood work and an ECG. Arrived on time and was told to wait. I waited about 40 minutes and then went to the front desk to ask if it would take much longer and was told that my ECG could not be done as their machine had broken down and I would need to come back for that test. I was really shocked as nothing had been said about not being able to do my test when I had checked in, and if I had not gone up to the front desk after waiting as long as I did (with an appointment time booked) I have no idea how much longer I would have waited before anyone would have bothered to tell me that they couldn't do my ECG. I asked for my requisition form and health card back and told them I would go elsewhere - which I did. I went right over to the Life Labs at Centenary Hospital and was in and out with both tests completed within thirty minutes - no appointment, FIVE star treatment at that location. Do yourself a favor don't book at the Markham Road location!

I should have read the reviews before booking an appointment here. Very disorganized - did not collect health card and requisition together so they were misplaced when asked for them. One receptionist, the red haired woman, was berating the other receptionist within earshot of clients in the waiting room; it was uncomfortable. You also have to bring your urine sample to the waiting room and deposit it yourself in the mini fridge. They should provide a paper bag or something so it's more discreet! The only reason why I'm not giving this location a 1 star is because the nurse that took my blood sample was very sweet and professional.

I hope they don't misplace my records/tests and delay my time-sensitive test results.

Somehow takes walk-ins when appointments are made in 15 min intervals. Waited for an hour to even be seen. Extremely unorganized. Go to some other lab/location if you can.

Very very bad service. Because my appointment time is 9: 30 am. I did 10: 45. Also there waiting area is very less and there is no exhaust. That place is very narrow and there is more patients waiting in Que line. It's very danger in this situation. I want to write more but I have no time. Any way next time I don't want to go this place.

I did the blood test on Feb 11,2021 at the 1200 Markham Road location. They have not send my report yet to my doctor. Every time I call, they tell me that they can not find any report. One time I spoke to a guy from the call center and he told me that they put the health card number wrong and it will be adjusted and you should be able to see the report in few days, but until now I do not see my result in mylifelab. My doctor’s office called them too and they were told that they don’t see any report for that date under my name or health card number. I even had to pay from my pocket for one of the test as it was not covered by the OHIP. I will never go to life lab ever in my life. I need to know what has happened to my blood test result.

I booked an appointment for 10: 20am for Feb 8th 2021 and they are calling all walking first. I am wondering what is the point to book an appointment? It is now 11am still I am waiting. Next time shouldn't come this place again. Never keep promise. Who has an appointment at 10: 25 after me was line up behind me she went to front desk and already done blood test by passing my appointment.

The worst place for medical laboratory i hv ever visit.i asked to give report to me which they were saying that u will get in 48 hours and its more then that what still they didn’t give me the report.worst staff and very bad experience.they even dont know how to talk with patient

The Worst Worst Worst worst and the MOST WORST Receptionist seriously. I was 7 month pregnant they dont even treat you as a human let alone as a pregnant. I Thibk the Ministry of Health should screen them

Lady sitting at the reception area, who wears bandana.she is so rude, i am a nurse from back home even we don't talk to our patients like that she needs to learn warmth which is so important when you work in health care sector patients who already are stressed because of health issues this kind of behavior can easily make them feel unwanted and depressed all i know is if a nurse or health care worker or a tech is not warm and welcoming you will only spread negativity around you nothing else, have some courtesy. And i wish I could request health care department to release such nurses or tech from this noble service.
