The front desk receptionist was very rude. There was an older man who couldn’t hear too well and politely asked her to repeat what she said, and she sighed and yelled at him.

The phlebotomist I had was kind and well experienced.

What's the point of making an appointment if you have to wait for 30 minutes anyways? Stupid.

I had to wait over 2hrs to get my blood work done, they couldn't find my email and I had to resend it 8 times before they got it. Had to fill out paperwork on top of it. They were accepting walk-ins even knowing they were filled up with appointments which added to the wait time. This is supposed to be a place for people to "just walk in" but the wait is just too long. Either you just do appointments or you just do walk-ins but not both. This is what happens when we privatize our health care. We might not be paying for it but it's not run by the government. Shouldn't something that is making money be faster than government run? Is that not what we are being told as Canadians?

I will come back for bloodwork and urine sampling here!

Located on the 4th floor. There is a small elevator that will bring you up.

All the staff are friendly, professional and experienced. I have a hard time with a lot of nurses not finding my veins because of eczema scar tissue on my arms. These ladies consistently find my viens without issue and know how to transition between test tubes.

The general spaces are clean. You will see pee on the floor or on the toilet seat in the bathroom.

Book an appointment online. They usually have spots open for the next day. Otherwise, you can walk in. If you do walk in, I'd recommend going in the morning, and if you can't try again tomorrow.

FYI, OHIP doesn't cover Vitamin D and AST testing through bloodwork. It cost me $55.

Don’t smile! The male there raised his Voice cause I could not understand him with his heavy accent. Not impressed, but they do try to be quick with patients.

Both times I booked an appointment I waited over 40min past my appointment time. I'm not convinced making an appointment makes any difference, seems like I'm just slotted in with the walk in people. I showed up 10min to 15min eary, wasting even more time than walk ins.

I am from the United States visiting for over a month and ran our of Descovy Prep early. I came to LifeLabs hoping they could help. Instead, the ladies at registration laughed in my face as they turned me away.

I should also mention that when you arrive you have to register in front of a waiting room full of people sitting not five feet away that can hear everything you say. No privacy. It was humiliating. This is not a stigma-free or judgment-free establishment. I think it is terrible that someone like me goes to a place like this for help and is treated this way and given no help.

The ladies that run this clinic honestly are so sweet and do a great job. Make an appointment they see you on time. Had a 1230 appointment was back in the office 10 mins away before 1: 00pm.

So unorganized. People with booked appointments are slotted after walk-ins. And the appointment time isn’t even honored, a person with an appointment after mine was sent in before me. Tried to gaslight by saying my appointment was actually much later, had to argue and show booking confirmation as proof. What is the point of an appointment? Extremely unprofessional

Don't make an appointment here because appointment or not you will have to wait at least half hour. The labs in midtown (where I live) are much better with hardly any wait if you have an appointment

I had to remind them that i am on the reservation list because they never called me. I waited more than 40 mins over my reservation time.

Excellent friendly service. Wasn't busy when I went but prob best to book an appointment. Loida drew blood with zero pain and friendly cheerful chat. Great work!

LifeLabs does not respect our time by never being punctual with appointments, even when their waiting room is empty. They have no sense of urgency and don’t work efficiently.

The staff are lovely. Sadly whoever off sight is booking appointments book to many people. Therefore, there's a lot of frustrated clients. Wait times can be far to long. But the staff are great

Why make an appointment and wait 45 minutes to be seen, when you can just walk in and wait 45 minutes to be seen without having lost the 5 minutes of your life it took to make the appointment? Something I considered while I sat for 45 minutes waiting to be seen.

Booked a morning appointment about a week in advance for blood work, in and out in 15 minutes. Very efficient!

Took my youngest child to get blood work done for their first time. They were extremely anxious. The technician was patient and supportive. She offered them the opportunity to be lying down which put them at ease.

This is my prefer lifelabs to go. It's very close to my home. Staffs and receptionists are nice.
Generally speaking lifelabs are always busy so make an appointment if you don't want to wait. If you come anytime after 8 am and want to do walk in expect around 45 min wait. And it's for almost all locations.

