Went for blood work and the staff at the counter were professional and efficient. The technician who did my blood work was very kind. She put me right at ease and was gentle. I would recommend this location for blood draws.
This place 1333 Neilson Rd is a worst place to go for blood test. I had an appointment at 4: 10pm but they take walk in first. When I asked the receptionist Philippine lady why do i have to wait she replied waiting is upto you. She sounds like she does not care about patients. She sent me to the room at 4: 30pm and she gave the wrong file to the blood testing room. SHE MIX UP THE PATIENS. Worst place to go for a blood test. The Philippine lady did the paper work at the reception. I asked her name she refused to tell. They do not have name tags. The blood testing done by another girl. She was a professional. I went here today, did not even wait more than 5 minutes. Staff is very efficient and fast. Thanks to Theresa, she is very helpful and informative, she gave me instruction how to access my result. She made my visit today awesome!
Worst service ever! There was a huge line up of patients and the man working at the front didn’t care at all. He completely ignored whoever in front and was working in his computer without acknowledging at all. Very rude staff!
The man who works here need to learn empathy. I know there are a lot of people but raising your voice at people shouldn’t be accepted. Especially people who has communication barriers. Please be kind.
Extremely well organised. I booked an appt on line yesterday and there was no wait time today, unlike two other locations I visited last week. The waiting room was empty and covid safety procedures were strictly observed. I will only go to this location in future.
I was a bit hesitate to go to this place given those negative reviews. But noticing most negative comments were provided months ago, I'd like to give it a try as it's an early open lab close to my home. It turns out to be a comfortable experience. No terrible security guard, no desrespectful old lady. People at the reception desk are professional, kind and patient. Eventhough some information was missing in my requisition, they still provided the service and helped me coordinate with my clinic. For sure, you have to wait prolonged time to get serviced but come on, what else you can expect when you attend health service in Canada?
On their website it showed 8 mins walk in wait time. Got there, to find out unsurprisingly that it's a 77 min wait. I decided perhaps I can wait. They didn't bother to take my name or keep track of the order in which the patients came in. The front staff was yelling at a patient in the most rude way and I promptly left. If you hire people that would treat your patients this way, I hope those that are taking blood are not some low class hire off the streets. Absolutely appalling! Hire those that at least have some manners. Read the rest of the reviews on here.
Its always hard to find my veins. So as soon as I entered I mentioned this to the staff so they are aware. I hadn't waited more than 4-5 minutes until I was called in. Theresa came to start the process. She listened to my concerns, was friendly, made me feel extremely comfortable, and was in general a very gentle and kind person. I didn't even feel when the needle went in and when 6 vials were taken. All was perfect, until I felt dizzy. Theresa did EVERYTHING to help but my vasovagal response kicked in and I fainted. Theresa gave me water (literally fed it to me because I was so dizzy) and stood by me. After I came back to consciousness, Natalie was putting ice packs on my back, and a wet towel on my face. Theresa came running back with a snack (I'm pretty sure it was from her own lunch, god bless her) and had me eat it until I was better. Another gentleman brought me water while another staff member came to check on me. The entire team was absolutely amazing! I never would have thought I would faint but I'm so glad it happened with this team! We joked and laughed. And although I was super embarrassed, they didn't make me feel it at all!
I wish I could give 20/10 stars! But Theresa and Nawal need recognition! They truly cared, not just to show face! Thank you so much to them both!
My mother was turned away, she made an appointment, showed them her confirmation and told the time of the appointment. Security was rude and desk staff as well. Don't go here.
These people are rude. They think people have time to come 3 times. They are not specific with instructions. They speak in their own language talking about people behind their desk.
Very poor service. Never pickup calls. Unable to login to make an appointment, it doesn't move when used password or changed password as well. Creepy service. Don't trust their website.
This was my first time at this busy location. First of all I think anywhere you have healthcare professionals working short of staff, busting their butts from patient to patient with little to no break, should be appreciated regardless.
I would have given 5 stars however after speaking with an employee and I will keep her name confidential for obvious reasons, I realize Life Labs does not allow their employees proper break times. These staff need to work through their break in order to fit the appointment patients as well as the walk ins and to me that’s not fair at all.
Life Labs you need to treat your staff better and offer an efficient scheduling window for the walk ins/appointment times so they do not interfere with your blood techs breaks. Unhealthy work environments = unhappy and overworked staff = early burn out. Every worker especially those in the healthcare field need their breaks in order to function better. I applaud the staff here who work day in and day out for their money but I hope better opportunities come their way or Life Labs treats them better as they do deserve to work in a better environment especially since they POKE people for a living.
Sorry for the rant my experience overall was pleasant in terms of the customer service. I waited about 30 minites in the waiting room and another 15 in the patient cubicle. This is a very busy location so keep that in mind.
Lastly please be kind and understanding to your health care staff who aren’t just Doctors, at the end of the day they are also apart of your journey to bettering your health.
