I’m usually very sceptical about this life Labs and I hate blood work but the lady who did my blood work (Jaimini) was very kind and patient. It’s very rare that I won’t feel the needle but when Jaimini did it I felt nothing. Definitely one of my better life labs visits
There is always a line up and a long wait. Your best option is to book an appointment online. Booked appointments only have to wait 10 to 15 minutes to be seen. However appointments are well in the future, at least a month if you are looking for a Saturday or first thing in the morning.
Checked in to have bloodwork done. Sat for 3/4 of an hour waiting. My name was on their TV screen saying "9 more minutes". Then my name disappeared. I waited a few more minutes but not called in. Checked with staff and they said " you have to wait 1.5 hrs because you're a walkin". What? That's not fair or right. Very disappointed and they didn'ttell me i was bumped until i asked them. If I'm registered to go in I should not be bumped because they are behind in their appointments. Not acceptable for a lab.
I received an ECG from a doctor at this location today. While fully undressed from the waist up on the table and hooked up to the machine to my left, she received a knock at the door, answered it, and left to continue her conversation with the person knocking, outside of the room I was being seen in, with the door still entirely open. Not a warning, question, nor an apology was offered during this. I have never been more uncomfortable with a situation in a medical office than in this moment. It was so extremely inappropriate, I am still shocked and appalled to my core. Absolutely devastating experience.
Warning to all whom value their privacy! Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Leaving people in rooms fully exposed (naked) with doors open for anyone to see. Not to mention the rudeness! There’s a sign that says ‘rude, disrespectful behaviour will NOT be tolerated by staff there! Respect begins by giving it!
WOW! The rudeness is so overwhelming that it makes you second guess your visit. The lab assistants at front desk are RUDE, LOUD, IMPATIENT & INEXPERIENCED. They make NO EFFORT to explain and guide patients calmly and respectfully through testing. As for the actual Life Lab office space, it’s clean, spacious and modern. Will NOT come back because of front desk personal.
I recently visited the Vodden St E LifeLabs for some bloodwork. When I arrived there was a waiting room full of people and a line out the doorway. I could tell that people were feeling tired and there was a general sense of grumpiness in the air. In spite of this, every staff member I saw exhibited the most beautiful patience and kindness to everyone. I myself was held back twice as I waited in line because impatient people who hadn't made appointments were upset and got in the way of the lineup to talk with the front desk staff. Regardless of how rude or upset these people were, the LifeLabs staff remained calm and I heard them respond to every complaint and every grumpy client with clear and kind language. I had booked an appointment online and arrived on time for my appointment; I ended up waiting about 20 minutes to be called in even with the people jumping the line as I waited to check in. The technician who drew my blood was not only efficient and gentle, they were cheerful and kind even amid the chaos and demands of the busy schedule. The conditions the staff there endure—from disgruntled clients, to insane workload expectations—should make them grumpy and frustrated, but instead they were organized, efficient, and patient. Although this location seems to be very busy like many other LifeLabs, I would still recommend going here as the care I received and the care I watched others receive was wonderful.
Life labs should train all staff for the RMS Food Sensitivity test. It's unprofessional they are not aware of this and always gets told to return due to staff training.
It's a simple blood work one tube. Nothing different from all blood work they already do.
They have to ship it out. Should not be making people uncomfortable.
This is not covered on OHIP, we have to pay our selves for this and it should be accommodated better.
Patient service is one of the toughest jobs. Please be thankful to lab workers specially phlebs. I went with my family. We all had the best phlebotomy performed until now by one of the senior staffs.
Bathrooms are not well maintained and the staff here doesn’t give you clear instructions. They are all working as if they are busy dealing some other customers but looks like none of the customers get good service here. Having said that got the job done from here
Okay firstly, the people who work there have no professionalism except for the one nurse who drew blood from me and did the ECG. She’s very nice. Other than that the ladies who were in the front, ugh.then when I came into the room I saw this. Why isn’t there enough staff keeping the place cleanly?
If any one reading this requesting everyone not to go this location. I need to do my glucose test which required 3 blood work. They did only one. Which gave wrong results. And they dnt know what they are doing and what they need to do. They dnt even deserve one star.
Worst service i ever had. The lady was poked both of my hands because she couldn’t find the veins. Very rude and unprofessional.never go to this location
Worst service ever. They asked me to wait for 1 hr and promise to call but no one called and I go back after 1 hr and still had to wait. Then they put me in the cabin for blood test. And I waited there for about 30 mins. And no body came. I see lot of employees but seems like they dont want to work.
I used to come this location and get things done in 20 mins.
The staff was friendly and did their job. Unfortunately, for them this is the only location that is serving walk-ins in for most of Peel Region. People are coming in from Mississauga even. People complain of long wait-times and take it out on the staff. How's that fair? If anything, Life Labs should designate more locations as walk-ins. I went in for blood work and an ECG last Friday and was done in about an hour. I was pleased with the service provided.
Ridiculously busy Saturday mornings. Trying to keep 6ft apart but too many ppl. If you can get your tests done some other time, you should. Staff is great but overwhelmed with volume.
Th building enterance door had some issue but the clients at this lab were processed in timely manner. As it can get crowded so visit early or you can book appointments online, I believe. Some staff did look exhausted, but may be because it was early. Overall things went smoothly. Congratulations to the staff for working well.
For blood tests, this is great! Very smooth customer service and also very informative. I have had a lot of blood tests but this location is stood out from the rest due to their smooth process and friendly staff. Jaimini was doing my blood test and she did it so smoothly and calmly, that I felt no irritation or pain. This is great because typically, this is not the type of experience I have at other blood labs. Thank you for eveeything!
This place is over crowded and getting worse day by day. My wife booked an appointment at 3: 40 pm, she was there at 3: 28 pm and left there at 4: 20 pm, she had to pick kid from class at 4: : 30 pm I had to leave office early to go pick kid. What’s the point of appointment if these ladies are not going to follow it. Will not advise anyone to go here if they value time, only people who have nothing else to do and won’t mind catching the cold/flue viruses etc from other patients are welcome to do so.
It is a busy place even at 8: 30 AM (opens at 7: 30). You have to line up outside the door. Most of the staff are foreign born and don't even know how to smile or even say hi. Find another place if you can.
Everyone here is so helpful and supportive. My wife has thin veins and in last it always took more than 3-4 tries before drawing her blood however Prathibha here was able to do it in first shot and made us feel so much comfortable even while doing so. She is awesome. This location of LifeLabs is clean, cozy and great.
Everyone was so pleasant, especially Jamini. She was so kind and took my mind off of the process of blood work, as I can get faint and queezy. She made sure I felt comfortable before and after the blood was taken, she was so caring and very kind.
Yesterday I did my blood work at this center, The life labs blood collection cent @ 36 Vodden St E Technician perform the blood work, vacatuner she inserted I did not feel slightest pain when needle go in, Painless blood work, I really want to Appreciate her for her excellent skill she got, keep it up good luck️
1st time here and such phenomenal service. I have anxiety, when it comes to blood work. Norry was my technician and she completely distracted me asking me questions about my weekend and I felt a slight pinch and it was done within seconds. I responded by saying, "That's it"? She is so warm and such a beautiful spirit. Thank you again love! I'll only go to her, if I have choice