Typical Lifelabs. Nothing special but also not as bad as a number of people here seem to note.

Staff is fine. Not friendly but if you want to make friends go to the bar across the street. If you want to get blood work done then remember 1) the person at the counter is just a RECEPTIONIST, 2) you're likely not the nicest person that the Phlebotomists are seeing that day either. Grow up it's a blood lab.

Bathroom can get dirty at times. But I bet you couldn't keep yours clean with 15-20 people an hour using it either. One time I visited I noticed that someone before me had missed the toilet by quite a lot. I informed the receptionist and she had someone clean it right away. So, maybe instead of complaining online about stuff, you may want to be a little more proactive.

As for wait time with an appointment vs walk-in, sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. But hey tell me any medical office these days that are on time. Bet you waited at your family doctor's office longer.

Not terrible but not good either. If you walk in, expect to wait at least an hour minimum. Even with appointments, you are supposed to wait 20-30 mins minimum. They need more staff. The receptionist are also the ones taking the sample blood. Which is absurd.

My partner was here today and had bloodwork/a heart checkup. As she was getting the heart check up done, which involves her to not have clothes from the waist up, some man randomly walked in and then left. The nurse said nothing and proceeded. This isn’t a safe space for being in vulnerable situations. Not locking the door or acknowledging it and apologizing? Pathetic.

Don't bother with this place unless you have an appointment. If you do not you might be waiting for literal hours. Not very convenient if you've just stepped out of a doctor's office with a requisition for tests.

Front desk lady was extremely rude and would not explain why I couldn’t get my test done, after a few minutes of conversation cause she wouldn’t explain why, she rudely yelled that I need to contact my doctor for another form. She could have told me this from the beginning and saved me a headache. I will never go back.

Update: I went to another life lab (I’m getting weekly tests) and somehow this life lab “misplaced” my weekly test sample.

Had an appointment but still had to wait. Then they don’t upload my results to my account online and they say there is no they that they can do. Pathetic won’t be returning to this Life Labs. Better off to walk in some where else.

The worst front desk I’ve met, just get away from that rude lady! She doesn’t even know how to respect people!

The staff at the front desk is disgusting! Not respect people at all! Suggest her go back to school to learn manner!

I went around 10am, waited for 5 mins and I was out 10 mins after that. The lady who took my blood was super nice and she was a pro. I pretty much didn’t feel the needle.

Always a pleasant experience at this location. I was in and out within 10 minutes with an appointment. Staff are professional, friendly, and competent. Thank you!

Booked an appointment here and I’m extremely unimpressed with the lack of basic manners from the staff.

The staff I talked to was a middle aged brown man with balding hair and a middle aged brown woman (March 22,2019 2: 20pm) at the front desk.

The middle aged brown man rolled his eyes and blatantly face-palmed when I told him where my family doctor is in the GTA.
I had to wait for him to finish face-palming before he could tell me more information.

They were rude and condescending probably because I’m a young person and look very young.
They said things like, “paper, do you know what that is? ”

Or ask in a condescending tone, “do you even know why you’re here? ”
But they wouldn’t let me answer and they would keep asking these unhelpful questions like,
“with what are you going to do a blood test with? ”
Asking these questions amused them.
It was very rude when they would smirk after asking these questions.

What a waste of my time. They could’ve just given me information but they really had to do that.

I did not deserve this behaviour, is it too much to expect to be treated with *some* decency?

The staff was rude and in dire need of customer service training. Terrible service all around. Don't go to this location you will regret it.

I loved coming here to get my blood tested. The filipino staff are especially caring and polite.

Staff are great and the online appointment booking is perfect for a busy schedule. The appointments are usually right on time from my experience.

I am an elderly women who arrived for an early morning appointment yesterday and the entire experience was seamless, smooth, friendly and helpful. I was in and out within 10 minutes. The staff were great. Professional, and competent. If I need any more blood tests, I would definitely choose to go here again.

I was in and out of there in 10 minutes! I conveniently booked my appointment online. When I arrived right at my appointment time at 11: 20am, I sat down for a couple of minutes and then it was my turn. Staff was friendly. It always helps to be friendly and be the first person to extend some kindness.:)
